Best Electricians in Austin, TX
Barry is as good as small business owners come. We had a good experience overall having fitting room lights and a switch installed, but an issue with the billing after the fact. Barry took our concerns very seriously, did an investigation on his end, and made it right. I highly recommend Barry and the team at Beckett!

After owning a couple homes and living in Austin for most of my life, I've finally found an HVAC person who is trustworthy, reliable, and competent. My furnace has had such a bad history; shortly after buying the house 5 years ago, I discovered a part that was going out (induced draft motor). The home warranty people wouldn't replace until it completely died (I got rid of them instead). Then, I went to the old standby company I used to use (Strand), told them I didn't have money for a new system, and yet they tried to sell me and scare me that soon I wouldn't be able to get parts. Their estimate was twice the price Rick Spicer actually charged. He was completely honest and assured me if well maintained for my furnace could have years and years of life left in it. I learned a big lesson. Thanks Rick for the excellent service at a great price.

We recently had AJ do some electrical work at our home. It was a fairly intense job only because we had so many things we were trying to tackle; new lights throughout the house, new outlets and switch plates, security camera, you name it, we were adding it to our list! AJ and his team are fantastic. His work is very high quality, he's very detailed, professional and always on time. Plus, he and his crew are fun to work with and have a great attitude! We highly recommend Ruiz Electric to anyone needing electrical work. Thanks AJ!

Absolute Electric will figure out your electric troubles, and explain it in a way that we can understand. They do more than just hang a ceiling fan. They make sure it's right and safe. How come that light won't come on? Call them - They'll figure it out!

I called three electricians recommended on Nextdoor and Scott was the only one who responded. I needed an outlet for a new dishwasher and disposal and I didn't have time to mess around with calling every electrician in town. Scott was able to make an appointment within a two business days, contacted me well before the appointment to let me know he was running late, and did the work efficiently and for less than he quoted. He even gave me some tips on how I could change out the GFI's in my kitchen on my own and told me to call him if I needed him to walk me through it. This kind of honesty and integrity is hard to find these days. I will definitely call Scott if I need any electrical work done in the future!

I had issues with no electrical power for about 2 of my rooms. One room been the computer room where we have all our electronics: internet routers, alarm hard drive, WiFi and working areas. I was very worry because this systems are essential for me but more for my wife, who is a teacher and does a lot of computer work for lessons plans, etc.

A friend of mine recommended the owner Steven Fikes to me so I went in and asked for him specifically for some work I have been looking into getting done. I was told by a colleague that he was out on a sick day so I thanked him and left.
Later that morning I'm notified by a family member that he had posted a video in a Facebook group in our community from his security footage of me walking back to my car in the parking lot, stating that someone sent their pregnant wife in regards to her husband doing illegal work and slandered me in the comments. As I am an 8 month pregnant wife, I have no idea what that was in regards to and believe he has me confused with someone/something else.
Either way, this is by far the most unprofessional thing I have ever encountered and I am still in disablief how something so insignificant got recorded and put on social media. If I could give zero stars I would. I'm confused and embarrassed to say the least.
If this is any indication of how this man conducts business, I would steer clear and far from this establishment.

Fusion electric charges for travel time at the same rate as labor. The invoice does not separate travel time from labor time, nor does it detail any shared travel time between jobs. Our job an hour from Marble Falls had hours billed that were double the hours worked and there was another Fusion job in the area but details of the travel hours were not provided.
There was a parts charge on the invoice but no detail. Fusion did charge us travel time to return borrowed but unused parts but during bill discussion agreed to withdraw that charge.
Fusion charges a 5% credit fee and sent us an invoice that had already been charged to our card with that fee all without our permission as we wanted to use a check to pay to avoid the credit fee-invoice due date was 28 days later.
One should be very careful when using this company, recording time on the job, parts, est travel, demand full accounting prior to any payment and be prepared to contest the billing.

The surge protectors kept going on and off in the house, so I called the City of Austin power department to check and see if it was an Austin Energy issue. I thought it would be the next day before they came out, but to my surprise they came right out and determined that the left panel bar of the electrical box was weak (or something) and that it would it have to be replaced. They immediately cut my power and said I needed an electrician to replace the panel bar and an emergency work permit (if I wanted it fixed asap). Otherwise I could be several days with no power.
I called my regular electric company and explained I needed the panel replaced and there needed to be an emergency work permit since I didn't want be without power for 2-3 days. Their response was that they could get a work permit but it would take several days. I repeated that an emergency work permit would solve the delay and the city employee (he even got his supervisor to get on the line with them) explained the steps to get the emergency work permit. They seemed unable to recognize that having no power was an emergency work permit situation.
I recognized that I needed to find someone who could comprehend the situation. Using the yellow pages I found the ad for Dunman Electric with a bullet item panel upgrade. Long story short, I called them and they understood what the electric problem was plus seemed familiar with obtaining the emergency work permit. Hallelejah, it was not a problem, the response was they would fax one to the city and the electrician would come that afternoon. Thank heavens I was sitting down.
Brian from Dunman Electric did arrive and determined that none of the panels he had would fix my box (over 30 years old). I was seeing a long dark night ahead but he called the office and they went to the warehouse and got what was needed. He drove off to get the parts assuring me that he would return (there was doubt in my mind) and not only did he return but two other employees (Becky and Jennifer) came to assist him. It was dark by now and they were working by headlights. They got the power box fixed and did the additional work needed to bring our setup up to city code. The office staff had coordinated things so well that the city inspector arrived just a few minutes after the work was finished. The inspector gave his approval and then called the power department to come and turn the power back on. So our power was back on at 9:30ish the same day it was turned off.
The staff conducted themselves in a professional and friendly manner. The company motto is bringing light into the darkness and that is what happened at my house; so, if you have an electric problem, call Dunman.
