Yelp's localization does a disservice to contractors since the best of the best probably don't live in your immediate neighborhood.

Now, let's be honest, We all want the most for our pennies and we may think that hiring a handyman to install simple things like fans make economic sense.  Think again. Hiring a licensed electrician is not that much more (Last i checked Henshaw Electric charged $150 per fan; the half-wit handyman I hired through craigslist charged $100 per fan. SInce I had to get Henshaw to re-hang said fan it actually cost me $250), He also grounded all the plugs in & around my computer and installed a surge suppressor in the electric box to safeguard all my stuff.

And yes, a licensed guy will charge a few bucks more but they are worth every penny. I can sleep at night knowing my fan or stove or whatever isn't going to burst into flames.

I've hired Ramon Umana twice since we went into contract for our new home.  He's dependable, professional, and courteous.  He emails to set up appointments too.  Ramon has rewired a number of outlets in my home, installed new lighting, and repaired faulty work done by another electrician.  I recommend him!

Double Diamond was a pleasure to deal with. Billie Vaughn does top notch work and I will use him anytime I get the opportunity. Highly recommended.

Totally unprofessional!. I called him( Ray) yesterday gave him my situation and address he said he would be here by 10am and that he would call me in the morning. He called at 9:46 to say he would be here in 45 min. at 10:23 he called back to say he thought I was close by to him. I told him I was on the southeast part of town and off the beltway. in the first call. According to the map on Yelp we are well within the area he serves. My impression is that he did not want to come at the last min he just wanted to get out of it and he got his wish....If I were you unless you are in his zip code and even then don't bother to call this unprofessional business.

Jamie was a God Sent. He did a great job he is quick and fair.

Quick response.  Showed up when they said they would.  Found the problem and fixed it.  Also, cheaper diagnostic fee than others in the area.  Can't ask for much more than that.

Phillip is the only electrician I will call.  He has done many jobs for us over the past two years and we're hoping he will do many more in the future.  He is honest and very reasonable.  You can't go wrong calling Phillip for your electrical needs.

I have used Rubio Electric many times and consistently gotten great customer service. It's run very professionally. I always get a quick callback from the owner, Justin, and he always gets over to help quickly. He is polite, follows up to make sure everything is ok, cleans up, sends a clear, professional invoice, and has never failed to do anything but excellent work. I recently needed some work and not only did he promise a start time, I got a confirmation phone call and text confirming it. This time two of his employees came. They confirmed their arrival, were polite, clean, extra helpful, gave me additional clear instructions for what I needed to do, and were very nice and friendly - and professional - to deal with.  If only more contractors could do the same. Justin and his team installed Ring devices (some walls had to be opened up), and did other interior work. I will always use and recommend them in the future.

Shane was great and really worked within my budget. I had his guys add some outdoor electrical outlets, fans, and more. They Ensured it was water tight, used good materials and followed code. I appreciate the hard work his guys did, they were here until 8:30PM to ensure they completed the job, and did it right! I'll be using Murphy's electric again.

I dealt with Ralph at REM electric and was so impressed with his customer service.  Highly recommend Ralph and REM electric for their expertise,  professionalism and ETHICAL approach to business.  They helped us with our back up generator. VERY REASONABLE. I made the mistake of calling 2 other electricians, before I finally found REM. Learn from my mistake.

Christmas Day, a few months after Hurricane Harvey my wife reported we had standing water on top of the septic tank lid. The septic company said the lift pump wasn't working because the GFI outlet had been underwater during the hurricane. I called Matt at Outlet Electric based on the previous review on Yelp, first company I spoke to also. I told him I wasn't in a hurry to get the plug replaced but needed him to come take care of it some time. He volunteered to come out right away if I really needed it. I said no and booked an appointment later. His guys were timely, very nice, extremely professional and got the job done quickly. I received an email invoice that was very fair for the work done and the travel time required to get to my house. I like to work with local people, these guys are local to me. My impression was that these guys know what they are doing and are professional. I would highly recommend their services!!!  They just seem to be good regular people trying to do a professional job at a fair price.

I called Van to help me with my new panel. He was funny and very helpful.
He has a master electrician and got the job done very quick. I would hire him anytime and would highly recommended him to anyone.

Laredo Company is a 5 star company and worth your time and consideration (if I could give them more stars I would). Everyone I interacted with was first class - professional, attentive, fair, and knowledgeable.

I replaced three AC units and had some electrical work done with them and I couldn't be more happy with their work. I'll use them from here on out.

I'll provide a quick example of the type of company this is. I wanted to install Reme Halo's in my house due to my allergies and one AC company told me that because of Halo's potential impact on C19 (100% not proven) they were in very short supply but they had bought the last major shipment in Houston and would sell me them at 4x their list price. So naturally I had others look into it as well and Laredo offered to install them at cost plus labor and they were able to find them from a certified dealer. And they provided me some information on them as well.

AC units and this type of work can be very expensive. Be careful out there and do your research. Trust me you will be happy you talked to Laredo.

Set yourself on fire before ever doing business with this John Henshaw clown.

I called this business for help with a plumbing leak.  I specifically stated on the phone that an AC diagnosis was done and we needed a plumber to snake out the line.  Girl on the phone said service technician was on another call and he would arrive after that call.  The truck appears about 2 hours after I placed the call and it was another AC technician.  When asked when the plumber was coming, there was no answer.  The manager cancelled the service call.  Inadequate personnel running this business.  Person taking the call in the first place got the whole problem royally messed up!

Was very happy with Mister Sparky.  Yovani was professional and did an excellent job of installing our ceiling fan to our patio.  They don't charge per hour but rather per job.  They will also tell you exactly how much things are going to cost up front.  So this means no surprises at the end.  I would recommend to friends and would have them back.

Husband actually called this place by accident - I asked him to call the electrician on Heights Boulevard not Heights Electric. What a debacle. Two clueless individuals showed up and bumbled around. Had to get owner involved to find a solution to problem. Repair quit working the next day. More bumbling around and work unsatisfactory. Will get a real electrician tomorrow to fix the problem and whatever these bozos did.
