Efficient Air was my fourth estimate for a new A/C/Heating system, and Darwin really nailed it. He's a fun, patient, highly intelligent, super helpful guy, who has a passion for designing air conditioning systems. By the end of his pitch, I could see how amateurish and untrustworthy the other sales reps/companies that had given me their estimates were. He really seems to care about your satisfaction from beginning to end. He'd always pick up or get back to me soon with any phone calls, and ended one call saying he would be right over with an expert to do an inspection of my air ducts and address a last-minute concern I had. In the end, to allay my concern over mold in the air ducts, he said he'd install some new flex air ducts for what another a/c company said was at cost of material or below cost (when I was having mold removed from house, contractor brought in a/c guy to give estimate on flex ducts). I needed to have mold removed from my A/C closet, and Darwin even agreed to disassemble and take away my old A/C and then come back to install the new one right after the mold remediation was completed, and before I signed a formal agreement.

And Tony and another man whose name escapes me took away my old A/C and installed the new A/C and were both outstanding as well. Tony was very patient answering all my questions and left me feeling very confident they did a top-notch installation (inspector just came today and when I was in another room, I heard him say under his breath, Very nice job.). I went with a higher-end system than I received any other estimates for, but the pricing on the other mid-range system Darwin gave me was the same as other estimates I got on lower-quality brands. Dustin was another employee I interacted with regarding paperwork and duct work, and another consummate professional.

I'm new to Austin and a first-time homebuyer who has had a lot of work done on my house, and I've quickly learned how difficult it is to find service providers you can trust. Whoever owns this company knows how to hire, keep his employees happy/engaged, and the importance of a good client experience from end to end.

I noticed there are five other reviews that are not showing per yelp... weird. Yelp, these guys ARE that good.

Had an outdoor dusk-to-dawn High Pressure Sodium light that got hit by lightning & wasn't working anymore. I had tried replacing the bulb, but no joy so I called Reynolds Electric. He could've come out & fixing it (and made his money(, but instead Nick suggested it might be more economical to replace the whole fixture with a new LED light. How is that for honesty & integrity?!? I did that, and really appreciate his willingness to **help** me (not just take my money). Now I know that the next time I actually need an electrician, I'll be calling Reynolds Electric with confidence that I'll be getting great honest service!!

Well its nice to see so many wonderful reviews. Sadly, my mother and I can't say the same. After reading about all the complex work this handyman has accomplished, I was quite surprised that instead of coming to give us an estimate on the work we needed done, we were asked to send pictures. (Something I noticed nobody else has mentioned in these reviews.) So after that was done, my mother receives a call from him, and apparently we just have too much work that needs to be done. Really? I have never heard a contractor say those words. Also that's a surprise considering what I just finished reading in another review about no job being too big or too small, or even reading about him constructing a wall or a piece of furniture. And one of the things we wanted were some overhanging structures over our doors so we would not constantly get rained on trying to come inside. But I guess that IS more work than constructing a WALL. It just seemed that there were more excuses than answers. I will however give him an extra star for at least calling us back and offering to do at least half the work we needed. I guess its better than nothing, right? That's ok. Hopefully we can get someone who actually needs the work and the money and will show up to give estimates.

We would like to recommend Mr. Wade Hudson, owner of Tejas Electric without reservation. As we always do when we need to hire any contractor to do an involved job, we interviewed around 7 electricians. Without exception, as soon as they hear the details of the job, every one of them tried to make the job bigger and more complex than it really needed to be. Some made sure to discuss the price of parts (we needed copper wire, conduits, disconnect boxes) and supplies, others made installation suggestions that did not make any sense, etc. Wade was the only one with realistic and straight proposals. The job was to bring 220/240V power outlets to 6 different locations around the outside of the house so we can have an HVAC contractor install ductless mini-splits. Our idea was to use the power already there for the two central units on each side of the house and the power from their air handlers inside the house since they were going to be disabled and replaced by the mini-splits. Wade agreed that it was the best and easiest option for the job. After his visit, he promptly sent us a realistic quote with a detailed description of the work to be done as we described it. We had to work around his schedule and blocked out two days the coming weeks. Wade and his electrician showed up on time both days. The job had a couple of difficult steps and Wade found elegant solutions to solve the problems without complaints. The job was done to spec, to code and on time. Tejas Electric has been in business in Dripping Springs and surrounding areas for 24 years and it is easy to see why they are busy. They are knowledgeable, honest and reasonable. Wade and Co. will be our go-to electrician from now on. Thank you, Wade.

Leslie did a fantastic job with our recessed lighting project. He was so patient while working with us to get all the precise locations where we wanted our lights. The light install is simply amazing and our living room is so much brighter now. Will definitely recommend him for any electrical projects that you might have.

Got an appointment, guy came out and said he didn't have the materials needed (to install a light switch and run a line to my ceiling fan). Said someone would call me back to set up another appointment. No one EVER contacted me again. It's so far been 2 weeks. My guess is they won't call. I'm not going to bother calling back myself because 1. they didn't call to schedule 2. wouldn't an electrician come with BASIC materials?

UPDATE - I am ammending my review because Alan called and TOTALLY made things right with me. Not only did he get someone out there promptly but he kept the line of communication open while he was trying to schedule it. After talking to the electrician that came out, I found out what happened to the previous guy. I love when companies care enough to make it right. I will use Austin Electric in the future!

We started having some electricity issues in the kitchen and our oven and dishwasher did not have power.

We tried flipping the breaker without and luck.

Corwin was able to get it figured out quickly.

Incredible service and communication. Something wasn't right and they came back, new part ordered, and got to us right away. Will be our electrician for life!

I've been a contract for myself for over 40 years and used many of electrical so-called service companies but aztech seems to go above and beyond the Call of Duty and professionalism the show up on time the prices are great their clean-cut and professional definitely recommend them will not use anybody but them keep up the good work guys

I had a great experience through out my projects with Justin and his crew. Justin was always responsive, showed up when he said they would, and was open to any changes that I had. This was very refreshing as most contractors I've dealt with have not been responsive and just randomly show up. I highly recommend Justin and his crew to anyone needing electrical work. The crew did great work for me and were a pleasure to work with. I'll definitely use Goat Electric again when I need more electrical work.

GG Electric recently did some field work for us on an unusual project: fixing an electrical horse fence.  JP and Garrett came out and got muddy and dirty and got in there with the horses and fixed the fence in splendid time!!  This job was super-important to us as it's our horses' safety we're talking about and they were professional, extremely well-priced, and fast.  I highly recommend this company for unusual jobs and those more routine!

Silver Electric and Solar did a great job removing/reinstalling my solar panels so that I could have the roof replaced. They got them taken down the day before replacement, and they had them reinstalled 2 days after the roof was complete. Friendly and patient while I worked things out with insurance/my HOA. Highly recommend!

Cole did an amazing job installing my disco ball. He was VERY precise which allowed for minimal sheet rock damage. He was sure to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it before making any cuts and took very precise measurements as well, making sure to give me multiple options as he explained there's no one way to do a job. I'm very happy with TruTec, the were professional, knowledgeable, and gave me accurate estimates of time, etc. Overall- groOoOovy experience
