Best Plumbing Services in Durham, NC
I need to have a hot water heater replaced and wasn't happy with the service or estimate from the first plumber that came out. I reached out to Mo Flow based on the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad I found him. He was quick to respond, efficient and the communication was great. Thankful to have found a great plumber in the area!

Great guy and very helpful! Told me how to fix the leak under my kitchen sink over the phone in about 2 minutes. No charge. Now of course I am giving this review having not actually had any on site work done. So keep that in mind but I will give them my business in the future if needed.

My pipes are old, darn it. Band-aids won't hold some of those suckers together anymore. Not Wednesday, that's for sure. Came home to a cabinet full of water under the kitchen sink. Yuck.
The next day, faced with the scary task of finding a plumber to call, I called, well, Mom. Yes, the one who has had a lot of experience over the years with such. She HIGHLY recommended this plumber and let me tell you. Mom was so RIGHT.
Phone experience: so warm and understanding. Despite them being booked, she managed to have a plumber to us within a couple hours. Seriously. Husband met him and was super impressed. As he emailed me: those pipes aren't going anywhere.
As if all that wasn't good enough, the price was less than $130!
Immediately following the repair and payment, I received an email receipt.
You need a plumber you can TRUST? Who won't rip you off? Yes, we did too and we got it!
Thank you Legacy folks!

Jeff has done a lot of work for me at two different houses in Cary, NC. He's very reliable, affordable and trustworthy. in addition, he is a lot of fun to work with! His specialty is replacing polybutylene pipe but he can do anything related to plumbing. I'd recommend him without reservation.
I don't see a way to add a photo to this review but I have a nice one of Jeff laughing...his natural state. I invited him and his wife to a party I had. That's how much I like him!

My water heater failed on the Sunday night before Thanksgiving. Since it was an Apollo tank, I also no longer had heat in the house. I had a previous quote from Dominion Energy as I knew the tank was getting old and I got a quote Monday morning from a plumbing company I had used in the past. I didn't like either quote as both said they would have to provide a tank with less heating capacity.
So I asked Acme Plumbing to take a look at it. After just a few minutes with Alejandro, I could tell that he was an expert in Apollo heating systems. He said he could get a larger better quality tank than what I had and they could install it on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Clay, Alex and Richard showed up with the tank. They worked all day on the project and the quality of their work was amazing. Clay did so much work even though he had a broken arm! The piping that Alex did above the tank is a work of art, so much nicer than any installation I'd watched on YouTube. Alejandro joined them near the end and insulated the pipes to the heating system which I did not expect. They never rushed even though they had probably hoped to leave early on the day before Thanksgiving.
They also noted that there was something wrong with my water pressure and discovered it was 90 PSI. They recommended that I replace the water pressure regulator which I did the following week. Alex did a beautiful job fitting the copper piping to the new regulator.
I strongly recommend that you use Acme Plumbing for any plumbing work you need.

It's no longer a pipe dream; Pittsboro finally has a plumber!
The first time I had a plumbing problem, I had to bring in a plumber from Moncure. Locating someone to come in was very draining. Thankfully, Full Stack Plumbing is here to flush away those pesky plumbing problems.
They're currently located in the old Chevrolet building next to Aromatic Roasters and Cackalacky.
They take care of leaks, hot water tank installation, tankless heaters, drain problems & more.

I contacted R&S for 3 different needs - replace a toilet, repair a garbage disposal and repair a cold water leak in the hot water heater.
Rob showed up on the date and time agreed. He was very nice, efficient and well prepared. He brought a good quality toilet with him, at a fair price. He quickly replaced the broken one.
The hot water heater issue was described as an over-pressure situation. Rob replaced a value under the house and a value (damaged by the over pressure) on the HW heater. Good explanation, no up-sell.
The garbage disposal was a simple (for him) remove a piece of metal jammed in the blade. Again, no up-sell.
My wife is very happy with the results and, to me, the price was right.
Will use again and recommend them to anyone in the Cary area.

This company has done a terrible job with arrival times, communication, and customer service. Seeing as these issues have been going on for a month now, I've lost patience this week. They were out here on June 20th to do an evaluation of my water heater replacement. I agreed with the entire estimate for materials and cost, plus I was impressed with the technician, Anthony.
On the 28th, they arrived an hour and a half late so that meant they timed their arrival to arriving in the middle of a national conference call, which I was on disrupted and rude to the people I was on the call with. Turned out they'd been given the wrong water heater by Lowe's and didn't double check it. The whole installation turned into 7 hour job, extended because of the hour and half it took for them to go get a new water heater. Management questioned Anthony and the other guy staying out here, even suggesting they leave us without a water heater, since going to pick up a new one would take so long. The extended job also meant my boyfriend had to come be at home so I could leave for another event. Then I had to rush home so he could leave. The job just went on. Finally, as they were leaving around 8pm, they showed me new water stains on the ceiling of my bedroom, which had leaked through the attic, during the installation. We spoke about them coming back to touch it up, how they'd need an electrician and additional device which Lowe's left off the order, and we entertained the idea of having them install a ceiling fan if an electrician was going to have to come out.
The next day, I got a quote. Less than $1K for all - adding the floodstop sensor and having a ceiling fan installed. Thought that would be doable. Arranged for them to come back and repaint on the 30th. Offered paint which the previous homeowner had left in my home, although I could not verify it matched. We'd see how it dried. Within the next week, I called to schedule the completion of water heater electrical part installation.
They came out last Thursday the 13th and were late again, although not as late as before thankfully. The electrician was not provided enough information or materials to do the ceiling fan installation. Between the new plumber and electrician estimate for the job, the cost had now expanded to over $1100 and now I was told travel time was included in labor. This was a new cost estimate. Steve and Chad did a good job on the floodstop. Called the next day, Friday the 14th to ask about getting an estimate in writing since costs were ballooning, dispatch wasn't communicating, and every time I tried to get information people were confused, plus nothing was scheduled to fix the paint. I was then blamed for providing the wrong paint.
Today, the electrician arrived, but there was no call ahead, per my request. Turned out he'd need to cut a hole in the ceiling and claimed I'd have to pay to have it restored. I'm sorry, but if you put an extra hole, you should fix it. He and dispatch said Id have to pay for it. I contested that policy and they agreed to cover that. Relief. Then it turned out a switch wouldn't be able to connect with the fan blades after all. More news. Job wrapped up well -- good end result work, but I still had no idea when they'd come repaint my ceiling. Realized 30 minutes after the electrician left that he took the handbook and fan box with him. I called to get those materials back because I never gave permission for them to be removed. Finally received them back over 4 hours later, but apparently the empty box was destroyed. When I expressed upset about this because the hours delay also delayed me leaving town, as they had been aware I need to go see family, they hung up on me. Finally, got an answer on the ceiling restoration when I called back and when I was frustrated at them not verifying they were able to reach my boyfriend for the Monday installation, the dispatch receptionist's response was: you've been rude to everyone and we've left messages for the appropriate person. Nevermind her snappy tone in every convo.
Pardon me. They didn't provide info for me or their techs (they were very upset and distressed on the job because of this), underestimated costs, were not prepared with the right materials, and did not manage their time well. Any time I was confused and worried, they'd chastise me. How would I not be upset? Never use this company. Never. I love how efficient it is to have electrician, water heater, HVAC, and restoration in one company, but there is too much discord between the departments and apparently dispatches don't understand listening to their customers and providing full notes to their techs.
On top of that, they give their techs mobile tablets to accept pay and the techs hardly know how to use them or the tablets are hardly responsive to the need for the work. It's terribly inefficient.

Excellent choice for a locally-based company; fast and friendly service.
While doing a regular maintenance on our water treatment/softening system (we are on well water) we noticed that the water heater that serves half the house was leaking from the bottom. Since we have owned the house since 2003 and we had never replaced it, and the house was built in 1992, it was most likely the original installation. Based on reviews, and their initial responsiveness, we contacted Dr. Drain to do a free estimate. April was very pleasant and attentive on the phone and arranged to have Ryan assess the needs and return in a matter of days to do the installation. We were very satisfied with the service from start to finish!

Horrible experience! They didn't do any work but demanded that I pay them $150. The absolute worst company I've ever dealt with!
1820 Garner Station Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27603
Jason Hogg, the technician came out to my house on a Saturday to put in a shower/tub faucet. He had to cap off the pipes so he could come back to do the install on Monday. He scheduled the appointment and told me he would be back on Monday at 10am. I called Monday at 8am to ask for a detailed bill, which by the way they do NOT provide. They told me I didn't have an appointment. Turns out someone didn't do their job I was not on the list. Long story short, no plumber ever came to fix my shower. Cody and Brandon the dispatchers did not follow-up with me to let me know they were late and may not be able to come. Finally at 5:15 I called them back again and was told no one would be coming. And they do NOT schedule a time for arrival for a service call.

If I could leave less than one star I would. Once they finally made it out it took days to get an estimate, I actually had to call them for it. Once I paid the over $500 bill I didn't hear back from them. Finally I called them Again and they told me I hadn't paid and I had to show them my bank statement to prove I did. Once that was resolved we scheduled to do the work on the 24th. They show up while I'm at work on the 21st and call me asking why I'm not there. I tell them we scheduled for the 24th. I call back the office and confirm the 24th, then call back on the 23rd to confirm they will be out the next day on the 24th, Guess what, the 24th comes and goes with no Bell Cow. I call them and they say the weather was to bad to go out, It wasn't even raining. We schedule for the 29th, the next day Available, for 12-2pm. I call them on the 29th At 11:48 to confirm they will be making it out to my house they say yes they will be there by 1pm at the latest... Can you guess what Happens, They Don't Show up. So since July 31st I have not Had A/C because they can't do anything right, and they still have not resolved the issue.
6020 Oak Forest Dr, Raleigh, NC 27616
They got here and gave me a quote that's unreasonably high. Although I have communicated my issue clearly beforehand and they should be able to give me a quote without having to be here. In the end I had to pay for the dispatch fee while fixing the issue myself. Genuinely bad experience, feels like a trap.

Estimate for small plumbing Bathroom kitchen remodeling sinks. Not honest w time frame. Then excused delay on a storm. Then said job did not fit their company. Would not recommend . We had major project in mind based on their response. Do not use
