Barry is as good as small business owners come. We had a good experience overall having fitting room lights and a switch installed, but an issue with the billing after the fact. Barry took our concerns very seriously, did an investigation on his end, and made it right. I highly recommend Barry and the team at Beckett!

I can see why Spicer has a 1000% batting average! Rick is a fantastic HV/AC resource! I couldn't have been more pleased. He located the problem, whereas another company had not and remedied the problem in about 30 minutes, and at a phenomenally affordable rate. Also, he is a nice guy. Thanks, Rick.

Absolute Electric will figure out your electric troubles, and explain it in a way that we can understand. They do more than just hang a ceiling fan. They make sure it's right and safe. How come that light won't come on? Call them - They'll figure it out!

I called three electricians recommended on Nextdoor and Scott was the only one who responded. I needed an outlet for a new dishwasher and disposal and I didn't have time to mess around with calling every electrician in town. Scott was able to make an appointment within a two business days, contacted me well before the appointment to let me know he was running late, and did the work efficiently and for less than he quoted. He even gave me some tips on how I could change out the GFI's in my kitchen on my own and told me to call him if I needed him to walk me through it. This kind of honesty and integrity is hard to find these days. I will definitely call Scott if I need any electrical work done in the future!

They showed up punctualy and quickly diagnosed the problem with my Service Panel Box. Laid new wire and rewired wall box and no more breakers tripping. Definitely a professional crew.

Our house started acting like Stranger Things all of a sudden; the lights were flickering and the fans would lose power, you could hear the fans slow down almost to a stop then speed back up to normal power. This would happen every 30-40 seconds, it was maddening and obviously a bit worrisome. I called O.N. first thing in the morning and Oscar sent a team out within the hour. Yon and Joshua got to work immediately and found the issue, Oscar even showed up and explained everything to me. Turned out the breaker box on the outside of the house was borked. When Oscar turned a breaker off and back on, you could literally hear electricity crackling. Oscar gave me an estimate which I thought was fair and Yon and Joshua got to work. After a few hours the house was no longer haunted and I had a proper breaker box set up. I wish I had before and after pictures, my house is an older house and the previous box looked like the rusty insides of a 1970s AMC Gremlin.
Highly recommend O.N. Electric, Oscar, Yon and Joshua saved the day.

Bob and his company did a great job installing our back porch outlets, fans and TV's a few years ago. I have recommended him and his company to many people. They do good quality work at a good value.

I was very impressed by the guys at Sunvison Electric. They came highly recommended by an electrician friend and they did not disappoint. After the owner Jim came out to visit and understood what I was trying to do with some rewiring, he made some good suggestions, quoted me a fair price and we agreed on a time to do the work. The service technician came out on time and did a great job. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work.
I would definitely recommend Sunvison to anyone looking for electrical work in North Austin.

I wanted to replace a light fixture in our entryway. The job seemed easy enough, but the 20 ft. ceiling made it difficult. Tomas had the right equipment and was very responsive. He arrived on time and the quote for the work was very reasonable. He even came back a week later to help install some different bulbs. I would recommend his services to anyone who needs electrical work done in their home.

Apex electric has completed three jobs at my house. One was an emergency breaker job late at night, a Tesla charger in my garage and two outlet issues. All the jobs were completed fast and at a great price. I highly recommend Apex.

Fusion Electric came out to look at problems we've had with our spa in our backyard. They were wonderful. Very professional, and knowledgeable. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it. I appreciate that they also suggested a fail safe way we would not have any electrical issues with it again. I highly recommend them and would have them return if I ever need an electrician.

Unfortunately I am one of the apparently many that have had horrible experiences with Dunman Electric. My first mistake was not looking at yelp before hiring them. However, both my mother and brother used them around 6 years ago and had no issues so it didn't even cross my mind.
I called Dunman on Tuesday 9/11/18 to get a quote for installing two ceiling fans I had purchased. The receptionist, Becky, was incredibly nice and told me that they charge $95 per fan if there is already existing blocking, or $120 per fan if there is no blocking. This seemed like a reasonable price, so I scheduled the installation for 9/14/18 and was very pleased they were able to fit me in so quickly. My second mistake was not getting these prices in writing.
I scheduled the time frame for 10am-12pm because I have two roommates that work late and sleep in, but I got a call at 9 am that the technicians would be there in 15 minutes. They were at the house 5 minutes later. Thankfully, my roommate woke up to my call to let them in and my parents were able to get to the house quickly to meet them. It was a bit stressful and I had spend 15 minutes of work time dealing with it, but I let it go because I know these things happen.
Then, when the technicians started they did not place any sort of plastic down under the first fan so my roommate's bed, dressers, and floor was COVERED in insulation (which had fiberglass in it) and drywall dust. They shook out her comforter and vacuumed the floor when they were done, but they still left a huge mess and we had to to a much more extensive cleaning later before she could sleep that night.
Next, there was an issue with the fan blades. The fan blades had two sides with different colors. They installed them black side down without asking which color we preferred. This was partially our mistake for not making clear which side to do before they started, but when asked to flip them they said, Well I picked the black side because it matched the furniture. It is not a technician's job to decide which color blade looks better in someone else's house. He then said it would be another $80 to flip the blades. This was quite annoying but, again, I just let it go and figured I would just figure out how to flip them later.
But then came time to pay. They finished and said the total was $569.
That is well over double the price I was told. They said they charged $170/hour, it took 3 hours, and there was an extra fee because I had not had any blocking for the fans. Unfortunately, my mom did not realize what they had quoted me and filled out a blank check I had left.
They also left their ladder in the garage, as well as the old lights and trash from the ceiling fan packaging in piles in the rooms.
I was still at work but I immediately called back the office and relayed everything that had happened to the receptionist to figure out what was going on. She told me she would pass my complaints on to a manager, who would get in contact with me after she talked to the technicians. I called back after an hour of not hearing from them. The receptionist informed me my case had been escalated to the owner and he would get in contact with me, however he was at an electrical emergency and it may not be until later that afternoon before I heard from him. I never heard from him. At this point I put a stop payment on the check so it would not be cashed before I had a chance to talk to Craig.
I had to call them back myself Monday. When I finally got in touch with him he informed me that while, yes, his receptionist had told me $120 per fan, the lowest he would go for the service was $450. $125 per fan installation plus $100 per fan for the blocking.
At this point I had already had to take a half day off of work and spent the entire weekend stressing about the situation. I am a first time, single homeowner in my 20's and I do not have $300+ laying around for a job I thought would be much cheaper. I would never have agreed to let this company do the work if I had gotten a quote for this amount upfront. It is not a good feeling to feel like you have been scammed. From the looks of the other reviews it seems like I'm not the first person that has felt this way after hiring them. On the plus side, they have taught me to always get any quotes for work in writing.
I would strongly advise anyone looking for an electrician to look elsewhere. There are plenty of honest companies in Austin. If you insist on using Dunman, make sure you get everything in writing. In the end, I agreed to this price to get all of this behind me and to keep from missing any more work, not because I thought it was fair or just. I truly hope Craig and everyone else at Dunman learns from this experience and can provide better service for their customers.

I've been through a series of unfortunate events and still do not have air conditioning since the end of May. I called these guys for a second opinion recently. When they arrived the technician was friendly and seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He diagnosed my unit with an incorrectly sized capacitor and said that it was the cause of my issues and that the other company failed to replace it with the right size. Upon further investigation (looking at the parts list located inside of the unit), I found that the previous tech did indeed replace the right part and that I was blatantly lied to. I can understand a small mistake but when you go into bashing the company I used before, and tell me I need to replace parts I don't, I start to lose faith in you. So now I'm out the 150 fee for nothing. It's a shame too as I was personally referred to them.
Update 6/25/18:
The company reached out to me about my review in an effort to remedy the situation. While I do appreciate management reaching out to customers in times like this, I could have still been charged quite a bit of money (as estimated by the tech), for something that turned out to not be the issue. I have bumped them to 3 stars for the time being in an effort to remedy this situation and appreciate them wanting to send a senior tech out to diagnose what exactly is going on. I will provide further updates on this review as this transpires in an effort to remain fair to not only the customer, but also the company.
