Best Electricians in Philadelphia, PA

Reached out to Electrical Solutions to install a Tesla Home Charger. Since my breaker box was near capacity, the technicians offered to do some slight modifications to avoid installing another breaker box. They were quite professional and got the job done in a timely manner. Unlike other companies who offer coupons with stringent stipulations and disclaimers, Electrical Solutions honored a coupon for 1st time customers with no problems!

we used jdog for many smaller jobs at our home in paoli. buck and everyone was very accommodating.

We had a long list of items to take care of in our new house including adding some lighting and outlets, installing dimmer switches, and putting in a new switch for the kitchen light. This group of guys did a great job for us, were very friendly, and were very reasonable with the price.  I will definitely call them again in the future.

ELECTRIC ISSUES!
With specific electric outage switch issues throughout the new (but dated) place (ie kitchen, dining room and bedrooms).
I thought I was being Punk'd - I haven't even unpacked!

BASED ON A REFERRAL
Called HIGGINS ELECTRIC - I spoke to Theresa (so nice and solution-oriented), who put me at ease and ultimately dispatched some of their best electricians, Krista and Bob!

Krista and Bob both came (after confirming every step of the way via text or call/ their arrival, next steps etc)... masked, helpful, kind, friendly- PROFESSIONAL -- straight to the point.  Like CSI-Where's this issue!? What did you experience, etc They both went to their detective work. Very thorough, asking questions and checking outlets and overhead wiring, panels, etc.

THE SOLVE/RESOLUTION
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon identified a a random switch outlet in the condo that was rigged to control all those rooms (who knew?)
HIGGINS ELECTRIC TEAM soon updated my outdated electric wiring: replacing my kitchen ballast and switch; swapped out my dining room fixture; and updated the master bed room light/ceiling fan with LED/remote control fixture!

THE SWEET SPOT
From being so very upset, frustrated and despondent about the electricity in my 1st new place, I was immediately transformed  to a place of THANKS AND APPRECIATION above and beyond! and loving the fabulous and functional updates!

I called Street Brothers because I was selling a house and wanted to get a several electrical issues fixed.  Steve was very responsive and helpful.  He came to the house the next day and started the work right away.  He found a few things that I didn't know about but that a home inspector would have cited as problems and fixed those too.  His prices were very fair.

Mike was really helpful and accommodating, He did a fabulous job replacing my electrical panel. Would highly recommend and hire again to do other jobs!

Electrical Plus is a very professional company. They called to confirm my appointment the day prior and again the same day to let me know they'd be a couple of minutes late. Jim, who came to do the work, was great! He explained everything to me and was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend and use Electrical Plus again.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW THIS MORNING.  Today I received a call from the owner Jeff and he advised me there was an inadvertent overcharge as he thought 2 GFI/Switchs and bubblecovers were purchased and installed during the Worker's visit.  He apologized and said he noticed it when he processed my payment today and reviewed the invoice.  His call and response was professional and the right thing to do.  He is correcting the charge error as well.  Therefore, I am satisfied with the outcome and appreciate his actions.

I owned my home for several years and had no ceiling light in my living room. My home was over 100 years old, so it was originally gas lighting. Manny placed 6 recessed lights in my living room ceiling and included a dimmer switch! Then he installed baseboard electric heaters in every room including my living room. He did an excellent job and I was very happy.

I scheduled an appointment with Wes Carver Electric for September 16; they called on Sept. 14 to reschedule.  I couldn't get an appointment until October 2.  I asked for 2 outlet replacements and an existing porch light replacement.  When I asked Andrew if he had two light bulbs on the truck for the porch light, he said he did, but they would cost $80.  Fortunately, I was able to find some of my own. Andrew told me I also needed work on the breaker box in the basement. He spent about 3 hours here, a lot of that time was spent in his truck writing up an incredibly long estimate, showing my costs could be anywhere from $7288 to $1122.  I chose the $1122 for the work stated above.  I've used WCE in the 2015, but never found them to be so expensive.  I'll look for another electrician.

Disorganized, condescending, poor workmanship and overpriced.

First I had explained the job to be done to the person on the phone when I made an appt.   On the appointment day  I had to call the office to see if they were coming as scheduled because they were 25 minutes late.  Second the electricians had no idea what they were there to do so they came unprepared for the job and had to run back to their shop for supplies &  they charged me for travel time to and from my home to go get  supplies they should have had with them.

When discussing the location of an exterior light I was concerned about where it was to be placed and was told it's okay Hun it will work.  I then was on my out to pick up an additional light  and it was suggested by the electrician that if I got the coffee he would get the Baileys and we could make our own drinks.  Seriously.

Third, the bill received was unbelievably high for the work completed and I expressed to the company that it seemed too high but received no response, although they cashed my check.

Unfortunately, lastly it wasn't until after I paid the bill that when one light installed was checked they had left the wires hanging outside the housing on an exterior light and never put in a weather seal.

Don't waste your time or money calling these guys.

George Marko is an excellent electrician and I highly recommend him.  He is professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable and fair.  

I recently had an issue that I was convinced would require me to rip open walls to fix.  George diagnosed the problem as a bad wire and found a work around that saved me hundreds of dollars and a lot of time.

George is someone you can trust in your home.

They sent a young man who did carpentry work to open up the opening and another who did electrical. My LG wall unit combo was installed beautifully! Nice work!

We had Lightsource install an attic fan for us almost 8 yrs ago. It has a lifetime warranty stated on our invoice. It is no longer working, so I called them.  It has been 3 weeks & I still don't know if he ordered the parts from the mfg like he said he would.  I have called & texted & he won't respond.  Beware if they do work for you & you have a problem. We'll never do business with them again.  I ended up doing his job, & called the mfg myself.  I guess I should've done it 3 weeks ago.  It would be fixed by now. I'll have someone else install it.

We recently had Rich and his crew install outdoor lighting for us. Their price was reasonable and they completed the work as promised. Initially, we had a problem with the lights not working properly. They immediately followed up and they thought it might be the transformer that was overloaded but they wanted to be absolutely sure before incurring the expense of a new transformer. The crew came to the house several times and by process of elimination ultimately determined that it was a transformer issue. This is one of the few contractors we have had who diligently followed up until the issue was resolved. Very professional and courteous. We will always call RMV for our electrical needs.
