When you call an electrician you expect to be misguided and ripped off. It's like having heart surgery without medical insurance. You cringe and anticipate the final bill. You expect to have more work done than originally expected. You look to hock jewelry to pay this surgeon of voltage. That was far from the case when calling these guys. Mike quickly diagnosed and quoted an estimate on cost. Repair was done within 2 hours and quote was on point. It was like having your favorite uncle come over to fix the situation. Three adjective to describe... Fair, honest and funny. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

I was going to hire New York City Electricians for some work that I needed done on my apartment, but the person I spoke to over the phone (Charles) hit on me while scheduling the appointment. It was very unprofessional and inappropriate. I will not be using this service.

I cannot recommend John and JEM enough. My partner and I had some serious problems with a ceiling light- we had tried to replace it with a ceiling fan only to find out that our electric is from before 1960s. There were no ground wires and our previous electrician snapped a wire trying to figure out what was going on and then created a quick fix that shorted out when there were power surges across nyc due to a storm. We had no power in our kitchen and a possible fire hazard on our hands.

John was quick to respond, assess the damage in the pictures and give us a quote that was an extremely reasonable price! He'd worked with old buildings before so the job took no time at all, plus since we're renters he wrote up an invoice for the work as well as an assessment of future work that the light needs, so that we could charge it to our landlord and he could follow up with the rest of the work. So smooth and easy! And he was organized, on time and had every tool possible for the job. Seriously, if you need an electrician I don't think you can find a better one x

Danny is knowledgeable, pleasant, reliable and fair. He quoted me a fair price came when he promised and did the work neatly and correctly.  He did outdoor plugs, indoor smart plugs and outdoor lights. I would use him in the future without reservation.

Came same day to repair breakers, was fast and responsive. Chris did a great job and I will hire him again!

Absolutely love the work that Erick and his team at Eco Electrician did on my bathroom fan. This fan used to have to be plugged into an outlet to use like a dive-bar. It was annoying and very frat house-y while Erick was doing another job for me, I ran this by him and he blew me away the results from today's install. Crispy clean work, as usual from Erick. Super amazing with response and stellar craftsmanship! Check out my other reviews for Erick and his team, they've done a lot of great work at my house.

Yani came and did a fabulous job. We had lost electricity to the entire second floor and half of the first floor. The circuit breaker popped and would pop again when turned on. Yani checked everything and found a short on the first floor. When he fixed it the floor worked but not the second floor. He went room by room and had to go into the attic to fix everything in the second floor. He knew his stuff, cleaned up after he and his assistant, and was a true professional.

Ilya and Michael were amazing. They responded to my request immediately and came within an hour to install 2 ceiling fans and a chandelier. They were super efficient very polite and professional. Highly recommend them!

I asked a handyman to install my ceiling fans, but once he opened up the fixtures he realized it was beyond his capacity and that an electrician was needed. A friend recommended Don. I called him and he came quickly for a free estimate, then got me into his busy schedule a couple days later. He arrived when he said he'd arrive and charged what he said he'd charge. I will be using him in the future, for sure.

Wow--the technicians from G&R completely blew me away with their punctuality, professionalism and knowledge of their work. What I thought would be such an electrical headache turned out to be taken off my shoulders and fixed in a breeze. I recommend this company to anyone who's looking for electrical work done and has been burned by unprofessional, unreliable companies in the past. They came into my home, at the time they specified, with covers on their shoes (a pet peeve of mine is when service providers stomp around in my shoe-free home) and provided me with a clear and concise work estimate. They didn't just hand me a piece of paper and leave me to decipher it myself, but took the time to explain what needed to be done and WHY, and what materials and time it would entail. I could tell that safety was their number one priority throughout. As a mom of two little ones, I appreciated the sense of care and caution. When all was said and done, the owner himself called me a few days later and asked if I had any further questions or issues. I had none, and appreciated that extra touch. Kudos, G&R, I have already recommended you guys to my friends, family and coworkers, and you have a repeat customer right here for life!

Did great work. But my wife had to handle payment while I was away. And he charged her TWICE what he quoted me. He also created another issue by moving our dryer in front of a window we need access to. When I reached out to him about this. He just relied thank you. Would NOT recommend.

Nic and Odin were dispatched by Handyma'am to help me with some household tasks and I couldn't be happier with their work. Nic painted a sliding door and transformed its grind to a glide. Odin hung 18 pieces of framed art. They both secured an IKEA bookcase to the wall to keep it from tipping over. PLUS they were friendly, answered all my questions, and gave great advice for future home improvement projects. For context, I'm a petite single woman who needs a stepladder to reach just about anything, so the tasks that took Nic and Odin a few hours to complete would have taken me weeks outside of my work schedule, and they wouldn't have been completed nearly as professionally. Handyma'am passes the vibe check with flying colors and I'd recommend them to friends and family in a heartbeat!

Gladiator is a class act. Highly professional in every way. I hired them to install security cameras around my home. Mike notified me of every cost and detail and answered every question i had about available options. Believe me i had plenty of questions. Well he was highly knowledgable and we finally decided on a brand and proceeded to scheduling. They showed up 5 min early and the guys worked the entire day. They were all very respectful and clean and by the end of the day the cameras worked perfectly and mike spent time teaching me how to operate them and all the associated apps. They are going to be installing a sound system in the house next and I will use them for all my electric needs.
