David is very efficient, professional and completed the job in a skillful manner. He also made useful recommendations.

Sounds a bit crazy, but I had seen a Mac's Plumbing truck around Kailua and was impressed with it. As a property manager, I had a couple of minor repairs at one of my properties. I called three different Windward plumbers and had to leave messages at all but Mac's. They were able to schedule my repairs within a day or two. And while doing the repairs, the old spigot on one of the bathroom sinks was bad and Dave was willing to wait for me to run down to the hardware store to pick up a new one. When all was said and done, I was very pleasantly surprised to get a very reasonable bill for services. From here forward, I will only be calling Mac's Plumbing.

I just had a faucet replaced and the ice water line replumbed and cannot say enough good things about David.  He communicates well, is timely, very proficient and efficient and is very reasonably priced.  He will undoubtedly be our plumber of choice from here on out.

The last thing we needed was our water heater going out, so when I walked into the laundry room and there was a growing puddle on the floor we started to looking online for a plumber.

As much as I like Yelp, when I saw all the five star reviews made me a bit skeptical about calling Mac's Plumbing. I mean, who gets that many good reviews? We ended up calling a few other companies, but Mac's was the most professional and responsive so we ended up going with them.

I can truly say that Dave (who owns Mac's Plumbing) lives up to all the great reviews. We got an estimate over the phone, then Dave came down to check what hardware was needed before the installation and confirmed the estimates. He brought someone else to install the water heater, but came before and after the job to inspect everything. He also was very helpful and gave us some advice on how to fix another problem with the pipes that we'd been having (and it worked)!

Mac's does big and small jobs, and if I ever need plumbing work done he'll be the first one I call.  As another Yelper said, they are professional and extremely trustworthy.

Eight months after a major bathroom remodel, and thousands of dollars, everything backed up into the shower, no toilet. Called for emergency assistance at 1:30; called two hours later to inform us that they couldn't come for TWO days. Called Greekz Plumbing, who offered to come by after their next job TODAY. I said tomorrow morning would be swell. You don't always get what you pay for.

I called David at Mac's Plumbing because he had such good reviews on Yelp.  He returned my call quickly and worked with our schedules to get to our problem as quickly as possible.   I'm thrilled with is fast trouble shooting and solution.

Read your reviews on Yelp re:  Mac's Plumbing.  Called yesterday, and were here the next morning.  Good information from David, re: what to replace and quality of products to purchase.  This is their first visit, and I am very pleased with their service.  David is given well deserved praise on your Yelp reviews.

I've had Mike and Dave help us with a few different plumbing issues and recently had them setup a new dishwasher setup for us. Working with contractors and people in construction in general can be frustrating, but these guys are wonderful. They show up on time, do a good job, and they maintain a clean work environment. I've been happy every time we've hired them. And they honor the prices they quote you.

Needed a toilet replaced called them got great advice on procuring the toilet and they installed it the next day. Very responsive, polite, professional. Payment was very quick and easy. Not to mention they did this while I was out of town.

My water heater conked out, so I called these guys on a suggestion from a friend. A professional, very nice person answered the phone, took my info, and said she'd call me back in a bit. Sure enough, within the hour, she called back with an appointment time for the same day!

About 10 minutes before the appointment, their guy, Dave, called me to say he was on his way and even described the truck he was driving so I'd know it was him!

Dave came in, looked at my heater for a bit, and then clearly explained everything to me--what he saw, what he thought, what he did--and then gave me my options. After he did some work, he walked me through it again, told me what to do if it didn't work, and even told me what the next step would be if he had to come back (and how much work it would require).

Overall, they were friendly, professional, and extremely trustworthy.

I never got to meet Mac but want to thank him for seeing us in less than 48 hours from our call. Very professional service, our specialist who arrived made the point to show exactly what was wrong, and how he was going to fix it. Very affordable, quick and knowledgeable! Thanks Mac and Yelp for a quick fix for our leak!

So thoroughly impressed with Mac's Plumbing.  I waited until just about every plumbing fixture in my house needed repair before finally calling Mac's. Dave took a look at all my fixtures and suggested I call Delta for parts replacements because of Delta's life-time warranty (I had no idea such a thing existed and was prepared to buy new parts!).  Sharing this piece of info with me saved me a $hit-ton of money as I was able to get a bunch of replacement parts and fixtures for free.  And this first visit by Mac's was free!  Once all the parts were delivered (took about 1 week), I called Mac's again and this time Mike came out to do the work.  He did a great job.  Replaced my sink faucet, replaced the shower head and cartridge, replaced my other shower cartridge, fixed the running toilet, replaced my kitchen sink review AND ran to the store for add'l parts all within 3.5 hours.  So impressed with the amazing service, professionalism, and fair hourly rates.  Mac's Plumbing will be my go-to plumber from now on.

Well the day before Thanksgiving we decided to tackle changing out our sink and plumbing however looking at the project it was way to stressful for us. So we made the call to Mac's Plumbing and he rescued our pre-Thanksgiving project!! He was AWESOME!!!!! We will use him again for sure!! Thanks Mac's Plumbing (David) for SAVING our THANKSGIVING!!!

Awesome!  I found  Mac's on Yelp and called them around 9am and Michael answered.  He told me he could be there the same day in the afternoon and would call me 20 minutes before he arrived.  That is exactly what he did.  He found the problem with our leaky toilet and resolved the issue for a very reasonable price.  They have my future business.

PS  I also called Johnson's plumbing and left a message right before my call to Mac's and I am still waiting to hear back from them.

David came over to survey the place and he gave a thoughtful, accurate assessment of old and worn valves and pipes, and he recommended efficient ways to solve them.  Mike came over to do the service and he was knowledgeable, professional and efficient.  The home is in better shape and I will call them back again.

Earlier this year I called because one of our toilets was running (we have 3) and I thought that I remembered that one having been repaired by this company earlier.  When the technician assessed the toilet he told me that they had not repaired our toilet before.  I told him to go ahead and fix it.  I had used there services before and was happy.  I thought they were very reasonable.  Toilet got fixed quickly and I was billed. The bill was HUGE.  i couldn't believe that I had given the go ahead without getting an estimate.  I assumed (never do that again) that it would be a quick and easy fix (compared to other work that was done) at a reasonable price.  I am not a plumber, but I would have/could have done this myself.  I send the payment in full with a note stating that I did not feel the price was fair.  A few days later I got my check back with a note stating that I should decide what I thought the job was worth.  I subtracted a 1/2 hour from the 90 minute charge (he was only there for about 30 minutes) and send the new check with my idea of what was fair.  It was still more than I expected to pay, but they have to make a living too.  Then a few months later the toilet started leaking again.  The contraption they put in was unlike anything I understood or my son understood and I couldn't find any information on YouTube to follow and fix.  I emailed Max Plumbing on the website stating that there was a problem and I identified myself as the one who adjusted my payment a few months ago and that I didn't know if they wanted to do business with me...  Well, I never heard anything from them and the toilet leaked and got worse as time passed.  Finally yesterday I bought a complete set up to replace the set up that was in there.  It took me 3 hours to removed and replace the set up they had put in.  Now I can see the flapper and replace as/if needed.  Soooo  the leak is fixed and I am now a certified plumber (in my families eyes).  I will not be using this company and wish those who do the very best.  Thank you for listening to my story.

These guys had a fair estimate, communicated well, worked very hard, and showed up when they were supposed to. What more could you ask for?

I recently had a plumbing incident which resulted in me coming down the stairs one Mon. morning and stepping into almost an inch of water in my kitchen/dining room.  I had to turn off the water to the house to stop the leak.
My neighbor highly recommended Dave from Mac's plumbing, telling me that he'd used him at his houses and his business.  I called Dave that evening and he was able to come out on Wednesday.  He fixed the problem quickly and at a very reasonable price.

One of the first things that Dave noticed while we were under the house was a much larger problem just waiting to happen.  I have to be honest and say that I knew about the issue, but was pretty much ignoring it until I had more time to give it some thought.  Since he pointed it out, we talked about it and I asked him to give me an estimate.  A few days later I got an estimate so reasonable I said 'let's do it'.  A little more that a week later, they came out, did the whole job in about 5 hours and right at the estimated cost.

I can't recommend Mac's plumbing highly enough.

David from Mac's Plumbing come by today to check on what we thought was a stuck drain for a new washing machine.  He took a quick look, gave us his opinion and estimate, and began to work on clearing the drain.  Long story made short, after a minute or two he called me in the room, showing that it was perfectly operational and not clogged like we originally thought.
This level of integrity and professionalism has ensured we will always use him for our future plumbing needs and will also recommend him to our friends.

I have used Mac's Plumbing twice in the past 3 months, and both times I received excellent, professional service at a reasonable price. Mike was our plumber both times, and was very knowledgeable and fixed our problems quickly and thoroughly. Today I had a time-sensitive problem and he showed up within 20-30 minutes of my call for help. With this level of service and professionalism I will use Mac's for all of my plumbing needs.

Waited a week for a bid and when I received it, it avoided any liability for the roof penetration.  When I emailed back to have that corrected, I was informed that they got another job last night and no longer could fit me in the schedule...  This was a $3,500 job, not a drain clear.  Very unprofessional, I would not recommend.

I would recommend this company. I had a moaning pipe when flushing the toilet and when I called them, they came out the next day. The service was quick and price was reasonable. I would use this company again.

David and his crew were amazing! I would definitely recommend his services to any Ohana looking for a trustworthy, professional and efficient plumber. With the holidays breathing down my neck and guests coming, my wife and I are tackling dreaded house projects.

The biggest stressor was our guest bathroom which has not had working hot water since the last visitors came two years ago.

Just to make things more stressful, the toilet has been leaking.

I busted out my Yelp app and started going down the list.

The first 5 star review guy never returned my calls. I even waited a week for a response *crickets*

Then I called the number two guy on the list..Mac's plumbing. Called them on Wednesday, got an answer, and a plumber was here on Thursday.

They sent Michael. He quickly assessed the problem on both the hot water and the leaky toilet.

He had to run to the hardware store to get some more parts and was back in a jiffy.

Once he got back clink! clink! clink! pau!

The total bill was very reasonable in my opinion. I have tried doing plumbing on my own one time and realized quickly that I should leave some things to the experts.

Now my hot water is hotting and my toilet is not-a-leaking.

Only now if I can find a good psychiatrist on yelp to help me cope with the holiday guests!

This company gets five stars all around. David and his crew are polite, efficient, and they know what they are doing.  They quickly took care of a broken pipe in our front yard professionally and quickly.  Later that same day, a chance conversation with David  about some warm tiles on the kitchen floor quickly became a disaster averted.  There was a hot water leak under our floor and we didn't know it. (The warm spot had been getting bigger over three months). This could have been a nightmare repair job, but David knew that a reroute of the hot water pipes would save us money and time.  We are grateful and relieved that we found Mac's Plumbing on yelp. Dave and Mike were very helpful.

We had some scheduling issues otherwise I would have given them five stars.  The work they did to set up for our bathroom re-model, and some work in my workshop, was all excellent work.  The plumber was very proficient, explained exactly what he was doing, and everything was cleaned up thoroughly before he left.  They will be my first call when I need a plumber in the future.

I recently needed to have a garbage disposal installed. When I call Mac's Plumbing, Denise clearly explained to me the cost and when Dave could come install my disposal. A day later Denice called me to let me know Dave a job that may take more time and asked me it that would fit into my schedule. This was the first time I had someone call the day before my appointment to let me know the time of my appointment was changed.

The day of the installation, Denice called me again to confirm with me the new time.  I appreciate her diligence and Dave's work was top notch.

The Yelp reviews were definitely accurate and played a part in my calling Mac's Plumbing. I will certainly them again.

Mac's Plumbing installed a sub-meter for us so that we could save money on our water bill. This way we don't have to pay Hawaii sewer fees on our irrigation water.  Mac's Plumbing went out of their way to get all the paper work signed for us (several permit versions required by the City). Mac showed up on schedule, did a great job with the installation and was really nice!
I've tried several other local plumbing companies and I have to say, Mac's is by far the best!

I appreciated the fast response time and reasonable rate. They diagnosed the problem and completed the work in about 2 hours even though my toilet had been incorrectly installed by the builder. Responsive, very attuned to listening to the problem, did a professional job, and was reasonably priced!  I called Dave at about 9AM and left a message, he called me back in 30 mins, we set a time for 1230, and Mike, his employee, showed up at 1230.  The job was small (a leaking refrigerator line for ice).  Mike surveyed the problem, fixed it in about a 1.5 hours (had to go get the right size copper tubing at the hardware store), and upon leaving, guaranteed the work and to call if there were any issues.  That job would have taken me the entire weekend to do , and it would probably still be leaking.

This is a great company, run by a professional with employees that are care.  I'm proud they are doing business in my town....a great asset to customers and the community.

My toilet had overflowed and then, the water from our washing machine drained into my bathtub.  My bathroom was a horror!  I went to yelp and found Mac's. I left a message and received a call back in 15 minutes.  I was advised that someone could be here within 15-20 minutes.  Plumber Mike showed up quickly, reviewed the situation and determined that he was going to use the snake tool.  He cleared the clog and saved the day.  What I especially liked about Mike was that he wanted me to test all the water outlets throughout the entire home to be sure that nothing was pushed into a different pipe.  He also said that he wouldn't want to leave until he knew that the entire home was clear.  I also learned that flushable wipes are absolutely not flushable as they're fibrous, and doesn't decompose or break up. The only thing that should go into a toilet is toilet paper.  Mike was friendly, proficient, professional and knowledgeable!  I am so relieved!  I also added Mac's to my contacts, so I know who to call the next time we experience a plumbing issue.  Thank you Mike and Mac's plumbing for a job well done.  I will refer you to all of my friends.

I am dealing with David regarding a mistake one of their plumbers made at my home.  I hope it can be resolved equitably...will update as soon as possible.   When resolved I hope to be able to rate them again.

I contacted Denise and Dave at Mac's Plumbing after reading reviews for them here on Yelp. Denise got back to me within about 5 minutes of me trying to contact them and leaving a message. She arranged for Dave to come over the following day to work on a drain I thought was clogged or blocked in my tenants house.
Turns out the drain wasn't clogged afterall, so he didn't charge us (awesome).
I was very impressed by his honesty and integrity. So many cowboys would have just tried to make a quick buck, and charge an arm and a leg for not doing any work.
I will always come to Dave and Mac's plumbing for any future work I need, and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a plumber.

Mac came out and installed my new faucet, did a great job and the price was very reasonable.
I highly reccomend this company.

Don't use him for installing a water sub meter. He might be a great plumber, but wants to price gouge you for install. For a $150 water meter and a $50 backflow preventer the bill on phone was $5000 then lowered to $1500-2000  not including all  parts when I told him I was an engineer.

Then he said I would have to run and draw up the permits he would sign and the city would inspect to elude that a couple visits added cost ( sounds fair: pay for extra time, but not 2k-5k) for yes a simple install of a meter and back flow preventer

He stated Hawai'i wants to make it difficult to save money for Submeter charge, but that does not mean he has to price gouge (even thou if there is some of that going on)

How about just charging me time, labor, and parts. Honest days work for honest day pay.
