Best Electricians in Philadelphia, PA
Rick's Electric is wonderful. I called Saturday night because our stove & outlets weren't working. He came Sunday AM, fixed the problem & our birthdays cake was baked with time to spare.

Two or three years ago we had solar panels put on our house and the place re-wired to hopefully accommodate a battery back-up someday. These guys won't push any technology they aren't 100% believing in. They recommend we get attic access to keep the conduit from showing outside and now we have extra storage space up there. From start to finish the work was top-notch and we were well informed of the progress. They use a monitoring company which makes it possible to see how much energy the panels produce so when people ask I can tell them in no uncertain terms it is doing what it was supposed to. We have also used the electrical contractor part of their company with confidence.

I recently used Live Wire Electric on one of my jobs in Glenside, PA . The job involved a bathroom renovation which needed new wiring for a gcfi and exhaust installation. They were professional, knowledgeable, and finished the job quickly. I would absolutely use them again.

Juan contacted us immediately after receiving our request for a quote. He and his team started the project within a week of us signing his quote. They completed the work on time. Juan stayed in touch with us throughout the project and always answers his phone! They did a beautiful job installing a shiplap wall with mantle and an electric fireplace and ceiling fan. They did a lot of electrical work for both the fireplace and the tv that was installed above it. His price was very reasonable and fair. We love the way it turned out!! We highly recommend MagicOne!

Paul did two jobs for us: installing new electrical service for an upstairs washer dryer and upgrading our entire circuit breaker box. He took time to review our project plans and answered our questions completely, and he responded to texts and phone calls immediately. He even came back to complete parts of the jobs that needed to be finished once we bought appliances. He has been in the business for 40 years and gave us an honest fair price. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Genti and Nori are great guys and are really good at what they do. They do a very professional job - even the inspector we hired before purchasing the house remarked on how good the electrical was. Also, very fair prices.
Highly recommend!

James Civello from JDC Electric came out to our house to look at a ceiling light in our kitchen. When he arrived he asked me if we had any light bulbs. I gave him the light bulbs we had on hand. He just changed the bulbs. He charged me $160 and said he would come back to change the light fixture if we still had a problem. The lights flickered that night so my husband tried to contact him. James Civello went off on him. He said he doesn't just change light bulbs and refused to come back to finish the job we asked him to do. He cashed the check the next day!

Someone from Electrical Wizardry just called me -- two days after their scheduled appointment, for which they were no calls and no shows -- to say that they didn't have my number, which was why they didn't call the other day. And yet they somehow had my number to call me today... When I told them we'd found different people to work with, the woman (apologies for not remembering her name) started talking over me, and then started yelling at me -- I couldn't even make out what she was saying -- so I hung up. Super unprofessional from start to finish.

Two people showed up with an attitude. $95 to walk in the door. Was told if they did anything like remove a wall plate, touch an outlet, anything, the charge would be $391.00.
I asked them to diagnose the problem and if the quote to fix the situation was reasonable I would have them do the work.
After an hour of disconnecting and reconnecting things, they had no idea the cause of the problem but proceeded to quote $2,000 to run twenty feet of wire up one wall, across the unfinished and down a wall to the non-working outlet.
When I tried to explain the fee was too high, one of them proceeded to tell me I was wrong and didn't understand their fee structure. I had to say 'no' three times before they would agree to leave.
Then I got a high-pressure call from someone calling himself a manager. I explained the problem and he turned into a used car salesman offering me lots of discounts. I had to fight to get him off the phone.

Would not recommend. We needed some electric work done in our backyard, most notably installing an updated electrical outlet with a weatherproof casing. Elvis and team came out to do it and it worked for a week or so. We called him 5+ times to come back and troubleshoot but he never picked up.
Eventually we had a separate contractor come out to fix and he pointed out Elvis never connected the ground wire (only the hot/neutral wires). For an outdoor outlet that could easily get some water damage, this was extremely dangerous and could've led to a bad fire. Basic electrical installation 101, and they failed. Would warn against using their services.
