I am extremely satisfied with Mike's services! I chose Mike over other recommended electricians because he came to my home to see the project (relatively small - I needed an outlet for a washer/dryer in a closet) before giving me an estimate. Other electricians gave me much higher estimates over the phone, they understandably didn't want to trouble-shoot and take the time to figure out a solution. Mike is a meticulous worker, he planned the job out in advance, asked for more information and had me email pictures to minimize the chances of any surprises (or extra holes in my walls!!). In the end, the cost of the job was less than his estimate, which was already quite reasonable. He didn't charge me for any of his prep/planning time. He provided me with his certificate of insurance and license number. Communicating with Mike was easy, he arrived promptly at the appointed time and cleaned up after the project. I would strongly recommend Hitchingham Electric!

Tim is simply fantastic. What a find! I've had him come twice now. In both cases an outlet had failed. Tim was very friendly, gave me his cell number, fixed it with no mess, was incredibly courteous. I will definitely be calling him any time I need some electrical work taken care of around the house.

Wow. I had a neighborhood handyman come out to look at an electrical issue we were having with the outlet our microwave plugs into. He did some troubleshooting and found that we needed to run a new wire from the circuit box to the kitchen. It took him a solid 4 hours to figure it out. The work he said needed to be done would cost well over $2k and take nearly a week to run the wire, spackle, repaint, etc.

Because that seemed like a lot to shell out, I contacted a few other electricians (see another review of mine for a bad experience). I emailed NYC Electricians and they were very responsive, even over Labor Day weekend. They gave a time window for when the electrician would come out and Ralph and George came out at the start of the time window. Ralph did his own troubleshooting and found the problem was actually with wiring to a GFCI outlet. He did some rewiring of the outlets and in about 45 minutes had everything done and working at a small fraction of the cost the handyman quoted. Ralph was also respectful of our apartment, taking his shoes off instead of tracking dirt from work boots all around the apartment, and he cleaned up all the debris from cut wires etc too.

Lesson: use real professionals. When we need electrical work we'll definitely call Ralph.

Gaston did a terrific job for us. We needed an outlet relocated for a new above-range microwave and he did the job professionally and quickly.

When the appliance installers came and decided that they didn't express their desired location properly, Gaston came back and relocated it again at our convenience and considered it a follow-up to the original work. He didn't pull a shady move and charge for a second job. He also worked with our carpenter to help take apart our kitchen cabinets. We understood right away that Gaston puts a higher premium on doing the job correctly than making a short-term profit.

We highly recommend Gaston and Nair Electrical and he'll be our go-to guy for any work we need done in the future.

Great experience! Got a quote from John in minutes that was a bit lower than the rest. He came by the next day and installed two lights quickly and safely. I had sent him the links to the fixture and he had looked them up online the day before so he would know what to expect. Very communicative throughout - he let me know way in advance he was running a bit behind, but then didn't end up being late at all. And he didn't mind explaining every step in the process so I could learn a little bit. Highly recommended.

Called several times, left messages telling them I needed work done. Never heard a peep. At least call people back to tell them you are too busy.

I hired Eric and his team to put in new outlets and light switches in my rental apartment.  They were totally professional, diligent and did an excellent job.  Also, they are nice guys.  I will definitely use them again for future jobs and highly recommend them.

Scott was very communicative and able to come out on short notice, no hoops to jump through. He saw the job through until it was totally fixed and remained available and responsive during a small hiccup with the project.

I reached out to a couple of electricians in the area to install recessed lights and a box to install two fans for my apartment. Yoni was the only one that came to see the place and provided me a quote, answered all my questions and truly assessed the place to make some recommendations which I sincerely appreciated.
Yoni and his team were very professional and able to accommodate my tight schedule and the job was superb. It was just a great experience and I felt very comfortable. He will definitely be my electrician moving forward.

I hired Ilya and his partner to install two ceiling fans, 4 overhead lights, two sconces, rewire a 220v outlet, power a non functioning outlet, and move two additional outlets.  They worked hard and fast, explained what they were doing and why, behaved professionally and were reasonably priced.  If I ever need electrical work, I would without a doubt hire them again.

I hired Eugene to do several things I wasn't capable of: patch the holes in the walls and ceiling, and after paint both. He did it perfectly, and extremely fast. Moreover, he helped me to assemble the new furniture that just arrived, and all for reasonable price! The money paid were worth the time I saved and quality I received. Needed an electrician last minute for a neon chandelier install for one of our clients because our initial electrician backed out last minute. Usually when we mention high voltage or neon most electricians would back away but after talking to Avi over the phone about the process and materials we would need he hopped on the job! He efficiently provided the electrical work we needed to complete our job and he was truly a life saver! we couldn't have asked for a better person to do the job! What wonderful things can't I say about Katie?! So prompt and efficient and got right down to business! We had a great chat with her while she took care of our very old and falling apart sofa. She gave us options as to what she could do to fix the problem, including any additional costs or time frame. She has a plethora of skills and I'm eager to utilize her skills again with other home repair projects. She is comfortable and friendly but wonderfully professional and quick too. Her skill set is very advanced and I trust her willingness and ability to attempt any repair, or give you her honest opinion as to what will/won't work. I highly recommend Cooper!!! I had a fixture stuck to my ceiling (literally would not budge). Within 24 hours Cooper was at my apartment with a real pro!! The electrician sent was able to take apart another fixture in my apartment (similar to the problem fixture) to then figure out how to get the original  one to move ... so a bulb could finally be changed. No damage to the ceiling or fixture.

Gladiator Electric replaced our old recessed lights and ceiling lights. We contacted them and a few days later Mike came and gave us quote.
On the day of the work, they came and quickly replaced the lighting fixtures. Very quick work and we are happy with their work. Very professional. We highly recommend these guys.
