We had a persistent problem with clogged kitchen sink, which no amount of drain cleaner would resolve.
Did some sleuthing around based on customer reviews, and was grateful that GSD was not only well-reviewed but able to come the same morning I called.
They got the drain unclogged quickly at the agreed price (no surprises) and had some tips for drain issues to watch for in the future.
Very satisfied, and of course a big help to have this annoying problem dealt with so capably before the holiday season.

We hired Jeremy to come and fix the main water valve in our home and we think he did a great job. Just about a year prior, we had the same job done by a different local plumber and it wasn't very long before it was leaking. Ever since Jeremy came to fix it, so far, so good! His rates were very reasonable and fair, especially when considering how much care he took in what he was doing.
Hire Jeremy! You won't be sorry! :)

I called about replacing my water heater and he was very rude, said he wasn't interested and hung up. Highly do not recommend.

We just had Cichy's replace a broken main line sewer pipe, and wow! They were awesome. The whole process was easy, honest, and efficient. As a first time homeowner, we were really worried about doing such a big project right after purchasing the home (bad luck on our part). We got several bids from several companies, and Cichy's was right on with the best price, but also had a good timeline, and Mark was super helpful and nice. I am really glad we went with Cichy's. It was painless and they put our whole yard back together for us - something the other companies said would cost extra or they wouldn't do. Thanks to the whole team!

Purchased a new gas range from Best Buy. These guys installed, according to my city's specifications and handled setting up the permit inspection. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend and use again!

I had McQuillan come out for an annual check on my boiler system (new in 2011). The tech quickly stated that my flue was reading over 500ppm of CO (I never saw the readings). He said there was no chance of repair and that the only solution would be to turn the heat off immediately and to send a salesman out to quote me for a new boiler. This tech made multiple appeals to the safety of my family and essentially used these scare tactics to believe I needed a new boiler. I had multiple CO alarms in the boiler room that had not gone off. Quote for a standard efficiency boiler came out to over $14,000! I made a few calls and quickly determined that this pricing was several thousand higher than it should be.
Thankfully, I decided to have a second opinion come in for a new boiler quote. When that second company came in, he said that I absolutely didn't need a new boiler. Instead he recommended that a tech come out and do a proper check and maintenance. When the second tech came, he not only confirmed that I didn't need a new boiler, but also showed me that the flue was actually only reading 20ppm (totally normal). He confirmed to me that his measuring equipment had just been sent in for calibration in the last two weeks as well. He did clean and make some minor adjustments to get the reading down to 6ppm of CO.
All of that to say, I do not trust McQuillan nor their ridiculous pricing. Do not be enticed by their $69 check up as they will use it as an opportunity to scare you into buying something completely unnecessary for much much more.

B&D was very responsive when I called them to fix my furnace which had gone out recently. Julie explained everything, scheduled a time for the repair technician to arrive and followed up after the service was completed to see if I was satisfied. Vaughn arrived on time, was knowledgeable and very helpful. He completed the repair, as well, provided estimates to me as requested for additional future service that he suggested. It was a very good experience and I definitely use their services in the future.

We hired Voda Plumbing as our plumbing when building our new home. Being a one man operation he was slow to get things roughed in. Always seemed to complain. At final phase he did have a helper (he was tired of the drive which was over an hour for him. He personally told me he would never had taken the job if he had paid attention to the address when he bid the job). He never roughed in the hose bib so when he put that in the siding was already done. You guessed it he just screwed it right though the siding. After closing on the house my wife says to me that she didn't have any hot water on her side of the sink in our master bath. After checking it out myself ,I discovered the hot and cold lines had been crossed. I called the plumber and he told me he wouldn't drive over an hour to fix it and that I should just do it myself!!! What??? Back to the hose bib I fixed that myself too. In the powder bath he didn't set the pedestal sink center with the drain line so the sink and light above it don't line up. We'll never use him again and don't recommend him to ANYONE!!!!

Same review as the other 2 ladies . Had not even came out to my home and was so rude and disrespectful. I have been a customer with HSA home warranty for 2 years this was my very first time using there services. I called on Saturday 11-11-17 to put in a services request for leaking pipes . I was unaware of how the warranty works since this was my first experience with them after no return call for several hours on Saturday I decided to call Devine's Plumbing myself I did not get an answer I left 2 messages on Saturday for a return call ? No return calls so I waited to call them back on Sunday again no answer. I left 2 more messages for them to return my call ? At this point I decided to call HSA to inform them that no one had called to set up an appointment with me regarding the leaks ? The customer serv. rep explain to me the process that since it was the weekend I would have to wait 48 business hours for someone to return my call. So I waited all day Monday 11-13-17 again no call I decided to call again once I was home from work which was around 5:15pm No answer I again left a message for someone to return my call NOTHING. So I decided to call this morning around 6:30am and someone answer the phone at this point I was just happy to hear a live person I explain to him what has been going on since Saturday and that I was very frustrated that no one had return my calls and schedule an appointment to do repairs ? The man was so rude and disrespectful he told me he was frustrated because I was calling his phone at 6:30am ? . I explained to him I was not expecting a live person to answer I simply wanted to leave another message he in return told me he did call me yesterday and left 2 message I ask him what number did he call ? He loudly stated THE NUMBER HSA GAVE ME I ask him what number was that ? He said he did not know because he was not at home. I checked my voicemail and no messages were ever left from Devine's Plumbing I called HSA to explain what happen and I did not think it would be a good idea to send him to my home and my service request was cancelled and a new work order was created.

Gary Dwallibee came to my home on February 28, 2012 to diagnose my washing machine. He determined the problem to be the pump and proceeded to take twenty minutes to open the washing machine door--charge: $89.95. Gary called later that day to inform me the estimate to repair my washing machine was almost $300. This did not include the $89.95 I had already paid. He told me he would call to schedule service when the part came in. Thinking this estimate to be a wee bit high, I began to call around. I found a reputable repair shop that completed the repair for less than $150.
I called Aabbott Ferraro to indicate that I had the problem solved--service no longer needed. The woman that took my call was very friendly. However, less than an hour later, Gary Dwallible called me, and he was fuming. Indignantly, Gary lectured me on cost of doing business, restocking fees and commitments. I apologized for any inconvenience I may have caused, and explained that I was not in a in a financial position to absorb a more than $200 overcharge. I indicated to Gary that the $89.95 I had already paid, for what should have a 5 minute visit, should more than cover any expenses incurred. In a huff, Gary demanded that I never call Aabbott Ferraro again. I am not sure if he thought this was ever a real possibility, or he was just venting at a former customer.

Colin's Plumbing LLC was called to investigate a foul smell coming from a floor drain/vent in my parents' utility room. While clearing the area to make it easier for the serviceman to work, my mother found a pound of rancid meat she'd forgotten she'd taken out to thaw. She let the man know this was the source of the smell and that she thought no work was needed. He asked to smell the meat and told her he didn't agree. She told him again that the meat was the cause of the smell--she was sure of it. He told her the meat was NOT the smell and that her house was filling with methane gas, making her think there was a dangerous situation that needed to be addressed. Still not comfortable, she asked for an estimate on the work that he proposed needed to be done, which he ignored and proceeded with his work without giving her any idea of what was to come. When all was said and done he handed her a bill for $1,119 for replacing some loose PVC and the cover on the drain. She paid him immediately.
I contacted him to get information about what was done. He told me he didn't give her an estimate because I was three calls behind and I needed to get to work. Providing a range of costs is something that could have and should have been done. I believe he didn't do this because he knew how much he was going to charge her and didn't want to give her a chance to object. I asked him why he didn't listen to her thought that the meat was the cause of the smell, to which he said he agreed that could have been the case. I believe he lied in this answer, wanting to cover up that he told her the house was filling with dangerous methane gas and making the job seem absolutely necessary. I asked him what he found when he jackhammered into the floor, and he said he found loose PVC and a misfitting cover. This was either a lie to me or to my mother when he told her that the vent was installed improperly. I believe this was a lie as a whole, because the vent isn't even located in that room.
I believe misleading sales tactics were used to justify a job that the customer was objecting to in order to remove as much possibility of cancelling the job as possible. The work that was done didn't seem to have any issues. The sales tactics and ignoring the customer's concerns and findings were the biggest complaints.
We have contacted the business to see if they're willing to review what happened on the day of service.
