This is an exceptional company. They are my only go to company for electrical work. They've done work at my home 3 times now and I've even had them to my mother's house to install outside lights. They always arrive on time, are professional and the cost is very reasonable. When I first moved into the house, I had a another electrical company come in to replace 3 receptacles and the costs was pretty steep. I did not know crazy that cost was until I had electrical solutions in to do work and was so surprised at how much more reasonable they are. I won't even call any other company now for electrical work.

JDog was a true Godsend. On the heels of a terrible moving experience, I called JDog to help me reassemble some furniture. Buck was so accommodating, he moved some things around on the schedule and had a guy at my apartment in a half hour! In 90 minutes, Matt assembled my son's bed (a loft with a slide-not easy!), our king size platform bed frame and hung a huge mirror. He was polite but got the job done swiftly and professionally. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Happy to support our servicemen and women!

My mom recommended Mike for some work I needed done on my home because he had done a bunch of stuff at her house in Wilmington. She was very pleased with her experience, so she called to see if he was licensed in PA and willing to come to the Prospect Park area (he is/was).

He arrived with an assistant and completed the following work in about 2 hours:

- Installed a 220 volt outlet for my dryer
- Installed a dimmer switch in my living room
- Installed a fan with a light attached to it in my master bedroom
- Installed a light in my attic (with a chain pull and also a light switch)
- Removed the old wired doorbell

He was professional and cleaned up after himself. 5 stars for a job well done!

ELECTRIC ISSUES!
With specific electric outage switch issues throughout the new (but dated) place (ie kitchen, dining room and bedrooms).
I thought I was being Punk'd - I haven't even unpacked!

BASED ON A REFERRAL
Called HIGGINS ELECTRIC - I spoke to Theresa (so nice and solution-oriented), who put me at ease and ultimately dispatched some of their best electricians, Krista and Bob!

Krista and Bob both came (after confirming every step of the way via text or call/ their arrival, next steps etc)... masked, helpful, kind, friendly- PROFESSIONAL -- straight to the point.  Like CSI-Where's this issue!? What did you experience, etc They both went to their detective work. Very thorough, asking questions and checking outlets and overhead wiring, panels, etc.

THE SOLVE/RESOLUTION
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon identified a a random switch outlet in the condo that was rigged to control all those rooms (who knew?)
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon updated my outdated electric wiring: replacing my kitchen ballast and switch; swapped out my dining room fixture; and updated the master bed room light/ceiling fan with LED/remote control fixture!

THE SWEET SPOT
From being so very upset, frustrated and despondent about the electricity in my 1st new place, I was immediately transformed  to a place of THANKS AND APPRECIATION above and beyond! and loving the fabulous and functional updates!

Excellent service. My garage door opener was going crazy.  Eric, the service man, was clear in his explanation of the problem and efficient in installing a new one. This company was recommended and they replaced an old system in 2007 and now I am ready for more years to come.  Nice people to work with in your home.

I took a chance with Yelp to find a contractor after the four referred by friends couldn't come to our works for at least 3 months. We usually reserve this kind of work for people we know or recommended by people we trust. So, I was a little skeptical about how it would turn out.

Michael definitely delivered. He showed up the next day to give a quote, sent me a quote a couple of days later, and then started the job two weeks from my initial inquiry. So the first part of this review is that he showed up in a timely manner, which was something 4 other people failed to do.

He worked on our basement drywall after we had a flood. He replaced the bottom half of what was cut out, put in trim, and painted. He also built us a wall split up the giant space. It all turned out really well and I couldn't be more happy with it.

My only complaint, but not enough to lower my stars, was that due to our basement set up, all the spackling sanding ended up on our first floor (there's no door down to the basement). It was everywhere. If you'll have this same issue, I'd recommend putting up some sort of plastic barrier.

If you need drywall repair, give Michael a call! He also accepts Venmo, which was a plus for us.

Jeremy rewired most of my 120+ year old house to replace knob and tube.  The work was done prior to closing the sale, so it could not have been easy balancing the needs of both a seller and a buyer simultaneously, but he was great!  He called at critical steps along the way to offer options and ask for approval, and was able to bill separately for a few additional things that I wanted done as well with an eye toward future improvements and renovations.  Highly recommended!!!

I'm very pleased with my entire experience with Brandon Electric. We needed to upgrade some old wiring in our home, so we gave them a call. Jeff came out on Saturday morning (which was so convenient instead of shifting around the workweek), explained exactly what was needed and gave me an extremely fair price. We also discussed future work that I was considering, knowing it would be a bigger job, and Jeff explained to me that I wouldn't necessarily need all of that, and he explained easier, cheaper alternative work that can be done. A lesser electrician would have seen dollar signs in his eyes. So I instantly got the feeling he was trustworthy too.

They came back and did all of the work exactly as expected and the end result is a very clean, professional looking upgrade in our basement. I couldn't be happier with Brandon Electric and I will recommend them to anyone who ever needs work done.

I owned my home for several years and had no ceiling light in my living room. My home was over 100 years old, so it was originally gas lighting. Manny placed 6 recessed lights in my living room ceiling and included a dimmer switch! Then he installed baseboard electric heaters in every room including my living room. He did an excellent job and I was very happy.

Wes Carver electric is fantastic! I have an older home with tricky projects and they were able to find a solution that worked and was reasonable.

We have always gotten great service at a great price from Frater's. They always take the time to understand what we need, and to suggest ways to deal with it. Looking forward to doing business with them again!

Responsive initially but fails to follow through or give requested information when asked. Was not awarded the work.

Grounded Electrical they started a basement project in our home and did not complete the work. Thomas was paid 90% of the job and went dark. Now we have to go to court. We reached out to the owner numerous times and no response.

I haven't had a need for an electrical contractor yet but when I do I will Call Light Source. I just moved into my home in Somerdale, NJ and today, April 13, 2020, I get a ring at my door. A guy tells me that a branch had fallen from a tree and my phone wire had fallen. He then gets a ladder from his truck and secures the wire back to the house. I offered compensation for his efforts but he refused. Just goes to remind us all that there are good people everywhere. Thank you Light Source for hiring people with character.

We recently had Rich and his crew install outdoor lighting for us. Their price was reasonable and they completed the work as promised. Initially, we had a problem with the lights not working properly. They immediately followed up and they thought it might be the transformer that was overloaded but they wanted to be absolutely sure before incurring the expense of a new transformer. The crew came to the house several times and by process of elimination ultimately determined that it was a transformer issue. This is one of the few contractors we have had who diligently followed up until the issue was resolved. Very professional and courteous. We will always call RMV for our electrical needs.
