Pittsburgh's Best Plumbing

Don't get this place. Back in January they came out to my house to fix leaky faucet. They said it's an old faucet, you need to replace, my mgr will call u later with some options; and we won't charge u the service call cause u already paid to have us come out to look at faucet and we couldn't fix the problem. That seemed fair to me. Trouble is, the mgr Never called me.  Then 10 months later down the road, I now have leaky shower head and I called them leaving a message 2 days ago.   NO CALL BACK in 48 hours?  WTF Obviously they don't care nor need the work. I guess it's a peanuts job dollar wise. Don't call them unless u have a huge project so it's worth ur for them.  Rating = F

Had an appointment for 8:30 this morning for an estimate.  Now 10 am...No show and no phone call.  They have certainly demonstrated their standard of non-commitment to the customer.

I scheduled an appointment for 10:00 AM, Monday June 29th. At 10:20 I called to see where the tech was. I was told that the appointment was for either Monday or Tuesday at 10:00. Not sure where they got this info from as I would never schedule a plumbing appointment for either Monday or Tuesday at 10:00. I was told that the tech would be there Tuesday at 10:00. Tuesday at 10:15 and no tech. Another call to the company got me the response of, they are running late on another job, you are next. When I asked how long I was told, I have no idea. At this point I cancelled the appointment and suggested they remove the word BEST from their name as it is clearly false advertising.

Professional and prompt service!  I was very happy with the technicians' knowledge and service.   All of my questions and concerns were addressed.  I will definitely call them again!

I had a spot on the garage ceiling.  

When they arrived, they immediately cut a whole in the ceiling plaster board where the water spot was.    They felt around but couldn't find anything wet, so they think it was condensation from a duct in that area.   The plumber could feel a pipe connection and asked if I wanted metallic tape put around the connection....that way it would ensure there would be no leak from there.

In order to reach the pipe connection, they had to increase the hole size a little larger.  

The reason I am only giving them 3 stars is:
1.)  they should have told me upfront that they are not responsible for repairing any hole they make.
2.)  they did not leave an invoice.    I had to call the office multiple times before they sent it to me in the mail.
3.) They were only working in the garage for less than 30 minutes (more like 20 minutes).  The bill was  $229.50 - $79.50 for a SERVICE/DIAGNOSTIC FEE and $150.00 for Cut access out in ceiling to find water leak.  
4.)  They made no attempt to even sweep up the mess they left on the garage floor.

I recently had Always... come out to do a preventative maintenance on my furnace and to unstop a clogged drain.

I thought that the guy that came out was pretty knowledgeable, I would have asked him to do major repairs. The drain definitely works much better now and he even gave me some advice on what to do to keep it working better.
The preventative on the furnace really didn't seem like he did too much just clean the motor.

Some bad things: I really feel like I was overcharged, the service call alone is 70$ without doing a thing. They were supposed to return my call a day earlier than they did. Also they were supposed to get back to me with a quote for more work and they still haven't (a week later). Also the preventative furnace maintenance didn't even come with a new filter, this seems so basic to me, but maybe they never do.

I gave 3 stars because I feel they were competent, and could probably do any work. I will not be using them again.

We had some troubles with the plumbing in our bathroom so we called Always Your Best Choice. They had our bathroom fixed in no time! We set up an appointment and we're very nice in person and over the phone. Great customer service and everything is working the way it should!
