These guys like what they do and they do it well.  I had a previously self-installed well-pump failure and they were out here in Cedar Grove the next day switching it out.  Eddie's heart is in the business.  He likes to take the jobs that help people out of a jam, instead of the big corporate construction jobs.  He's a good man, and the workmanship was high quality.  His son took the time to show me what caused my pump to fail and explain the solution in detail.  There was no price gouging, and the pump was a much higher quality part than the one I had put in myself.  I can't recommend them highly enough.

A water heater not making hot water is a pretty urgent issue in cold weather. ARC Plumbing was able to come out the same day! It was a tricky problem as it was related to an electrical issue, but it was clear that ARC Plumbing was going to stay with the problem until it was solved, even if it required working late. I'd definitely hire them again.

Hello everyone, Ken Bucher, who was the owner and CEO of Eagle Plumbing, was my grandfather. He was an extraordinary individual who seemed to make friends everywhere he went, even when he was working.

Unfortunately, in June of this year (2016), my granpa passed away from aggressive and sudden thyroid cancer; as such, we are in the process of closing his business permanently and we are referring and long-time and new customers to his equally superb plumbing friend Jeff Falls. I have been using the Whaley's for about 30 years, two homes, and three rental properties.  I have recommended them to many friends.  They always do the job right the first time.  Their pricing is reasonable, especially if you consider the quality of the work.  I have never had to every repair the same problem a second time, even 30 years later.  My only concern: what do I do when they retire?

This business was a pleasure to work with! I contacted the owner about a problem with my kitchen sink. He was so responsive. He was even able to fit me into his schedule the same day which was a blessing. He was knowledgeable, polite, and worked quickly. I highly recommend this business for repair needs.

Huge shout out to Pipetechs Plumbing Company in Raleigh! ! Highly recommend for plumbing problems :D  they not only worked me in for an estimate  (that was WAY less than the previous 7 companies I called PRIOR to them) But,  they also did the work within an hour and for so little  $$!! Not only that but, their customer service is amazeballs! ! KUDOS - so freaking happy right meow!  #wordofmouthhelps! PS- especially John - the guy who did all the work and Chris in the office!  I will be using y'all again real soon! !  My leak was two broken pipes causing hundreds of gallons of water to spew out of my yard! Very pleased with Bull City Plumbing. When my water heater went out they were quick to come out & take care of it. I found them to be very honest & upfront with me.

This update comes a few weeks late but, I believe (and I think Michael would too), represents an accurate depiction of events and a reasonable conclusion.

After about a month of not hearing back from Durham Plumbing and posting my review, Michael contacted me. He apologized and provided an explanation as to why he didn't respond. No detail here, other than to say it was a medical issue.

While it remains my opinion that someone should have contacted me just to say there would be a delay in a response, Michael claims he is essentially a one man shop in terms of office duties and I will take him at his word.

He also made a very generous offer, that also doesn't need to stated here, to try to rectify the situation and make it right. While I didn't take him up on it, I very much appreciated the sentiment.

We agreed that if in the future I needed a plumber, I would give Durham Plumbing another try. If that time comes I'll provide another update.

Our sink disposal broke and they came on the same day to replace it -- they were really friendly and easy to work with. Saved their contact info for future plumbing needs, would definitely hire again.

I paid over $200 to have kitchen faucet repaired. It was not fixed . It was actually made worse and broke off in my hand just couple hours after service. Unbelievably they took no responsibility and wanted to charge me to install another faucet that I provided. Use at your own risk .

When your wastewater system alarm goes off, all kinds of bad thoughts creep in.  I called around and there wasn't much help.  These guys started diagnosing the problem immediately.  They responded with the same sense of urgency as I was experiencing and helped me walk through the problem and then came out the next day to help.  They diagnosed the problem and set clear expectations.  Through every turn, they kept me up to date on the progress and costs.  I checked costs on the internet and these guys were at or below typical prices.  They worked every angle to make sure my system was up and running as soon as possible.  This isn't some large company, it's just a couple of guys who get it.  Highly recommended.

I was SO frustrated with my experience with ARS Durham; I'll NEVER use them again! I have to say that the phone personal were great at handling their end of the deal but the actual service was a joke! I was given a SIX hour window of time ( between 12 & 6) that the tech was to come out. I was told that they would call when he was 1/2 hour out. 5:30 pm; no show, no call. I call them. They have no answers but, 1/2 hour later dispatch calls me back to say the tech is running behind; he'll be out within the hour. 1 & 1/2 hours later STILL no show, no call. This time I call to be told he's 45 minutes out! 8:30 pm he finally shows up with an attitude, barely speaks two sentences. No apology, no explanation; checks the system & says there's a leak, it's out of refrigerant BUT he can't fix it because it's dark! Well DUH!! IF he had shown up in the daylight hours he was supposed to... perhaps he could have completed the task! Wanted to come back the next day to repair the leak & refill refrigerant to the tune of a $750.00 charge!!! I DON'T THINK SO!!!
Had a local Mebane service come out a few days later. Guess what?  They said they'd be at my house at 10:30 am; they we're there at 10:15! Found & fixed the leak, refilled the refrigerant and charged me $250.00 to do it! That's quite a difference in service and price! I'd NEVER recommend ARS Durham!

Contacted Michael and Sons needing urgent heating system repair on 12/15 and had first visit on 12/16. Technician diagnoses the problem and repaired that day - cost: $447. Heat worked for three days and then failed again on 12/19. Technician came back on 12/20 and made second repair, advising that a second part needed replacement, cost: $387. Now, the system has again stopped working on 12/22.

Not sure if the technicians they hire are just inexperienced, but this is far too many repair visits on a seven year old Trane system.

We had a leak and a major clog..... Blanton's dispatched Ian out and not only did he take the time to explain to us what he was doing but gave us helpful tips to prevent a major clog in the future. FYI the flushable wipes are not flushable in a sense that if they get caught on something or form a ball, you most likely will have a clog at some point! Feminine hygiene products are also not recommended for flushing. We are super thankful and highly recommend Blanton's!
