Drip, drip, drip...dang! It was Sunday morning and our downstairs shower faucet wouldn't stop dripping. I thought (or hoping) the handle just wasn't shut all the way...alas, that wasn't it. After perusing some DIY youtube videos, I determined (or hoped) it was the Kohler mixer cap that needed to be replaced.

Confident with my diagnosis I set out after church to City Mill in EB...only to be told they didn't carry the part I was looking for and to try Ferguson's in Waipahu the following day as they were closed on Sundays. Off to Home Depot at Kapolei...struck out again, and was again told to head out to Ferguson's. I then called Lowe's and the plumbing rep told me they didn't carry the part I was looking for (although he was pleading his boss to start carrying it since he has fielded calls about it...and seemingly always on a Sunday)...but he told me to try out Hawaii Pacific Plumbing Supply as he said their prices were lower than Ferguson's.

My wife and I headed out to HPPS Monday morning and dealt with Kevin who was extremely helpful. While acknowledging that the Kohler Mixer Cap for Pressure Balance Valve is normally the culprit for leaky shower faucets, he suggested I replace the entire unit with the Shower Pressure Balancing Unit as well. He even scooped up some silicon grease (for free) that I need to install the part properly.

Went home, installed the part, and wham, bam, thank you ma'am! Leaky shower faucet doesn't leak any more. Thanks to Kevin and the folks at HPPS. They have a huge selection of parts...with friendly, knowledgeable service. What more can you ask for?

I called this company because another plumbing company had scheduled an appointment and then called half an hour to the time they were supposed to come to reschedule. I was waiting for 2 and a half hours already! Called Louie yesterday and promptly showed up on time this morning at 9am. He and his son are very professional, they did a great job and wore their masks the whole time. They also put glue on my drain pipes because it was leaking water at the joints. Will be using them again to hydro jet my pipes! I highly recommend this company, thanks guys!

My master bedroom sinks were leaking so I found Plumbing Kings Hawaii in Yelp. Their response time was fast and they are based in Ewa Beach where I live. Tony came and assessed the problem and said that the valves had to be replaced. He told me the estimate which was reasonable. He told me the cost of the hardware needed which was better quality than the originals. The work was done fast and efficiently. Tony was very friendly and professional throughout the process and I was happy with the work done by Plumbing Kings Hawaii. Thank you Tony.

Ok- I rarely give bad reviews but this one pulled at my heart strings. First of all- it was refreshing that someone answered the phone and I didn't need to leave a message. Richard the owner answered and I described my problem which prompted us to make an appointment to come and view the problem. He came on time and with his helper and I was happy. The sad part is that he never said goodbye (I was in a zoom meeting towards the end but had my adult son on standby) nor gave me a quote or followed up with me when I called back so I never knew if the job was too much for him to handle or he just wasn't interested at all so I can't tell you about quality or value. Oh well...maybe one day I'll find out.

I have been impressed by the service and standards exhibited by Andrew and Taka at Pro-Rooter. I have worked with them personally as they have assisted several residents in my building.

Highlights:
1. RESPONSIVE. Will answer their phones or actually call back within a reasonable amount of time.
2. EASY TO SCHEDULE. These guys are always busy, but we've never had an issue scheduling drain service...even when we've only given them an hours notice!!
3. RESPECTFUL. They listen and offer solutions before hand. Clean up after themselves AND follow directions.

At the time of review, expect to pay about $100/hour for drain service.

Saturday morning and the shower drain is clogged. The products recommended by the local hardware store did not work. I called a drain specialist that I used in the past. no answer, no voice mail option. I did an online search and noticed that Elite had excellent reviews. I called and was immediately connected with Kristian. After a short discussion, he scheduled me for a same day appointment. He arrived on time and quickly resolved the problem. He was meticulous, so there was no clean up for me. Lastly, he was very helpful with advice that will help me avoid a repeat service call. When I have another plumbing  need, my first call will be to Elite. Mahalo Kristian!

Mark is the most competent plumber we have ever used.  We used him to change a water heater, which he did with ease and speed. His prices are so entirely fair, that he is very popular. Then, one night my water in the bathroom faucet would not turn off!  I was lost.  So, I called Mark and he showed  up with the fix pronto.  It needed a regulator.  I didn't know homes had regulators until then. If you need a plumber, you will not do better than Mark.  He is professional, experienced with Hawaii homes, reliable and very reasonable to afford.  You will not need another plumber, ever.

3-20-2021  The awakening from a high pitched sound coming in the middle of the night for days was worse than a mosquito buzzing in your ear.  The sound was coming from the toilet's fill up valve in the tank.

I finally gave in since that piercing sound kept ringing in my ear even after I flushed the toilet to stop it.  For fear of eventually becoming deaf and more sleepless nites I gave Roto Rooter a call at 5:33 a.m.  That dreadful continuous blaring went off at 11:58 p.m. last night and again at 3:02 a.m. this morning.  I also informed Floyd that the upstairs shower was leaking.

Hopefully from tonite on I'll get a good night's rest.  I'll tackle the shower leak another day.  Let the weekend begin.

They gave next-day service for a non-urgent problem.  Mark diagnosed the problem immediately, and although he had to run out to get some supplies that he didn't have in his truck, he fixed the problem.  Mark is very friendly, and he took proper PPE precautions while in our apartment.  His prices are quite reasonable.  I definitely recommend this company.

Noa came out on Tuesday 12/17/13, after looking at the issue he left to go pick up his kids & said he'd be back around 3 pm with a supervisor to do an assessment. He returned around 4 pm with his supervisor Matt, who assessed that the issue was because the weight of neighbor''s tile wall had broken our sewer line, the erosion throughout the years had worn away the dirt beneath the line & needed to do an excavation. They walked next door to speak with our neighbor, returned back to our house,  quoted a price around $2000 and said they'd be back to start on Wednesday 12/18/13 around 11 am. They phoned on Wednesday around 10 am to let us know they wouldn't be here until Thursday.

They came with a manager, Juanito, who went next door to speak with our neighbor and returned to let us know that she was refusing to pay for anything and the cost of $6000+ would totally be our responsibility & needed us to pay half prior to starting! I got angry & said it wasn't fair but he kept saying that he wasn't the lawyer or mediator, he just worked for Roto-Rooter & that we would have to take care of any legal issues on our own. After my mother signed the hand-written invoice and consent to work on neighbor's property, also signed by neighbor, Juanito said he would go back to the office to make copies & return with a computer-generated invoice showing all work being done. I offered to scan a copy on my computer but he said he'd do that all for us. Since we needed to get it fixed ASAP, we paid their asking price & Juanito quickly left. After the work was done, my mother paid the balance of quote and Noa said he'd return on Wednesday 12/25/13 with all the papers. It is now Friday 12/27/13. I called Roto-Rooter and explained my situation to Ruth who then transferred my call to the Democrat Street location, instructing me to press 0 for a customer service rep. I kept being looped back to the initial greeting, pressed 0 again, did this for 3x, finally pressing voicemail number to General Manager, who has not returned my call nor have we gotten any documents promised.

They were all very nice & did a good job but for paying a VERY STEEP COST we should not have to chase them to get documents, they should be delivering simple documentation for work done and authorization to work on neighbor's property. It seems to me that they got their money & we don't matter to them anymore. I'm frustrated with the situation but don't know what else to do but perhaps go down to the office to get this resolved.

It is apparent that no amount of negative reviews will change this companies poor customer service. We ordered a shower door in July and paid in full $2100 (big mistake). First attempt to install had wrong measurements. Okay stuff happens. We were told new parts were ordered. We called back in NOVEMBER and were told parts just came in and they could install in 3 days. 5 minutes before scheduled time to install we got a call that they did not have the parts sorry that I took off work to meet the installer but they would call when the parts came in. Rescheduled and installer showed up on time but with the wrong parts. Sorry that I took off work again but the installer said he could get the parts as the were off the shelf and come back the next day.installer came back and despite breaking the old door into a million pieces got the shower door installed. The installer Carl ( subcontractor) was continually apologizing ( he was very good). Yet to hear from owner but he got paid in full 4 months ago.

Great service and prices! They work all hours and during emergency after hours. Rannie educated me on what the problem is instead of just doing the repair charging then charging me. He made sure I was satisfied with his services. He's very responsive & very reasonably price! I highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs!
