Best Businesses in Houston, TX
Mc Nutt is a thoroughly professional business! I live in the country in a home built in 1867 and I have many barns and outbuildings. They have done extensive work on all my property. Steve is especially helpful!!!
I have had much of my house rewired, added exterior lamps, they hung a heavy and elaborate chandelier, and wired up a commercial kitchen in my home.
I have also had them add many outlets to my barns, wire a new kitchen/ bath, hook up heavy duty medical grade equipment and just about anything else you can think of.
I have used McNutt Electric since about 2001 and I have yet to be dissatisfied!!

Yelp's localization does a disservice to contractors since the best of the best probably don't live in your immediate neighborhood.
John Henshaw and his crew qualify as the best of the best. Plus, he's a master electrician. (see tiny.cc/jhenshaw)
Now, let's be honest, We all want the most for our pennies and we may think that hiring a handyman to install simple things like fans make economic sense. Think again. Hiring a licensed electrician is not that much more (Last i checked Henshaw Electric charged $150 per fan; the half-wit handyman I hired through craigslist charged $100 per fan. SInce I had to get Henshaw to re-hang said fan it actually cost me $250), He also grounded all the plugs in & around my computer and installed a surge suppressor in the electric box to safeguard all my stuff.
And yes, a licensed guy will charge a few bucks more but they are worth every penny. I can sleep at night knowing my fan or stove or whatever isn't going to burst into flames.

I've hired Ramon Umana twice since we went into contract for our new home. He's dependable, professional, and courteous. He emails to set up appointments too. Ramon has rewired a number of outlets in my home, installed new lighting, and repaired faulty work done by another electrician. I recommend him!

Double Diamond was a pleasure to deal with. Billie Vaughn does top notch work and I will use him anytime I get the opportunity. Highly recommended.

I called Ray to help me install some coax lines from my attic to my wiring closet in preparation for my cable installation. Ray was very good with communication, he called back when he said he would and also called me 30 minutes before our appointment to confirm. Ray showed up on time and he and his helper were very easy to work with. They also wore shoe coverings when walking on our carpet and cleaned up everything before leaving. Pricing was very fair for the work done. I will use RS Electric for any of my needs in the future and wouldnt hesitate to recommend Ray's company to family and friends.

Very quick turnaround with great quality. Ben was very professional and helpful.
11492 Post Oak Rd, Willis, TX 77318
Quick response. Showed up when they said they would. Found the problem and fixed it. Also, cheaper diagnostic fee than others in the area. Can't ask for much more than that.

Professional and knowledgable electrician, reasonable prices, highly recommend! He replied in a timely manner to my yelp request for a quote, was flexible with appointment set up, confirmed with me the day of appointment - basically great communication throughout. He fixed all my electrical issues, answered all the questions and was very helpful overall. Great professional service. Would definitely hire him again!

I have used Rubio Electric many times and consistently gotten great customer service. It's run very professionally. I always get a quick callback from the owner, Justin, and he always gets over to help quickly. He is polite, follows up to make sure everything is ok, cleans up, sends a clear, professional invoice, and has never failed to do anything but excellent work. I recently needed some work and not only did he promise a start time, I got a confirmation phone call and text confirming it. This time two of his employees came. They confirmed their arrival, were polite, clean, extra helpful, gave me additional clear instructions for what I needed to do, and were very nice and friendly - and professional - to deal with. If only more contractors could do the same. Justin and his team installed Ring devices (some walls had to be opened up), and did other interior work. I will always use and recommend them in the future.

Shane was great and really worked within my budget. I had his guys add some outdoor electrical outlets, fans, and more. They Ensured it was water tight, used good materials and followed code. I appreciate the hard work his guys did, they were here until 8:30PM to ensure they completed the job, and did it right! I'll be using Murphy's electric again.

So we had contacted Three Guys insulation for a estimate to so close cell foam under my home. The owner gave me a price for removing the existing roll insulation of $1,500.00 and 3,800 do close cell 2 spray foam under the house. Well he never came out to do a in person visual instead he used google maps for the sq ft thats how he came to the amount, but I stated are you sure you don't want to come and look at the job in person. The money was agreed to on both sides and date schedule to do the work. I had to reschedule due to being out of town for work. Now he wants to come out and do a walk through which he did today 7/26/21 at 6:40 pm at this point I'm totally confused. Why do a walk though if you have already bid on the job which you agree to???? So now he wants to charge me an additional $500.00 for a 3x3 space. Wasted my time....this is bad business practice. If you give and estimate and both party's agree to the price its a done deal. You can't come back and ask for more money because you under priced the job.

Sam S. was our technician. He was very professional and friendly. He even can prepared with his own shoe covers! He took care of our electrical issues without a hitch---we would definitely use Universal again!

Set yourself on fire before ever doing business with this John Henshaw clown.

Had a GFI outlet than needed replacing for an outdoor fountain. Called Friday morning and an electrician was out around noon- and they called to say he was on the way. Good customer service, polite schedulers and nice/quick service. Only thing may have been the set price. $238 to come out and replace the GFI unit which took all of 10minutes.
26515 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring, TX 77373
Tried to reach the company for 1 week, left numerous messages when their phones were working . Never received a call back.
If they can't even answer their phones, I doubt they can complete a job properly and if you had trouble you would never be able to reach them.
DO NOT USE.

As a resident of the Heights, it's important for me to support local businesses. However, occasionally this backfires and you feel like you were stolen from. This is the case I had with Heights Electric.
I had two light fixtures that were out and either needed to be fixed or replaced. Whatever was cheapest. They decided they needed to be replaced, which was fine, and told me they would have something jn stock or could get something similar at the store and install it. Okay, sounds fair. Yet somehow installing two simple lights equated to 6 billable hours?!?!! How is that possible?? I'll tell you how its possible. Show up in a truck with two people and have one person stand around and watch the other person do all the work and then bill double for it.
Also while you're at it, charge $95 an hour to determine whether a $30 light fixture can be fixed or just replaced. If you can't figure it out in 10 minutes, lets just buy a new one people!
I'll give one hour for a real electrician to take down the light and determine if it can be fixed easily, possibly one more hour to buy 2 new lights just up the street, and perhaps one hour to install both of them. 3 hours MAX.
Never mind the fact they never showed up when they said they would (sometimes late with no phone call, sometimes early saying they're waiting out front).
No thanks. Completely unprofessional. I will not be using them ever again.
