CK's Plumbing & Backflow

I have used CK 3 times now and they are truly an awesome company. They installed two water heaters in a small crawl space and they were quick, water heaters work great! Recently, I had a leak at the main well line and they came out within 48hrs and fixed it. The tech that came out Andrew was awesome friendly and knowledgeable, he even took time to give me a quote on another job I need done. Great customer service, great prices, great company!

Responsive, does great work. I'd recommend them to anybody. I called one day, they were out the next day. Did a great job!

I called three or four different plumbers and each one told me how difficult this job would be. I then called CK's plumbing and they came in and did the job without any problems. They wore footies into my home and new enough to take them off before going outside for more tools. Class act they were.

I recently relocated to Raleigh and had some work done on the house that required the carpenters to remove the toilet to lay down a wood floor.  It was obvious that the wax seal had deteriorated and needed to be replaced.  I researched plumbers on YELP and found that CK Plumbing had excellent reviews. I called to make an appointment and everyone I dealt with was helpful and friendly.  Sean and his coworker showed up at my house on schedule, re-placed the wax ring and re-seated the toilet. The charge was what was quoted.  I won't hesitate to call them again for more work, or when I redo my bathroom.

They came on time and helped me fix the common problem here in NC.  With a water heater in the attic, exposed to high temps and sometimes mediocre air movement, our water heater was mis-behaving.   The pilot light would go out on hotter days, and the temp regulator/gas valve was failing.   I installed a new thermocouple to fix the pilot light issue and these folks replaced my water heater's gas valve.   I can get some more years out of this 6 year old 80 gallon water heater!

I bought a house in June 2020. Since then I've had CK Plumbing do the following.
1. Install a garbage disposal on a sink that didn't have one before
2. Clear my main sewer line
3. Replace my main sewer line once it was discovered that it had several issues that caused the clogs.
4. Replace my hot water heater

I've compared multiple companies each time I've needed something done and they're without a doubt the best value / quality ratio in Raleigh. The owner stayed in my front yard until 8pm making sure it was graded correctly with their equipment after the main sewer line replacement. Highly recommend CK Plumbing.

These guys are great. After using our family friend longstanding plumber for everything and having to wait forever for him to get to us, getting CK's out here was quick and painless. They replaced a cracked toilet quickly and cleanly.

These guys are great! My hot water heater went on the blink and I called my regular plumber and they told me it would be a couple of days. I then called CK's Plumbing and they sent Nick out within 2 hours. Nick was very pleasant and professional. Fortunately it was just a pilot light that had gone out, so easily remedied.
Nick also gave me some helpful info and thoroughly examined the state of my hot water heater. Also, the cost of the service call was very reasonable.....$39. I highly recommend CK's....and I now have a new plumber! A special thanks to Nick!!!

We had a pipe burst on Christmas Eve and they were the only ones to answer our call on the day after Christmas. The owner was out doing emergency calls all day. They were responsive, arrived early, and super helpful. Resolved the busted pipe quickly and didn't overcharge.

Guy came out looked at my Well and pump. Sent a quote I accepted. 7 weeks later he said the parts came in. He arrived to do work only to say he got the wrong pump and then claims I have no water in the well and to call a well driller. I got another plumbing company who says they can do what I need,I have water and that cks isn't licensed to even touch a well. They will do the work next week at a lower price. Cks wasted a lot of my time and charged me a service call for their errors.

I had an excellent experience with CK's plumbing. I had a toilet needed to be reset and was slowly leaking through the downstairs ceiling. Olsen was extremely courteous and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions through the process of replacing the wax. I would definitely call them again if I needed anything else done.

We have used CK's at our office and residence over the last 5 years. Chris and his crew stand out in their professionalism when it comes to response, pricing their services and products and basically doing what they say they are going to do.  In the last several years CK's has replaced 4 toilets, responded to an emergency leak replaced 2 water heaters, replaced a sink faucet, plus preventive maintenance.  In addition we have referred CK's to several business associates who have been very pleased. CK's Plumbing has always delivered for us.

I hired CK Plumbing to fix an issue with my sump pump. Their technician was professional and courteous. The issue I have with them is two fold. First, I was charged approximately $600.00 to replace a float switch for the sump pump. This item generally cost between $20-$50. The job took approximately 1 1/2 hours. After paying the bill, I looked up the average cost of this type of work. The general estimates run between $100-$150.  I then reached out to CK to discuss why was I charged so much. I was told their service manager would have to get back with me. When I didn't hear back, I contacted them again. Still no contact from service manager. I repeated contacted them, a total of 6 times over a 3+ week time period before I finally heard back from their service manager. He said it is a line item charge and the charge is what it is. I informed him of what information I found out regarding the cost of the item and the expected cost of the work. I told him that what I was charged was extremely he high. He said their charges are what their charges are. I told him that I think this is outrageous.  I generally only provide positive reviews and very seldom negative ones. This is an exception. I would have scored it lower, however, the technician who actually did the work was their only saving grace.

They quoted me $167 labor to replace my garbage disposal because it was leaking. I felt that was high but agreed. After some research, I found that was on the high side. They spent a total of 30 minutes in my home.  

I feel they may have taken advantage of me.

Everyone was amazing - from our initial phone call in a state of panic (leaking water heater in the attic), to a rapid response to stabilize our situation, to a new water heater the next day.

I contacted CKs based on the Yelp reviews.  The two men that arrived on time were pleasant, knowledable and considerate of my home.  They had the right  tools and fixed mY tub issue expediently..  I was would highly recommend.

CK's Plumbing replaced my waterline, and I couldn't be happier. Their pricing was competitive & well worth the quality, professionalism & job well done they delivered. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable & went above & beyond to ensure I received the very best. If you have any plumbing issues, this is the Team to call.

Chris and Ray are the nicest repairmen I have ever worked with .
They came a little early ( but called ---We missed  the call ).They are light hearted fellows that appear to look for the Joy in Life .
They figured out the least expensive way for our Problem  to be fixed.-----AFTER they told us how to fix it ourselves if we wanted to do so .
This company installed our unit initially and I am so glad we chose them back then.
The oldest outfit in the Area is not always the best ---or it may change owners as happened with a certain Heating and Air company in the Triangle .
It's always good to look at Recent Reviews as ownership and policies may change over time .

There are top-notch plumbers, and then there are miracle workers. Chris of CK's Plumbing is both. We were dealing with frozen pipes on Christmas Eve, and he came to the rescue. He is an expert of his craft, highly responsive on a day that it would typically be impossible to get in touch with anyone, and a great communicator. Most importantly, he showed us a kindness and a generosity of spirit in taking care of us that we will never forget. Our plumber for life!

I can't speak to the quality of their work, but I called CK Plumbing for an assessment on my water pressure and was very pleased with the experience.  They only charged me $45 for about an hour's worth of inspection, pressure readings, a walk around the building, etc.  It was a thorough look for cheap that provided me what I needed to go to my HOA.  I appreciated the honesty about what they thought they could do, quite literally turning down business they didn't think would be worthwhile for me.  I'll certainly be calling them if I have another issue.

We had a hot water heater replaced by Nick and Juan today.  They did an outstanding job. They were prompt, courteous, professional, explained everything to me before they did anything and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. I highly recommend them to anyone else. When we have plumbing needs in the future we will be calling on Nick and Juan and CK's Plumbing and backflow!

I would not recommend this company to do anything gas line related.  Maybe they are good with plumbing, but they do not know how to do gas lines.  Frequent failed inspections, not showing up when they say, etc.  my kitchen was totally remodeled in 2 weeks but the gas stove has been going on for 3 weeks.  Totally ridiculous!!!

CK was very professional and responsive.  He replaced my hose bib very quickly, and the price was as quoted.   He was the lowest quote I got over the phone but it was still fairly pricey for the time it took to replace.   I suppose I could have fixed it myself, but if I would have run into a problem or the issue was more significant than what it was, I could have easily been in over my head, so I will consider it money well spent.

Chris and Ray just came out to replace an outdoor faucet. They were both professional and very nice! Will definitely use them again!

CK Plumbing recently replaced my hot water heater. Of the 4 plumbers I contacted CK plumbing provided the lowest total price on the job. They were able to come out the next day after contacting them and install the water heater. They got the job done in a little over an hour and have had no problems so far with their work. Really pleased with the whole experience.

Shaun and Juan were incredibly efficient and thorough in installing our whole-house water filter.  The estimate went quickly, and they explained what they went into the quote.  When they came to install the filter, they also provided guidance on how to use the filter, installed two shutoff valves and a bypass to the filter, and explained why we didn't need pressure monitors before and aft of the filter.  All in all, I am extremely happy with the service, the lack of leaks under my house, and the thorough job they did installing out filter!  I will definitely call CK's Plumbing the next time we need a repair or installation!

They replaced a toilet for us.  They were on time and very professional.  Even wore the shoe covers to protect the floor.

Highly recommend!  We have had problems with other plumbers, but CK's was excellent!

Our water heater went on the fritz and the crawl space was wet. We were fortunate to get in touch with Nick the Friday before Memorial Day. He came out the very next day and was able to haul away our old water heater and install a new one he provided. This was the only team we found that also didn't require two people for the job and had the best prices plus $50-$100 off coupons on their website. An added bonus is that Nick called when he was on his way and showed up a few minutes early! He did a thorough job and recommended a company for drying out the crawl space, which came out within a few hours. Very glad to have found this company during an emergency-especially over the holiday weekend.

I called for help, since no water was coming out of the hot side of the faucets. The representative said that they usually don't serve this area and so gave me advice over the phone. After I followed her advice, the hot water was flowing again in minutes. This rep, taking time to help out free of charge, showed me that she cares and that she knows what she's talking about. I don't encourage yelpers to call for free advice but rather to give these guys a try. They definitely inspired confidence in me.

We had used CK's in 2016 when our water heater needed replaced and they did a wonderful job.  Here we are in 2022 and over the weekend we sprung a toilet leak in our downstairs bathroom and didn't realize it until morning.  The shut off valve wouldn't even stop the water from flowing.  I called them at 8 a.m. on Monday and by 1:00 p.m. here I am writing the review.  Matt and Chris were awesome.  I couldn't recommend them more highly!!

CK Plumbing recently replaced replace the flow valve and one of my toilets because it wouldn't stop running they were prompt came right away after I called them very efficient and I would recommend them highly any any plumbing problems anybody has

It took longer to get an appointment with them than others but I waited because I had used CK's before and trusted them.  They charged $195 just to show up at my house, during regular business hours on a week day!!  That is at least 25-30% higher than their competition.  The service was average, it was a simple faucet replacement.  I cannot recommend them.  Shame on me for being a loyal customer.  One star for taking advantage of your customers who trusted you.  Your competition is providing this same service for $95.

I'm surprised by the number of positive reviews on here.  I got my toilets fixed systems replaced and they charged me $175 each.  After they left I felt like I just got robbed.  Sure enough I looked up prices of toilets and I could of bought 2 brand new ones for what I spent.  Was considering using this company for our property management company but ill be staying away from CK plumbing.

These guys were awesome.  I had them lay a gas line from the house out to a new fire pit that we had built.  These guys went above and beyond, by not only laying the line, but hooked up the entire fire pit (at no extra charge) and were great to work with.

The crew at CK's Plumbing are great - they responded quickly, were extremely thorough and professional in their diagnosis and repair - and great rates.

Definitely recommending CK's to everyone I know!

Great people. Great service. I was a bit late the first time we met but they still took care of the appointment. They then put a fast line in a few weeks later.

Responded to my call, set up an appointment, showed up for the appointment, was friendly and answered questions, but never followed through with an estimate.  I called twice and was assured I would hear back but never did.

These guys are truly amazing. I've had Chris & team out to my house 4 times in the past two years for various plumbing related needs. They fixed two frozen/burst pipes for us and replaced our water heater. (It's been a rough few years for us! Ugh.)

Chris has continually gone above and beyond for me and I am so happy to have found my go-to plumber. Chris was able to make time on a hectic Saturday afternoon with a few hours notice to come out and fix our burst pipe so that we could have water to the house. Impressed!

Stop searching and just call CK's!

Kyle and Anthony were very nice and professional. They came to help fix my hot water heater; which was not producing any hot water. After some trouble shooting they discovered a leak and I needed a new gas central valve on the heater because it was cracked; they also replaced some old pipes. Once the part came in another plumber returned ( can't remember his name but he was awesome too) to install it, which took no time at all. After all of that I was getting warm water, but not as hot as it should have been; so I gave them a call back. The third time was a charm because Kyle discovered that the valve that was mixing cold water with hot water as it enters your home ( so you don't melt your skin off) was no longer functioning ( he even showed me so I could see with my own eyes, it was also over 25 years old). Once that was replaced everything was perfect!!! Everyone I spoke with over the phone and all the folks that came out to my home were AWESOME and so friendly.

A leaking water heater just as the temperature drops.  

Cold showers are great in the summer, but not so much on a fall or winter morning when the temperature outside is anything below forty.

I dodged a bullet.  My water heater was leaking.  I thought it just needed cleaning so I called CK's with a special coupon where they offered a water heater flush and a general check of the plumbing.  I should have known it wouldn't be so simple.  In fact, I knew the water heater was old and nearing the end of its useful life, so I wasn't surprised when I got the bad news.  Still, I was hoping to squeak by for a while; but when I weighed the possible timing of not having hot water, there was no real decision.

Chris at CK's quoted a more than reasonable price and we agreed on a scheduled time.  During the entire process of checking out the plumbing on the initial check, he was polite, straightforward, and cleaned up as he went from task to task.  Along the way he noted things to be replaced immediately, others that could wait, and still other things that were fine.

The only negative was actually having him show up during the time we agreed for the water heater replacement.   His earlier scheduled jobs ran over, and only after I called him, did he call back and give me an ETA.  I appreciate the fact he's the owner and the repairman all in one, and stuff happens that can throw a schedule off; but as I have to schedule around my job for things like this, I do expect some simple courtesy.   And when he forgot some of the parts for a couple of smaller repairs and had to come back again a couple of days later, well . . . .let's just say I understand . . . but it didn't thrill me.  He did apologize for that, though.  Sincerely, even.

Still, CKs did a great job overall, and I'd likely call them again even as hope I won't need to.

CK's Plumbing and Backflow is our new plumber!  Through the 36 years we've lived in Raleigh, we have dealt with a couple of plumbers that were good.  When we had an emergency last week that caused us to have to shut off water for the entire house, we called them first, but were not their priority.  CK's was able to schedule us much sooner.  Nick and Kyle found the upstairs leak and fixed it quickly and professionally.  I was so impressed that with each step of the leak discovery process, Nick called me in to show me what they were doing.  Very professional team.  We will definitely use them again!  Their prices are fair, too!

CK Plumbing is a very professional and fare priced plumbing service.  
I called to have four toilets serviced for my employer.  I was able to email them my request, and they responded rather quickly.  The tech was out the next day and got the toilets flushing with the power they once had.  He was able to do the four toilets very fast and he left the place clean.  

Our company will be using CK's Plumbing & Backflow, LLC again.
