Best Plumbing Services in Minnesota
Overpriced and unprofessional. Quite frankly I'm astonished at the lack of professionalism displayed today. We called him for an emergency several weeks ago and he was able to help (at a premium price of course, because it was 6pm and after hours). He also gave us a quote for several things we knew we'd need to do. It was extremely overpriced and we ended up being able to find friends to help us for free with a lot of it, but there were a few things left we knew we'd need a plumber to do. We're having other work done at the same time so the water main was unfortunately not accessible. I did not realize that he would need to access the water main to unclog a drain tub. I still don't see why he would need to do that. I was putting the baby down for a nap when he arrived, but left the door open with a sign for him to come on in. He does not give you an arrival time until 30 minutes prior so there wasn't much notice. Instead of calling me when he thought there was a problem, he interrupts my husband who works from home, and is clearly in the middle of a virtual patient care visit. He throws a hissy fit tantrum that rivals my 2 year olds, and storms out yelling about how he's seen red flag after red flag and you can find yourself a new plumber! I'm not sure if the red flags he's thinking of are the fact that we didn't have the money to waste on his 4-5k quote (the most expensive one we got of the 3 plumbers we had out too). I have had a lot of contractors working on our houses and have never encountered this level of unprofessionalism. Ever. Do NOT recommend.

I used St. Paul Pipeworks for a leaky shower. I first tried Benjamin Franklin plumbing and they wanted to replace the entire thing for $1000! This was insane so I asked around and got a recommendation for St. Paul Pipeworks. Professional and friendly staff, they were able to fix the leak for ~$300. Will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs a good, honest plumber in the area.

We hired Josh to install a rangehood above our stove. Josh pretty much had to start from scratch -- the previous owners had left an old liner in the space but there was no light or fan. Josh did all the research to find one that would fit into the customized space, shopped to get us the best price for the unit and installed it within two weeks of our first call to him. He was extremely professional and did a great job of communicating with me throughout the process. I will hire Josh again AND recommend him to my friends!

Had a plumbing nightmare with a larger local firm. Unless you finally ran out of patience and would threaten to cancel the job they wouldn't call you back.
Had a leaky utility faucet and saw the online reviews for Jason with American Plumbing right in my area. He did dynamite work and is a really awesome guy. Nobody wants a plumbing issue. But he will get you out of a pinch fast and professionally. High quality plumbing and customer service!

During my kitchen renovation, Tim's quality plumbing did just do a great job installing the sink, faucet, dishwasher and range (twice). They went above and beyond by helping me plan for the job and getting the new range in the house and getting the old one out, specially Josh. Keep up the good work!

I wish we had called metro instead of Deans last year! Mitch came out- on time, having called ahead to let us know he was on the way, and did a great job! He was polite, knowledgeable, and tenacious. He showed me the cause of the issue and gave me prices before proceeding when the first fix wasn't the actual cause of the trouble. We are very pleased with his diligence- it was fixed finally and he had all the supplies in his truck so he didn't have to come back!

Had toilet and plumbing issues. Mark was at my house within 20 minutes. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. He got the job done and I am one happy customer!

Hopke came out to my home to fix a leaking shower head. Got it fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. This was an issue that looked easy on YouTube but in reality was much more involved and a different fix. Would have been a day of misery for me to try this on my own.
Will definitely call them back when the next crisis occurs!

Excellent service!! We started off with a Nest smart thermostat install. Later found out there was quite a few problems due to the old contractor. Rumpca went up and above to install new wires which we found out the old contractor had cut and replaced with an older two wire thermostat. Then when we had everything wired in to check for heat/AC. The A/C we found out wasn't working because of a connection problem. Rumpca did a great job of getting back to us and fixing it right away in professional manner. I would definitely recommend Rumpca to anyone who might have multiple issues or has no idea what is wrong with their system. They answered all of our questions and stayed available for any other questions we had.

I am writing this review in a bit of disappointment for Matt's Plumbing Solution's.
This review comes from my experience and my brother as well.
I headed a bathroom remodel which was in an older home, 6x8 bath. The initial bid was $5290 to remove a toilet and sink and radiator, replace lead drain pipe and install a shower head line and reinstall the components.
When the tear out was done and ready for plumbing changes, Josh incorrectly measured the drain height to the stack. It was believed that the stack was going to need to be lowered and with a change order, it would cost $3500 more.
When I was upset with these findings, his attitude was very unprofessional - basically stating something along the lines of well I can just wrap up what has been done and you can have someone else do it in a laughing sense.
When you are the customer facing thousands in repair, this is not a joke. You are not making light of my blood pressure at this point.
When the change order came, I never noticed the statement for the drain-line change.
The tub drain ran over to the sink, and then to the stack in series.
So while I didn't notice this in the change order, $2390 of the $3500 was apparently for a 3 foot section of drain removal and replacement. All verbal communication was about a stack-pipe change out. When I proceeded with the work, they then found that they incorrectly measured it, and we would not need to change out the stack.
Great. Moving forward, I had already paid up $4500. By the time all the remodel was at the point of tiling, the tub was not level. I call them up and Josh said he leveled the tub and the tub was not leveled with the room but the world.
I know how to use a level. It was clearly NOT level. He said he was going to swing out to take a look at it, but never did show up. Mind you, I was getting pretty upset with the services by this point anyway because I did not like his attitude.
I moved forward, and once tiling was done, and it came time to put the plumbing back into place, I was told that $3587 was due up front, and $790 after final inspection. RED FLAG -
This difference reflected the shower hardware AND the apparent drain change from the sink and toilet. $2390 for 3 ft of pipe!
All in all the plumbing work would have been $8877 for a 6x8 bath. Outrageous.
So, we spoke about this and I called out on the ridiculousness of the $2390 for 3ft of pipe, which Matt was not being at all forgiving on, and that ended the work with this group. Forced as I was to pay the $2390 difference, I went to town completing the rest of it myself.
I should have listened to my brothers warning.
In his experience, his wife and him had MPS add a water softener system. In which was hooked up completely wrong, failing to separate the softener system from his sprinkler system, and also took all day to do the install...
I really did like Matt, he seems to be a more personable guy, but Josh is unprofessional. They will nickel and dime you, and holy crap do they over charge. Be warned.

In early November I had Ryan Plumbing and Heating come out and inspect my furnace and water heater as I am selling my house. They looked at my water heater and fixed a pipe and inspected my furnace and said it was in good working order. They even signed a piece of paper stating that. Last week my furnace went out on one of the coldest days of the week. I learned that my furnace was FAR from good working order. It was dirty and plugged and needed to be cleaned. On top of that they put the furnace panels on incorrectly. Had they of done their job they would have told me I needed to clean my furnace (which I would have hired them to do!) and the $1000 furnace fix that I encountered could have been avoided!! When I called them to tell them what happened and how they did not inspect the furnace properly and what that had caused me they said they would get back to me. After several days and no return call I called them back today. I had to explain the situation again to someone else and then the person on the phone said that they could reimburse me for 5 minutes of the repairman's time for him not doing his job. It was insulting AND a very expensive mistake for me to have put my trust in this company. As a born and raised eastsider (that would like to keep some business in St.Paul) I would NOT recommend this company due to poor customer service and poor quality of work. I hope the owner of this company reads this review so they know how their brand is being managed and represented.

No idea of the quality of this service as they never showed up for my scheduled tune up appointment. I waited over 2 weeks for an appointment and when the person didn't show up I called them. First I was told I had the wrong date. I did not have the wrong date. They called me back and said they had to reschedule my appointment but had FORGOTTEN TO CALL ME. We had cleaned out the furnace room and were awaiting the results of the inspection to determine if we could do another home improvement or if we'd need a new furnace in the near future. They REALLY caused problems for us by doing this! I wouldn't waste my time with this company as they are obviously unreliable and have little concern for anyone's schedule other than their own. There are better providers out there who will put their customers first.

MDC just did a job at my property. They made the situation worse and left a mess. The damage that MDC did caused flooding and ceiling damage.
When I spoke with the owner this morning, she was both unprofessional and unapologetic.
I asked if she would be coming to fix the problem or if I should find another vendor to clean up her mess. In response she called me a profane name and hung up on me.
