They were fast! Spot on with their service. Thoroughly explained what was going on and did efficient work! Took credit card, check, or cash too as an option! Email invoices but texted with updates when the service was enroute to when it completed! Would recommend them for sure!!
Called Hawaii Drain Cleaning Squad late one night when no other company answered. They arrived within an hour, and gave me options to address my clog. After going through the options, my family and I decided to snake the drain to get us up and running for the night. After they cleared the blockage, they did a courtesy camera inspection to see what caused the clog and found heavy rust and grease build up. We ended up removing all the rust and grease build up using professional industry machines. All I can say is much MAHALOS to all the hard working people you have and if we ever need any plumbing assistance for anything, I will be calling Hawaii Drain Cleaning Squad. Highly recommended.

Great customer service. First spoke with Jack this morning and they were out here by 1:30. Took a look around and gave the quote. They were quick and got it taken care of. Jack even gave some very useful tips on what and what not to use to deal with a clogged drain. My bathtub faucet was leaking for at least 2 weeks and I finally was able to get it fixed today! I was able to schedule an appt within 24 hours of calling! They were courteous, respectful, and efficient in their work. The job took only half an hour and the price was very reasonable. I will go back to them for any other plumbing questions or concerns!
When it rains it pours. As some of you who follow my reviews, you can see that a lot of my reviews have been on contracting businesses. Lots of things to fix in my house and I don't trust my YouTube DIY skills at all. I highly recommend all of you to not trust yours either and just call a professional.
Called this company because I needed to change my basin faucet. I sent out quotes on yelp and this company was by far the most reasonable in price and also quick to respond. Booking everything was really easy. They send you an estimate by email and brief description of job. Then on the day of, they send you a text to let you know they're coming and haven't forgot about you. Once here, everything went very smooth with no problems. They also gave me advice on how to avoid plumbing disasters in the future.
For me I had no issues with anything from the start till the end so I would definitely use them again.

I have a rental property on the other side of the island. Clogged tub. I called after business hours and still had my call returned within 30 minutes which is important cause my tenants need to know a solution is on the way. I was given a straightforward price right away which was about half of what the last plumber quoted. Service was scheduled and completed in less than 48 hours. After service I was given a detailed report on why the drain was clogged. All in all pretty flawless experience. Would definitely use again and recommend To others!
At 1st Jack was prompt and did the job. TheN he kept no show no call so I got up set. I called some of the other people that bid on my job and they critiqued the job that he did so I got rid of him. If he didn't refund some of the money it would be negative feedback. Bye gones...
I've found a family Plummer. I've never had plumbing problems in my home. After having one Plummer and the septic tank drained, the problem still persisted. Jack and his team came in and found the problem and worked with me over the next 3 days. He had a busy schedule but was able to work me in and resolved the problem. Not only did he educate me on my sewage system on my property, but I've also booked him for work on one of my other properties. Very reasonable pricing, and yet you can't put a price on peace of mind. I knew nothing about the layout of my property sewage system, but Jack and the team showed more about the property than I ever knew. You're in great hands with this team.

They brought their own entrance rug for their shoes. Wore company uniforms and had masks on. Looked clean and ready to work. They assessed the problem and determined that it didn't need fixing yet. Explained why the problem seemed to have resolved itself- for the moment, but will provide me with estimate for possible future work. Did not charge us for the visit. But left a very good impression. Will definitely consider them for future repairs. Also learned I should call professional plumbers for plumbing work.
Honest work - Jack came over to inspect my leaking faucet and then proceeded to call around for the replacement part. Jack found it locally, but notified me that the price the local distributors were asking wasn't in line with expectations and recommended I ordered online instead as it would be much cheaper ($200 locally vs $55 online). Instead of performing a quick job, Jack had the customers best interest in mind. I will use Jack and his team going forward, thanks again!

They could not change my sink YET but the customer service has already been excellent. Situations dealing with plumbing can be very stressful and they already have made it less stressful for me. The communication is excellent. Everything is explained well. They came to my house to change the sink & couldn't because I needed to shut down the water in our complex. So they said they would talk to my property manager for me
and get that set up. Which is one less thing I have to worry about, which is great. Great service already.
This morning I was calling around for some help with plumbing for our kitchen. I like to check locally first. Came across a couple but no answer. It said they open 24 hours but no answer, left message, called back again, still nothing.
Called Hawaii Drain Cleaning Squad and Jack Perry picked up. He answered, ask me what I needed help with and confirmed a time for today. I gave him a quick assessment and it was on. Just got home from dialysis about a half hour he texted, said he was enroute. Little after 11am he showed up with his crew and physically assessed the work. Gave me a quick run down and he was on his way. 15-20 minutes later it was done. Replaced new pipes under the sink, checked for leaks, and that's it! Work Done.

This company is amazing. I was distressed because my water heater had sprung a big leak and spraying a lot of water in the garage. Jack came over within 15 minutes to fix the problem. I had a main line back up that started a day ago. Thought that i would try to troubleshoot it myself but that didn't work out. Mind you, i had been communicating with Jack from last night regarding quote and availability. I was already onboard and then my phone died. I loved the fact that they were willing to come out and fix my problem immediately and that they were conveniently located on Waianae side. I read some reviews that mentioned not many plumbers are willing to come this side and if they did, prices would be $$$.
Contacted Jack first thing this morning and he came out within 30mins. This company really stands by what they advertise on their site. Here's why i say 5
Affordable
Jack provided me with a quote immediately with the breakdown of costs. On top of that, when he was onsite, he even gave me prices for other services up front. My initial quote was reasonable but because he couldn't fully remove the clog, he charged me less. He really didn't have to looking at how much work he put in, but its clear that he's an honest businessman and very much appreciated.
Clean
Him and his associate were very clean from the moment they entered my home, during their work, up until exiting my home. Shoe booties on, gloves, towel cloths handy... very sanitary.
Professional
Jack responded immediately to my request, knowing that I really needed to be serviced asap. I didn't have to wait for hours from the time i requested for them to come out.

First impressions are the best. Entered my home with shoe coverings, laid out a sheet to protect my flooring and whatever may come out from the pipes. He was prepared. Hawaii Drain Cleaning Squad is beyond great. They responded to my quote request on Yelp at 11:00pm, I was shocked. Jack came out the next day, right on time. My drain was a bit challenging, Jack worked so hard to get it unclogged. After about an hour he finally got it unclogged. He was so friendly and positive the entire time. I found Hawai'i Drain Cleaning Squad using Thumbtack (the Uber app of home improvement services,) after needing a plumber to fix our leaking bathroom sink pipes.
Jack, the owner or HDCS, immediately responded within 10-15 minutes of my request, and came over the same day to check out the leaking pipe and give a cost estimate.
After going to 3-4 plumbing stores and discovering that our type of pipe did not exist in Oahu, Jack rush ordered the pipe replacement parts from the mainland. One of his technicians Christian came by within 48 hours after the rush order was made to fix our leaking sink.
I found Jack and Christian extremely professional, upfront communicators, and prompt. They even roll out a red carpet before entering your house, and put on booties on their shoes which is a nice touch of customer service.
My bathroom sink is no longer leaking because HDCS ordered a sturdy replacement. The total cost for service and the pipe replacement was completely reasonable, given how quickly it was fixed.
I highly recommend HDCS for your plumbing needs and will definitely keep HDCS in mind when we have plumbing needs in the future.

It took a while for me to write this review but wanted to share a positive experience. Back in January, my solar water heater was not providing enough hot water during the days where we had no sun out. Jack responded quickly and asked if I could troubleshoot with him over the phone to save me the time and money. He took the time to provide me with the steps on how to reset my water heater and see if that worked. It was not until this past week where we had rain all week that I got to test it out. It worked! Definitely will be in touch in the future if I need my solar water heater fixed.
My water heater was 20 yrs old, and I'm certain it was costing me plenny $$ each month, so it was time for an upgrade. Jack was really helpful and patient throughout this process, answering all my questions in as much detail as I asked for. (My process involves a lot of research, a lot of questions, a lot of time before I make a move) He gave pros and cons to my options, but let me choose what I wanted at the end - a 50 gal hybrid water heater. He was able to schedule an install in a matter of days and showed up when he said he would. He and John were nice and very professional - even my dog didn't bark at them for too long. LOL. He has a 2 year warranty, but I really hope I never have to use it. Oh, and he hauled away the old heater too. All for one very reasonable fee.
In conclusion, loved how hard he worked before I committed, loved how hard he worked after I committed, love how hard he has worked even after he left (I had a small issue with getting my energy rebate). I will definitely call him again for future plumbing jobs!

Jack came by a few months ago to figure out why our hot water heater wasn't working.
He explained to me everything that was happening, and didn't over explain if I clearly didn't care.
He knew SO SO much about the systems, and ever since he came and fixed it (didnt even have to replace much) our water heats so much faster saving us a ton on water.
It took an extra day because of the supply chain making trouble getting a part and he offered a personal day water heater to make up so my family didn't have to go without hot water.
Jack and his team were professional, on time, and completed the job as expected. They arrived when they said they would, assessed the situation, provided a review and breakdown of what they would do. And then went to work. They completed the job quickly and all is looking and working well. Mahalo Jack and team.
Jack fixed our kitchen pipes in December 2019. I like him. This is his own business so he's invested in its success and doing good work. He's efficient, communicated clearly about what was needed and why, and charged fairly. I have more work I plan to use his company for in the coming months.
He also educated me about a better way shut-off valves should be installed for a dishwasher installation and the drainage function of an air-gap for the dishwasher. Mine didn't have one.

Not only did they never show up for the confirmed appointment time (which I blocked my whole day off for), they then kept pushing back days for a whole week until never getting back to me & ignoring me. I never complain because I know things are tough, especially during a pandemic, but to not at the very least communicate after you missed your schedule appointment, is just terrible business. Unfortunately, I have to change my review. This company was initially reliable but has not responded to my requests for an annual home inspection and water heater flush with anode rod check, which I purchased in Jan/Feb 2020 as part of a 5 year loyalty membership. Checks were completed in 2021 and 2022. Initial inquiry for this year was on June 16, 2023 via e-mail. Follow-up via text on June 22 and via e-mail/voicemail on June 30. Finally, on July 7 via e-mail, I inquired about the company's ability to uphold this membership that they offered to me but have received zero responses. I ended up filing a complaint with the BBB on July 16, 2023 and they typically give the company 14 days to respond. It's coming up to the end of that timeframe and there's still zero response from the company. I also filed a complaint with RICO on July 27. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed. Lesson learned for me and proceed with caution for those who took the time to read this updated review.
*Update* As of August 10, 2023, the company has not responded to my complaint filed with the BBB.

Jack and his team were great with communicating with us since day 1. We needed an emergency job done and they were able to do a consultation and complete the job in a timely manner. There was a hiccup on the originally scheduled day of repair due to an emergency but had been in communication with us as soon as they knew they would be pushing the timeline back. They were very knowledgeable of what the problem was and explained the differences with the old components of our shower and the new components they were installing. They answered all of our questions and explained everything to us in detail.
The only reason for subtracting a Star was because there was debris left in the closet from where they cut into our wall to create a panel that we had to vacuum it ourselves. Also we were supposed to be sent a quote regarding installment of a sink but never received it. I'm assuming it was forgotten about. Other than that, we would definitely do business with them again.
I wish I could give the company better words. Hawaii Drain Cleaning Squad came out for a sewer video inspection. I paid immediately. The USB they used was corrupted, and they admitted I was not the first to receive a faulty USB Drive. They refused to pickup or respond over a period of two weeks after multiple attempts to call, text, and phone. We had no pictures of video proof of the inspection, which was part of the contract. We scheduled a redo, but they not only failed to show, but had not sent any reason, apology, or followup. Unfortunately, my experience was lacking in professionalism. Due to this experience, I cannot trust or recommend this company. I had to hire someone else to complete the job.
They are a very friendly company with great employees. And are also quick to respond if you ever have a problem with your plumbing at any time and get the job done effectively.
I was initially impressed with Hawaii Drain Cleanjng Squad; Jack seemed very knowledgeable and confident in his ability to fix the sewage smell coming from my bathtub drain. He even came out once, scoped the drain and had a plan to fix the issue. From then on, however, HDCS became flakey. They were waiting for a good-weather day since they'd be scoping from a roof vent. Jack kept rescheduling me on marginal weather days, and on one good weather day simply didn't show up. My wife had rearraanged her work schedule to be home for the job, and Jack didn't text that he wouldn't be coming until well after his scheduled arrival time. The final time he rescheduled us, he again simply didn't show up, with no call or text since. Multiple phone calls and texts have gone unanswered, he seems to have ghosted my job.
Think twice before you put your faith in HDCS!
Jack was a professional who took time to try to understand and guide me through a sudden leak in my water heater that I discovered after coming home from a work trip. What is most important is that Jack created a sense of trust by not only providing flare rate fees but by educating myself about a subject I honestly am not expert at. I have definitely found my family plumber in Hawaii
I am sorry about my previous review as it was correct at the time but is in no way correct now. Maybe I just got them at a bad time.
I requested this company to do another Job in late OCT 2020 and it is still not completed.
Very poor communications and always blaming someone else. From his phone dying because he was at the hospital all night to dropping his phone in the toilet, to a counter guy ordering the wrong part. I do understand things happening but the communications have been very poor.
After they finally went out this to the home this is the comment I received in December. The shower valve one we had to special order the part. The counter guy ordered the wrong part so I had to go in to reorder it. We're just waiting for it to come into Oahu. They said will take probably 2-3 weeks. Soon as it comes in, we'll be right over to replace it. Unfortunately, it's a super old valve and cartridge and not something you can just pick up locally at a store or supply house. UPDATE as of 18 DEC 2020 from Jack.
OK I get it and this could happen. I sent a text to get an update on 18 Jan 2021, 30 days later, and they did not reply. Then I sent a text and tried to call on 27 JAN 2021 for an update. No response.
The work finally got scheduled for 10 FEB 2021 and the vendor was a no show and did not call. This left the tenant home all day from work without as much as I'm sorry or a call or a text. I sent a text to talk to owner of company on 11 FEB and he states he was out of town for 7 days and doesn't yet know why it was not done. Mind you I've been talking to the same guy this entire time. On 12 and 13 FEB I have left voice messages and texts to get an update and I get no response, no text, no voice messages, nothing. At this point I have wasted almost 4 months and the job is still not done.
I am beyond frustrated and have been pretty understanding but at some point, I have think they don't have any intention of doing this job.
If you prove to me that I am wrong I will happily take down the review and write an apology, but as a property manager I keep notes on any conversation that takes place and these are my notes.
I'm glad others have not had this issue with your company. My first experiences were great and I gave them 5 stars. Lesson learned is never to rate a company on one experience.

when a business states FREE quotes, this is one of the few who are true ! super quick response, friendly and patient!! Jack took time out to hear my story and send pictures to figure out what i was looking at and options available. i know most businesses like this are super busy and time is valuable, but he made time and gave me upfront details which almost never a company likes to do cause then all the works done tryna look up things. people who give freely are truly the best ! big heart i say especially now during these hard times!!! mahalo Jack!!

I had a problem with my toilet the past few months and needed it checked out. HDCS came to the job and solved my toilet completely. There was so much wrong with my toilet that he recommended to get a new one altogether, because it would be cheaper in the end, and I totally agreed. Very professional and friendly, as well as knowledgeable on his work. I also had a few other requests while he was there, and he gladly helped. Definitely will be hiring them again next week for another job. 100% recommended them!
Jack has a very comfortable manner. Arrived as scheduled and quickly found the problem we were having with our solar water heater. I thought the cost to repair was very reasonable. I will call HDCS with our next plumbing problem.
I would not recommend this company for your plumbing project. I scheduled an appointment with Jack last Friday and he never showed up. He apologized as he forgot about the appointment, so we rescheduled to Monday. Again he never showed up or replied to my text. I actually took a day off from work to take care of my plumbing issue, so it was a real inconvenience.

Jack and his crew were very professional. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They fixed my plumbing issue right away. Highly recommended. Should any plumbing issue(s) arise, I'll be sure to use their service.
Jack was great about responding to my issue with my water valves connecting to my washer. He made a house call to check out the situation and give me a quote. The fix was going to require a water shut down in the stack of my building so we scheduled for a different date. Jack finished the job faster than expected and he was nice enough to fix another minor issue with my toilet running that a previous hired handyman had messed up and ghosted me on returning to fix the issue himself. Jack was extremely professional and got the job done for a really good price. I recommend him for anyone who needs a plumber and will definitely use him for future jobs if needed.
They responded to me immediately, were at my house within 45 minutes, and took care of the problem right away. From the time I contacted them to the time they finished was at most 2 1/2 hours. The workers are also very easy to work with and talk to, which I love. I'll definitely be calling them again should another issue come up.
I bought a home with a unique water heater set up and was in need of a new heater and the location of the heater moved within my home. I had cast a net for quotes here on Yelp as I did not want to sit around making numerous telephone calls. Jack, with Hawaii Drain Cleaning Squad was the only company who was able to provide me a quote via this channel and text messaging. The other quote I had received was over three times what I paid with HDCS. Needless to say I was happy to support HDCS. Jack arrived within the time block specified, was curious, professional and very transparent in his communication.
As a result I have asked HDCS to do additional water heater work.
I highly recommend HDCS for plumbing needs.

They quickly assessed the leak and informed me I needed to replace faucet. The hoses were part of the original faucet set and not replaceable. Instead of me going out to find a new faucet for the above counter basin, they offered to find a new faucet and return to install. Gave me a quote and then left. Came back with perfectly matching new faucet and installed for me. Although it was not cheap, it was worth the cost.
Would use them again.
Very pleased with their work. They were very neat and cleaned up after they were done. Even laid a red carpet outside the door. Classy move.

Jack was easy to work with and even helped adjust my appointment time on a moments notice. He arrived in a timely manner, made the fix for us, cleaned up, and all at a reasonable rate! Very professional. If I have any other plumbing issues, I'll be calling Jack.
I was shopping around for plumbers . This company was super helpful and the response was always fast . They couldn't come the day I had problems because they were booked . Today they came jack and matt. And jacks is really awesome and explaining what was done what needs to be done. They cleared what they could and he even gave me a discount on his price : he also cleaned up very well and gave me free estimate on the jetting that needs to be done at the bathroom toilet. I would recommend them for plumbing needs . Awesome job !
