Best Plumbing Services in Pittsburgh, PA
I was not at the home during the service -- but this makes my review even more important to me. I learned about it all from my Aunt who was super impressed with Todd from First Call Plumbing. The sewer backed up to the point where we could not use our appliances and were apprehensive to flush the toilet. My Aunt's regular plumber was on vacation so we had to find someone new. My Aunt was very skeptical about using someone new, but the smell was unbearable and she had no choice. Calling Todd same day, he was helpful, polite and ensured he fit us in, and on a Saturday, too. In addition to solving the problem, he assisted in clean up. He also did a review of other areas of the home. Pricing was generous -- they only charge OT on a Sunday! Thanks for a great experience, Todd!

We have used Scott Boyd plumbing ourselves and recommended them to my mother and our son for various jobs. Here's the first unique thing - they answer the phone!! Number 2 thing is this( wait for it) they actually show up when they say they will.. I know most of you will call bs on that, but it's 100% true!! We have been stood up by various plumbers ( yeah you know who you are) so many times I still can't believe these guys show up!! And if they have the parts , they fix what needs fixed. And what they charge is really reasonable. Nice people, decent prices, good work. And don't forget- they actually SHOW UP! So if you want a totally new experience- give these guys a call.

I've hired Pawlak Plumbing for several projects over the years. My most recent experience was in February 2020 when I hired them to change my hot water tank and they returned in April 2020 to snake a basement drain. In all my experiences, their team is professional and courteous. They established a time to do the job and arrived as agreed, completing the tasks within a reasonable amount of time. They are always very willing to explain the plumbing issues and I appreciate learning a little more about my property every time I have to get work done.

Michael was just out at my house to service my furnace. He could not have been nicer and more professional. I am not very savvy when it comes to furnaces but he answered a few questions I had. Could not recommend this company enough.

Matt and Anthony from McNabb were working at a neighbor's home. She had realized she didn't have a plumbing shut-off valve in the home itself and her outside valve cover was broken and the valve compartment was filled with dirt. Matt cleared the exterior valve so he could shut water off and installed her new interior valve, without an issue. I had also inspected our interior valve (a piece of junk) and after meeting them outside of neighbor's, had this team come to install a new high quality interior shut-off, in addition to repairing a leaking waste pipe from our bathroom vanity sinks and tightening our kitchen faucet under the counter. These guys are the best. Good quality work, efficient use of time. I don't know about comparing cost with other firms, but their fees were fine given the quality of service and work.

I rely on my fellow Yelpers to give me honest, unbiased reviews of local businesses. Most of my reviews and searches are about food, but occasionally I have a need for another type of business and this is the first place I turn. You all led me to this small, local business and you were spot-on, so I am paying it forward by adding my review!
My family had our pipes freeze in the winter storm this Christmas. Friday, it was the cold water pipe, which took seven hours of work to unfreeze. We thought we were in the clear and counted our blessings as we kept the cold water running overnight Friday -- only to discover Saturday around noon that the hot water pipe was now frozen solid. Twelve straight hours of effort with hair dryers, space heaters, boiling water pots, heating pad wraps and everything else we could think of did not work and we went to sleep Christmas Eve defeated, wondering how we were hosting the rest of my family on Christmas with no hot water, dishwasher, etc. (Our efforts did eventually pay off with the hot water coming on at 8 a.m. Christmas morning and no pipes bursting. So grateful.)
During this nightmare I called a number of plumbers who list themselves as emergency 24/7 plumbers, but only Gary from Brickhaas called back. He called during the span of time that I thought everything was under control, but I asked if we could be booked for later in the week to unclog a bathroom drain I've had a problem with lately. Glad I booked them as, after the pipes thawed, the under sink drain was leaking slightly so Dominic was able to take a look at both of these things today. He called with a 20-minute heads up on his arrival, efficiently took care of the clogged sink and an aerator that was limiting water flow, installed a new kitchen sink trap assembly (which he said I could honestly take or leave; I appreciated the honesty but opted to replace for my own peace of mind), and offered solid advice about what we might do if plans to better insulate those water pipes in the future didn't work out re: rerouting the pipes from their current, poor location. He was highly knowledgeable, didn't hard sell anything and I absolutely got his card as I'll be calling them for future plumbing needs.
Yelp comes through, as usual!

BEWARE! THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! DISHONEST, UNRELIABLE, RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
He no-showed after low bidding a sewer liner repair for me. His bid was approx $1,000-1,500 less than two other reputable plumbers. Unfortunately, the bank crediting me for the repair (in negotiating a home purchase), chose his bid-since it was by far the lowest.
He strung me along for months, promising to do the work, then eventually stopped returning my calls/texts. I had to scramble to find another plumber, and had to pay a reputable plumber hundreds of dollars (out of my own pocket!) to make up the difference from what the bank credited me and his low-ball offer. I almost received thousands of dollars in fines from the Township for not having the work completed on time.
At one point he showed up unannounced, 2 months later, when I wasn't even at home, pretending he was going to start the job-after I had already cancelled him and scheduled another plumber (I imagine in an attempt to protect himself from a lawsuit). He claimed he then broke his camera on rocks in my sewer while doing an inspection, so now he could not do the job! Rocks that weren't there weeks before, when the dye test was done, but mysteriously appeared when he showed up. He was rude to my neighbors when they asked who he was and what he was doing-then took off in a hurry leaving them to clean up the rocks everyone believes *he* planted there.
He claimed he didn't have a replacement camera (most plumbers have 12) and that it would take 2 weeks(!) for the camera to be repaired (past the deadline for the work to be completed without fines). When I offered to wait the two weeks (just calling his bluff, not actually planning to use him at this point) he THEN claimed he didn't have the money to get the camera fixed- after he'd already told me it was in the shop being repaired!
He actually acted like he was doing me a favor by not charging me for the camera he supposedly broke on the rocks in my sewer.
I found out that he is considered a joke who does this all the time: low bids to get the job, over books and then cancels or no-shows last minute. Do yourself a favor and use Matt Mertz, who I highly recommend.

I recently had Always... come out to do a preventative maintenance on my furnace and to unstop a clogged drain.
I thought that the guy that came out was pretty knowledgeable, I would have asked him to do major repairs. The drain definitely works much better now and he even gave me some advice on what to do to keep it working better.
The preventative on the furnace really didn't seem like he did too much just clean the motor.
Some bad things: I really feel like I was overcharged, the service call alone is 70$ without doing a thing. They were supposed to return my call a day earlier than they did. Also they were supposed to get back to me with a quote for more work and they still haven't (a week later). Also the preventative furnace maintenance didn't even come with a new filter, this seems so basic to me, but maybe they never do.
I gave 3 stars because I feel they were competent, and could probably do any work. I will not be using them again.

Did really good work for a good price however I found a chip in the sink but I didn't find it until after the glass shower door were installed by a different company so I didn't know where it came from so I told him that I knew Lowe's would exchange the sink for free and it was free but he charged me 680.00 dollars to install the whole vanity, sink and faucet and he charged me 326.00 dollars just to swap the sink out and the sink was free get a price before he does the work!!! 33

We only found these guys because their sticker was on our water heater inherited from previous owners. When it died, we called Mitchell and they were able to send someone that day to diagnose and quote prices on new ones (the old one was beyond its expectancy). While they were here we had them take a look at our kitchen faucet. They gave us a different, cheaper, and easier diagnosis than a previous plumber had. Best part: it fixed the problem when they came out to do it a few days later.

Jimmy was absolutely great. We just bought our house and seems like we inherited a bunch of fun little problems. He gave us an assessment, told us what we needed and gave us a fair price. Couldn't be happier.

I called the plumber this am arrived at 3:00 pm I described my problem to the individual on the phone ,the plumber arrived in a pickup truck had nothing on it said he will return tomorrow with needed parts,I called the office and asked why would you send out a plumber without parts, his reply was that the plumber was not at the warehouse and could not possibly carry everything with him, the gentleman on the line was VERY RUDE making excuses for his help, this guy has NO CLASS and should TAKE A COURSE IN PEOPLE SKILLS .How does he stay in business? Now It will be 2days to repair instead of 2hours all the plumbers that I see have a panel truck that is stocked with supplies what is his
