Best Electricians in Philadelphia, PA
Steve has done a number of projects at my house: from electrical repairs, recessed lighting installation, and the installation of a backup generator for when the power goes out. Electrical Solutions is one of the best contractors I've ever worked with. They always return my calls and they do what they say they are going to do. The work is top-notch and the prices are very reasonable.

Mike and his crew are wonderful to work with for electrical projects. A nicer man you will never meet. No job truly is not to small for Mike.

HIGGINS ELECTRIC -- DREAM TEAM TURNED IT AROUND. Must read!
New to the Media area, just closed on a condo and 1 day later ...
ELECTRIC ISSUES!
With specific electric outage switch issues throughout the new (but dated) place (ie kitchen, dining room and bedrooms).
I thought I was being Punk'd - I haven't even unpacked!
BASED ON A REFERRAL
Called HIGGINS ELECTRIC - I spoke to Theresa (so nice and solution-oriented), who put me at ease and ultimately dispatched some of their best electricians, Krista and Bob!
Krista and Bob both came (after confirming every step of the way via text or call/ their arrival, next steps etc)... masked, helpful, kind, friendly- PROFESSIONAL -- straight to the point. Like CSI-Where's this issue!? What did you experience, etc They both went to their detective work. Very thorough, asking questions and checking outlets and overhead wiring, panels, etc.
THE SOLVE/RESOLUTION
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon identified a a random switch outlet in the condo that was rigged to control all those rooms (who knew?)
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon updated my outdated electric wiring: replacing my kitchen ballast and switch; swapped out my dining room fixture; and updated the master bed room light/ceiling fan with LED/remote control fixture!
THE SWEET SPOT
From being so very upset, frustrated and despondent about the electricity in my 1st new place, I was immediately transformed to a place of THANKS AND APPRECIATION above and beyond! and loving the fabulous and functional updates!
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM ROCKS! I recently learned this is a family owned business operating in The area over 75 years - and still going strong! you will see why... They deliver! they are knowledgeable! they are Professional and fair!

After a wireless switch in my home failed, and having been stood up twice by other electricians, I called Street Bros after seeing the great reviews. Eric, the electrician, was quite courteous, efficient, and clear in his explanation of my electrical issue- which turned out to be a finicky switch. It helps that SB's methodology for pricing (time & materials basis) was explained to me before I scheduled to have Eric come out. Should I have troubles in the future, Street Bros will be the company I call first.

Mike did some electrical work for me. He was very prompt in responding to the initial inquiry. I'm very pleased with his mannerism and his reliability. His work is definitely reference worthy. When in need, Mike will be first home repair professional I will call.

Work was completed in a timely, professional, and cleanly manner. Highly recommended business.

Jeff came out to our house to perform a free estimate. He took a look around for 15 minutes, then informed my husband that it was just the breaker and that he had fixed it right there and then. He said he'd send a bill, which we figured was fair enough since the problem was fixed, after all. He never indicated a price to either of us before or after the service and we never agreed to any price because none was ever given to us.
A few days later we were sent a bill for $175. Somehow, a free estimate (as listed right on his Angie's List page) that lasted 15 minutes turned into a $175 service charge. When I emailed him to ask him about the charge and how he got that number, he gave me a step by step (literally--he even told me how many times he walked back and forth between the house and garage) retelling of that 15 minutes. That still didn't explain why he is advertising free estimates as such if they aren't, in fact, free. I informed him that if he had to perform billable work to complete an estimate, then he shouldn't offer them for free. Had he told me upfront that he would need to charge us for testing, I would have asked the price and agreed or passed on the appointment. That is the fair way to do business.
In response, Jeff sent me this email [sic throughout quote]:
You know what? Forget it. On me!! I dont want you as a customer. I dont want your money Please dont ever call me again for service. Im happy to fix your problem for free , but i choose to never service you again. Its not worth the aggravation. i never in 30 years have been treated like this. Have a nice day.

It was incredibly unprofessional and downright rude. MY emails were firm, but always polite. I had offered to pay for a portion of the bill since I did think it was fair to pay for fixing the problem. Had he had an explanation for why the bill was so high (travel costs, parts, something like that), I would have paid the whole thing; however, Jeff had no explanation for these costs and instead resorted to throwing a temper tantrum.
I took it upon myself to post this email on Facebook yesterday and in less then 24 hours I've had others come to me and tell me that Jeff tried to con them or their friends out of money. So buyer beware--this is not a person you want to do business with.
UPDATE: Since posting this review, Jeff has sent me messages through email and Yelp apologizing for his behavior, but I chose not to respond because he seems very unpredictable. As a result, he is now attempting to say that I'm lying, etc. I still have the emails between the 2 of us, as well as a screenshot showing that he advertises on Angie's List for free estimates he is not willing to provide. Nothing I have posted here is untrue in any way. Based on his current behavior I can only assume that his attempts at an apology were only made to make me alter my review and now that he isn't getting his way, he's trying to discredit me. This is not someone you want working on your home. And by the way--the power is out in my garage again so his fix was a total waste of 15 minutes anyway.

I owned my home for several years and had no ceiling light in my living room. My home was over 100 years old, so it was originally gas lighting. Manny placed 6 recessed lights in my living room ceiling and included a dimmer switch! Then he installed baseboard electric heaters in every room including my living room. He did an excellent job and I was very happy.

I hired Wes Carver Electric to research and repair several switches that did not seem to work in my home. The booking and pre appointment reminders and procedures were stellar, with the name and photograph of the technician who would provide service.
The service rep arrived on time and reviewed my needs with me. He was very efficient in determining the causes of the problems as well as follow-through with repair.
The only complaint that I have is with two switches that were bad and needed to be replaced. The color of the original switches were almond, but the rep only had ivory or white on his truck. I chose white to get the working switches, but the difference in the colors on the two switch banks is very noticeable, so I will have the added expense of purchasing almond switches and replacing them myself.
I mentioned this issue to Michelle on her follow up phone call the day after my service appointment and she did say that she would look into the issue and get back to me. However, this is Day 3 following the appointment and I have not heard anything from her. I have no idea if she is still working on the issue or if it has been dropped.

We have always gotten great service at a great price from Frater's. They always take the time to understand what we need, and to suggest ways to deal with it. Looking forward to doing business with them again!

George was a pleasure to have in my home. Very polite and personable. I had a small job and he responded to my problem on time and completed promptly. Would absolutely use him for any future jobs I may encounter.

Good communication. Fast and clean work. I had a new circuit installed. It was easy. He also let me know a break for some unmarked outlets.

I haven't had a need for an electrical contractor yet but when I do I will Call Light Source. I just moved into my home in Somerdale, NJ and today, April 13, 2020, I get a ring at my door. A guy tells me that a branch had fallen from a tree and my phone wire had fallen. He then gets a ladder from his truck and secures the wire back to the house. I offered compensation for his efforts but he refused. Just goes to remind us all that there are good people everywhere. Thank you Light Source for hiring people with character.

Neil, the RMV electrician just installed a complete home surge protection on my house. The power in my neighborhood goes off a couple of times per year, and I needed to protect all of my electrical devices. Neil was knowledgeable and friendly. This was my second time hiring the company.
