Best Plumbing Services in Durham, NC
Fast response and a thorough and efficient solution to a kitchen sink problem, plus advice on a few other plumbing concerns. Eric was very courteous, and of course he arrived masked and practiced safe social distancing. We would recommend After Hours Plumbing without reservation.

Excellent same day service. My well pressure tank switch went out and pipes froze leaving me with no water on Christmas. Ethan from Joseph Rose Plumbing returned my email right away and was at my house a few hours later (The only response I received after calling 10 plumbers).
He inspected all of the plumbing, water pressure tank, and the well and then diagnosed the problem and replaced a burnt out pressure switch. Excellent communication, pricing, and customer service. I highly recommend this young man and Joseph Rose Plumbing.

A good plumber was one professional I've lacked during our 17 yrs in our newly built home. Jayk's filled that bill just fine! Starting with owner Jason, and including Jose C. and asst. Efrain who responded to my need for a whole-house water pressure regulator-valve, the Co. was punctual, responsive, efficient, pleasant & ultimately very fair in their pricing... in short, TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL! So, I now have a plumbing firm to rely on in the future, and wholeheartedly recommend them for your consideration.

I realize everyone is busy but called today for an emergency situation and their voicemail says to leave a MSG but their next available appt is in 14 days. I like to support small locally owned businesses but for emergency situations, look for help somewhere else.

These guys have saved my home TWICE so far in 2020 with plumbing emergencies. The professionals that came were very kind and knowledgeable. Even during the COVID19 crisis, they are exceptional.

I had a curious problem with venting a sink and they were very helpful in understanding the cause, urgency and approaches. They have gained a future customer.

Our heat randomly stopped working at one of our rental properties so we reached out to Piedmont Metro for help! They had someone out the same day to not only diagnose but also fix the issue super quick! Very affordable & reliable! We'll definitely be using them again in the future!

We had a pretty substantial clog in our first floor sinks and toilet. Everything was backing up and giving off an awful smell. I put in for a quote on yelp and Wes got back to me with in 10 or 15 minutes and after a few quick questions he gave me a fair and accurate quote. He was at our house the next day took care of the clog, and showed us how to clear it should we have the issue again. I couldn't recommend RTP plumbing more.

Had them come in for a simple bathroom repair and they left rusted toilet tank bolts in place, when I specifically asked for them to be removed and replaced. Had to call and have have them come back to finish the job right. They have a lot of good plumbers that we've gotten in the past, so maybe he was just a bad one this time.

We have used CK's at our office and residence over the last 5 years. Chris and his crew stand out in their professionalism when it comes to response, pricing their services and products and basically doing what they say they are going to do. In the last several years CK's has replaced 4 toilets, responded to an emergency leak replaced 2 water heaters, replaced a sink faucet, plus preventive maintenance. In addition we have referred CK's to several business associates who have been very pleased. CK's Plumbing has always delivered for us.

I have mixed feelings about the service we were provided. Maybe we just caught Mr. Shelton on a bad day. I don't know.
First, the positive: we had two leaks that we could not turn off. Mr Shelton was very responsive when we called at night to set up an appointment. We opted not to do emergency service after we were able to control the leak to a medium drip. We appreciated that Mr Shelton was prompt in his reply and honest to say that if he came out the next day, which would be a Sunday, it would be considered an emergency service.
Although he said he'd schedule us for Monday afternoon, he actually came early which we also appreciated. So, bravo on that.
He quickly repaired the issue including replacing the faucet and drain stopper/flange and also let us know that something that we thought needed replacement didn't need replacing but simply repacking. That cost us less to do. So good on him.
The not so positive: he was a bit rushed. He fixed the leak and then was out the door. When we checked the work more carefully, we realized there's two leaks but now in different places. So we called and texted him. This time, no response until many hours later. In the interim, we fretted whether we had just been cheated out of an expensive repair.
Mr. Shelton did return maybe around afternoon. He fixed the two new leaks and then left again. Things seemed ok until I checked again carefully and noticed that only 1 leak was repaired and the other leak remained. So we called and texted again and again no response until one or two hours later when he returned yet again. Finally this time, he fixed all the leaks and we made sure nothing leaked before he left.
So for a relatively easy (for a professional) repair, it took Mr Shelton 3 times to fully fix.
Overall, what can one say?
Shouldn't we expect that a professional plumber should check his or her work thoroughly before moving on? And especially after he had to return to re-fix what he did, isn't it incumbent of him to ensure the fix is properly done so he doesn't have to return again?
I wish him success in his business. I hope it was just a bad day for him. It wasn't a very good experience for us--alas. :(

I have used Bud Matthew's Services for several issues since 2015 and have been extremely satisfied. The first time I used them in July 2015, they were recommended to me by a friend who lived in a Chapel Hill. Although their typical service area was not in Cary, they agreed to come out to address a complex issue that I was having with my AC unit. My house was under contract for sale and the issue needed to be fixed quickly and correctly. The technician arrived promptly, and resolved the issue so that I could close on the sale. In November of 2015, I had Bud Matthews Services replace my upstairs AC unit in my new residence. Again, they did a great job and were always on time, professional and tidy. And the pricing for the new unit was comparable to other quotes I had received. My most recent experience with Bud Matthews Services was for a punch list for a pre-sale inspection on my current house (yes, I am moving again, but that was always the plan). Noah scheduled for his multi-disciplinary team to come out and address every item on the punch list. It took several days worth of work, but the team was prompt each day and completed the work professionally. I even had a drywall repair in the ceiling - Noah's team indicated that they would do their best to repair it without it being too noticeable, but they said it is hard to make the repair blend completely. However, they did such a great job, that I cannot see where the repair was made on the ceiling! One thing that seems odd to me is the number of not recommended reviews on Yelp for this company. Most of those are positive reviews and - after reading those reviews and following my own very positive experiences - I cannot understand why those reviews are not recommended. No company is perfect, but I feel like I can trust Bud and his team to make every effort to do a good job and be fair with me.

This company and its staff (receptionist, office, owner, and service technicians) all quite responsive, friendly, helpful, knowledgable, competent, and seek to keep costs of services and repairs as low as possible. They responded promptly on several occasions during past month over holiday period for problems with sewer line back up. Each time they explained the causes (related to 65 year old lines), lowest cost approach and solutions, including free assistance from city, and suggestions to avoid similar problems in future. Owner took special interest in the situation. Highly recommended!

I need an easy repair to a toilet. Called the number and asked simple questions... do you charge for consultation, what's the earliest availability. I was given so much attitude by the person on the phone I hung up.
