Very impressed with this company after their appointment this morning, installing two new outlets for the new dryer I bought. I had a very friendly electrician named Eddy who did a fast job and gave me a small discount after I asked.

Wow  !  fantastic    service.   i  called  for  a   couple  of    electrical   problems in my  apartment.    burnt  out    outlet and   no lights in  back  rooms.     the   electrician  arrived  exactly on time, as he   said  he  would  when i called  the night   before.    he  completed  the    job   in  about   20   minutes.    he  replaced the    burnt  out  wall  unit,   plugged  in my   AC    restored   lights  in  back  room.     fast,   efficient,   clean  worker.      whether  you  have a  small or  big  job,  this    is  the company  to  call.    the  price ????    perfect  !!   very  low  .

I called with a question regarding my heavy upstairs neighbors possibly knocking electrical wires loose as they pound and stomp because it seems to cause our ceiling fan lights to go on and off. The receptionist took my information and took the time to call an electrician in the field to ask about the issue. She called me back in less than five minutes with the electrician's response, which I am now forwarding to my landlord. I haven't used their services yet, but I plan to in the future. Contracted F&A to replace alot of outlets/breakers in my house which is pretty old.  Great communication, came next day, worked fast and got the job done right. Will use Fayed again in future.

These guys installed an electric charger for us. I got a quote within a few hours virtually (big plus). They came out in a day or two and knocked the job out. The work was very clean and the charger works perfect. Another major perk was flexibility for payment options.

I'll definitely call these guys if I need another job done!

update 2 years later:  they are now calling themselves NY Empire Electrical Contracting.  Don't be fooled. They suck.  An outlet they installed has never worked in my mother's apartment.  She called them, they came, pressed the reset button and left, then sent a $200 bill. Really.

update 7 months later:  their work has now failed inspection three times.  they send someone different each time.  it never ends with these guys.

Poor communication with the client and with each other, no supervision, just awful.  What should have been about 2 days of work took at least 6 visits, I think more, but I lost count.   I realized belatedly that they had to be watched every minute.  If there is a way to do something wrong, they will do it.

One time I had asked them to change a switch and they instead changed the bulbs.  Really.  Then they left.  

Another day, somehow they misunderstood my super, who told them they could not channel the ceiling (it's concrete).  They thought they could not channel the wall, which makes no sense, as they had done so everywhere else throughout the apartment.  Without notifying me (the client!), they made the attached mess on the walls using wire mold.  Luckily I came home early that day!

I had no problem with the demeanor of the people on the phones, but they don't add anything to the process.

G&G is ok.  They have what you need but are very expensive.  The staff is not very attentive and you can be there longer than you need to.  However they are one of the only specialty stores in town.
