The worst experience ever. I had leak in my bathroom sink faucet. What should have been a simple swap to new faucet is now a nightmare. When removing the old faucet, the entire sink fell out, supposedly caused by rusty clamps that could not be reused. He left to buy a sink and returned with one that didn't fit. He would have to drill into a chunk of counter. We rescheduled. I received a call, he was booked, would be a later appointment. Okay, fine. Two new guys show up, take some measurements and tell me they have the wrong drill but not to worry, they have a great counter guy who can do it and a the co-owner can even give me an estimate on a full bathroom upgrade if I wanted. They rushed out to another appointment, leaving both sinks still on my dining room floor and none in the bathroom.
I waited for the promised call to assure me they would resolve the problem. A clear sign when they know they've screwed up is when they don't call to re-schedule and make no attempt to contact me to right their wrong. I have spent nearly $600 so far. I understand things can go wrong; I don't understand blowing me off when it does.
I used them once before in an emergency - the only ones who answered the phone. It took them three different appointments for someone to bring the right equipment, a larger snake. Different guys showed up only to tell me they didn't have the right equipment but as it was eventually fixed and not too expensive I felt I owed them another chance. I should have remembered the two visits with the wrong equipment. Diamond Head Plumbing has lost my confidence that they care enough about their reputation to fix the problem they created.
Maybe that's why they make commercials - their word of mouth doesn't bring much business.
It is apparent that no amount of negative reviews will change this companies poor customer service. We ordered a shower door in July and paid in full $2100 (big mistake). First attempt to install had wrong measurements. Okay stuff happens. We were told new parts were ordered. We called back in NOVEMBER and were told parts just came in and they could install in 3 days. 5 minutes before scheduled time to install we got a call that they did not have the parts sorry that I took off work to meet the installer but they would call when the parts came in. Rescheduled and installer showed up on time but with the wrong parts. Sorry that I took off work again but the installer said he could get the parts as the were off the shelf and come back the next day.installer came back and despite breaking the old door into a million pieces got the shower door installed. The installer Carl ( subcontractor) was continually apologizing ( he was very good). Yet to hear from owner but he got paid in full 4 months ago.
Diamond Head Plumbing plumber has visited us over a week agao and inspected our house and hasn't still heard a word about the estimate. I do not appreciate it at all.

I live in a old walk up build in the 70's. DHP came to give me an estimate to renovate the bathroom. I wanted to replace the tub with a glass block shower. The guy shows up with a bad attitude like he doesn't even want to give me an estimate. First thing he says is that I can't install a shower as the drain comes out of the wall not the floor and he'd need to pour a 4 slab for the p-trap and another 4 lip for the water. He quotes me 15K for the entire bathroom and seventy five hundred just to re-tile around the tub and install a new tub.
I ended up renovating through another company. The drain already has a P-trap and comes out of the floor. I now have a glass block shower and it cost me 5K total.
DON'T USE THESE GUYS!!!

Roto Rooter failed to properly snake my toilet, and wanted 800.00 to replace it. I called Diamond Head Plumbing after 5pm on Friday night, and was flushing by 8! Mahalo!
If the rating was for telephone attitude and technical competence only, I would give them 4 stars. The reason for the 1 star is that they charge for their services on a time and material basis, therefore, have no incentive to really think smart when faced with a problem. (Unlike our current plumber who is smart, nice, and who is a cost effective problem solver.)
The other reason for the 1 star is that they sold me a kitchen faucet for $250!!! Shocking, because when I spoke with their office and said I wanted DH Plumbing to provide a kitchen faucet, and I wanted something priced in the mid range because I envision renovating the kitchen in a couple of years. The plumber said the $250 faucet is top of the line and I would love it. Well, less than 1 year later - guess what? There was sediment in the line so that the water flow was getting slower and slower. We called our current smart plumber and voila - we have fantastic flow in the kitchen. So, to tally the cost thus far $250 for the faucet, $60 for the first install and now $60 for the unclogging = $370. I agree with my husband, the next time it clogs; it is being replaced by another faucet that does not have this problem.
If you want a smart, nice and cost effective problem solving plumber - call Masuda Plumbing @ 988-4704.
I had an appointment set up, a woman from DHP called me to confirm it. The rudest person I have ever dealt with! I ended up canceling the service (a $1000 to change a toilet). I was willing to pay due to the urgency, but this person I spoke with was not a nice person! This call was at about 3pm 10/20/21. They charge Brain Surgeon rates. Shame on you guys!
I called Diamond Head Plumbing and spoke to Mariella for a estimate. Joel arrived on time and gave a fair estimate. Would define use them again for our plumbing needs and for future remodeling. Thank you to everyone involved for making it an easy and seamless experience.
WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET!!!!! YES! I SAID IT!!!!!!!!
This company has no customer relations and all they do is make your problem worse!
To start off, my family had trouble with their washer and dryer so they called these knuckleheads over to snake some clogs in the drain, FINE! that was all good until they had to place the washer/ dryer in its original space they left with unhooking the vent from the dryer to the wall ( i understand it sounds funny but we live in a condo and need some kind of dolly or else we cant get behind the system). after a bit my family started noticing hot air floating around the apt. when the dryer is on so they called d.h. plumbing and asked if they can fix the vent and put it back where it was originally. They send this dude name Payton over the house and gave us the shittiest attitude and also left his fucking shoes on in my house when i asked him kindly to take them off. He looked and me and shook his head. then after 10 min of doing work he said that he will be back to get tools from his truck downstairs and left. so i called the company and talked to Mariola who is the phone operator and immediately assumed i was part of THAT FAMILY. she was inconsiderate, disrespectful, no class, and made it sound like it was my families fault for this problem. i kindly asked for their bosses name so i can talk to him or her and make a formal complaint. never did she wanted to give any other information to me and continued to go on with her nasty attitude. I hope everyone never call these unprofessional company to help fix your stuff. I'd rather be happier watching YouTube and do this myself.
DO NOT GO WITH DIAMOND HEAD PLUMBING!!!!!!! AND IF YOU SEE DIAMOND HEAD, DON'T EVER CALL THEM!
We had a problem with an upstairs toilet improperly installed years ago which caused leakage in the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom below. We called and got an estimate and it included a new toilet, repairing drywall ceiling downstairs and repainting, retiling the upstairs bathroom floor. We expected 2 or 3 guys since it was not just plumbing but drywall and tile but only one worker showed up.
Chris was amazing. He replaced the toilet, installed it properly (improper install caused all the problems), tiled the floor, did the drywall patch and repainted. Not only was he skilled in everything, he was polite, punctual, and cleaned up every day.
When preparing to post I was surprised at some of the low and negative reviews since my reviews are more in line with other Yelpers. I think our experience was because we were lucky to get Chris and we will ask for him when we need more plumbing in the future. Diamond Head Plumbing is lucky to have him.

lol, I had actually got a bid from these guys because I too can see Diamond head from my home. I see the van from a distance as it comes into my neighborhood and the driver was smoking but of course he puts it out before he comes down my street.
I had an emergency situation where my bathtub was leaking on the second floor and so he had to break through the first floor ceiling. I understand that things are going to get messy a bit but he was totally careless about my interior furnishings and made unnecessary stains on my carpet and walls.
Not very personable and careless attitude gives you a low rating, coupled with the fact that I paid big bucks for his service makes me frustrated just thinking about it.
Extremely expensive and tried to gouge for a service that cost less than $2500 they estimated over 20k. Plus they charge by the hour just to take a look. Rip off
Two service technicians were in our parking garage One was in a stall thankfully not in mine and the other was sitting in his truck parked illegally on his phone in the street blocking the entrance. The one on the phone in the van hit a man in a green Kia not too much damage but not very apologetic. I asked if they were working in our apartment building and the two guys came marching up to me very threatening and asked my name so I asked them their names and they started getting all heated up so then I again asked them if they were working in the building. They started acting scary again so I got in the
elevator with my dogs and swore at them and then the one guy called an asshole. How can people like this do business in Honolulu with bad attitudes like that. These two should be fired!
It wasn't under Adele P, it was my Uncle's house, but you came n looked @ the work n saw for yourself what a shoddy job it was. We waited way too long to complain (almost 3 yrs.) but it is what it is!! We are over it but we will obviously never recommend your company n if the topic ever comes up we will share our experience!! Not a good thing!!
Horrible Horrible do not go to these guys ever. They showed up at my house at 8 am when my appointment was at 11 am then I was in town had to cancel my doctors appointment run back to hawaii kai and the guys just left and never finished the job - they left before I even got there saying they would come back later. I can't believe how horrible they never even called me before or after never again will I use these guys.
Update: I would like to say that your experience with DH plumbing is all dependent on the crew or plumber they dispatch to you. We had an issue with the newly installed tub that stopped draining. The plumber that was dispatched to fix the problem was courteous and educated us on how to avoid the problem in the future.
Such a difference from the renovation crew!
With regard to the contract, is quite general and there can be a lot left to clarify. You did have to approve additional things to be covered within the contract. However when installation of recessed lighting includes painting over the fixture (sloppy painting) and visible dirty handprints on the ceiling. I believe a conversation with management is required.
I really do not recommend this company at all. Like the review by James L. and others are saying, I concur that they were unprofessional, arrogant and rude. Plus they have this outrageous pricing system where the customer pays a flat rate for EACH service such as drain cleaning would be one set charge no matter how small or close to the drain the clog was, and no matter how little time it took, and an additional added flat rate if they use a camera, and then added on top of that, a labor rate per hour. Seemed like triple pricing for such a small job. Then when I questioned how much it was for each of these potential services and how much for the hourly rate, they couldn't answer my question. He went on, either you agree to pay whatever we charge or find another plumber. I said, I do not think we have a meeting of the mind on this job. I am afraid I will be given an enormous bill for a small job. He went on, This is the way we run our business and if you don't agree, don't use us. Seemed to me they were attempting to make a small, maybe 1-2 hour job into a big, double or triple unreasonably priced job. And, most importantly, my attempts to reconcile my fears were met with rudeness, hostility and what seemed to me to be unprofessionalism. Read the reviews; others saying the same thing.
Drivers are dangerous. You don't want these people driving through your neighborhood.

Ridiculous pricing. 7k to install two gas operated dryers and one washer? Never call these people.
7k for 2 days of work hardly seems fair or reasonable. Got two other quotes for free. Both less than 1k. Ridiculous. Never call here people. Save your time. Just call someone else

Although DHP was very busy they were able to accommodate me on my day off. Tyson came to my house on time to assess the situation which was the toilet needed to be replaced. He was able to come back the same day to do the install which i really appreciated. He was really nice and explained how Kholer's cannister flush worked. He cleaned up everything including the gross stuff after removing the old toilet. Thank you especially for that!
I have an old house that had a bunch of plumbing problems. Peyton came out and was terrific! He assessed the problems, and quickly fixed the easy ones.
Then he tackled a serious problem at my main water entrance. He called BWS and got them out at once to repair my meter. He had to dig under a fence footing in pouring rain to relocate my pipe. He had to deal with a neighbor -- who was clearly wrong -- but continued to harass him. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and tactful through it all. By the time he left he was drenched, muddy, and tired, but still had a big smile on his face!

Diamond Head Plumbing took care of a warranty on our water heater that the emergency plumbing refused to honor. They did it right and installed a proper flue which was the source of the original problem.
These guys are honest and will have my business for a long time!

Called Diamond Head Plumbing to unclog shower drain and change wax ring on toilet.
Changed toilet ring OK but could not unclog shower drain after many attempts. Plumber? did not have the right tools so he just said he couldn't do anything about it and left. Last time I ever call this company and I would not recommend them for anything.
While I am sure you have seen their commercials and heard the familiar phrase If you can see Diamond Head, Call us. Well, just for the record, I am in town, but I can't see Diamond head and I still called them....Based on yelp reviews of course...
Well, my kitchen drain started leaking and of course a shower decides to act up at the same time. In desperate need, I log into Yelp and interestingly enough Diamond Head comes up as one of the top options. So I gave them a ring and immediately found a service time that was to my liking (and within the non-expensive rate).
Our technician came over and quickly went to work and started making the repairs and did so very quickly and efficiently. They carry a lot of spare parts with them which made things run even quicker and more smoother in my book.
The prices are a little on the higher side for the hourly and parts, however for the speed and when you are in a bind, you certainly don't mind that. Plus the service was very good and the staff very professional.
Definitely consider using the next time you are in the need of some plumbing repairs!
I've used them for years and continue to do so. Most of the guys they sent over were at least personable. Many have been really cool. Always showed up when they said would and got the job done. OK OK... they aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for.
I used Diamond Head Plumbing to renovate a bathroom about 20 years ago and because it was a relatively painless process I decided to use them again. Called for an estimate to remove my tub, fix a leak and replace it with a shower. I wanted basic; cultured marble (I dislike tile and grout and natural stone because of the maintenance). Joe came the next day to measure and give me options. The estimate arrived the following day. I had expected it to be costly (as this bathroom was old and leaky) but it was reasonable so I signed the contract, paid the bill and the remodel began the following Monday. Glen and his team arrived and after removing the walls discovered a leak coming from my upstairs neighbor. Glen worked with her plumber to show him the problem and Glen ended up not only fixing her leak but renovating her bathroom as well. A few things did not go as well as planned. A regular rain texture glass sliding door was installed rather than the barn style shower door that I had ordered. But, I actually like it and had them leave it in. When I took my first shower, no water came out from the shower head. It was discovered that the valves were not completely turned on behind the wall. Glen returned, cut a hole in the back of the toilet and turned it on. Instead of sealing the hole with drywall, he placed a plastic cover over it that could be removed should problems occur (and it does happen quite a bit as that particular space shares the pipe space with two other units). There was also a problem with the water draining slowly, so I called Diamond Head Plumbing again and they sent a plumber who corrected it easily. He also checked to ensure that everything was A-OK and asked Glen to return to check the shower head again which he did and found no problems. All in all it was a great experience. Although there were problems, Diamond Head Plumbing resolved them promptly and efficiently. In addition, they were extremely clean. They put everything away each day and swept and mopped the floor. I could sleep in the unit during the remodel. Id use Diamond Head Plumbing again! Mahalo to Joe, the DHP office staff and to Glen, a meticulous plumber and really nice guy (my neighbors loved him too).
Called them on President's Day holiday and was surprised that they were open. John came out to my house within an hour to fix my shower faucet handle that was stripped. He was pleasant, courteous and professional. Thoroughly explained the problem then proceeded to get the job done. I feel that his fee was fair and the best part is that he didn't charge me extra due to the holiday. Diamond Head Plumbing will be my first choice to fix my plumbing problems from now on.
I had a great experience with Diamond Head Plumbing. They fixed 2 different problems. One was a corroded gas pipe which had to be dug up and replaced and the other involved replacing plumbing in the shower. Neither job was simple and the shower work involved renovation as well as plumbing. Warren and Jesse worked hard and did a great job. Will definitely use them again.

I had a minor toilet leak in a fitting. The plumber was earnest and I okayed replacing components in the toilet, while he was here, as I was paying for an hour minimum anyway.
The job was done fine, but $250? I started checking the prices for the exact components he used and here are 2 (of 4) examples costs with free shipping from Amazon:
$26 but I was charged $93
$35 but I was charged $117
I was accurate on matching the parts. I don't begrudge them making a profit on inventory, but these parts were items they must use all the time and the markup was greedy, not customer friendly when paying $125 an hour in the first place.
We called them to hook up a bathroom sink...three visits and $600 later, it was hooked up. One person job, they brought in two, one of whom was a trainee. I'm supposed to pay $150/hour for a trainee? I don't think so. Never again.

I will never call these guys again. Guy can out to snake my sewer line he put a snake with no cutter on it and claimed that it was fixed. You can't clean out a drain with a straight piece of wire. It would be like using a wooden tooth pick to scratch your ear.
Then they charged way too much for the little they did.
I had to call another company who put a camera in the line, saw a break and replaced the line.
Don't do it! Made appt for 10-2pm. They were not there by 11 so I called to make sure I had an appt. the dispatch confirmed my appt and service. 155pm I get a call saying they don't have the part and would like to reschedule. Sure... I will call you right back... Hold your breath...

I am shaking as I write this. After speaking with the owner of the company to look for resolution on problems for a plumbing installation, I feel personally threatened. I called to explain that the plumbers had cracked the counter top, cut and left gaping holes in the wall, and had to return twice after the job was complete to fix leaks caused by their installation (they provided all new pipes and it still took 2 additional visits to stop the leaks). I asked for a partial rebate or that they return to fix the holes they cut in my wall (without mentioning that they would be cutting holes). I thought we were having a reasonable discussion, but was treated horribly. The owner first laughed, then said I was a manipulative, terrible person, that he'd never forget me...just wait and see. I don't know if that's a threat or just his usual way of doing business, but I cannot recommend this company to anyone. The experience has been just awful. I don't know what he means by wait and see. My advice is to find a different plumber.

I had a major sewer line blockage that choked water from flowing through the sewer line. All of my toilets and drains where clogged and could not be used until the plumbers from Diamond Head Plumbing worked to locate the source of the problem under the house. The two plumbers and the owner (!) helped to solve this huge plumbing problem, and I would definitely recommend them to folks in a similar situation. Really appreciate their professionalism!
Removal of built in Thermador fridge from small condo kitchen. They arrived on time.
Work was done quickly and efficientlly. It was a tight squeeze on the removal glad it was done professionally. Service was courteous. Will try Diamond Head plumbing again. Mahalo
We had a walkin shower installed. Workers were professional and got the work done on time. Thank you Glenn Chris Ben and Nick!. You guys the best.
This is an update to my previous review: I received a reply from Cooper, President of the company who apologized for not returning my call about the last bill I received. He told me he was writing off the charge which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I had already mailed off my check since I figured they sent the bill, so they must have wanted payment. Luckily when I called them, they said they would void my check and return it to me...which they have. I certainly appreciate their follow up with my issue.
I decided to write a review after using Diamond Head Plumbing several times in the last 12 months. The one word that comes to mind about their service is....uneven. I almost gave them 2 stars but our first time using them was great so I decided to be nice about it They fixed our first problem and even went over and beyond to finish the job. I wish I knew who the plumber was that came out because he was outstanding. However, from there it kind of went downhill. We called them for another problem and over the course of several calls have either had no one show up at their appointed time, no one call us to tell us they are running late or call us back when they said they would. When they did come out after several rescheduled appointments, it took the plumber several attempts to fix our problem (no hot water coming out of shower), and then we noticed another problem immediately after they fixed our shower. The water diverter was popping out of the faucet and falling into the tub when the shower got turned off. I called them back to fix this new problem. It took them about 5 minutes to fix the diverter. It wasn't happening before they came out to fix the hot water, but they were going to charge us $125.00 for fixing it. I called them and explained that this problem occurred only after they came out and touched our shower faucet to fix the hot water problem, and their response was they didn't touch the diverter to fix the hot water so it couldn't have been their fault. Just a bit odd that we didn't have this problem before they touched our shower. The gentleman on the phone was trying to be nice and said he would hold off on charging me and check with the plumber and call me back. I didn't get a call back (again), but about 6 weeks later, I did get a $125.00 bill from them so I guess that's my answer. What do you think, should I have given them 2 stars after all?

We had some serious issues with our very old toilet and shower. My landlord referred us to Diamond Head Plumbing, saying they were both honest and reasonably priced.
Peyton was our plumber today and he was super pleasant and efficient. He made sure everything was perfect before he left. He also explained everything he'd done in detail.
I'm very happy that the repairs have been completed without any problems!

Cooper is the man. I was out there for a vacay and the home i rented needed work and my landlord was no where to be found.
I called diamond head plumbing and he fixed it in no time.
Professional, courteous, and no half assed work.
Way to go. 5 stars in my book
Hired this company for a drain scope inspection. The first appointment we set up was a no-show, then the inspector was several hours late to the second appointment, so we were not able to be present for the scoping because of needing to get back to work, and not being sure of when he would show up.
This first inspection returned a bare-bones report without photos or video of the findings, and contained inaccurate information that did not match our own visual and other inspector reports. The owner finally brought out a third plumber from the same company to re-scope with photos and video, but we still had to chase down the video with more calls and emails. Receptionist was also rude in our calls to address the issues we had. We received zero discounts or apologies for our time waiting and missed work, nor for the attitude of the inspectors. Hope we never have the misfortune of having to interact with this company again, would not recommend to anyone.

Our upstairs shower was leaking down to out downstairs bathroom. Diamond Head Plumbing came to remodel the whole upstairs bathroom but they just painted over the downstairs ceiling. About a little over a year after it started to leak again. we've been caulking around the shower stall. 10 years later, had another contractor open it up the ceiling downstairs and found that diamond head plumbing dumped a can of pipe adhesive, lots of rubbish, lightbulb, etc. in between the two floors, during the remodeling. Instead of removing the water damaged ceiling where it was dripping down to the first floor, they just painted right over it. What ever crew they sent did a horrible job. Stay tuned I will update when we get more info from our new plumber. I would never recommend Diamond Head Plumbing. In fact, when people ask, we tell them what our experience was.
Just finished renovating my Moms bathroom, Joel (Vice-President) Diamond Plumbing & Bath said it was going to take 9 days to complete a full restoration, shower was a Fudo style tub, change sink, toilet, flooring, add recessed lights and change the window!
Job took 15 days to complete, workers took out a large sheet of copper from old shower, Mom told workers we will keep the large sheet of copper, however someone took the sheet of copper and probably sold it for extra cash!
Sad because subcontractors for Diamond Head Plumbing & Bath do come in whenever they feel like working! Some of them are good workers, others just give them a bad name, wouldn't hire these folks again! Lol

To be clear, we haven't had much dealing with them other than a phone call to request a quote on a small bathroom renovation project, but we figured we share our experience regardless.
The person who picked up the phone was nice and polite, but the reason for the 3-stars is due to their policy of not coming out to give estimates past 2pm, and on week days only. Both my wife and I work full-time jobs, and presently can't take days off.
We realize time is money, and that our business isn't necessarily needed for them, but they seem to be the most inflexible regarding estimates out of all the contractors we've worked with previously on another property of ours.
The purpose of this review is to largely inform both the business and prospective customers of our experience.

Worst customer service. Website advertises Free Consultation but over the phone I'm quoted $95/hour + parts when they didn't even look at my toilet. I then ask what is the ball park timeframe for budgetary purposes and Wayne informs me there's no way for him to know that without a technician coming out to look at the toilet. Excuse me, isn't that what a Free Consultation is all about? To get an estimate? So there's no misunderstanding at the end. Customers please beware of this company!
Great Service at a reasonable price. Dispatch was a great help. I recommend to all my friends.
We inherited this repair/problem done by DH plumbing.
this was done 2-5 years ago.
The result is a cracked foundation, exposed sewer pipes and incomplete repairs!
NO NO NO!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Scheduled with Joe for Wednesday, 20 June, but no one showed up. Called and spoke to Wayne and apparently we were not on any schedule. Took a whole day off from work for this too. Very unprofessional. Even our estimate was done by hand on paper and apparently not input into a computer, but they still managed to charge $100 for the estimate done a couple of months ago, so something must have been on computer. Anyway, already scheduled with another plumber so will not be utilizing this company ever again.
We used Diamond Head Plumbing to install a completely new sewer sump system to replace the previous system that was 16 years old. Even though old, the older system had minor issues that was able to be repaired by us. Diamond Head Plumbing installed a new sewer sump system that cost me big bucks to start with. Within the last 14 months, we have had 4 failures of the system. They said that it was our fault that the system/pump failed because of lack of maintenance. We have spent over $2000.00 in additional costs, and have found several overlooked areas of work that Diamond Head should have found on the subsequent calls. We have had nothing but crass responses from their accounting department, as well as supervisors, in addition to the poor workmanship.
Definitely will not be doing any more plumbing business with DHP. If you can see Diamond Head, you will be paying too much!!!!!!!!!! As mentioned by others, they do very poor work. Would never recommend them to anyone that I cared about.

Avoid Diamond Head Plumbing at all costs. Experienced a situation with this unethical and non-responsive owner Bob Hazzard. Diamond Head Plumbing submitted a bid to perform valve work for and was the lowest bid of three companies. On the first day of the job, the company represenative realized that they had severly underbid the job. In good faith, we allowed the company to re-evaluate the job and submit a new number. Well, two visits later, and $10,000 of investigative work performed by Diamond Head Plumbing employees, and still not a single pipe wrench turner. Attempted to negotiate with Hazzard on several occassions and he submitted an invoice detailing the $10,000 of investigative work that should have been done as part of the bid re-evaluation. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Take your money to another reputable plumbing contractor. Take a look at BBB, complaints reported there as well with no resolution.

Ok so who said these guys was good?! I strongly dont think so! They scheduled to fix my shower in my apt monday 8am they didnt show up till 10:00 considering i was late for work they demo the shower they didnt cover anything with plastic cover so dust wont get on anything there was dust everywhere and having severe asthma im concerned! I went in after they had left 2:50 it was so dirty and dusty in my apt i was furious!! Yesterday they didnt show up and im renting an apt so they can take the day of? Hellllo finish the job its costing us alot of money by the day so get with it!and now i will have to hire someone to clean carpets, couch, bed and everything else!
I would NEVER recommend Diamond Head Plumbing to anyone! I remodeled my bathroom 7 years ago. One of the mirrors of the vanity fell off. When I contacted them they told me that they bought the vanity from Home Depot and this model is obsolete, therefore, it could not be repaired, the WHOLE VANITY has to be replaced! The toilets that they installed were running within a month or so. I found out (from one of their own workers) that the hardware for these toilets were also obsolete. I made them change the toilets, which they did. Is this downright underhanded or what?
We had to get to water valves changed to all 3 toilets in our condo a few months back. It was so frustrating because we had to have the water shut off one day and they were a no show. Whoever took the phone call didn't write it down in the service book/calendar. Therefore we had to reschedule it and the work was done.
Word of advise....call them at least the day before to confirm.
BEWARE!!!
Our family has used Diamond Head Plumbing before and we were satisfied with the initial service so when we had problems with a leaky outside faucet we called them again...after this experience you can be sure we won't be using them EVER again!
My husband called Diamond Head Plumbing to take a look at a leak that we had at an outside faucet. The plumber came to take a look at the leak and told us that it would be a $4500 job. We decided to get an another estimate (everything was in the same ballpark), but we decided to go with another plumber. A couple weeks later we got a bill in the mail from Diamond Head Plumbing for $100.
I called the company and asked them if they give free estimates and they said Yes. When I questioned why we were receiving a bill for $100 when their plumber did no work and only gave us an estimate, they told us that we called them for a service call and there is a minimum charge of $95. Had they told my husband it was a $95 charge, he would have passed on the service and asked for an estimate. They slightly decrease the bill, but we still paid for an estimate.
BEWARE!! You may end of paying for and estimate and NO work at all when you call Diamond Head Plumbing!!
I had problems with my water heater, they came out the next day. Repairman fixed the problem and just charged me for the service call, about 55 bux.
I recommend Diamond head Plumbing to everyone!!!!
I had an emergency created by a leaking water line. We called Cooper and he immediately arranged someone to come over the next day. The next day Warren came over and fixed the problem within ten minutes. Thank you Cooper and Warren!

I called Diamond Head Plumbing around the 27th of December 2017 as we had discovered that we had a water leak under our slab for the house. No one answered but I left a message twice in an attempt to reach them. We were losing 6,000 gallons of water every 10 days according to the Board of Water Supply.
Although the leak has been fixed by another company, I was intrigued that I had never received a call back yet. I really don't know about this if you can see Diamond Head call us service as I live across of Diamond Head.
DHP is the best. I thought I could replace a 60 year old valve myself, but I couldn't get the old crusty one free. Cooper and his team not just helped me with my DIY questions but then again when I failed and needed a pro's (Kevin's) help to do the job properly. I highly recommend this very professional local company.
They were one of the only plumbers I could find to do my gas stove conversion. They showed up when they said they would, got the work done, and charged a reasonable rate. I really appreciate their service.

I couldn't be happier with these guys service. While in Hawaii, our timeshare While in one of my multiple visits to Hawaii, our apartment needed to be fixed. We were looking to get different quotes from different vendors but you know how hard is to find a good and reputable company.
My hat is off to Cooper and his team. Will definitely do business again!

Work with Diamond Head Plumbing the past few years and have been very happy with how professional they run their business. Not sure what these are the reviews are about. But this is the first class operation and most people want understand that so there's a problem. I'm taking from me the staff at Diamond Head plumbing know how to know how to handle all situations. Highly recommend them!
Our water heater broke leaving water all over our garage and leaving our home without hot water. After getting the run around from Home Depot and Roto Rooter we gave Diamond Head Plumbing a call.
Peyton of Diamond Head Plumbing came out and provided GREAT service. He was so knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely recommend Diamond Head Plumbing to all our friends. Much Mahalo!!!

My sink pipes literally fell apart last night. My property manager said she couldn't find a plumber until nearly 48 hours later; that was not acceptable to me. I took to Google and Diamond Head Plumbing popped up. I called and the receptionist, Mariella worked me into the schedule an hour later. She was so kind and rearranged their schedule to take me. Peyton was my plumber and he was prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. He explained everything to me and he absolutely gained my trust. I expected the job to take a long time, but he had everything completed (shopping for parts, fixing the problem, testing the pipes) in 2 hours. I was able to make my work appointment without any disruption. I highly recommend DHP to everyone!

Customer Service was Excellent! People in the office were fast, responsive and polite. The guy who showed up (on-time) was professional and courteous. Looked at my leak told me what was wrong and how to fix it and didn't charge for the visit. Great plumbing service.
Diamond Head Plumbing redid my shower area. During the first year, they came back 3 seperate times to fix their sloppy work. Two years later my drywall is rotting do to their sloppy work. Now my warranty expired and they want to charge me $95/hour. We're still paying on our remodeling of the job they did.
They are one of the WORST companies we have dealt with. Think twice before calling them. They do shabby and unreliable work for top dollar. You may think they know what they're doing, but beware buyers!!! Don't be fooled!!! I am going to have to redo the whole bathroom again and only 2 years have passed!!!
They screwed up a job ... put blame on me ... had poor customer service ... would sue them but not worth the hassle ... banned from our high rise now because would not refund anything for messing up my drain and neighbors drain ... use 535 better people better service
Thank you John for being a professional while repairing our main sprinkler main system. Diamond Head Plumbing handled our request immediately and advised us as to the plan for repairs. Would definitely use DH again. Satisfied, indeed!
They did good work but Mariella is one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. They screwed up the sending us billing by having the email wrong email information. claim they sent this to Bill 2 ,, HMM when it bounced back.. MAYBE A QUICK CALL WOULD HELP OR even mailed the bill???? NOTHING.. they finally called and she was SO RUDE rude and I had to actually go down there in person and pay the bill because she threatened to send it to a bill collector on my and my wife for not paying a bill that we never got the bill for. I'm sad to say that I will never use them again because I will never want to support a company that hires such a rude person and blames use for there mistake....
Forget these guys. Over rated and overpriced. At $110/hr it is not unexpected to assume they are trained properly to performed basic tasks. I wish someone would pay $110/hr to futz around in my kitchen. At $110/hr wages you are stating that you are a specialist in your field and that you are somehow deserving of this 10X minimum wage rates. It takes you 1 hour to do a 1 hour job. Simple enough yes? So how do you justify needing three times the amount of time? So at Diamond Head Plumbing a true specialist would need to be paid $330/hr to get a 1 hour job done in required time. This is tantamount to switch and bait practices.... Give one quote over the phone, get in the client's door and rack up them $110/hr's. At least Lawyers had to go Law school to pull off this kind of S#17. Seriously, unless your job is being paid for by insurance stay clear of these guys.
Incompetent, rude, and totally unprofessional. They came out to the house to camera scope the sewer line; they removed the toilet inside the home to do so when they couldn't find a sewer clean out at the back of the house. Since this is unusual to do I let them know it was fine to do so as long as they left the home in the condition it was. Tyler the tech responded to me saying not to worry he's a professional. Once they removed the toilet and tried to secure it back down, they told me that the bolt has broken and its because the flange that was used was an incorrect part for that toilet. They said that they will not turn the water back on for the toilet since it may leak. I asked them to repair what they broke but now say they can't do so because it wasn't to code and they would happily repair it at MY COST. I told Tyler that this was wrong and before they came into the house the toilet worked with out leaking and no broken parts. He started getting excited and started to raise his voice at me, at which point I told him he should not speak to me that way. He told me in a huff that he couldn't do this anymore and to call his office to speak to his boss. I asked him for his boss's name and number and he told me to google them. He finally gave me their main office number and I called to speak to Mariella, her response wasn't better at all; during my conversation with her explaining what had happened, she cut me off and said he already told me mam, and you're not listening to us. The toilet is not to code so we are not able to put it back. I told her that it wasn't broken before they touched it, the toilet has been in use without any issues as it was for many years before they decided to remove it. The line went silent and after several minutes of hello? are you there? can you hear me? I realized that they had hung up on me. I called them back and they had switched their phone lines to say that they were now closed.... who does that? Completely rude and unprofessional. How do they declare that they are professionals and act like that?

We've had DHP come out and replace 2 bathrooms. They conned my parents into getting a bathtub that was not in need of replacement to add to the bill because cutting out a cast iron tub is not cheap or easy.
FIRST OFF: THEY DO NOT HAVE THEIR OWN INSTALLERS!!!! THEY HIRE QUESTIONABLE CONTRACTORS.
Our replaced shower wall is cracked and was hidden by a sneaky putty job. All of the electrical outlets installed were messed up and fixed by a professional electrician we hired to undo what DHP did to mess up the outlets.
Materials are questionable because after 2 years the mirrors are losing the mirror finish turning black. The crack in the wall has gotten bigger, the water flow output for the bathtub had to be replaced along with wiring done by the hired contractors. 1 bathroom's faucet also had to be replaced and all of this was supposed to be new!
All of the materials used seem to be inferior since it deteriorates fairly quickly.
Look for a reputable company that has their own installation staff. Don't rely on el-cheapo companies selling slightly inferior products and then hiring the first contractor they can get their hands on to get it all installed as quickly as possible so they can collect their overpriced overhaul.
Update 10/14
ALL metal safety rails for an elderly user DHP installed in the master bath were rusted because the bolts they used were cheap and the wrong type of metal. Both safety bars were also rusted. Even the safety bar was the wrong (CHEAP) metal. They installed this in a shower and didn't even bother to get the proper material or secure it safely. We've had to hire a reputable company to replace the inferior materials that DHP used. We were also advised by the company that replaced the safety bars that they had not even installed them properly by screwing them into wood and not anchoring the safety rail.
If you can see Diamond Head Plumbing....RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend had his bathroom remodeled and highly recommended Diamond Head Plumbing. He showed me the before and after pictures and his new bathroom looked amazing. He said that DHP did the remodel and they were very professional and quick and he was very happy with their service and quality of their products. I'm so lucky and glad to have gone with his recommendation. I wanted to remove a tub and replace it with a shower. Everyone that I came into contact with from the initial phone call, estimate, to completion made me really like this company. The estimate was very reasonable and fair and all the information I was given very honest and straightforward. They made everything so stress free and easy. 1-Set up an appointment for measurements and estimate 2- Meet at their showroom to decide on material, colors, door design, fixtures ect. 3- Schedule a start date. That's it! Everyone that worked on this project always came on time, worked as clean as possible for the huge job they were doing and were very courteous, friendly and very skilled at what they did. So very happy with our new shower!! Thank You Everyone at Diamond Head Plumbing and Special Thanks to Joel for coordinating and watching over everything. Your company is great and associates truely top notch. I will definately be seeing you again for all of my plumbing and remodeling needs :-)

It's daunting to hire a plumber without really knowing what your bottom line price is going to be. That being said, I was given a pretty good approximation over the phone of the time it would take and the hourly rate. The good: Other plumbers I called were booked and couldn't schedule me in for at least a week or two. One guy told me he needed 6 weeks notice! DHP was willing to come the next day if I needed! The plumbers that came (Kevin and Colton) were friendly and personable. When the resident manager failed to shut off the water at the planned time, they were also very patient and worked around it. The work was well done, professional and neat so I do thank them very much. Okay now for the bad: Whoa, quite a mark up on the parts! A valve at Home Depot that would cost $25 at best was billed $97. A connector was more than twice the price I would have paid at the hardware store too. But I suppose that's the price you pay for convenience. Thankfully, I didn't need too many parts so I'm not going to be too upset about this. If I had the parts available for them to install, I'm sure they would have used them and I wouldn't have gotten charged. Lesson learned. So if you have the time and a little bit of foresight into what might be required, maybe prepare ahead of time. Also, get a total $ estimate if possible instead of just an estimate of the time required, just so it's very clear. Of course, they can't be held to it if there are unforeseen issues I suppose but if everything goes as planned, you can at least know what to expect to pay. I would use DHP again and will recommend them to others. Though I would probably only recommend Kevin and Colton since they are the only ones I have had experience with. I called DHP to let them know that their guys did a good job. The mark up on the parts has nothing to do with them so 5 stars for the labor and 2 stars for the parts...I'll give an overall of 4 stars.

Going to a 4 for DHP. I wanted to schedule a service with them recently and though I did call late in the day around 5:15 pm someone answered and took my info and would call back the next day. I did not get the call and my wife wanted to try elsewhere. Sorry we could not connect. I did like their service the last time.
In a word, horrible. I called DHP to ask about having my kitchen sink recalled. They recommended replacing it, which would be a 6-8 hour job. They showed up and discovered that the new sink didn't fit. Over the course of 3 days they tried 4 sinks, proclaimed that they had never encountered an issue like this (I.e. wrong-sized sink), recommended that I ought to just renovate my entire kitchen because they couldn't find a sink, and then advised me to scrape off all the rust around the sink area (which is why I called them) before they put a new sink on. They finally sent over a competent guy who installed the new sink in 2 hours. When I sent a follow-up email complaining about the experience, they let know they had forgotten to charge me an additional $365. unbelievable.

Had my lawn sprinkler valve replaced. Called in the morning and the technician was here in early afternoon. Chris replaced and tested the new valve within 1 hour. Great service and quality work. Company name is deceiving and they do many other kinds of repair work besides plumbing. Give them a call and you'll be surprised what they can do.
Dishonest pricing. Not recommended. When we questioned the bill the company never returned our calls about the parts used in our repair job. Got the run around for nearly a month. We call plumbers all the time so we know price gouging when we see it. When we mentioned we would take the issue to the Better Business Bureau, they called us back saying they made a big mistake and drastically dropped the price for the parts. We have no tolerance for dishonest companies. Please do not get cheated by these people.

I have never had an issue with this company. Might not be the cheapest, but I was more then happy with their work . I have had DHP come out on several different occasions for several different things. I am sure they will negotiate the price a bit depending on the amount of work. Don''t expect massive discounts, however I believe the company is fair.
Showed up on time and answered all questions posed. Install of the dishwasher was quick and neat. Plumber protected our old wooden floors, leaving them unmarked. Better to go with a company that has some longevity and some cred than picking a name out of the book.
It took Diamond head plumbing more then five months to wakeup and start paying more attention to customer service. If you are now responding to my review, you definitely need help. So let me help you out:
1) Yes I am aware of your 90 day parts and labor warranty.
2) If you look at my invoice, you supplied the wax ring with a 1 year manufacture warranty.
3) Home Depot sells a wax ring with a 5 year manufacture warranty. Maybe you should go with that brand as to a cheaper brand with 1 year manufacture warranty?
4) Since you installed a cheaper brand with a 1 year manufacture warranty I would suggest working something out with the customer to keep them happy. I'm not saying do it for free, but maybe some kind of discount. You do that math [happy customer = return customer = customer refers]. In your case [pissed off customer = loss of sales!] Look at the big picture!
I called Diamond Head plumbing yesterday to schedule an appointment to snake my shower drain. They were able to schedule a plumber for this afternoon. When the plumber was on his way, the office lady called to let me know. The plumber also called to say he was 5 mins away. Upon arrival, the plumber was pleasant and went to work right away. The job took all but 10 mins.
I highly recommend this company for top customer service and great overall experience.

They came in as a sub-contractor to install a new shower. The workers apparently broke the line, flooded bath and adjacent bedroom before cutting off the main. My sister had to clean up the leak, the crew never explained what happened, didn't apologise, and did nothing to help clean up the mess. The crew rushed to close up the hole and left without a word. I called the bath contractor who said they never had a problem, and would inform the plumbing company but never heard back from plumbing company as to what. happened. While it appears the work was completed, the service was a big zero. Stay away from this company.

I sent them photos of a wall mounted toilet which pulled away from the wall. They said it's a one hour charge to repair. The plumber who showed up immediately said he can't do anything. I called their office to ask why they said they could fix it when I showed them photos. They sent the plumber away and told him not to charge me. Later they called and said I should pay even if they gave an incorrect diagnosis over the phone through photos. Plumber was honest but the office people don't accept any blame. Not the way to run a business, especially for a small job. They were only concerned that they sent out someone and didn't get paid regardless if they didn't do anything. They told me not to contact them anymore. Okay! Crazy commercials- must be the same people working in the office.
I was not happy with dimond head plumbing's customer service at all. We discussed repairing the hole with either drywall or a flush mounted access hatch panel (which would be less expensive). I was somewhat concerned about the appearance of the access hatch, but after they sent me a photo of the product and I looked it up online, it seemed like it would look tidy with finished edges and not draw the eye as it was flush mounted. Then they came, did not have the product they had shown me in the correct size (though I had given them the dimensions of the hole ahead of time) so they went ahead and installed a different product that is essentially just a piece of plastic that is not flush with the ceiling with raw drywall edges underneath. I expressed my concerns about its appearance and they blew it off, said they had just shown me an example product and they had installed something equivalent. I told them it may be functionally equivalent (both are access hatches) but aesthetically it certainly isn't. They offered no resolution to this issue--except that they offered to charge me again to come install the product they had initially proposed (no thanks). To top it all off, they quoted $250-400 and charged $550 + tax. I would recommend using a different company.

I have called Diamond Head Plumbing at least once a year--as I am renting in an older house. Every time I call, they come on time and are able to schedule me in within a few days time.
I had to turn off the hot water to my house, as it was running and wouldn't stop. The plumber came in and bought a new part for it. I forgot to ask him to check the cold water faucet, but he was already planning to buy two sets and replace it for me. Unfortunately, there was only one in stock.
He was also kind enough to help me look around for my cold water shut off--just in case a similar incident occurs with the cold water.
The previous time I had a plumber come over, he unclogged my tub, which was the main problem. I didn't ask him to, but he also unclogged my bathroom sink, which was really helpful, as I didn't know how to disengage the sink stopper and pull it out. In both instances, the plumbers go above and beyond what was expected, and I really appreciate that. They could have easily left it and it could have profited from another house call.
I've had only great experiences with Diamond Head Plumbing and will continue to use them.

DO NOT! Under any circumstances use these people! Our shower leaks and the tile job they did was incredibly crappy. We have to have another contractor re-do it. During the project, they wasted so much material and we actually had to buy almost double the material because they kept screwing up the cuts. Do not claim you are a contractor and can do something if you can't!!! We also had to have another plumber come back and re-set the valves behind the wall. What a hot mess! The worst part is they totally just left everything a mess when they left an incomplete job. They said they would come back and help us with the final things but no one came back. Almost $15k job for a super small shower Go ahead and try them... you'll be in the same mess we are in

When I needed a plumber to do a major job I called in several to find out which plumbing company was the best. I had to write this review because I want to alert others of this particular business.
This plumbing company stood out from the rest because they quoted the highest price. Not only was it the highest price it was much higher than the next highest quote.
Of course, I chose not to go with this company because of their exorbitantly high price but I felt that they were slick and I did not feel good about them. If I can't review a company based on their estimate and their customer service, then I guess I have no business writing this review. But, hey, Yelp is about giving other Yelpers a tip on businesses. And that's what I'm doing. Right?

I'm your typical husband. I like doing things around the house, I'll get the job done...it won't be perfect but it'll look good. Electric stuff, flooring, painting...done. Plumbing...not so much. So by the time I realized I needed to turn off the main water supply to our house BEFORE I started to replace our dishwasher, it was too late.
I called Diamond Head Plumbing, mainly because I see their ads and they are about a mile from where I live. They told how much it may cost upfront on the phone. They had guys at my house in 15 minutes and the problem solved in under 5 minutes. And they didn't laugh at me.
I have pride, I like doing things myself, but I'm not ashamed to get help when I need it. And these guys came through in a pinch. I would totally use them again.
Incompetent , arrogant, rude , unprofessional, untrustworthy and expensive($140.00/hr) to fix irrigation system. Technician blamed everyone but himself I've been doing this for 40 yrs
Did not honor warranty on repair done a few weeks prior; charged me again and wanted to do more expensive / unnecessary work which I declined then had the nerve to tell me that he didn't like me going around his back when my plumber repaired it @ a fraction of the cost /time .They want to make big jobs out of little ones. Should have read previous yelp reviews before I used them.
In response to Diamond Head Plumbing's rebuttal:
1) the area that was repaired by Diamond Head Plumbing was work that they completed with new thicker pvc it cracked after 2 uses @ the joint where I can see the new piping sku number. The 2nd crack occurred where a root perforated the piping that they claimed was new . Got photos where they just cut around root and not remove it so further damage can occur at a later date.
2) DHP wants to claim that my plumber who built my house voided the warranty for installing 2 water pressure regulators; the plumber did not touch any irrigation lines because he doesn't need to; everything was above ground and they do not do sprinklers anyway. I contracted DHP to fix my irrigation not touch my plumbing. I ALSO NEVER ASKED FOR A REFUND and paid all my bills because I wasted enough time /frustration with this company.
3)my irrigation is 14 yrs old; if water pressure was an issue it would have burst pipes yrs ago; normal wear and tear is to be expected so stop using water pressure as an excuse.
4) technician could not diagnose the problem and wanted to come back for more additional appts/ expense while being unprofessional.
4) for every critical review on yelp, DHP tries to do damage control and shift the blame to the customer instead of acknowledging their mistakes . This is another example of their arrogance and refusal to admit their mistakes.

I've used them before and was satisfied. But when I called to ask if someone could check a running toilet, the dispatcher was rather rude. He said it would cost $90 an hour minimum and when I asked if they could come right away, he said it would cost $150 an hour because it was after hours. After hours! It was not even 4 p.m. Apparently, after hours is any time after 3 p.m.! This may be the prevailing prices and practice, but OMG.
