I contacted Gene's Water & Sewer to obtain a bid to repair cracks in our sewer lateral which were revealed during a sewer line scope. Craig returned my inquiry in less than a day, and returned an estimate to me within an hour of our discussion. Because of the large scope of our repair needs and high cost, Craig walked me through another option for repairing our line - work that could be performed only by a competitor company. He provided over 30 minutes of thorough and helpful guidance, including explaining an alternative solution that could only be performed by his competitor. Gene's is clearly exemplary in its professionalism, knowledge and customer service. Hire Gene's!

We had a broken bathroom extractor fan that rendered our main bathroom totally unusable. My wife tried to extract it and midway through discovered, to our despair, that the fan wasn't extractable with the tools and leverage we had. Folks here were SUPER nice, came same day so we could shower on ZERO notice, and were extremely fair in their pricing. It was a tight squeeze and a mess, and they saved our asses--we are so grateful.

Several friends recommended Dad's. A toilet in my house was running on and the shutoff valve at the wall was stuck, so the only way I could keep it from running was to shut off the water supply to the whole house! Pretty inconvenient. Within hours of my call Dad's sent out a couple of guys who replaced the warped flapper that was causing the leak, and also fixed the line to a bidet attachment in another bathroom that hadn't been working right.
There is something weird about their phone. They list two numbers on their website. I can't remember which one worked, but the first one I tried went to some weird answering system that wanted me to jump through hoops to reach them. I hung up and tried the second number and got through right away. So have a bit of patience, try both numbers, and you'll get good service.

I purchased a new hot water heater through Centerpoint Energy back in May. It's been 6 months and everything is great - no issues. Centerpoint Energy used Urban Pine Plumbing as a subcontractor to deliver and install my new water heater. Terell (2nd generation plumber) removed my old water heater and installed the new one in a timely and efficient manor. He was very professional and knowledgeable. If the rest of the employees are anything like Terell, I would highly recommend Urban Pine Plumbing.

We had wonderful service from Mike and his crew! Very friendly and knowledgeable. We had two old toilets removed and two new ones were installed. Highly recommend My Plumber for all your plumbing needs!

Service is good, but labor rates are no longer competitive with others in the area. $90 diagnostic fee on top of normal labor rate just to show up. Use somebody else.

I wish I would have called these guys to begin with. Poor researching on my part. They offer a free consultation/ diagnosis and were about $50.00 cheaper then the other place I called with the $25.00 fee just to come out.
Our plumber Steve came out once, diagnosed the issue and came back two days later to work with our schedule to alleviate the monster slow drain problem-o we've had forever.
Major bathtub drain problem and bathroom sink that he worked wonders on. We can't wait to shower again now that the standing water problem is down the drain literally!
-Excellent and friendly customer service.
-Plumbers call to confirm with an ETA
-2 Hour windows so not waiting all day
-24/7 Service, but after 10:30pm it might be more, but at least they are available.
Steve was fun and took care of the problem quickly and explained what he was doing.
Would certainly recommend to anyone in need.

Have used Bob's Plumbing two times in the past 6 months. Once for a water heater replacement and once for a main water line leak. Both times Bob showed up very quickly and did fast but PROFESSIONAL/GOOD work. Couldn't have asked for better service and quality of work. Thanks Bob!!

My air conditioner suddenly stopped working - figured that out after I had been cooking all afternoon and house felt really hot on a 90 degree day. House was 80 degrees - Called Soderlin and they had a cancellation, was here within 30 minutes and one hour later from the call I made to them, I have air conditioning - Super nice guy (Jeff) came out, gave me some tips, changed an electrical component and viola, house is cooling down as I type. Thank you so much!

They ruined my bathtub and didn't even apologize!! They came out on short notice to fix my shower drain, but in the process left a quarter-size chip in my bathtub. I called to ask if they could fix it or reimburse me. They asked me to send photos but the next day their response was simply to text me our technician did not cause that damage. Ridiculous and rude!!!

In May of 2015 MSP Plumbing Heating and Air inspected my HVAC system (purchased on groupon). The tech told me everything was great, I didn't need to have it looked at for another few years.
In April of 2016 they offered me a complimentary inspection. They came out in May of 2016 and found a multitude of problems with my AC and furnace (both are less than 10 yrs old). The second tech (I think they sent a second guy because the first one was not convincing enough), red tagged my furnace because of CO problems. He told me considering all the things that need fixing, I might as well replace it, and luckily they've got a special going on so I can get my AC replaced too!
I thought it was weird that over the course of one year my HVAC system went from great to unsafe to operate and replace immediately. So I contacted another company (High Road which was recommended by Structure Tech), and they inspected the furnace and AC and found some minor things that didn't really need to be fixed, but if I wanted to... and also, that the furnace was not leaking CO and should not have been red tagged.
I feel that this company is not operating ethically, they are using scare tactics to get people to unnecessarily replace their HVAC systems. oh yeah, and like some other people said, they really over price their reparis!!

I recently got rid of my trusty old Lennox Pulsejet that was in the house when I moved to MN in 1990's. I do most of my own furnace maintenance, and in the early 2000's, I found that the heat exchanger was cracked. Since this was covered by the Lennox warranty, I had Apollo come and replace it. I thought the labor charge was a little steep, but accepted it. Several days later when I first tried to use the furnace again, it would not ignite. I was going to look at it myself, but I wound up calling Apollo instead since this was obviously related to the recent service. It turns out there was a connection that was not properly fastened. I had some heartburn with being charged another service call, but paid it and vowed never to call Apollo again.
Fifteen years of reliable, trusty service followed with only minor issues, mostly replacing the flapper valve and spark plug. Yearly testing found the new exchanger to be airtight. There was nothing like hearing that rumbling purr coming from the basement on a cold winter night. However, after 20+ years, t'was time for a new furnace.
Okay, so you're probably wondering why I'm writing this...well, after removing the Lennox, I disassembled it to see how things held up, including cutting into the exchanger to look for corrosion (very little). This is when I found a lot of horribly bad workmanship by Apollo's service tech. Unfastened ground wires, missing bolts, missing washers, etc...seriously? Most notably...missing bolts on the exchanger manifold, which could easily have resulted in a CO leak. While it's possible, that the offending technician is no longer there, this story still needed to be told. If anyone at Apollo reads this, bring it to the attention of your present employees as an example that, yes, quality does matter, and a shoddy job will come back to haunt you.

Hi there, giving them 2 stars as the tech that came out very nice and polite and the company did respond pretty quickly to my dispute. Was hearing some strange sounds from my boiler so asked neighbors who to contact that was affordable/trustworthy. Was referred to Forrest heating. Called number for them and was surprised that they had answered as Cities1. They explained the had purchased Forrest Heating and he was now working for them. Set an appointment to have it looked at the next week.
Rep came out and was nice and respectful and had me crank up my heat to see what happened in less than ten min he let me know the unit was heating too high so the High Limit Temp sensor/modual was bad and would run out to the truck to call hiss boss and check and see how much it would cost to fix. After talking to his boss he came back in and let me know it would be about $700 to fix. I asked for a breakdown of the cost and he said he would have his boss call back to give me a breakdown. He also warned me that his boss would likely try to sell me a new boiler given mine was a bit old. Given the cost I said I would have to get another opinion before making a decision.
Called another group and explained the condition, part needed and the cost which was met with a laugh. I will admit we didn't discuss the specific product number but I informed him it was a Bryant unit from the 1970's and gave home the model and he stated the part itself should be no more than $100-150 and takes 10 min to install. He then asked if I had turned the temp up on the sensor and turned it back down as it can be common for them to stick? I tried it per his instructions and now everything is working fine again, no $700 fix.
Fast forward a month later a bill shows up in the mail (which I fully expected) for $205 for the 15 min visit (which I did not expect) Emailed the company given the cost and being less than satisfied with the $700 quote for a sticky switch and the trying to sell me a new boiler for a minor issue and to their credit the owner got back to me right away. Politely tried explaining to me that $205 is the minimum charge for a house call and that their rates are competitive and even for small jobs they have to bill for more time to make it worth their while. We ended our conversation at that.
In conclusion, I'm giving them 2 stars as they came out on time and were responsive to my dispute, but I would not recommend them based on their trip costs, parts cost, calculation of time billed for and in my opinion an emphasis on getting you to do the most expensive things not trying and explaining other alternatives.

I called and spoke to person who answered the phone and asked to get a quote on a bidet toilet seat installation. The guy didn't seem to understand what that was so I explained it to him and then he said he needs to come out to give me an exact quote. I then said I'm just trying to understand what the range could be so I could save both him and myself some time. He then said I should find another plumber.
I said, well it's just common sense here because why spend our time with an appointment only to find out the range would be too much. For example, I told him if you tell me typically it will cost $400 then I'd say alright well don't bother with an official quote because that range is too much for me. However if it's between 50-200 I'd be very interested.
He then hung up on me.
