They came to replace a short segment of pipe in a very small bathroom.  They wore masks, they minimized the mess and cleaned up after themselves.  They were quick, professional and polite.

Updating my rating and adding to my review of Little Big Plumbing because I've used them a third time. My realtor called them to run a video scope through the drain line of a house I am inspecting/considering. Mike and Savea (sorry if spelling is incorrect) came out, pulled up a toilet, and video scoped the drain quickly and answered a lot of questions that I had. Very friendly and knowledgable guys that didn't rush even though it was late on a Friday afternoon. They only charged me for an hour of their time, unlike some other plumbing companies I've used. They also emailed me the video. These are my go-to plumbers from now on. Thank you.

My water tank had evidence of corrosive leaking.  I contacted a few plumbers and appreciated Michael's approach.  He made an appointment to come and assess the situation before giving me a quote.  

Michael decided he would change out the corroded pipes and leave the water tank intact.  My water tank was only 3 years old.  That evening a friend prompted me to check my warranty - warranty was still good!  I managed to contact Michael not knowing what the next step would be.  He told me not to worry and he would contact the company about this, on my behalf.  

The water tank company had decided to replace my tank with a new one with a new warranty.  Michael took care of working with the local company/distributor to order the tank and pick it up to replace my current tank.  

Michael came to our place well-prepared.  It is evident that he takes PRIDE IN HIS WORK and IN YOUR HOME.  He takes all precautions to have protective blankets and mats in case of any water leaks while dismantling the tank.  He emptied the water tank with a hose to our bathtub.  His work is PRECISE and NEAT.  He works with CONFIDENCE.  There was a lot of sludge in our bathtub from draining the tank.  Michael insisted on cleaning it and brought a disinfectant spray with him to complete the task!

The drain pan under the water tank was mostly soiled with permanent old rusty water leaked stains.  I looked at Michael and said that I would prefer a brand new drain pan since the water tank was brand new.  Without hesitation, Michael said he would go and pick up one and be right back.

Michael exemplifies this quote: Treat others as you would want them to treat you.  He is KIND and a POLITE CONVERSATIONALIST.  PROFESSIONAL.  HONEST. TRUSTWORTHY.

They were called by my worthless American Home Shield warranty company for a leaky hot water heater.  LBP did come out, Micheal was friendly enough and recommended replacing the entire water heater without doing much trouble shooting.  Long story short as to why only 2 stars -  it took another 3 days to get an answer if the AHS was going to cover (from either AHS or LBP), then another 3 days to get a quote to repair.  I called every day (sometimes 2 or 3 times) just get an update, not once was the phone answered.  And my calls were rarely returned.  The quote was over $1,500.  I had the hot water heater fixed today for $600 by another company.  Mike the plumber was nice enough, I was disappointed with the company as a whole.

I called LBP and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist.  (Unlike the other places I called)  I described my problem and the job I needed done and she booked an appointment for 2 days later.  
The plumber (Michael) called me half an hour before his scheduled time and said he would be there in 30 minutes. He was right on time!! (When does that happen?!?!)  Upon arrival he entered my house without shoes, a big deal for me.  I showed him what I needed done and he said no problem.  He worked quickly and attacked each of the 3 issues diligently.  The 3rd task was snaking a washer drain that has been stuck for a loooooong time.  He spent an hour working on the drain and unfortunately was unsuccessful.  I was impressed at the time and energy he put in to it and he himself was also disappointed that he couldn't clear it.  (side note:  I haven't used that drain in 6 years, my fault that its so jammed)  When he gave me the bill, it was fair and honest but the most amazing part:  he didn't charge me for the HOUR he worked on the drain!  Not many places would do that!  He said he had to get one more part for my shower and would call to schedule that install.
His sweet receptionist called to schedule the install within 2 days.  Once again, he arrived promptly and worked efficiently.  
I would DEFINITELY recommend LBP, Michael is professional, clean, quick and knowledgeable.

LBP come to fix a leaky shower. They left after charging me a visit fee and never followed up after going away to order the replacement part. I called a few times and you will mostly get an answering machine. The one time I did get a person on the line, they didn't give me a reason for the delay and never called back again. This was over a month ago. I don't have any problem with the technician who visited, just with the poor communication and no follow up.

will not use again. Authorized a wax ring to be changed. Plumber broke the toilet flange and wanted to charge me for time and material to fix what he had broken. Was charged over $140.00 just to put the toilet back.

This company was assigned by AHS.  They provided excellent customer service and support.  Tom the plumber was prompt, called ahead to let me know he was 10 minutes away.  He replaced my corroded sink and leaky faucet, cleared away the trash and debris.  Great company to deal with.  Highly recommend

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever experienced with a vendor or subcontractor thus far.  Our 1st floor shower was clogged and backing up. We have coverage with American Shield so they sent Little Big Plumbing.
Their plumber said he cannot fix it because the clog is far away from the house - over 30 feet. So I asked him how he knows this without putting a chain or camera in there and he replied It is far away over 30 feet away, so we cannot help you.
Next I insisted that he put in a camera to confirm and pinpoint exactly where the clog is but he replied No, we cannot use a camera because this is over 30 feet away. I asked him if he has a camera & chain now and he said No.
I was suspicious because when we had pipes clogged in the past, it was usually an inch or two  from our cleanout in our yard - which is only and inch from the house patio so I insisted that they use a camera, but he refused and left.
So, I called Roto Rooter and they came instantly and he put in a camera for me to witness and saw him actually put in the chain and pull out what appeared to be a wet tissue in the pipe where it is curved - again only one inch from the cleanout and just 1 or 2 inches from the house. I had them write a report for me saying that it was  not 30 feet away but in fact, just a few inches from the house.
I called Little Big Plumbing to complain and a female answered and I told her what happened, but she repeated that the clog was over 30 feet away, so I told her that I have a report from Roto Rooter verifying that it was not 30 feet away but just a couple of inches away and she kept stonewalling me. Finally, I insisted to speak to the manager then another female came on and was very strong, rude and abrupt repeating the same thing saying and adding that they are not responsible. Finally, she told me to call American Shield about it, which I did.
American Shield asked me to send the invoice and report from Roto Rooter and reimbursed me $1,000 but insisted that I pay the $75 fee for just coming out to the  site and to double this to $150 since they are reimbursing me. What could I say? So I replied O.K.
I told the realtor who had referred American Shield to me what had happened and she said she has had bad service from Little Big Plumbing also.
Be aware! I sincerely hope that other customers are not taken - or ripped off - like we were.

We leased a new space and when the water was turned on discovered there was not any water in the upstairs bath.  Chris came out and took care of it promptly.  Had to re-route the water where it had been capped off.  Fair price and fast Service.  Mahalo Nui Loa.

I experienced nothing but excellent customer service with this company.  I had to make several calls and the ladies who helped me were patient and kind.  The service we needed was to get a cast iron clean out pipe camera'd to see what kind of shape it was in.  Mike and his partner came out and did the job, always providing explanations.  Mike was thorough and made sure we were satisfied with the job.  Hopefully we won't need to call him again, but will definitely use him and his company in the future.

A toilet cleaner object accidentally got flushed down the toilet couple days ago, which caused my toilet to get clogged.  I panicked whenI flushed the toilet, because it looked like it was going to overflow.  I called Little Big Plumbing in the evening, and they were willing to come out that night, but at a little higher price.  I opted to make an appointment for the next day.

Michael called me, asking if he could fix the toilet earlier, and we were able to meet at an earlier time.  He was on time, polite, and professional.  He asked what could have caused the toilet to clog, and I showed him a non-used toilet cleaner object, which he greatly appreciated.  He unclogged the toilet, and tested it at least 5 times to ensure that it was fixed.  He even asked if I wanted him to turn over the toilet, which I declined.  He told me there was a 24 hour warranty for that toilet from clogging up.

Michael brought wipes, and ensured whatever mess he had made was cleaned up.

He even did an easy fix (for him) for my water level in my tank.  

I'd definitely would call the for any plumbing problems.  The only draw back was the black stain from the plunger, and that can be fixed with a pumice stone and/or a denture cleaner tablets.

We had a very slow water leak so I called and it was easy to schedule an appointment. The kind lady taking my information over the phone said the plumber would call me while he got closer. Keone was right on time, as scheduled, and was pleasant to talk to.

I described what was going on and he checked on a few things. I gave him his space to work and wouldn't you know it, he had it all fixed before I could finish eating my lunch!

Talk about quick and knowledgeable! Mahalo Keone for the quick fix and explaining that it was a wax seal that needed replacement after normal wear and tear. I appreciate your help in fixing the leak!

Don came by to fix a valve problem on our bathtub. He was on time. He was polite. He was quick and efficient and professional. The hourly rate is fairly and favorably priced.  I will use them for all plumbing issues from here on.

Waited two hours for an estimator. When I made a comment ro him about my displeasure at having to wait so long, he said maybe I could find someone that was a better fit. He got in his truck and left.

Little Big Plumbing deserves its many positive reviews:  they were very professional in every respect, from how they answered the phone and returned calls immediately, how their plumbers, Chris and Josh, called me to let me know when they would be coming, to the work they performed in quickly diagnosing and repairing my leak problem. Chris and Josh were excellent. I am delighted to know who I can call if I ever have another plumbing problem.

Keone was absolutely fantastic! He got right to business and had my water heater replaced quickly. It feels nice to have hot water again. Definitely going to be using them again. Thanks Little Big Plumbing!

I have used Little Big Plumbing a few times.  They have always been very responsive and super friendly.  I trust that they will accomplish the work requested/needed in a timely manner with quality results.  I would definitely recommend.

I was assigned LBP by American Home Shield warranty and they did not disappoint! I was really hesitant bc the last few plumbers from other companies weren't that timely or professional. That was never the case with LBP. I would get text and email confirmation for my appointments. The technician would always call me when he was in route. Fixed the leaking valves and replaced two faucets. I would recommend to email or text LBP pics and info of what you need done ahead of your appointment.

Awesome service provided by Chris, very respectful of our place.  My initial provider was a no call no show but Chris made up for it. Very courteous and professional. I would definet fly use them again if needed. Pricing not half bad either.

Mike Wessel, the owner of this great firm, came out personally to our home to do some custom repairs of our very expensive gold fixtures. His work was efficient and fast. I appreciated that he called ahead to say he's on his way. I highly recommend you call them.

Excellent installation of a new kitchen faucet - had to cut away old faucet as it had rusted nuts, but completed the job efficiently and professionally.  Very professional and courteous - cleared away trash and cleaned before leaving - highly recommend Little Big of Kailua !

 I have a side by side sink set that connect before the tubes enter the wall. Both sinks would not drain and needed to have them snaked. I called a Little Big Plumbers after I couldn't get a hold of any other plumbers. The young lady I spoke to was very nice, and helpful. I explained the problem I was having with my sinks, and was greeted with a friendly response of how it would be fixed. She explained that it was going to be $125 per hour, but they weren't going to be able to come out for 24 hours. I told her that I wasn't going to be available then, so she mentions that for an extra $25 an hour they  can send someone from 6-8 tonight for an after hours service.  I agreed because I was told it shouldn't take more than an hour, obviously depending on how bad the clog was.

 The plumber, Chris,  showed up early, and was very friendly. I showed him where my sinks were and explained the problem I was having. 15 minutes into working he shows me a part of the cabinet under my sink he will have to cut to access the tubes. Ok, thats fine.

 After almost an hour (1) and 45 minutes he comes out of the bathroom, saying he finished the job. I go in to take a look, and we discuss payment. He says he is only going to charge me for 1 hour ($157.07) because he got my white carpet dirty, and some of the water spilled in the cabinets under my sink. Along with this, there are dirty fingerprints on my cabinet doors. Apparently when he started working, he decided not to lay down any sort of tarp, or towel for when he had to remove the water.

 I'm happy that my sinks are working, and that it only cost me the one (1) hour, but now I'm going to have to use the $150 I saved to get my carpet cleaned.

When other plumbers on the premises for bigger jobs looked at my dripping shower taps, they all indicated that the fixture was too old and they did not have the parts. When I called other plumbers just for this issue, they did not want to make time for a small repair, Little Big Plumbing came. They made the repair with standard parts and took a reasonable anount of time. I'm a fan.

I clearly explained the problems over the phone. They very easily could have told me that those services are not covered over the phone. But instead they showed up just to waste my time and money tell me that the service I requested was not supported and then stuck their hand out asking for money.

Two reviews here.  I found this review in my drafts as I was planning to write a review for LBP.  Then I'll add my new review after it.

Early 2013:  One of the toilets in the house I'm renting was leaking around the base, and when I went to replace the wax seal, I found out that the toilet had been installed without a flange!  
I called LB Plumbing based on their Yelp reviews. The phone receptionist was very courteous and professional, and arranged for a plumber to come to the house.  The timeframe that they arranged was very short (4pm to 6pm), which conveniently allowed me time to get home from work (without leaving too early).  Chris and AJ showed up right on time, ran to get the parts they needed, and had the repairs done before I knew it.  The price was a lot less than I was expecting (which my landlord will appreciate), and the repairs came with a 3 month warrantee.
I was very happy that I called this company -- excellent service at a great price.  I would give them my strongest recommendation.

26 Oct 2018:  I'm in a different house now, this one I own, so I only want to call a plumber I trust.   My first thought was to call LB Plumbing, and I'm glad I did.   I needed a new toilet installed, and rather than mess with it myself, I called to have it done professionally.   I removed the old toilet, and when I called, the receptionist took notes on what I needed (new wax seal, bolts, etc) and I was happy to see that these were reflected on the invoice I later received.   Tom called prior to arriving at the house and actually arrived a few minutes early.  He completed the installation quickly (less than an hour) and had all of the parts he needed.  He caulked around the new toilet and left the work area very clean.  Awesome job!  

Once again, I'm very happy with LBP's work.  I'll definitely use them again!

Today I had a meeting at one thirty in the afternoon, and woke up to a bathtub full of water because of a drain malfunction. I was panicked. I immediately called Little Big Plumbing and they were out to my house and had the drain working before eleven. Josh was the plumber who serviced our tub and he was wonderful! Got the job done and was extremely pleasant and polite. I will not hesitate to call these guys next time I have a plumbing problem.

Not very happy with the service of this company.  They were assigned to us through American Home Shield (AHS) for a job on July 3rd.  We were not able to get an appointment until July 9th.  The individual that showed up stated that we needed to change the shower valve and trim.  When he tried to disconnect the stem faucet it broke off (due to a lot of rust, wear and tear).  He saw that it was galvanized older plumbing, and stated he couldn't do anything today, looks more than just a stem replacement.  He FaceTime'd with someone and discussed the situation.  The closed out that service request and on July 10th, a new Service request number was assigned.  Four days later on July 14th, we received an e-mail from Little Big Plumbing (LBP) with an estimate for $1,105.96 to do a Two handle shower valve replacement; the estimate did not include tile replacement.; We responded with waiting to hear from AHS and our warranty work.  Note, LBP, by contract are not supposed to contact the client with a bill until after the appraisal is reviewed and approved (which had not been completed yet).  To us it looked crooked and they were just trying to get some side money.  On July 16th - Called LPB again and this time talked to owner Mike about the invoice/job; he stated he was waiting on AHS, stated he would get back to me on Friday  July 17th, nothing heard.  July 20th rolls around and LBP (Mike) called with no update, blamed AHS
On July 21st - Messaged LBP that we have not heard back from them; he responded that we would not hear back from him and that AHS should be our next call.  He stated he e-mailed their rep at AHS on Thu July 16th; AHS rep contacted them on Fri July 17th and that they would have the authorization supervisor contact us about our service.  On July 22nd - Contacted AHS on the status of our work orders;  the rep stated they authorized the work on July 14th to change out the shower valve and trim.  However, on July 22nd LBP Transferred Work Order stated they would not do the job and send someone else.  We have tried to call LBP and they will not return our calls.  Their contract just left the job site with a broken shower faucet...not totally unusable (before it was just leaking).  I would not do business with this company again, a bunch of crooks and unprofessional.

Update 7/26...looks like the owner Michael W wrote a response to my above post.  Here is a rebuttal to his comments, some of which are a FLAT OUT LIE.

Some of these errors are with AHS on the status of the claim not changing on their site, no phone or e-mail updates, nothing at all. So information initially came from LBP.  However, when we called AHS, we received a different side of the story.  We don't have a dog in this fight, we just have different info from LBP vs AHS.

AHS may not consider further authorization because LBP broke the tub spout and it obviously was wear and tear if it was rusted and just broke off.  However, the way LBP reported it back to AHS made it sound that it wasn't wear and tear (thus not covered by AHS).  It is strange that LBP states that the repair was not authorized as of 7/12, as AHS told us that it WAS authorized on 7/14. It is a complete lie that we requested an estimate/bid, LBP sent an estimate to us unsolicited, which is against the contract/policy between LBP and AHS (we are told).  LBP is just trying pull a slick one on us behind AHS's back with a $1000+ estimate.  

As for insults and harassment calls/text messages from Gina to LBP...she is a Special Education teacher of 29 years and has the patience of a Saint.  Here is her text verbatim: #1 We have not heard back from you. You said you would get back to us by Friday. (it was 5 days later when he finally replied). Text #2: You received the authorization from AHS, I am on the phone now with AHS doing your job (no response). Text #3: This is to change out the valve and trim (no response).  Text #4: This is what your guy left (picture of cracked valve he broke).  Text #5: We are also told that your tech broke the valve. I guess it was rusted. Hmm, I think that goes under wear and tear. You owe us a new valve. These text message are not threatening in any way, nor were the phone calls. Mike would like you to believe otherwise to discredit us with pernicious comments about us.  In two phone conversations, we expressed our frustration of the communication and execution of this work and that we'd be writing a one star review.

Update July 30th.  AHS reassigned our claim to D.Barretto's, they called us the next day to set up an appointment.  Jason came to the house, diagnosed the problem and fixed our issue in less than an hour.  He did it on the spot.  No extra fees out of our pocket and everything works.  Not sure why these different plumbers see the same problem differently.  I can only assume they are out to make it worse than it is to get more money.  What a difference in the correspondence, professionalism, and actions!

I contacted 9 plumbers on the island. Michael replied fast, organised a time for me next day and Tom (the plumber who came out) was a nice guy, did the job quick and was very personable.

I would recommend them, especially for out of towners to the island.

There is absolutely nothing LITTLE about the heart, expertise, competency and aloha of this company.  Based upon the YELP reviews, I called this morning about my leak, was greeted warmly and was scheduled in for an early evening appointment.  Michael was incredible, he got to the problem very quickly, which masked a much larger problem.  With gusto he attacked the clogged drain.  In all of our years of calling folks in to help with the drain, this is first time someone got under the house, opened up the pipes and flushed away the madness.  

They will be my go-to people from now on!  Not only did he take care of business, Michael, our archangel, did customer education, discussed on corrosive home remedies for our pipes and was a genuine good sport about being followed around incessantly by my son.  

Not only is he great with pipes, drains, plumbing, he's incredible with young adults with autism.  Michael for Mayor!

I had a minor issue in that the faucet on kitchen sink was loose.  I could not get to it to tighten due to space restriction.  Little Big Plumbing came the same day i called.  It took a bit because the faucet had to be removed first to install properly.  Now it works great.  Also, only a few minutes into the two hour window the tech called to tell me he was on another project that was taking longer than expected.  I very much appreciate that call as it allowed me to do other things while waiting.  When he arrived, the problem took a bit longer for valid reasons, and when he left 45 an hour later, the problem was resolved.  Yes!  After putting up with problem for so long, it is fixed.  Yay.  BTW, i am not from San Francisco as posting automatically shows.  Don't know why.  i am in Honolulu.

I had such a positive, initial first encounter with Mike and Brendalyn of Little Big Plumbing.  He did seem very nice and patient, and willing to go through all the things wrong with our solar water heater.  It is 120 gallons and in a tight spot.  I had such high hopes that he and his staff would be able to help us and take on this job (@ one of the higher bids, btw).  He emailed the invoice, we thought about it for a day and decided to go with his company.  Then, SUPRISE!  I get a phone call from Mike the next day saying he didn't feel comfortable dealing with such a large heater and the potential it had for damaging the house as they tried to bring it out and down the stairs. He and his crew were all small guys, he said, about 150 lbs each.  He even wanted us to go with a smaller heater, even though 7 people depend on it for hot water and, clearly that would've been a struggle. He left us high and dry (pun intended) with only a referral to Ponchos Solar.  He wasted mine and my family's time.  Meanwhile I'm heating up water in my microwave to give my 15 month old a bath at night. He really did disappoint us.  So I really don't know what kind of work they do, because he refused to do it.  He should've refused from the very beginning and not wasted our time. The funny thing is we are planning a number of plumbing jobs to refurbish our home and as a result, we don't trust him and have to start from scratch to find a new plumber.

We have had little big plumbing service our units quite a bit until this past incident and after this past installation, I don't think we will be doing business with them ever again.  We had a leaking water heater and requested it to be replaced.  The water heater is under the counter in our kitchen, a short water heater.  We called our warranty company American Home Shield and they designated Little Big Plumbing as the tech.  Michael came out on a Friday evening and diagnosed the problem, took the dimensions of the water heater and was waiting for authorization to process the order.  The following installation appointment was made for Wednesday.  Rather than installing a short water heater (which is what we had in unit before), Little Big Plumbing installed a Tall water heater.  

Ummm hello, a tall water heater IS NOT the same as an under the counter water heater.  A tall and short water heater may not mean much if the unit is outside in garage or closet but in a small apartment kitchen where every inch of space is valuable (think of real estate in Tokyo), we lost much needed counter space for the microwave and we need to find a contractor to build a cabinet to enclose this water heater so its not an eyesore!

We have tried calling them to rectify the situation but to this day have not heard back.  I have called American Home Shield as well and have been put on the back burner.  Both parties are pointing fingers at each other for the blame in the mistake, but as a consumer, i really don't care who made the mistake, I just want the situation rectified so I don't have to remodel my kitchen for a water heater!

After the installation, we called a contractor friend of our over to assess the situation, and he told us that the hot water pipe is not supposed to be exposed or facing out, that is was a hazard if the cabinets are accessed.  Not only that but we have to remodel the kitchen to create counterspace now.  If we had known this was the outcome, we would have definitely opted out and used a more professional plumber.  

For simple fixes, leaky pipes, dripping faucets, I think they can handle.  But for bigger jobs, find another plumber, you might have to remodel your home for a simple installation.

Bren returned my call quickly and was knowledgable and friendly.  Chris came on time and was professional and courteous.  He was able to assess and address the problems I had in my apartment and was even able to resolve a couple during the estimate call!  This was huge for me!

We have worked with LBP a few times at a couple of different homes. They touched basically every fixture in my house and added some new items like a gas dryer and tankless water heater for me. I requested some details to make the installs in the house a little more sleek such as plumbing the washing machine waste in the wall instead of draining into my sink. They accommodated all my requests. I am super chill about having people working on the place and doing their thing but they keep to a professional style. They keep work areas tidy. Their plumbing work is nice, I wish I could leave it exposed and not put on the drywall. I really can't recommend them enough.

I contacted a few plumbers but one was condescending over the phone and others didn't have availability.
Little Big Plumbing booked us within a few days and Savea came to install our new water heater. We had arranged to have our previous one hauled as well at an additional cost, but unfortunately he didn't have enough space in his van.
I can deal with getting the old one hauled later on our own.
What mattered most was getting an appointment booked quickly and fair pricing. Both the lady who took the appointment and Savea were very courteous. We will be in touch for future plumbing needs.

Hmm...with all due respect sir, the time to keep my trust would have been to cut me a break when I asked for it.  You wouldn't need to regain anything.  If you rely so much on positive customer experience then make your customers happy.  I thought I was an exception, but you seem to have several other bad reviews.  The time to make any offers came and went when I paid the extra $67.50. Maybe you can use it as a donation to yelp so they can add my review to the other 1 star reviews that have been moved to the not currently recommended category at the bottom of your yelp page.  

I wouldn't worry too much though.  You seem to have many happy and satisfied customers who left the 5 star reviews you rely on.  Only 7 people found my review useful.  I don't think my review made much of an impact on other people's decision to use your services.

good response and showed up on time.. just very pricey!! changed the water fill valve in my toilet tank, took less than 15 min and a ten dollar part, was charged $175... have used other companies in the past for less...

These guys have provided consistent service.  We had an issue with an instant on heater and they tweaked it, so it now works much better.

I contacted Little Big Plumbing because I wanted to replace the water heater in my condo unit.  Megan answered and was familiar with the condo, knew what type of water heater I needed, and gave me a very reasonable quote over the phone.  Just based on my first phone call, I knew I was dealing with a company that was organized and experienced.

My instincts were right.  The water heater came in before the estimated date I was given.  The plumber was on time, got the job done quickly, and did good work.  Billing was easy and emails were quickly answered. What more could I ask for?  I will be using Little Big Plumbing for all my future plumbing issues.

Let's get it right,  I did not refuse to pay, I paid for the rough in and was not happy so I told you I was going to use someone else to install the fixtures.
You agreed that since you did not finish my water heater install that that was fine.
As far as the mess up you made with not plumbing out the 2 other pipes. Why would I have you install knobs with settings for those pipes and not want them installed.
If I knew you would not answer my call or texts, I would not have signed your iPad that you hurried me to sign, after I told you that the shower pipe was still too short, you said they sell adapters at Ace or home depot. After I signed your iPad you told me your the best let me know if you need anything.
If this is how you treat your customers then I would still nit recommend you

Michael was friendly and professional. I appreciated that he called before coming and gave me his card on arrival. When he arrived he knew right away what the problem was, and was fast in fixing the leaking pipes. I also like the fact that they offer a 90-day warranty. After trying three different bottles of heavy duty chemicals and attempting to snake the shower drain myself, I broke down and called a plumber. I called at 9 am, left a message, and within an hour I got a courteous call back. We sheduled an afternoon appointment (6-8pm). I got a call from the technician at 3pm telling me that there was an opening but I was knee deep in my job (very much appreciated the call). The tech arrived at 7:30pm with average tools. After a half hour of persistence, Mike (tech# 3000), went back to his van and brought out the big guns.

SUCCESS!

We all breathed a sigh of relief while watching the standing water drain away. The technician just left the house. Mike, thank you for being positive, persistent and professional. I would definitely reccomend Little Big Plumbing to anyone and I would use them again.

Our newly installed kitchen sink was leaking.  The contractor that installed it struggled for almost eight hours it fix it.  Within two weeks it was leaking again.  I called Little Big Plumbing to fix it.  In less than 1 hour the job was done, up to code.  It was refreshing to see what a professional plumber can do.  Well done Mike, highly recommended!

my bathroom sink was clogged really bad.
I tried drano max gel many times but didn't work... I called them around 2pm and they said they can come on the same day which is great because I don't have any day off until next week.  The plumber guy came at 6pm which is right on time. He was really polite and professional. He did great job and cleaned up really well after he fixed my sink. Highly recommend them!!!!

We had two experiences with LBP - one was right after another incompetent contractor messed up plumbing in our bathroom. These guys were on-time, professional, and courtesy. They did really good work too. We kept their business card and would definitely call them again!

On very short notice, RJ came to my condo around 6:30pm to fix a leak in my bathroom (after he had already put in a full days work).  He took care of my problem competently  and professionally and the timely response definitely saved my flooring.  Even after I had paid RJ, RJ went down the elevators to his van and back to grab some towels to clean up some minor areas on the floor.  I found that rather impressive given that most folks would have probably settled for home at that point or might have even charged for the additional time.

Overall, I am very comfortable saying that I would highly recommend.  On a side note, their business cards were top notch and it will definitely be going into my rolodex.

I have dealt with Little Big Plumbing before & was completely satisfied with every aspect of the experience.   Called their office around 2pm yesterday & spoke to a very friendly young lady named Megan.  She was very professional & courteous.  Was hoping they could fit me in yesterday, but it was pretty late in the day already, so when Megan called me back to say the earliest they could schedule me was between 8am - 10am this morning I told her that would work fine.  After that call, I received a text from Megan, to confirm my appointment.

I had asked Megan about the Plumber that came to our house the last time I made use of their services, his name is Savea.  I was thrilled to find out that he was still working for them, so I asked if he could be the one to take care of our plumbing needs.  From the last time, I had found out that he actually luves right down the street from me, so I thought it would be very convenient for him.

I was lucky once again, as Savea was the one sent to our house!  He's such a nice young man & very professional!  This time he had a partner & I forgot to ask his name, but he was very nice also.  I showed him the problem area, our toilet, LOL!  Explained what was happening & he said he knew exactly what needs to be done.  He explained what the main problem was, but ask if I wanted a couple of other small parts changed out, so I said sure!  Before they started the work, he showed me how much the total would be, which turned out to be on the lower side of what I was expecting.  Gave him the thumbs up & they began working.  I was watching TV, so I wasn't paying attention to the time, but before I knew it, they were done.  He showed me what was done, gave the toilet a test flush & we were all good again!  Settled the bill & they were on their way.

Shortly after Savea & his partner left, I received a text from Megan, asking if I was satisfied with my experience & their service.  I replied back that I was completely satisfied.

2 for 2 wonderful experiences!  Will definitely recommend anyone call on Little Big Plumbing for their plumbing needs!

Chris is awesome!  He saved us from TWO leaks, one in the house and one in the yard.  His personality is very respectful and he is very focused on getting the job done  Very professional.  We asked him for a quote for additional work because we were so satisfied with his work.  Mahalo Chris!

I needed to replace my toilet since it had a crack.  Michael came to do the replacement, and he was courteous, professional, and he kept the area clean as he was removing the old toilet, and installing the new one.  I peeked into look, and the old toilet was on a pad to not damage the floor and tub.  
He even had me flush the new toilet, so I would know the sound.
I have done business with them before, and they did a wonderful job.

We saw good reviews on yelp so we decided to go with them and they really were great!  We were able to get an appointment within a couple days (there was no urgency) and they were able to fix the problem within an hour of being here on 2 toilets!  Will definitely will use them again in the future :)

I am a Property Manager on Oahu. I call Little Big for all of the Plumbing Issues for my units. I have found them to be easy to work with, prompt (which is hard to find!) and fair with their rates.  They send invoices in a timely manner, are very helpful with estimates, and do great work.  I'm very picky when it comes to vendors and I would recommend Little Big to anyone without hesitation. I almost don't want to write this review cause once word gets out, they may be too busy to help with future plumbing issues! LOL!

These guys are really professional and courteous. I use them twice. You don't need to wait in a long line. They come to your house quickly. The receptionist handled the situations very well on the phone. The plumbers are very knowledgeable. They did a great job! I will refer them to many of my clients.

Other business associates were raving about the prompt quality service they received from Little Big Plumbing -- so when I needed my two sinks fixed, I called and made an appointment.  Chris called 20 minutes before arriving, arrived in clean uniform and was extremely efficient -- letting me know the process and estimated costs to replace both faucets, went to the store to get replacements and completed the entire job in two hours.  He cleaned up and replaced my junk under the sinks,   I was really impressed with the quality of the work, the clear communication and great customer service -- oh, and the final bill was below the estimated cost of the job.  I recommend them highly and will only use them from now on.  Thank you Chris and LittleBigPlumbing!

We have used Little Big Plumbing twice for problems with the two showers in our house.  It was a fantastic experience from the initial phone call until they were done fixing the problem.  The receptionist was super nice and both of the service guys who came to our house were extremely professional and very nice.  And were able to fix the problems in no time.  We are planning on using them for all of our plumbing needs in the future and will recommend them to all of our friends!

Brendalyn was very diligent in contacting me to schedule a visit. I was told Mike would arrive between 2and 4pm, and at 1:45pm, I got a call from Mike saying he was on his way.
When Mike arrived, his demeanor and professionalism were exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about the particular issue I had called about and even referred me to local parts places to save money in the future.

Our shower leak was repaired, and the whole process (even the payment) were pain-free! I would highly recommend LBP to anyone who has plumbing needs.

UNETHICAL, GOUGED ME, WORST PLUMBING EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD.   first, they charge $75 to come out and give an estimate.  This is NOT applicable to work they subsequently do.  But I was stuck, I was leaving in 2 days so I agreed to pay $75 for the estimate.  (which no other plumbing company anwyhere charges.  They apply it to work you hire them to do)  I asked them to do several tasks, including instaling new shut off valves for the washer and dryer under the bathroom sink in my condo.  I went over the job with the woman who booked the appt, and with the first man who came from Little Big.  He said he needed another person to help take the door off so they could service the washer/dryer.  The owner arrived, Mike Wessell, arrived, and the two of them worked for about an hour.   When he said they were done, I checked the work, and they'd installed the valves in the wrong place!  Behind the washer dryer, not under the sink.  I wish you'd told me that sooner, he said.  I told your assistant and your booker. Think about it, if the valves are behind the machinery and I can't get behind the machinery, what use are the valves?  That's why I asked for them to go under the sink.  Mike let his worker go and re-did the job himself.  Then he gave me a bill for installing two sets of valves.  When I protested that he'd made a mistake with the first valve, he said, okay, I'll take that charge off, but then I'm gonna charge you for an extra man on the job, which I didn't do before.  When he totaled that up, it was MORE than the original bill.  I should have refused to pay, but I had other appointments so I wrote him a check.  I wish I had canceled it, or taken it up with our building manager, who'd recommended him.   As a consequence, the manager refuses to recommend him or have him work in the building.  FIND A DIFFERENT PLUMBER.  SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND AGGRAVATION.

Replaced an old food disposal with and slightly lower horsepower model at the Michael's recommendation and am thoroughly happy with the installation, but more so with the quietness of the new disposal. I can hardly hear it.

I am really happy overall even though this was a just a snake job in my kitchen sink.  When I first called to arrange service I did have to leave a message, but was called back and an appointment was set up for the next day.  Timing was perfect.  The plumber, Keoni was very pleasant and professional.  Although casual in his conversation, I could really tell he knew what he was doing.  The clog turned out to be a little more complex, but he recognized the problem and quickly changed equipment to fix the problem.  In all, it took less then an hour of my time.  Another nice thing, is he barely left anything for me to clean up.  Most times, I end up having to do a big scrub down from service issues, but can put back my kitchen now with little effort after the visit.  I will keep their number on hand for sure if I do encounter any future plumbing issue and not hesitate at all to ask for their assistance.

We had a terrible experience with another plumber, who left us hanging for weeks, only to quit because the job was too hard. Little Big was then assigned to us by AHS, and they were awesome. The managed the work order over the phone and through pics, and had the job done withing a week. I will definitly use them again if needed.

Little Big Plumbing was recommended by our real estate agent when we bought our house.  We worked with them to inspect the plumbing before we closed on our house, and we were very impressed with the quality of service for such a reasonable price.  Since then, we have trusted Little Big Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs.  From simple repairs to a complete rework of the plumbing in our downstairs guest room shower (including beautiful retile of the interior), they have done fantastic work.  Meghan was always very responsive when we called, and Michael (who did all the skilled work) was very meticulous and professional.

2015: I  had gas line installed on my property. I live in a neighborhood where there is no natural gas.  So I had to go the propane route.  Mike did the permit to city and constructed gas piping in accordance to the city and Hawaii gas specification.

Now I have a gas stove and gas water reheater. Im very please and a price you can't beat

2016:  I had a new HUGE tub installed in my house. It's like 2 1/2 feet deep. I so wanted a ofuro tub.  I had HUGE vanity sink and HUGE HUGE walk in shower steam room also installed.   I call Mike for services again. I needed him to do all the plumbing for those 3 features  I didn't want the contractor to do it because I only want Mike to do the plumbing.  The reason being is that he redid my entire piping in my house when I first I bought the house and I wanted him to do any new additional plumbing because I trust him plus I had some tile work still pending and Mike said he will finish up after I finish up the tile work. Great person and Outstanding plumber   Just FYI.  I still haven't done the tile work yet. Ugh!

2017: i called Mike again because I noticed that my common bathroom started to smell ripe.  He told me that the previous contractor  (this is before I met Mike) didn't install a toilet vent   Mike never touch those pipes before because that part of the house was unlivable at that time.  When I renovated a contractor did those pipes.  Now u know why I just want Mike to do my plumbing.   Never again I will let a contractor do my plumbing.

2017:  I bought a dishwasher. Just in case if I ever decide to rent my house.  I'm old school. Hand wash dishes and drip dry.  I just use the dishwasher for Tupperware storage.   Again I had to call Mike to do the plumbing for the dishwasher.  Man of his word finish the job in 3 hours.

Again this company great and very competitive pricing.  Thanks again.

Oh yeah as for the tile job. I still haven't done it yet.  I apologize to Mike and he said no worries just let me know when the tile job complete

As homeowners in a condominium, one of the biggest fears that we have is having a flood occur from our upstairs neighbors which could leak into our unit or for OUR plumbing to burst which may cause damage below.  So, while we originally planned to upgrade our kitchen sink and faucet fixture, we inspected our unit's plumbing and discovered that the supply line to our water heater had rusted (even though it's only 3 years old).  We quickly called Little Big Plumbing to address this issue before our fear could materialize.

Making an appointment through Megan was quick and easy.  My husband described the issues, provided our address and then all we needed to do was wait.  Megan scheduled Mike (owner/master plumber) to come to our unit and he arrived right on time!  He quickly changed out the supply line with copper pipe, which is a lot more durable than what was originally there.  We even discussed our plan to replace our kitchen sink with Mike and replacing our washing machine valves with copper ones as we're concerned about durability and safety.   He will be placing an order for the deeper kitchen sink model that we selected and will return to install it.

Mike was personable and efficient.   He provided an invoice which itemized materials, labor and estimate for upcoming sink removal/installation and washing machine valve replacements.  We look forward to his return because now we can rest assured that we won't have a water heater burst.

My initial experience was great, I was able to speak with someone (she was sweet), get a quote & schedule an appointment. Then the plumber came out and didn't do the one thing I really needed because I asked about other separate services, and I needed to get another estimate? He also suggested opening up my floors instead of going in the crawl space. He said I would receive an estimate & I wasn't contacted after that. I ended up going somewhere else & got everything I needed done without hesitation.

I've used Little-Big Plumbing several times over the last two years.  The service has always been excellent.  They are respectful, clean up, and do a very trustworthy and solid job with faucets, pipes, disposals.  So pleased I found them.  Weekend service is great, as plumbing seems to know when to fail.

Great experience!  We had bad luck from other plumbers quoting a low price to get in the door and then charging much more in the end by exaggerating labor hours and inflating parts prices.  Little Big Plumber was honest and fair.  

Tom showed up on time with work and cleaning supplies ready to get started.  He was knowledgeable, professional, and had impeccable manners.  He knew what he was doing and worked quickly.  He even helped us when building maintenance accidentally turned the water back on.  He quickly resolved the situation, doing everything he could to save us.  He treated our home as if it was his own.

The service itself was fine. The customer service was not so fine. I was charged a late fee for a missed appointment (during which I was home), then when they were late for the re-scheduled appointment, they denied being late and did not wave the fee from the previous missed appointment.

Please note that some of these reviews about this company are not in Hawaii at all. Could be another company by the same name.

Savea Maina was the plumber who came to help me relocate my toilet.
He was prompt to the appointment. Knowledgeable and friendly. We discussed what needed to be done and what my options were with me doing some of the work. Savea cut the old cast iron sewer pipes quickly and completed what I asked him to do in short order. Highly recommend Little Big Plumbing!
