EV charging station installation. Carlos our installation electrician was on time, courteous and performed the work outlined in a very clean workmanlike manner. The installation looks and works great. I paid the extra cash for the permitted installation and am hopeful that completing the permit process won't go as painfully as described in some of the reviews I've read online.

The turn around time on this can't be beat.  Took 2 days to asses the job and create a quote, and after I signed the contract an electrician came the next day to do the install.  Can't beat that!

Highly recommend Faraday Electric! I looked at several companies in the surrounding area to help out with a Tesla Wall Charger installation and these guys were the clear choice from the get go.

The team was great at communicating and coming up with a game plan for the install but the real MVP was Blaine. He showed up on time and knocked out the install in record time. He even took the time to answer questions about our new Tesla and went above and beyond with making sure we were setup properly.

Will definitely be using this company again for future work. Thanks Blaine!

It didn't take us long after purchasing our Tesla Y to realize we needed to get a home charging station. We reached out to three companies certified by Tesla. The costs were similar - but the proposal submitted by Faraday was far and beyond the best, with just fantastic attention to detail. On top of that, every person I spoke with - from customer service and scheduling to the installer - just inspired confidence. They responded quickly, they got the job done when they promised, and we are very pleased with the results.

To add to the experience: after installation, we pursued a rebate from LA DWP, and the agency requires a ton of documentation that resulted in some more communication with Faraday to revise our original invoice so it reflected the information DWP wanted. Once again, they were helpful and responsive (thank you, Victor!) I cannot recommend them enough.

UPDATE: What a FRAUD... THIS GUYS ARE SCAM. They still hold my money that I piad for permit, and their so called manager Rudy or whatever, who has been postponing me last 2 months, told that I can go an complain anywhere. They are basically not paying my money, and he still believes they will get the permit after a 6 months. these guys, I have never seen something like this. i HOPE YOU WOULD BE COMPLETELY WIPED OFF FROM THIS ENTIRE INDUSTRY. WHAT A TERRIBLE GROUP OF THIEVES...
THEY LITERALLY STOLE MY MONEY.
I submitted a complaint to cslb.ca.gov (you can do it too), and I filed a small city claim as well. I hope God may get much much more from you in many other ways and I mean it.

Tesla wall charger installation. Very quick with their responses. Excellent price when compared with other companies. They provided a very detailed quote with a calculated plan.

After receiving all documents and agreeing on the price. They came in 7AM in the morning. They installed the tesla wall charger with 60A breaker in 45min.

The overall experience is very efficient, swift installation, great price.

Got quotes for a Tesla Wall Connector gen3 from multiple installers, Faraday came back with the most comprehensive proposal and was the most responsive out of all of them.

Then comes the day of the installation which was scheduled within a couple days of receiving the proposal, Carlos showed up on time and was professional in explaining the whole process. He's open on designing how the installation will look on the spot and gave good explanation on the pros and cons of each approach.

All in all, the charger was installed in about 4-5 hours and functions flawlessly delivering 48amp with the installation of a 240v/60amp breaker and a wire run from the panel at the back of the house to inside the garage. Definitely talk to Faraday if you're considering getting an EV charger installed.

I had a pretty good experience with this company. It was straight forward and we asked for a quote via messages. I sent them pictures of my garage and the breaker which they helped me figure out the Amps and Voltage. The estimate process is top notch and this company has it down in terms of speed.

I can see how people's experience varies because each installer varies based on your area and some aren't technically licensed electricians they just install a bunch of these chargers for a living. I believe the company is associated with Tesla and probably has some type of license/contract though.

Overall I was able to get the charger installed and in a way that made sense. But I do support the other comments about inspecting the work and making sure it's satisfactory. I felt the customer service was fair and they stood by their product and made it right when I brought up issues that I wanted fixed. But I recommend standing there with the installer to make sure he knows where to put the charger. The installers don't always have the most up to date contract so you should verify those details before he plugs holes in your wall. Just be kind about it and I found them to be fair/customer service focused.

When I reached out to Faraday electric for an estimate to install my Tesla wall charger, I received a very quick response. Victor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. It was great that I could send an pictures of my electric panel set up and where I wanted to install the charger. Victor asked me for additional information and was able to give a detailed estimate in a short period of time.

After comparing them to other companies they provided me with the most reasonable price. I wanted to have my charger installed as soon as possible and I got an appointment right away. They came two days later on Saturday. Abel was the electrician who came to install it for me. He was very professional and installed it in about 45 mins. He did a great job and I highly recommend Faraday electric. They are officially licensed/ certified and recommended by Tesla for wall charger installations. Here is the final product in the picture below.

Initially, the communication with Faraday Electric was a bit sporadic and inconsistent. I requested an estimate via Yelp on April 4th and was directed to send photos to their phone number which I did on April 6th. I did not hear anything from them until the 10th. Between the 4/6 and 4/10, I was able to obtain 4 different estimates from quick responding companies. All provided similar ranging costs. These estimates barely provided details on what the job entailed. This lack of detail did not sit well with me.

My initial negative impression of Faraday's lack of communication was abated once I received their quote via email. Faraday's quote was comprehensive with explained scope of work with diagrams, visuals, and even a load calculation to ensure the project was within city guidelines. Furthermore, they actually provided images of their DCA license and liability insurance. After reviewing their quote, I contacted them with several follow up questions which they patiently answered. Prior to Faraday, I contacted one of the previous companies with follow up questions and their rep's tone came off as impatient and exasperated.

I am satisfied with the completed work. They made the 14-50 NEMA outlet and EV charging cable look clean even when my surrounding garage space looks cluttered (my own doing).

I booked them to install NEMA 14-50 plug at my house because they were the cheapest quote. The technician showed up and installed the plug where I asked him however after he left I noticed he used old rusted used 50 amp breaker at my house. I called them for 7 times now asking them to come back and change it. And every single time I never hear back from them. One time they told me someone will show up on Tuesday between 8:00AM - 12:00pm but no one came by and I called them asking if they are going to make it and they said we will call u and they never did. So pleaseeeeeee Make sure you inspect everything before you pay them otherwise once they are gone from your house they will never return.

2/7/23: I talked to Albert the supervisor and he said they will have someone come by to change the breaker on Thursday 2/9/23. I'll update this post of that ever happen.

2/8/23: I called them and talk to frank , he said he is going to send me a text for appointment confirmation for 2/9/23 between 8-10 AM, we will see if he send it or tomorrow will happen at all. I will wait until Thursday before I start the charge dispute on the bill.

Worked with Frank and Victor on the details and pricing- very professional and reasonably priced. Kevin and Carlos came out right on time and installed everything and did wonderful job. You can tell they were very experienced and had done many of the tesla wall charger installations.

They were able to route wire and conduit from my backyard breaker box all the way  to the garage and placed my wall charger in a perfect spot. They installed a new 60 amp breaker as well.

They even replaced some screws I asked for the existing circuit box- went above and beyond. Great job guys - thanks.

After a little hiccup getting started, Jorge (the CEO) intervened and got everything rolling quickly. They bid on and installed a Tesla Wall Charger at my home. Their price beat the competition and the bid was the most comprehensive and responsive I received (out of 6 RFPs). Faraday provided all the information that a customer should receive, including copy of license, insurance, a comprehensive and detailed plan, etc.. No one else did as good a job on that!  They got the install done quickly and Carlos (the electrician) arrived on-time and finished the whole thing very quickly (less than 2-hrs). He was skillful and complete in the installation. Nice guy too. I highly recommend Faraday Electric; you would be hard pressed to find a better team.

I was thinking if 4.5 stars since I was not completely happy with the scheduling. The representative was very helpful until the time I said I'd hire them, then no one called me back for scheduling. They just sent me something to sign without getting back with me about the actual time of the job.

Nonetheless, the job was done right away! I am very satisfied so far with the installation. Abel was professional and friendly. Did the work in less than an hour. There was a hole on the wall that he had to patch, but doesn't bother me much. Can just paint over it.

Also they gave me a 50 dollar discount for some sort of Holiday special.

I recently bought a Tesla and reached out to 3 vendors on their site for bids to install my charger.  I was a little leery when they came in 50% less than the other two.  However, they sent me a proposal with GPS photos of my house and schematics of exactly how they planned to install and place my charger, so I gave them a shot.  I am SO glad I did!  The installer showed up on time and was super personable and professional.  He explained everything and was in and out in under an hour.  I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Very satisfied with the prompt and high quality work by Faraday Electric!

First, loved their sophisticated online quote request process which requires couple of photos of my main panel, garage etc. Within one biz day, I received the initial quote and with couple of text/email exchanges, I quickly agreed with Russel on a reasonable cost.

Then in the same way, electricians (Carlos and Omar) came to my house and got my home charger installed perfectly on my garage wall in about one hour!

Carlos did a great job to evaluate my existing panels incl. solar and power wall panel, gave me very honest recommendation which aligned with my preference.

Great price.  Efficient quoting process.  They were available to get the job done soon and in one day.  The installers scratched the side of the house a bit with the ladder.  The conduit is a bit of an eye sore where it goes down the side of the house but it can be painted.  There were not really better options for routing the conduit according to the installers.  Overall, they did a good job installing a NEMA 14-50 240V outlet, considering 100 ft of wire had to be run.  It was a tough job, but they got it done.

I was looking for a Tesla charger installation.  Tesla suggested that I get it installed by Faraday Electric for $800.  I took their recommendation.  I had to upload some photos of my electrical panel.  After that, I got in touch with Faraday Electric, who quickly send someone to estimate the very next day.  However, after estimating, the technician said that he could finish the job in 1.5/2 hours if I wanted it done right away.  I agreed, and lo and behold, less than 2 hours later, I had home charging!  Great performance, Faraday Electric!

5 star service from online bidding to the install of my Tesla charger.

highlights:

-efficient proposal delivery process
-reasonable pricing including permits
-arrived on time and accommodated my schedule
-took the time to make the install look good

I started by following their online questionnaire and uploading pictures of the site and my breaker box. I got a call and a proposal within 3 hours.

The price was very reasonable. It was not the cheapest, but I thought the cheaper quotes didn't include important things like support for permits. It also wasn't the most expensive by far. It was a Goldilocks just right.

As for the install, the team of electricians came out the next day, arrived in a window that worked with my schedule, and installed the conduit and breakers. I didn't yet have the Tesla wall connector, but it wasn't a problem. The electrician came out the next day and completed the install. What I appreciated most about the install is that the team took the time to run the conduits so it was up to code and looked good.

I now have a charger installed well in advance of my model Y. I'm energized to take delivery of my new model Y.

I'd like to preface this review by stating I'm leaving a 1 star review to (hopefully) get the attention of somebody at Faraday that can help.

My initial interactions with Faraday went very well, so I ended up hiring them to install 2 Tesla Wall Connectors in my garage. The price was fair (not the cheapest, but I was willing to pay more due to their 5 star reviews and the positive interactions I had with their sales associate), the gentleman that came to install the wall connectors was pleasant and professional, and they appear to have done a good job on the installation itself. The installation was on 12/8/22 and at that time I also paid them $294 to handle the city permitting as well. Unfortunately, my 5 star experience with them all changed after that.

After 2 months of not hearing anything I emailed my sales associate on 2/17 for a status update. I'm assuming they no longer work there since the email bounced back to me immediately stating the address was not found.  

I called on 2/21 and left a message since there was no answer. I didn't receive a call back.

I called again on 2/23 and spoke with somebody who said they submitted the application, but that they haven't heard back from the city. I was told they would reach out to the city that day and that they would call me back the next day with an update. I never received a call back.

I called again on 2/28, left another message since there was no answer, and didn't receive a call back again.

Called again on 3/1 and spoke with somebody named Russel who also stated that the application had been submitted and that they're waiting to hear back. He said they would follow up with the city regarding its status.

I still hadn't heard back by 3/21, so I reached out to the city of Irvine to see if a permitting application was even submitted. The permitting specialist I heard back from on 3/22 said they do not see anything in their online plan review system and they asked me to check irvinepermits.org to see if something was submitted there. Checking the website also didn't come up with any evidence that a permitting application was submitted for the EV chargers. Faraday's Yelp page stated they're open until 7pm, so I tried calling just after 5pm without answer. I'm not holding this against them since they certainly could have actually been closed at that time.

I tried calling a few times throughout the morning on 3/23, again without any answer. Just after 1pm Donald from Faraday picked up. He was very apologetic for the troubles and said he's escalating this to his manager immediately and that I'd get a call back in about an hour. He also sent me a text message about 20 minutes later stating the same and that they'd call back within an hour. I never got a call back.

It's now the end of the day on 3/24 and I still haven't heard back.

So I'm basically approaching 4 months since the Wall Connectors were installed, paid almost $300 extra to have them handle the permitting, have reached out multiple times without any significant help, and it looks like they still haven't even submitted an application for permitting. At this rate I would have been better off just handling the permitting application myself to save $300 and the headache of dealing with Faraday.

If somebody from Faraday could please get back to me with some real help I would appreciate it and would possibly be willing to addend my stars once I finally have my installation permitted.

These guys started out great. They requested pics which I sent, then they sent an electrician to my house and promised a quote within 24 hours. Then... nada. Called them, they promised quote by end of day. No quote. Called again, they promised a quote by 8AM the next morning. No quote. Called again and they promised a quote by Monday. Nothing. If they had simply said We're not interested or we are slammed instead of making promises and not following through, I would have let this go. But this is unprofessional.

Carlos is the Michael Jordan of installing Electrical for 40 Amp Circuit Breaker for Vehicle Charger for my Tesla Model 3.
I am very happy and honored to have him
installed the 40 amp circuit breaker Level 2 EV Home Charging Station. I watched him work and I was with WOW watching outstanding work. The building inspector finally came today to approved and signed the building permit.

Initial communication was through text messages. Detailed invoice of job received by email. Blake the electrician not only arrived 10 min earlier than the two hour time frame. He installed the Tesla wall connector cleanly and professionally in just 45 minutes. He also allowed me to watch and ask questions which was an excellent learning opportunity for the curious minded. Would recommend to anyone in the San Diego area.

Couple tips: 1) Big portion of the price is determined by how far away the charger is from your main panel. The closer it is the more affordable it will be. 2) Faraday's quote for also handling the permit was more than $300 less than local competitors.

Telsa Charging Station Installation: Very good customer service over the phone, knowledgeable and professional electricians in person.  Ivan from customer service provided a full description of the work to be done.   Blaine and his partner arrival on time, explained what was to be done and completed the job without any issues.

Avoid this business for its lack of accountability, and horrible service. The phone number listed is also a google phone and nobody answers when you call.

on 10/13 spoke to 4 different people to set up an appointment to have someone come out and install a 240v and Tesla wall charger.  

I received a text message from Victor stating that someone will arrive on 10/14 between the hours of 10 am - 12 pm and I will receive a notification with a 30min eta.

10/14 - 9 am a technician arrived at my door. However, UNPREPARED! Without the Tesla, Wall Charger that was discussed and agreed upon would be provided by Faraday. I called Victor who repeatedly said No Worries we will solve this for you.

I decided to give them a second opportunity and VICTOR guaranteed an arrival time of 3 pm. When I told him that my wife has to leave by 4:30 pm and cannot wait for a technician to complete his work if they do not arrive on time. He again assured me that someone will arrive at 3 pm, take 45min to complete, and that I will be given notice prior to arrival.

3:15 I reached out to Victor who ignored my calls and texts. Then I receive a message saying...

My apologies on the delay, we just had some complications with our previous installation he will be there within 30 mins.

Finally, I received a phone call from Victor who was clearly embarrassed for failing to follow through on his promise. He said that he found a solution, and fixed the problem. When I asked how he was unable to provide an answer and when I pressed him more for an answer, he started laughing, lost his professionalism, and started using slang words.

Spoke to Frank, the so-called Manager who also didn't listen and simply offered a $25 discount.

At 3:36 pm the electrician arrived, CLUELESS, and asked my wife what type of work he is supposed to do.

Both Victor and Frank kept saying If you give us the opportunity, you will see the quality of work. However, I gave them several opportunities to impress me and prove their quality, and failed each time!

I have text messages to prove it!

What upsets me most are individuals and businesses who cannot follow through with their promises!

From quote proposal to installation, Faraday Electric is top tier in customer service and professionalism.  I sent a quote request to multiple vendors for an installation of a Tesla Wall Charger and Faraday was the most responsive and addressed all my questions.  Their Work Scope proposal was very throughout and provided a detailed breakdown of cost and work.  The cost was very competitive with other companies but it was their promptness and impressive workflow that set them apart.  Blaine was the electrician that came out to perform the installation.  Blaine gave an a 2 hour heads up on when he would be arriving and arrived on time.  He was very friendly and professional.  Blaine took the time to explain everything he was doing and why.  I now have a go-to company for all my electrical needs in the future.  Thanks Faraday!

FYI - I had 14-50 already installed in my garage.

At first, I had a great experience scheduling and providing an estimate, but then it got way worse. Electrician arrived on time but didn't have the latest copy of the contract. We reconfirmed the location of the install and 2 hrs later he installed my Tesla Wall Connector in the wrong location (8 inches away) from where it supposed to be without any reasoning and communicating to me (I was literally sitting in my living room next door). Like it's his house, his decision what to do. Again, I was literally inside my house and it would takes 2 mins to discuss and communicate to me about changes. Faraday failed here.

After I pointed out on the install issue and how its obstructing my 14-50 mobile connector due to long cables management he suggested to move cables higher on the wall (really?). Again, is it your house to provide design ideas? He collected money and left... now they refuse to fix their installation issue. Names: Rudy, Ivan, Russell.

Faraday failed to install in the location signed per agreement and I hope this will review will be helpful for other. They are offing me to pay money to fix their issue to relocate the changer...

Faraday Electric in San Diego has been fantastic.  The initial installation of my Tesla Wall Connector was very professional and prompt.  When the vehicle arrived I hadn't realized the commissioning process was already completed and replicated it resulting in confusion about the readiness of the charger.  My issue was elevated to management and I was called by Rudy who explained the actual status and correctly assuring me the charger was ready to go.  This is as thorough and professional a company that I have dealt with in a long time.  I highly recommend them.

I put in a request for a Tesla wall connector to be installed at 8 pm and received a call from Faraday in less than 10 minutes. They talked through the information required in order to generate a quote and even were able to get their technicians to me the next morning! Incredibly responsive and did good, clean work.

The team was also very enjoyable to talk to and clearly very knowledgeable. It appears these guys are based in San Diego and trying to expand their footprint throughout California. With service like this I suspect they will do just that. Thanks guys.

It took only 3 days from submitting an online inquiry to having my Tesla wall connector installed. Ernest was super responsive and would always reply to my texts within an hour. Price was more reasonable than other competitors in the Bay Area.

Was looking to install a 14-50 NEMA outlet for my EV and Faraday electric was able to respond quickly with a competitive quote. Although they were not the cheapest, it was recommended on Tesla's website and I was not disappointed. What stood out was their timely responses and their detailed formal offer that other electric services didn't present. Would definitely recommend Faraday for any electrical needs.

Contacted them to installed 240v 14-50 NEMA outlet in my garage. Had a detailed quote with diagrams and pictures within a couple hours. I confirmed the quote and was able to schedule the work the very next day.

Installer arrived a bit late as a previous job had some difficulties but once arrived the work the done professionally and completed within the original scheduled time slot.

Paid to get a permit for the work and in less than a week had the approved permit from the city.

If you want Tesla chargers, look no further. They know Tesla energy better than, well Tesla Energy. I should know, I first hired Tesla to do the installation initially, but they couldn't figure it out. We have two Teslas and we were keen to charge both at the same time. Robert, the RMO actually did the installation of both v2 charges. The guy is a legit sparky and his work is super clean. They pulled a permit, poured the concrete footing for the pedestal charger, the whole lot.  Price was fair.

I found them based on the Tesla website, and they really came through. Obviously, I needed the wall charger to be hooked up as soon as possible, and from first contact to finish they took less than 72 hours.  They would have come sooner had the wall charger delivery not been delayed by UPS. They were very professional, easy to deal with via text and email, very clear and with the scope of the project, and Carlos the installer was neat, efficient and very open to my questions about the installation.  Will definitely use again and highly recommend.

I had reached out to 10 electricians to get a quote on Tesla wall charger installed at my home.  My panel is at back of the house, so it needed to be routed 50 feet to garage.  Due to the distance, the price quotes ranged far more than what I had anticipated.  I had provided several photos that each company asked for.  By far Faraday Electric had the most comprehensive and detailed quote.  They used the photos to clearly show the work they plan to do.  In addition, they were very responsive in their communication throughout the whole process.  And most importantly their quoted price was the most reasonable.  They did a wonderful job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are looking to install a Tesla wall charger.

My project involved getting a level 2 Tesla home charger installed outside of my garage. I worked with Hanibal to get the electrical permits for the project. I preferred to do the permit process myself in order to save some money, but Hanibal and team were more than helpful in reviewing the permit before I submitted my application to the city.

When the work was scheduled at 8:00AM, Carlos and Manny came right on time! My main panel was over 50 feet away from where I wanted the charger mounted. Carlos and Manny made sure that any exposed conduit outside of the house was perfectly leveled. There was additional electrical wiring that was routed through the inside of the garage. However, where I wanted the charger mounted was difficult to access from the inside of the garage. Carlos and Manny went above and beyond to crawl underneath my water heater and squeezed through a narrow space in order to feed the wiring.

If anyone is even thinking about using Faraday Electric for installing a home charger, I would DEFINITELY recommended them!

Would I say scammers? Ehh maybe not to that degree but they overcharge for the quality of work they do.

I submitted an online quote for a Tesla wall charger. Company called me immediately saying they would get a quote over to me within hour or two. I then received a quote hours later where we agreed on price and install date. Company cancelled on me day of scheduled install and rescheduled for day after. During install, I was contacted by company saying more material was needed for the install than initially anticipated. Charged me an extra $180 for a couple feet of copper wire. Initial quote was 800 but ended up paying 980. Wall charger was installed too high on wall-- about six and a half feet or so. Other family members can't reach it. Per Tesla, the wall connector's maximum height off ground is 48 (4 feet). In addition, wiring inside wall charger was not installed per Tesla specifications.

I tried reaching out to company multiple times to have them fix and was ghosted, and they're not returning calls. Mediocre install.

Not a bad company, but shop around. I'm sure you'll find one that cares more about their work.

I got quotes from dozens of electricians in Los Angeles. Given the same information for Tesla level two charger installation within 5 ft of breaker I got ranges from 400-2000 dollars. Reached out to these guys for an EV installation on yelp. Ernest provided me with a quote quickly. The quote was reasonably priced and very detailed, Ernest was also very helpful with all the questions I had and I had quite a lot of them.

Carlos and Jose came out to do the installation and were professional and seemed like great people. I've had a lot of workers come to our house over the past few years and they had both the best work ethic and professionalism I've experienced. You could tell they took pride in their product and also worked as quickly as possible while not hurting the quality of work.

I needed  my charger for the  tesla installed asap, I reached out to  Faraday electric for an estimate. They responded very quickly and was very knowledgeable. I received a very quick response. I liked that they needed pictures of the electric panel to make sure we had the infrastructure to support the outlet. They provided a proposal that was the most reasonable compared to other companies.  The technician came and installed it a few days later. He did a great and quick job installing the charging outlet. He was very professional and knowledge about charging  and answered all my questions. A week later I needed an extension cord for my tesla charger and I wasn't sure which one to purchase so I reached out to Faraday electric. He responded right away and sent me a link to an extension cord  that was compatabible with the charger/outlet.  I highly recommend Faraday electric! They are  licensed/ certified and also  recommended by Tesla for installing wall chargers.

I hired Them through Tesla, to install my wall charger. Sebastian on the phone and by email was super responsive and knowledgeable, and the whole process took only a day to organize, their website is great to send photos of the house so that they can plan the work accordingly. The day of, not only did their handyman show up ahead of schedule which was great as I didn't have lots of time, but he did an AMAZING job, super clean, fast and efficient.
Prices were really reasonable and easy to pay through venmo.

Robert did a great job adding a sub-panel, conduit, and a NEMA 14-50 240V receptacle inside our garage and relocating some circuit breakers from the main outside distribution panel, so that 240VAC 50A breakers could be added to power an electric car charging station in the garage. He was very flexible in accommodating our wishes for placement of the components on the inside garage wall. The work was very professionally done, on time and on budget. We were overwhelmed by the many to-do items once we got our first Tesla.  The folks at Faraday made it super easy.  Real people answer the phone and respond to texts.  Just by sending some specific photographs they were able to make a plan for the charger installation.  In advance of the installation appointment an electrician came to look over our site, which was good, because the original plan needed modification.  On the installation day 2 electricians arrived on time and immediately went to work.  Less than 3 hours later they had finished.  I cannot imagine a smoother job!  I will recommend Faraday to all my friends who need a charger installed for their electric car.

Faraday sent Able to install our Tesla Wall Charger. After sending them pics of our panel and desired set up location, the quote was clear and offered us options for running the wires. We had the best experience with Faraday Electric, we live in downtown San Diego, in a mid rise concrete building with a HOA. We needed to get the lines ran for our Tesla from our meter room on the floor above and across the parking garage. Jorge came out inspected and quoted us the week before the install. The following Monday they came out X-rayed the floors and plotted the lines. Then drilled the concrete, ran the lines and installed nema 6-50 plug the next day!!

Everyone that helped us was super nice and professional. Rudy and Jorge were the two main people that we were in contact with. All communication was thoughtful and thorough. I did not catch all the names for the guys that came out to do the install, but they were just as great as Rudy and Jorge.

Honestly, I can't say enough about how great the people and experience was!

So sad to be writing this review as I didn't receive the type of service anyone else did. Looks like the COVID rush of people needing service turned them greedy. Salesman/electrician bullied us into scheduling right away even though we wanted to review quotes and take time to decide and told them we weren't sure multiple times. On one of the several phone calls of them asking us to schedule they said hey we are going to be in your area we can do it now or you'll wait a few months ?  Then without any signed sales contract or formal approval came to our house! Never finished worked and when I complained that whatever they started and attempted to do was not up to code shoddy work was done with CHEAP materials they claimed they would reach out. After I asked for availability to call and discuss,they ghosted us for over 5 months. I had to hire another person and redo the work as well as actually FINISH and complete the Install over ourselves.

Now hilariously almost 6 months after the fact and we already spent money and time fixing everything they are demanding payment over $1200 while threatening to send to collections and claimed to have come to the house last Saturday?  I guess they finally remembered us after being ghosted for half the year. No one from their company came last Saturday we have security cameras we would know. Like no way am I paying this company for work that was NEVER done or completed and not having a proper signed contract !  As every licensed contractor would not do business in this manner. Clearly they have some accounting issues and no one knows what's going on there. They kept messing up even on the quote itself having another customers name and address phone number etc on the one they finally were able to send me talk about lack of care for other customers sensitive and private information. This should of been my first red flag. From the beginning I was always chasing after them to respond and kept having to talk to new people over and over never the same person. If your lucky enough to get the same person they forget anything discussed. Communication was always poor along with service. I'm glad we decided to move on. I absolutely cannot in good faith recommend them based on my recent experience and would be very weary of their tactics and lack of professionalism and threats. Horrifying experience and completely traumatized .

UPDATE: I got a call from Faraday Electric after my review and the person I was talking was telling me that he called me and explained  that my permit was not approved so they cannot get the permit from the city whereas I asked for screen shots to show when he called me but he couldn't and I never got a call from anyone from Faraday. I politely explained that maybe he is confused with another client but he was insisting he talked to me and I mentioned that I was okay with that.. What a joke. They are now saying that I cannot get a permit with the job they have done, so they say they can refund the permit fee but what about the project it self?? How am I going to get a permit with that. They guaranteed me at the beginning that they stand behind their work and get the permit and thats why I paid them almost $2K for Tesla Wall Charger installation. I am going to deal with this at the small claim court. I know it will take time but I won't let them get along with that. BEWARE WITH THE PERMITTABLE WORK THEY ARE PROVIDING AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. FIND A BETTER ELECTRIC COMPANY.

They upgraded my panel to install my tesla wall charger. I have paid for permit and told that they will take care of everything and I will get an update about the permit in 6 weeks. I followed up later to get update but there was no update. Sent another email after 3 months, got no response. Sent a text messag, no response again. Today I sent another email by hoping someone would reply. This is not professional, and I am really disappointed with their customer service. I do NOT recommend them.

I originally reached out to this company to have my tesla charger installed in my garage and an electric line ran to the laundry room for the dryer. The company gave me a quote for both. When the installer came the next day he installed the charger with no issues. Works perfect. But I was told they would not be able to complete the dryer line. Bummer

Imagine my surprise when the next day I was sent another invoice through email that the dryer would be double the price originally quoted. I reached out and they told me that it had been mispriced. This is after I had sent them a video walking the length the wire would have to be run. After multiple text messages without a reply I was called back and told that the price would be remaining the same, even after admitting that their had been a miscommunication at their office.

After more unanswered texts I was able to speak to a supervisor. He told me that despite the lack of communication from them and the fact it had been a WEEK after the charger install, nothing could be done to remedy the situation. I feel like the entire process was a waste of time.

Carlos was a great installer. But the customer service really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Faraday came within 48 hours and installed a Tesla charger requiring the addition of a subpanel which I wanted hidden in my cabinetry with the conduit hidden in the walls and then run down the center post between the two garage doors. They were very responsive, competent, professional and easy to work with.  Robert did the installation completing the work by only cutting two small squares in the sheet rock (easily repaired) and he was thorough, precise and cleaned up before he left.  FIVE STARS!

Pretty seamless process, you send pictures and they pull your records from the county to determine the work that needs to be done. For an additional fee they will handle the permit processing for you which went smoothly. On the day of the install Carlos came out to install, very knowledgable and did a good job. Faraday came within 48 hours and installed a Tesla charger requiring the addition of a subpanel which I wanted hidden in my cabinetry with the conduit hidden in the walls and then run down the center post between the two garage doors. They were very responsive, competent, professional and easy to work with.  Robert did the installation completing the work by only cutting two small squares in the sheet rock (easily repaired) and he was thorough, precise and cleaned up before he left.  FIVE STARS!

Faraday was quick to book the appointment and knocked out the install of my boyfriend's Tesla charger in no time. They were pleasant and did clean work. I believe they did a good job, however, since I am in property management I know pricing on electrical, plumbing, etc. and feel that it could have been cheaper. This is not an isolated issue though, as the entire construction industry is guilty of price gouging clients across San Diego. Maybe now that Biden inflation has really sunk in we might get more honest and fair market prices from our skilled contractors....wishful thinking?!

I worked with Frank & Earnest for the quotes. They worked off of photos sent from my phone, responded back with detailed quotes and provided a couple of installation options.  I was immediately scheduled for the next day, Carlos who came for installation was awesome too!  He suggested floating type installation in my garage which looks awesome!  They are also handling the permit work for me. For a b2b installation with permit it costed me $875. Pretty reasonable!

BUYERS BEWARE !!! These guys are CROOKS!!! Albert Pineda and his boss Rudy are reprehensible!!!

The scheme they are running is that they think they are something special and require you to pay them $200 up front for a 10 minute walkthrough of your property then they lie, cheat and steal your $$ by inflating the proposal by overestimating every cost they can.
I was verbally quoted an estimate of 4-5000 and the written proposal came back at $7200... told them on principle I was not happy with them and would kindly appreciate my $200 back for them not acting in good faith and inflating the bid which they would not after many requests show me an itemized breakdown of there pricing.
They are squirrels  when it comes to running a solid business and treating people fairly and respectfully.  
I have since gotten a bid from a competitor at a price $2500 less than what these weasels wanted to charge. Don't fall for their SCAM!!!!

Buyer beware!
Found Faraday at the Tesla website, as I wanted everything to be perfect to avoid any kind of electrical issues to my new car or house by using non-Tesla-certified electricians. Adam was my point of contact, and I was impressed with their job packet, of how detailed it was with their information and the job they were proposing to do.
At first the wall connector was to be closest to the wall panel to avoid unnecessary damage to the walls, but by Tesla standards for the wall connector, it had to be on the right hand side wall of my garage in order to reach the charging port and the new plan came with an additional cost of wiring and pipes. And I agreed to this.

My commitment for the installation was delayed a bit since the HOA wanted to get involved and clearing that took some extra time, and finally I was able to proceed with the job. I had requested them to also do the required city permits etc. for an extra $100 fee.
The total price was a bit high, but again, I wanted everything to be done correctly.

Paul was my installer, he showed up shortly after 2pm. I told him that he could holler at me if he needed anything. Short time later (maybe 45-50 min) he called my name and I went to the garage to see what was needed and he informed me the job was done! WOW, that was fast! BUT, it was installed in the wrong place!! Paul had been given the first plan to install nearest to the wall panel, not the actual and agreed place for the right hand side wall.

He called the office to figure out what went wrong, I called the office and Jose said that Adam had not provided them with the new plan. And of course Monday was Adam's day off and they couldn't call him. Another appointment had to be arranged to fix the correct placement for the wall connector. We agreed on a time between 1 and 3 pm, the electrician Carlos showed up at 540pm. At first he was tied up elsewhere, then he was stuck in traffic. Carlos was able to install the wall connector to the correct location.

I had requested Faraday to help out with the city permits, but when the billing came, they did not charge me for the permits, because they had not done them. I had to go to the city permits office myself and fill out papers, but that was only 15 minutes of my life and certainly not worth paying Faraday extra $100.
Then the city inspector came, and he found two errors. A wrong type of a screw had been inserted to the electrical box, and it had then broken in half. And my Tesla wall connector was missing a Tesla screw underneath the connector.

Again, I needed someone to come back and fix them in order to get my permit approved. I spoke with Jose and we agreed that someone would come by on Saturday between 1130-1230, and surprise surprise nobody showed up! I called the office and Frank said, yes, someone should have been there long time ago and he would check in with the electrician and call back.

Few days later, now Carlos comes back with a correct screw for the box and a replacement Tesla screw for the wall connector he got from Amazon, not from Tesla.

Not happy that now my garage wall has ugly patches where the mistake was done.
Not happy that my authentic Tesla screw went missing and then replaced with an Amazon part.
Definitely NOT impressed with their communication skills amongst each other.
I guess I could have done a better job supervising that the wall connector was installed into the correct place, but I trusted that they knew what they were doing. I wouldn't want anyone to breath on my neck while working.

One positive note, both Paul and Carlos cleaned after them nicely. No trash was left behind.

They recently expanded into the Bay Area. At first they appeared to be friendly and knowledgeable in helping us upgrade our home electrical for a tesla charger. After the first visit, they started to give us the run around that seemed like they were purposely dragging their feet. They were supposed to provide an estimate for the work but when they failed to respond, we called them to follow up. Out of the blue, they said that we would need to make a deposit of $500 before any work. They said that they need to contact PG&E in order to find out some information about our home in order to be able to provide an estimate. Why would I pay them $500 before I know how much is the project going to cost?!  What clowns!  Unpleasant dealing with Ernest , Rudy, and Albert. Kevin was great though. We moved on with another electrician and went smoothly.  Avoid using them if you could.

Great, quick service! Needed a NEMA 14-50 outlet for charging my new Tesla. They had quick availability, but it was mostly my schedule that was limited. Blaine was friendly and cool, explained everything thoroughly. He arrived exactly on time and took less than an hour to finish the job! I was worried since I had an appointment not too long after but he was quick and I was early to my appointment. In the process of finding someone to install the Tesla Wall Charger, i requested nine estimates from the list of contractors of the certified Tesla installers, that Tesla provides. Of the nine, four responded. The others didn't even bother to reply. Tesla informs its customers what they should expect to pay from $700 to $1500 for the installation.
Of the four contractors who responded, none of them would send an electrician out to evaluate and measure the site, except for one, Faraday, who sent an electrician to my home.
instead of basing their estimates on actual information, they ball park a figure. (That is actually what one of the estimators told me when I asked how they calculate their estimates). The ball park estimate, which were told me verbally, all exceeded $3,100, some much higher.
This is what I discovered. This is how they calculate your estimate.  They derive a number that is so high, that they know that, regardless of their cost of materials and labor they will incur, they will make a large profit.  This is an opportunistic practice. They will take advantage of consumers who they may serve. It's disappointing, and shameful. It is a racket.
Faraday stood out amongst the others in every way. They happened to be the last estimate I requested. Albert responded to my request immediately. He sent an electrician, Abel, to my home. He arrived within an hour. Abel, thoughtfully assessed the site, came up with a plan, took measurements, and he answered all of my questions.
An hour after he left, Frank, sent me the estimate. But, the estimate was not just a couple of sentences quoting a price. It was a professionally prepared document that included every detail. There was an actual plan, there were detailed  specifications. It included copies of their licenses, insurance, and bonds. it Included a date to complete the work, which was the following day. i had no questions left to ask.
the price was within the range that Tesla stated.
I agreed to have them do the installation. I was told that an electrician would start this morning at 8am. At 7:40am, I received a message from Albert notifying me that the electrician, Kevin, would arrive at 7:40am. At 7:40am Kevin showed up. he was pleasant, professional, and he did the job, taking care to hide the conduit. It was a perfect installation.
What impressed me the most about Faraday, is the very high degree of professionalism exercised from beginning to end AND their pricing is reasonable and fair.
I cannot imagine how this installation process could have possibly gone better.
As consumers, we are unfamiliar with the various trades and industries. And, so often, we are the victims of opportunistic contractors, and, usually when we are in need of their costly services, we are stressed out. For me, this was such a refreshing experience to come across a business  that demonstrates  the very highest level of integrity, and who are considerate of the needs of those who are in need of their services. It is exceedingly rare. And that is why I am taking the time to write this review. Finding a business like this renews my faith in humanity.
If you find yourself in a similar position that I was in, and you are looking to find someone to install your Tesla charger, do not expend unnecessary time and effort requesting estimates from the list of all of the other lame electrical contractors on the Tesla list. You will just get discouraged , disappointed, and frustrated. Contact Faraday. They will take care of you in a way that will pleasantly surprise you.

I reached out to Faraday asking about installation of a NEMA 14-50 EV charger. From the moment I contacted them from their website (which is very well designed), they constantly stayed in touch and gave me two quotes for different locations where they can install. The quote itself was so detailed. We setup installation for 8-10AM morning, and Carlos was at my place at 8:30AM sharp. He explained what he was going to do, and did a tremendous, clean job. The Faraday team provided me with a very detailed quote for a Tesla wall connector including pics and diagrams AND at a very fair price.  Rudy & Albert were in constant communication via text message throughout the quote process.  Next, I was able to get an appointment the next day (Saturday) with a 1-hour appointment window.  On Saturday, got another text saying that they were ahead of schedule and they were able to move me up to a morning slot.  

Installer Blaine was personable and professional and he completed the installation in less than 45 minutes.  Very clean install and he didn't cut any corners.

Note - Faraday Electric was one of the authorized companies as recommended by the Tesla website in my zip code.  3 out of 4 who I called never returned my call.

I have contacted Faraday Electric for a Nema 14-50 outlet installation for my Ford Mach e EV.
They sent me the quote and instructions along with what pictures that I need to send them in minutes. They sent the electrician the next day and completed all the work including the installation of 50 amp circuit breaker.

Two parts to this review:
I had an installation done with Faraday in March of 2021 and they gave me a competitive estimate, had the guys out as scheduled and were done in two hours, and payment completed as discussed. For installation 5/5 stars.

I attempted to reach out to them several months later for city permitting, and reached out in October 2021 to Albert for permitting to be done by Faraday. He took over a month to get back to me and said Faraday could handle this, and quoted a competitive price in November 2021.

I emailed several times for follow up and got no email response.

I called and left a message without response, then called an additional two times and was told I'd get a call back. I understand it's the holidays and these things take time. But I never got a call back.

Frustrated I reached out again at the end of December and spoke with Ivan who said I'd get a call back regarding my permit application by 1/5/2022. That date passed so I called again on 1/7/2022. I was able to speak with Kelvin who let me know my permit is now in processing.

I understand that they have a lot of customers and I'm glad they have a lot of business especially during COVID, but it has taken a lot on my end to follow-up this permit application. I don't mind waiting but after a great installation experience I expected much better communication from Faraday.

The Tesla website referred Faraday to us to install home car charger, and we also asked around for recommendations. One our of friends just had Faraday Electric installed theirs last year and had great experience, so we went ahead with them. Very quick to respond, and despite having all the photos of the set up already, they still sent someone in person to make sure that the proposed plan is still the best for the space. Our set up is a little unusual in that though we had an electric panel in the garage in the back of the property, we were not able to actually park the car in the garage for multiple reasons, so had to use the panel to the side of the house, and run a line as close to the driveway as possible. This drove the cost way up. The technician examined the panel we had and tried to figure out if there is a way to avoid adding a subpanel to save some money, but unfortunately that was not possible. He then gave us a few options in terms of how to run the wires and set up the charging unit for the best aesthetics and convenience vs lowest cost. I liked that they were able to send a crew within the same week to get everything set up. Luckily I did not have to be home for this as long as they had free access to the electric panel. They left the space completely as they found it. Everything worked perfectly and I was able to pay online the next day with a link they sent. Just note that you will need to have the charger ordered and delivered from Tesla before you can proceed with installation.

We are beyond happy with our choice to use Faraday to install our Tesla charger. They responded to my inquiry asap. Albert messaged me what they needed to see, sent it to him, and shortly after had an invoice and schedule for the next day between 8-10. Next day Carlos was here at 8 (punctual, exactly what you want for an install). He was in and out in 30 minutes because of the incredible amount of skill he has. He cleanly installed it, labeled it, and mounted the charger. Couldn't be any more happier with the service Carlos, Albert, and the team at Faraday provided and at a good price as well. I was thoroughly pleased with the service I received from Faraday Electric in installing my Tesla wall charger. They are located in San Diego but have an office in Palo Alto, and there were no communication problems between the two locations. Sebastian was extremely helpful and responsive in taking my order, obtaining the necessary information, and advising me about my options, and the ordering process was easy and smooth. Manny and Carlos, the installers, were on time, friendly, professional, and efficient.. The installation went without a hitch, except that when they were finished, the microwave wouldn't turn on. They did a thorough check and found that a wire in the panel had not been connected properly when it was installed 20 years ago, and it had come loose during their work. They fixed it, and all is good! I would strongly recommend this company.

I am very impressed with the quality of service I was given by Faraday Electric. The specialist Kevin who installed my Tesla wall charger definitely over-delivered. He was in communication with me throughout the entire process, informing me of what I would expect. He told me it would take about an hour but he completed everything in half the time. I was informed of all the details about owning the wall-charger and if there were any issues he said he would back out. The installation is covered under 3-years warranty and I feel very happy with their total process from the detail of their quotation to the clear explanation after the installation. My experience with Faraday Electric was nothing short of exceptional. As a very internet-focused person, I really appreciated their professional website, which allowed for me to upload details and pictures about my project rather than have to talk with someone on the phone and have someone come out for an estimate.

I received a proposal from Faraday within a day, which itself was extremely professional and official, with mocked-up photos, calculations, and minute details about the job. It was a very well put together package and the price was in line with other estimates I received from other companies.

And within a day of agreeing to the proposal, Carlos was on-site and had my new charger installed in just over an hour or so. He was super professional and even accommodated a specific request for how to route the conduit for the outlet.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely reach out to them first for future electrical needs.

Hats off to Faraday Electric -- quick response to my email, text, and phone inquiry and follow-ups; quick appointment; knowledgeable and exceptionally nice electrician who showed up right on time and did the job perfectly.  In fact, so well that we said -- as long as you're here ... and he handled three more projects for us in our home. This crew is awesome! I called about a Tesla Charger install and they didn't try to price gouge me as some others did with their quotes. They sent over a very detailed quote with exactly what to expect. Rudy reached out to me to set up a day and time that worked and I asked if they could accommodate the early side of the time frame(8a-10a) due to my work schedule and he had Carlos there right on time at 8am. Carlos was friendly and knowledgeable. you could tell he had done a number of these before and had it installed in a hour.  Because of this great service I had them back out for a ceiling fan install. Once again it was Carlos and not only was he on time, he was there a little early which was helpful for my work schedule.

The communication throughout both projects was excellent.

Can't speak highly enough on this operation. If you need an electrician, this is your team!

I ordered a new Tesla and all of a sudden it was ready. I thought I'd have to wait a while, but it was only a few weeks. I asked a friend who he had used and he referred me. I went to the web site and filled everything out including all the photos of the garage.

Their guy came out and was polite and professional. I had to run to pick up my car, and he finished install and showed my wife how to remove and replace the charge head. They handled the permits and everything went smoothly. My new Tesla spent its first night at home snug in the garage charging away.

Had Faraday install a 240w outlet in my garage for a level 2 charger.  They were fast, professional and the price was very reasonable.  It was a big job as I have a long single level house with my main breaker box on the complete opposite side from my garage where I needed the outlet (of course!) They installed a 240V outlet for our electric vehicle. Found them on Yelp and was not disappointed with their service and price-point...competitive! Quoted over the phone and was provided so much detail on the scope of the project, even with digital renderings and proof of insurance. They only piece of advise, which I did communicate to them, was that I found out during the installation of another option that would have been available to me as well. I told them not to forget to present all options to a potential customer, even if they are more expensive, as they might actually be preferable. They did a top-notch job and I was shown all of the work and all questions answered. It is to combination of those who answer the phones, send the email communications and install the equipment that made Faraday Electric a great experience.

They provided the most detailed estimate my husband and I had ever seen, which reassured us that this company has very experienced electricians and that they have taken the time to map out every detail. I was referred to this company through the Tesla App. I called to install a Tesla wall connector. I spoke with Ivan who quoted me $375 for city permits.  A few hours later i spoke with my HOA and was told my complex was already approved and EV wired. I called the next morning and sent numerous emails asking to cancel and refund me. After trying to reach someone they said ok and sent me an email invoice with the credit to my account. Days and weeks went by and i never got refunded to my account. Again, i keep calling and finally someone answers and says that they will mail me a check. Two weeks have gone by and i haven't received a check for my refund. I call back and they say the check was mailed and they'll call me back with the tracking number.  Never heard back from them. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company and found a different company to install the wall connector. This company has horrible customer service and should not be in business. Buyer Beware!

Kevin from Faraday Electric came out to install a new charger for us in our garage and his service was exceptional. Kevin was very friendly, informative, and quick with the installation work. He took the time to answer my questions about best electrical practices and even graciously offered to take a look at another electrical issue we had which was not part of the scheduled job.

Aside from Kevin's fantastic in person service, we otherwise also appreciated how quickly Faraday Electric was able to get our job scheduled. They had a faster turnaround compared to other businesses whom we were obtaining quotes from.

I've used Faraday Electric twice now to install a 240v outlet in my garage for my EV.  The quoting system is extremely easy and just requires a few pictures from the requester.  I mainly communicated with Rudy who was able install our EV outlet in our original house while we weren't home which was awesome.  The 2nd time I reached out, he was able to get the San Diego team to swing on up to Temecula to install another 240v outlet in our new home.  Best part was, both quotes were exactly the same.  I expected a mark up for being out of the way but nope, no change. The 2nd time did take a little longer to get a team out to the house but that's mostly due to COVID19 (luckily we have a super charger near our home that got us through the 2 weeks of not having a home charger).  

I highly recommend Faraday Electric for EV installation.  Their quotes are very thorough and customer service is top notch.  Thank you Rudy and team for getting us up and running.

Was quoted a few months ago in regards to a panel upgrade. Called last Thursday (IN THE MORNING) to follow up because I was ready to finally upgrade. I spoke with ADAM, informed him that i spoke with the city and was given the green light to upgrade. He brought up my previous quote as mentioned above (it was still in the system) and then told me that prices have change since I was quoted, but then he told me he would speak with someone on his end to see if they could honor my previous quote and he would give me a call back. So i was like cool, ok this shouldn't take long. So, i waited a few hours for a return call hoping they would honor my previous quote....NOTHING. 5PM Friday came around AND NOTHING, NO CALL. So im like, ok, he will probably call monday. I got home from work this afternoon and STILL NO PHONE CALL. I mean how long does it take to ask a freaking question? Apparently long enough, because when I called the dimwit today HE TOLD ME HE DID NOT RECALL......DID. NOT. RECALL SPEAKING LAST WEEK AND TELLING ME HE WAS GOING TO SEE IF THEY COULD HONOR MY QUOTE!!!!! ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS? I waited all this freaking time for ADAM WHOEVER THE HELL, to get my hopes up and then freaking lie to me and tell me he doesn't recall. WOW!!! That right there says A LOT! This company is a FUCKING JOKE and a waste of time!

I was willing to pay. LOOOKS LIKE YOU IDIOTS ARE OUT OF $4K.

I shopped around for a quote and came across this vender on Yelp. They had really good reviews here, many five stars, so i decided to give them a call.

I spoke on the phone with Albert and sent him pictures of everything with the objective of getting a quote. He insisted that we start on the proposal (a step after quote). I then mentioned to Albert that I had received a quote from a competitor for $300 and asked whether they would price-match. Albert initially said yes, tried to push for a higher price, I refused to proceed, and so he said they could do for for $250-$300.

Thereafter, I provided my personal contact information to help get the proposal started. 4-5 hours later, nothing in my inbox, called to remind them, and then the proposal finally arrived. One thing I would give them credit for is that their proposal was very good and professional-looking, like nothing I had seen before. But, the quote in the proposal jumped to $600!

I called again and spoke with another gentleman (not Albert) who asked me to provide a variety of documentation, including proof of the competitor quote, for them to be able to price-match. He added that since he didn't work on the proposal (Albert did), he would have Albert call me back regardless.

Next day at around 2 PM, without a phone call from Albert and before my sending anything, I received an email from them indicating they will not price-match. Period.

I wasted two days with this vendor.

I requested a quote from various electrcians suggested on Tesla website and off. I was very pleased with Faradays timely responses and the quality and detailed 12 page quote with pictures and information they provided me. The quote was also the most competitive. From when i made initial email communications to the time of the install was approx two days. On install day, the electrician that showed up were all great people. Fun to chat with and didnt mind me peeking over their shoulder to learn a few things myself.

Its really a sigh of relief when you find tradesmen that is available, does quality work, keeps to schedule, and has good prices.

I would recommend them and will do business with them again in the future.

I was sent a detailed proposal with all the information I needed to make an informed decision. I was even able to schedule next day installation! The electrician showed up within the first half hour of my time slot. He was really nice and very professional. He gave me a quick explanation of what he would be doing before he got to work and showed me everything he did once he was done. He told me it would take around 45 minutes and that was accurate. We hired Faraday Electric to install a 240V 60 amp circuit breaker for a Tesla Wall Connector with 48 amp output, and we also wanted them to obtain the permit for us.   The process for the project was quick and efficient from start to finish.

I sent some measurements and photos of the eletrical panel and the general path to where I wanted the Tesla Wall Connector to be installed.   On the same day Rudy got back to me with a detailed summary of the proposed project, load calculation (which probably wasn't necessary for an electrical layman such as myself), proof of license, proof of liability insurance and proposed invoice.  Rudy also told me that they could come out as early as the next day.

I spent a little time getting other quotes.  I found one electrician with poor availability that might be slightly less money, and I got another quote from a company whose price was obnoxiously high at more than double Faraday's price.   All three were Tesla Certified (which may not be necessary, but is a plus).  I chose Faraday because I saw the neatness of their work at a neighbor's house who recommended them, their price was reasonable, and their process was straight forward.

I highly recommend getting several quotes because the obnoxious quote came from a company that many Yelp reviewers said had reasonable prices.

I contacted Rudy to let him know that I had chosen them and they were able to send someone the next day.  They also contacted me the morning of service to confirm expected arrival and to let me know they would start the permit process.

Kevin arrived on time for the install and was pleasant with a great attitude.   I had asked Faraday to consider running the wire through the attic, but I had indicated that I was OK with solid conduit if going 100% through the attic was too inefficent.  Kevin came up with a great solution such that I only had conduit on one wall. Conduit looks fine in a garage anyway, but it was nice that he could minimize it.  Kevin cleaned up and I gave him check  to pay for the service.   Within an hour or so Ana had emailed me a Paid invoice.

I needed to have an EV Charging station installed in my garage for an electric car I was buying.  I called three different electrical companies and had quotes ranging from $485 to $885.  I chose Faraday Electric not just because they had the lowest quote. I contacted quite a few electricians listed on Tesla's website. Some of them were slow in responding and some of them gave outrageous  quotes. This company was assigned by Tesla when I placed an order to purchase the wall connector. It took only two days from first call I received to a fully installed wall collector in my garage. These guys are awesome! They were very responsive, answering every text message within seconds. On top of that, their quote was most competitive among six electricians I talked to. I was always very much impressed by the proposal they prepared. It showed all information with pictures of installation rendering. They found best way to route the power from the sub-panel to the location where the charger was installed. From the proposal, eDoc signing, installation, to the final payment, it was a real smooth sailing. I highly recommend this company for your EV charging station installation.

I bought a Tesla and needed a wall charger installed I reached out to Faraday as they were referred by Tesla. The appointment process and getting someone out to do the work was good. I was charged a little over 500 dollars to include permits or so I thought. The guy came out and did the work the next day. Looking through my paperwork I was charged a minimum for conduit usage. They however did not use any conduit since it was installed directly behind my wall breaker. When I asked if they can move it they questioned me and I'm assuming it was because it was more work. In a sense I was tricked into allowing them Mount the charger behind the breaker box saving them conduit and making a profit. I guess this was something I was ok with. The real issue happened when I requested my permit. So the company tells you they charge a fee of 150 to file the permit but what they don't tell you and they leave in small print that there is another charge which is the permit price . I had contacted the company prior to realizing there's a permit price to inquire about my permit since I had not been given any information on it. This was almost a month after installation and the only reason I reached out was because I had Tesla come out to inspect for panels and they asked for a permit which forced me to ask. I was told they filed it and we were waiting on the city finally the city approved the permit and faraday reached out and advised me the permit was approved but they needed me to pay the additional permit price fee and then I would receive my permit. I paid the additional after some frustration and it's been a week now since I've paid it and still have not received the permit. I reached out via email and never got a response. Luckily I had a phone number and I txt messaged the status and a different guy replied saying they don't know what is holding up my permits at first he said it's because permits take some time . I told him I had already been told it was approved and faraday was only waiting for final payment from me and as soon as they got it I would receive the permit. He then said ok then there may be an issuance stage and the guy in charge was on vacation. I was told he would ask about the hold up but it's been well over a month going on two months since installation and still no permit to this day. I find it unprofessional that I did not receive any information to my email request and they received the money from me no issue yet when I inquire about my permit I have to go through hoops to get very little information. I would suggest new customers to fully inquire about this process and know the communication on this is vague and poor. Personally I would feel more comfortable with updates on status of permits  every now and then. This way I know I didn't get scammed out of my money. Total now I've spent on the permit was 420 dollars the price of install was another 420 for a total of 840 dollars. By no means is this a small amount but if I am to pay for a service the least they can do is have communication.

Having our Tesla Wall Charger version 3 placed at a central location and a NEMA 14-50 replacing the previous NEMA 14-30 for external charging near the front of our garage installed by Faraday Electric is an interesting experience but a good one after all is said and done.  With the breakers merry go round to accommodate the modifications, they nailed it.  It is a plus to not have another breakout panel.

Despite the initial confusion due to slight modification of configuration while on site at our house, they came back the very next day to address the concern/hiccup.  José, Blaine and the rest of the crew involved were very courteous and quick to respond to have the mixup resolved within 24 hours.

Although unrelated to some degree, the Venmo payment experience was seamless which I had to set up ahead of time since I didn't want to pay the extra credit card surcharge/fee.  Give yourself at least 4 business days prior to the appointment to have that setup if you do not have a Venmo account already set up.

Faraday installed a 60A, 240V circuit, and Tesla Wall Connector.

We were given a 8-9 am window for install start. We received a text at 7:55 am notifying us that Kevin (electrician) would be on site at 8:20. Kevin showed up at 8:20.

Kevin reviewed our main electrical panel, sub-panel, and the pre-run conduit. He explained options for mounting and then got to work. The install was done at 9:30 am. The system was tested and Kevin again explained the details.

Couldn't have asked for an easier team to work with, highly recommend.

I am extremely satisfied with Faraday Electric.  I had a Tesla Wall Connector installed today and it was a first class experience the whole way.  It starts with their excellent website which guides you to provide them with enough information for them to assess the project you are planning.  The estimate is very detailed and put together professionally and is clear for a layman to understand.  The price was very competitive.  The communication is excellent and timely and any questions you have are addressed.  Finally, the installation was done very well by consummate professionals.  In my case, Blaine and Russell did a fantastic job explaining what they were doing and making sure I was satisfied with the end product all while being extremely courteous.  I believe Faraday is expanding from SoCal to NorCal.  I highly recommend them to any other Bay Area residents for any of their electrical needs!!!!

I rarely write reviews but Faraday Electric deserves a great one! Their price to install a Tesla wall charger was 1/3 of what others quoted and the service was excellent. The folks who scheduled the appointment were super friendly and answered all my many questions, and when the charger arrived late due to a FedEx delay (not Faraday's fault) they promptly rescheduled for the following day. Zowee - Thanks to Yelp reviewers for identifying Faraday Electric as an excellent installer of Tesla wall connector chargers!

Within the next couple of weeks, I'll be receiving my new Tesla Model 3.  Tesla website identified a dozen or so recommended installers of charging stations.  I of course used Yelp to narrow field to best of the best.  First, I contacted two other highly rated installers.  First company said they had a 12-week lead time.  Second company quoted a ballpark price which seemed high and said a technician would have to conduct a site visit to determine installation requirements and final quote.  Other reviewers noted Faraday's process allows applicant to upload site photos to Faraday website.  I then accessed Faraday website to create application.  Wow, how easy and unconfused Faraday makes application process!  Each step of the application is very specific on what type of photo (outside electric panel, interior location for charger, etc.) is desired.  I submitted online application with desired photos.  Two business days later via Email I received a very detailed, 10-page Faraday scope of work document with final quote.  Scope of work document utilized satellite views, Google drive by images along with photos I had provided.  Kudos to Faraday for harnessing technology to eliminate multiple site visits!  Faraday's final quote was approximately half amount quoted by other company.  

I phoned Faraday to accept quote and schedule installation a few days later.  Celso arrived as scheduled and did a terrific job installing additional breaker to outside electrical panel, routing new electrical line and installing Tesla charger (photo attached).  Again, kudos to Faraday for a terrific process from start to finish!

My wife and I recently purchased a Tesla and needed an 14-30 electrical outlet installed in my garage to charge the vehicle.  I found Faraday Electric on Yelp and whom is also recommended by Tesla here in San Diego.  I went to their website and requested a quote.  I got a reply from Rudy the same day and sent in pictures of my panel and the location of where I wanted the outlet installed. I was then sent a scope of work for installation, which was a very detailed outline of the entire job.  It had calculations of what my panel can handle, materials used along with a picture of what the installation would look like.  Rudy was quick to respond to my every question and gave me the confidence that the work would be safe and professional.  Faraday Electric actually was the lowest and most professional quote I received out of 5 local companies.  The fact that Rudy was very responsive and knowledgeable really assured me that this was the right company to go with.

The installation was performed by Celso and Thomas who arrived on time. They inspected my electrical panel, current wiring and location of where I wanted the 14-30 outlet.  They are very familiar with the electrical code and answered many of my questions. Installation was quick and looked clean.  They tested the outlet first then had me plug in my car which charged fine.  After they completed the install, they cleaned up and gave me instructions and tips on use and maintenance of my new outlet.

Overall, I had a great experience using Faraday Electric.  I definitely will call them back to do other projects around the house.  I'm going to recommend them to all my friends and EV owners in search of an outlet install.  Once again thank you Rudy, Celso and Thomas for all the hard work that you do.

We hired Faraday Electric to install an outlet to charge a Tesla Model Y and our experience was exceptionally wonderful. A different electrician told us we'd have to trench another line from our main panel to our detached garage since there was not enough power, however this was not the case. They estimated the job would be in the thousands.

After contacting Faraday Electric, Adam J. requested pictures of the existing panels and determined not only could we use the existing conduit, but that the installation of a 240v NEM 14-50 outlet would be sufficient for our use, miles driven each day, etc. Adam sent a detailed Scope of Work proposal which included a Load Calculation Worksheet for each panel which showed we have capacity. He also included their proof of license and liability insurance, which was a welcomed assurance.

Eric C. was the Electrician who installed the 240V outlet and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He explained what he was going to do, where the outlet would be located and how to use it. We were so impressed with his work that we brought him into the house to have him get information to install four hanging lights.

From start to finish, we were done in 2 days. Amazing. Faraday Electric is now our go-to electric company for future needs. The numerous 5 star ratings are no coincidence.

I shopped around a couple of options, and Faraday is the most impressive one to me. I received a very detailed installation & design report within a half-day, and their price is very competitive. In most of the cases in the quote stage, stores usually give the cost or design idea verbally or in a short message; thus, I am quite impressed when I received a professional design report from them. Also, Faraday gives reasonable advice to me based on my need. Instead of encouraging me to install a more expensive option - an EV charger, they recommend me doing the NEMA outlet only since I don't drive a lot per day. In short, I think they are quite professional and honest to customers. I recommend this store!

We chose Faraday to install a Tesla wall connector because it's a Tesla-approved electrician, it specializes in EV chargers, and it gets great reviews. Those reviews are justified. Faraday did a terrific job from start to finish.

After I sent photos of our main electric panel and our inside subpanel, Kelvyn called to go over a few questions and then sent an extraordinarily detailed proposal, which described the scope of the work and included mock-ups of my photos showing what the charger and conduits would look like in place. When I requested a change of location for the charger, Kelvyn promptly redid the photos to show the new location. I was offered several possible installation appointments, including one the next day. I chose a convenient date, and I was given an estimated time of arrival for the installation team.

On the day of installation, Kevin and Abel arrived earlier than promised and completed the work in less than 2 hours. They were efficient, professional, and careful, fully answering our questions and making sure that we understood how to set up and use the new charger. We're very happy with the result. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Faraday for installation of an EV charging device.

This company does excellent work and is very professional . We had them do the installation so we can charge our new Tesla X and our Porsche Taycan. Rudy,  not sure if he's the owner or manager, was very professional, fast, and a pleasure to work with. We got quoted on Thursday night and by Friday morning, the work was completed and now I can charge my vehicles. The other companies I called were quoting two weeks out. Everything about my experience with Faraday Electric was EASY. I put in an outlet for my new Tesla but I live in an apartment building so the installation wasn't straight forward. Jorge came to my place exactly on time (I think this shows an attitude I like) and we discussed the installation at length. Ultimately we arrived at the best solution and a quote was on the way. The quote included more information than normal. It included an one line diagram and other detailed information that showed the available capacity of my service. We scheduled for 2 days later. The job was completed on time, everything was cleaned up, with no hassle. Not only that but the piping & fittings look perfect!!! Incredible job, as an electrician for 25 years I'm real picky and I couldn't have done that good of a job.
Bottom line is I'm happy and will use Faraday Electric again.

I had a charging station installed in my garage for my plug-in hybrid Subaru Crosstrek.  Our circuit panel was completely full so I've been sharing my 240 dryer outlet with my level 2 charger.  That was not
very convenient, considering the plugs had to be swapped out whenever I needed to use one or the other.  The dryer outlet, of course, is way behind the dryer, not easy to reach for a small person like myself and it was very easy to drop a cord down in back.

I'm so happy this problem has been solved!  Now, thanks to Faraday Electric, I have a junction box, a new circuit breaker and two outlets, one for each plug.  It is so convenient not to have to switch out the plugs with the dryer.  But I do have to be mindful not to charge my car if the dryer is on or visa versa, or the circuit breaker will be tripped.  

I'm very happy with my decision to go with Faraday Electric.  They were able to assess the situation by my photos, evaluate it to determine where the work would be done and to give a bid based on the photos.  Rudy was very patient, narrowing down the scope of the photos until he had a good grasp of the work site.  (Much better than having to adjust your schedule to get someone over just to give the bid.)

I considered many possibilities of how to solve the problem of having two plugs and one outlet.  But instead of going with a cheap splitter from The Home Depot, which possibly could cause a fire if both units were used at the same time, I'm sleeping much better knowing my system is safe.  (Especially important as we age and may not be aware of the other appliance being on.)  To me the price was well worth it!

PS.  It has been almost 2 months and 1,000 mi without putting gas in my plug-in hybrid Crosstrek, whereas I used to fill my Honda CRV about every 3 weeks. I am saving not only the cost of the gas but the cost of the  time to fill up.  With our home solar system, I feel I'm running on sunshine!   I'm completely sold!

I was referred to Faraday Electric EV through Tesla after purchasing the Wall Connector.  I contacted Faraday directly and took all required pics.  Faraday sent back a detail report and the layout of how the installation would look afterward.  Plus, Faraday offered the lowest installation cost among several quotes I received.  The installation was arranged the day after the pricing was agreed on for the charger plus an additional 240V/20A outlet.  The installation was smooth, took about 1 hr 30 min to complete.  The installer was friendly, professional, and competent.  He initially showed an outlet that I wasn't familiar with, so I asked if he could change it to a NEMA 6-20; he agreed with no cost to me.  Could not be more happier with the result.  I arranged for all city permits myself and got approved quickly for the job.  Fantastic!  Would not hesitate to recommend Faraday Elec. to anyone!

Had a really good experience with Faraday Electric installing a Tesla Wall Connector. I requested multiple quotes through Yelp and they were the most responsive and informative. My assigned rep, Kelvyn went as far as providing a wiring diagram, load calculation, a ton of information and a full scope of work in my quote (before we even agreed on anything). Price was super competitive too. Felt Faraday was the most transparent, and well organized company that reached out. The great experience continued through the planning and scheduling phases. Great communication throughout. Installer, Carlos, arrived early and did a fantastic job installing the Tesla Wall Connector. When discussing placement and what not, you can tell he has installed a few of these and knew what he was talking about. I have a lot going one with sub-panels, solar, and other equipment /rain gutter in the area but Carlos knew his codes and where he could and couldn't go with it. I picked the final spot based on how we'll be using the charger and it turned out great. The job was super clean and he cleaned up very well after himself. I was explained everything and reminded of the 3 year warranty on their work if anything went wrong once my car arrived. Solid experience. Highly recommend Faraday Electric. I have now used Faraday Electric twice within the past year. Last June, they ran a 240V line from our main panel to the garage for EV charging. And last week, they upgraded our main panel from 100A to 200A. Both times, their lead electrician (Robert) did a great job not just with the installation itself, but also walking me through the work he had performed and patiently answering all my questions. You should go with Faraday for your EV charging and main panel needs.

When I called, we discussed the best plan for my plug in hybrid electrical plug. I took a few pictures and got a quote within an hour. The electricians who came out were quick and did a great job. They also warranty their work for 3 years. If you are on the fence about buying a 240V plug. At first I got the adapter, it took almost 7 hours to charge my Honda plug in. With the 240 plug, it takes under 3 hours. from friends that have a Telsa, 120V can take up to 24 hours to charge a Tesla and charging a Tesla 100% all the time can kill your battery.

Jorge was very knowledgeable, accessible, and accommodating. They got the job done well with updating our 60amp panel to a 200 amp panel and also installing a nema charger. They hit a road block on designing the panel but got creative. The one critique is that I wish they had been more transparent with the estimate and final cost. Rudy and Jorge followed up with me to discuss after bringing it to their attention. In all the experience good and would go back to them again so long as they fix that aspect of the miscommunication with the final cost.

Faraday originally came out to look at a broken drier plug which was going to be used for an electric car charger. They instead assessed the situation and recommended an upgrade to nema 14-50 (Works faster), and did it all at a very reasonable price.

Robert from Faraday Electric just finished our (first?) EV charging station (and 240V install) inside our garage at home.  Rudy & Jorge sent us a bid the SAME DAY we requested it, and their Scope of Work included EVERYTHING we needed from them to submit for our Building Permit (which took only 30 minutes).  Faraday's bid was less than another Company's bid that only sent us an Invoice (!)

Faraday Electric was a pleasure to do business with.  I called them for two Tesla electric outlet install.  They asked for pictures of garage and then promptly responded with a schematic of the install, detailed explanation, license and cost.  Did not expect all the detail and was very impressed.  Carlos did the install and was beyond knowledgeable and meticulous.  Absolutely perfectly done. Carlos was also very professional and friendly which always helps and is appreciated! He answered all of my questions throughout the process which took over 2 1/2 hours. (he had to install conduits for both outlets which took some time. He did such an impeccable job you can't even tell they are there) .  Their pricing was competitive as well. New conduit and wiring was ran under the house directly to where the car will charge and the end result was very clean. Found them on the Tesla website as one of the recommended electricians to install Tesla Wall Connectors in the San Diego area. I went on the website and followed the directions of pictures they would need to get an initial quote for the installation. I got an immediate response from Rudy. He was very knowledgeable about the service and answered all of my questions. I was expecting at least $2k quote for installation and was pleasantly surprised that Rudy gave me a quote well below that estimate. The day of installation Blaine was the electrician assigned for the job. He was very punctual and completed the task in less than half an hour. He took the time to go over with me everything I would need to know. He even went above and beyond fixed an outlet plate that was loose on the same wall. The two electricians that showed up we're both wearing masks so that was a big plus. They were also professional yet laid back and cool. They got right to the issue and solved it within minutes and we're finished within 30 minutes. Super friendly, explained what had gone wrong that caused the issue with the entire AC in my house to go out, and I was super happy that what I had been quoted by Jose was what I actually was charged! Faraday was the third place I called -the first two said they'd have the office manager or the electrician call me to set up appt, but guess what? Neither happened. I spoke with Jose, who I believe is the owner, and he immediately got my info, what the issue was, and told me he'd text me with the time his electrician would be out the VERY NEXT DAY! The other two places didn't have a clue when an electrician could come out.

Anyhow, based on my experience, Faraday is the way to go if you need an electrician. The price was reasonable, the electricians were professional yet cool, and on a side note: the name of the company is the best I've seen for an electric company - Faraday* Electric.

I worked with Faraday for the installation of a Tesla wall connector and highly recommend them. They were incredibly responsive and provided the most thorough and clear quote I have ever received, outlining all the details of the install with labeled visuals and everything. Their price was the also the best of all quotes I received and much more affordable than I expected, although I would have expected it to cost more given the level of experience and high quality service throughout the full process. Robert was the specialist who came out and was wonderful, he was knowledge, professional and friendly. I was surprised by how easy and fast the whole process was from initially requesting information through the install and feel very confident in the work done and level of expertise. I opted to follow up and take care of the city permit myself (this can be done after), but this is something you can pay a bit extra for and have them also take care of for you, which a nice option. Terrific experience every step of the (short and easy) way. Jorge, the owner, did my consultation. Leo did the installation. Faraday Electric saved me about $1,150. Why? Knowledge and even more importantly, Integrity. Quote responses from other traditional electrical contractors ranged from no response, to rushed and inaccurate with insistence on doing unnecessary and expensive work. Because of his honesty, and his expertise in both electricity and Tesla's cars (Jorge worked for Tesla when the company had fewer than 2,000 employees worldwide --The number of people employed full-time by Tesla came to 48,817 at the end of 2018. ), Jorge was able to advise we adapt an unused 220 outlet (from previous home owner's gas dryer) for my new Tesla Model 3 home charger. Grand total of $225--and the work was completed within 24 hours.

Faraday was installing an outlet for my Tesla. After requesting a bid, Jose emailed an electronic packet of documents outlining the work. The packet was so complete that I can use it to get a permit from the city of Encinitas. The electrician, Blaine, was fast, efficient, professional and courteous. I really enjoyed watching him work. We recently purchased a Tesla and needed an 14-30 electrical outlet installed to charge the vehicle.  I found Faraday Electric on the Tesla site and based on recommendations requested a quote. I got a quick reply and in a few hours they sent a very detailed outline of the entire job and a quote. I solicited quotes from several companies, but Faraday's was not only the most professional quote, but also the cheapest.  They were able to schedule and complete the job as promised in the scope of work and it was done in a very timely manner.

Being a new Tesla owner, I did not quite understand all the different types of home charging plugs and scenarios.  I contacted several of the Tesla recommended contractors and all of them seemed shallow in their approach to quoting my home scenarios. Not Faraday!  The owner took his time with me and even came to my home whereas none of the other contractors did. Faraday came over, measured and gave my unique scenario an incredible plan and pricing scenarios.  They completed the job swiftly and cleanly.  The whole team were true professionals!  Turns out that the owner actually did work for Tesla before he started Faraday.  This put me at ease and I am totally pleased with their service and pricing.  Vamos Faraday!!!

My installation tech Blaine was AWESOME!! Came to my home, did EXACTLY what was expected in regards to the work being performed, and gave clear instructions on usage. I had Faraday install a Tesla Wall Charger at home and unfortunately not everything went right. The owner of the company himself came to my home first thing in the morning the day after finding out about the issue, he was easy to communicate and work with, and took care of the issue. Nowadays the bar set by contractors is that if they show up on time they are already ahead of the curve, but Faraday went the extra step in making this a painless experience despite the obstacles we ran into. Absolutely cannot recommend higher. Rudy from Faraday was highly responsive and took care of my questions promptly. After submitting an inquiry on Yelp I received a message within about 30 minutes with all the info they need which was just the basics: name/address/phone/EV model/etc. and photos of the electrical panel and where I wanted it installed. Within a few hours I received a highly detailed estimate that included all of the charging info, location, parts list, and proposal. I accepted their proposal which was more than fair and scheduled the install within a day. Tech arrived early, was efficient and clean and was done within an hour, and he explained the connector to me before leaving. Great service!

We needed a Tesla wall connector installed. I emailed out to a number of Tesla's recommended electricians. Faraday Electric was the first to reply. Rudy sent me a number of examplar images so that I can take similar pictures to send him for assessment of our current setup. We communicated via text, calls and emails through this process. Great customer service!!  I reached out to 3 companies to learned about the EV outlet installation process and to obtain pricing for a NEMA 6-50 or 14-50.  Faraday was the most responsive and also had the most competitive price.  Jose was very tolerant of ALL my questions and always responded quickly (either via phone or text).  The installer was just as friendly and helpful.  The install was fast and smooth and he took the time to explain how he repurposed the dryer to accommodate the Tesla charger.  Thanks Faraday!

I am buying a new Electric Vehicle and needed a new, high power, plug added to my garage. After soliciting 7 vendors for the effort, I selected Faraday. This was a great call. Not only were they completely certified and insured, but they were professional, timely, and very customer focused! We even had to move a man - sized cabinet in the garage.. no problem, we will help you. Whole effort was done and function checked inside an hour. They even acknowledged my veteran status.

Leo came by to install a security camera and flood light. He was on time, quick, and showed me how to install the app on my cellphone. Wow! Really impressed by Jorge and his team at Faraday. They installed our Tesla wall connector in under an hour and went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and answer all my questions. The estimate they sent was a 10-page document with pictures, layouts, line diagrams and all sorts of technical stuff, including other important business details about Faraday's operations. It was extremely well documented and thorough and gave me greater peace of mind to go with them over another company. Jorge actually drove up to Carlsbad to meet me and sync up with his employee, Daniel, to make sure everything was just right. They're also listed on Tesla's website as an approved vendor. Very happy customer. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

In my request for a quote with several companies, Faraday Electric's reply was the most professional (with project description, load calculation, license and cert of liability insurance). Since I was out of spare on my panel, Faraday rearranged the circuits and added a quad-30amp circuit which saved me (cost and permit time) from replacing my whole electrical panel. Their quote was fair and very competitive.

The work was scheduled for Saturday, which worked out well for me. Installation was on time, quick and very well done. The electrician was professional and kept the work area very clean.

I submitted the request and within 30 mins, Alex response right away.  Told him I wanted Tesla Wall Connector Get-3 with 60 amp.  He sent some sample of pictures of what Faraday wants to review.  Jose, Energy Adviser, review/design and propose with estimate, showing detail diagram and plan, license, proof of insurance and invoice.  I accepted the cost and approved to go ahead.  I have been communicating with Jose prior to install day.  I told him Tesla has scheduled delivery sooner than I expected and he made things happen prior to pickup new model Y within couple of days.  Blaine, installer, professional and knowledgeable, quick and fast.  Installed amp/switch, installed Tesla Wall Connector, I didn't see any wires but looks great.  He has answered all questions I have.  Very clean installed and so fast.  Very pleasant to work with.  They are all professional, knowledgeable and friendly.  They listen what I have to say and they seem to know what they are doing.  I am very pleased & satisfied overall.  Highly recommend Faraday Electric to anyone.  If I need any electrical help in the future, will definitely talk to them first.

George and Robert were very professional from estimate to execution of our home car charger! The price was fair, they came up with a presentation on the plan for setup. The final product was beyond our expectations and you can barely see the wiring around the house. The breaker box is a little far from our driveway so I was worried that we would have big ugly wires everywhere but that wasn't the case at all. I would recommend them to anyone considering getting an EV home charger.

I had Faraday Electric install a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage for my EV charging purposes. I was first impressed by how detailed their quoting process was. You get an extremely detailed document describing all aspects of the job even before you commit to them. From start to finish, Faraday's employees were professional, courteous, responsive, and efficient. I used Faraday Electric for some general electrical work.  I needed an outdoor 110V outlet installed that required trenching and the line to be buried.  Albert managed the project and he was seriously on top of it, very communicative, and professional.  He handled everything including submitting the DigAlert ticket, pulling the permits, and organizing all of the appointments.  I'm blown away by how smoothly the whole process went.  The electricians, Robert and Kevin, who did the work onsite were also great.  They were friendly, professional, efficient, and did quality work.  I would highly recommend them.

I contacted Faraday when I was considering a lease for a Kia Niro EV and needed to have a charging station in our garage.  I received a phone call from Rudy that evening and he asked a few questions about the current set up in my house.  He asked me to send him pictures of our electric panel, the current location of our 240 circuit and the location where the new circuit was needed.   In addition, I asked him about several of the chargers I was looking at, and he provided me with some useful information to help me make the decision.

I received a comprehensive proposal from Rudy the next day with pricing that was extremely fair.

I received a follow up call the next day to make sure I had received the proposal and to see if I had any questions.

Unfortunately, I did not end up leasing an EV but when I do so, I will definitely contract with Faraday for the EV charging station.  Their customer focus is second to none.

Very professional work from getting a quote all to the way to installation.  I've reviewed many quotes, this is the only company that provided a proposal as to how they would go about installing NEMA 14-50 with a detailed scope of work.  The other folks just say they can do it for X price but leave you wonder what they will install.  If certainty is the name of your game, then go with Faraday.

We were looking for an electrician to install an electric vehicle charger in our garage. Out of the handful of electricians I contacted, Faraday was one of the more responsive ones that gave detailed instructions (along with images) on how they could provide a quote to us quickly. Their quote came in significantly lower than the other electricians we contacted, so we decided to go with them based on price and good Yelp reviews. They had availability right away and installed our EV charger within a couple days of giving us the price quote. Good customer service throughout the process from quote, to scheduling, to final installation. They were late to the installation appointment since they were running late from a prior job, but they were communicative about it and managed our expectations appropriately. Would definitely work with Faraday Electric again.

Faraday responded to my quote AND sent someone out to see my place on the same day. They gave me several options for charging my Model 3, one of which was thousands cheaper than other companies who refused to send someone to see my unique situation. They provided a proposal for my HOA the next day, which was unanimously approved, and the installation was completed days later. They couldn't have made it easier, and without them, I wouldn't have a Tesla. Jorge genuinely wants people purchasing EVs and does everything possible to get you a solution that works. Jorge just finished installing my EV charger in my underground garage downtown. He managed the ENTIRE process in addition to the install, he filled out my building permit application, coordinated directly with the HOA, and scheduled the final inspection. I really like these guys. They were clear, responsive, flexible, and as best as I can tell...totally honest. Their pricing was competitive, and they clearly know their way around the Tesla charging issues. I was going to install a Tesla Wall Connector, but they saved me $500 by recommending instead that they do the NEMA 6-50 connector instead. Excellence from the initial contact to the finish of the installation. We feverishly reached out to the Faraday team after being stood up by a previously used large local Home Energy company that installed our solar panels and who is also a Tesla referred company. Jose and the team responded to my Yelp request late in the evening on a Thursday, sent me an easy list of info that they needed from me including illustrated example pictures of our home (which they modified to show what will be installed at our home), pics of our electrical panels and that was it. Hours letter I had a professional quote with a scope of work, pictures, all the contractor info and proof of insurance with a quote at the bottom. They had us scheduled 3 days later, Robert showed up on time and performed the work as per our SoW, cleaned up after, helped us configure our new Tesla Wall Connector and we were charging at 40 miles per hour, just like that. The Faraday Team was very through, and not confusing during the whole process. We will have them back when they are certified to install Tesla Battery Walls. I highly recommend Faraday. They are a model for how any service company should approach customer service!

Faraday Electric was a great overall experience. I needed a new outlet installed in my garage to charge my Tesla and decided to contact Faraday after seeing positive reviews online. I requested a quote for a NEMA 14-50 outlet installation through their website and quickly received a very detailed proposal and scope of work along with an estimate. Blaine showed up right on time, finished the work in a timely manner and left everything looking great. He even took it upon himself to install the Tesla charging cable organizer that I had still in the box sitting in the garage. I would definitely recommend using Faraday Electric!

I was initially impressed by Jorge and his professionalism for providing a quote for the installation of two Tesla wall chargers in my garage.  We had excellent communication via phone and email, and like others, he sent a detailed colorful document with photos, layouts, materials, insurance, etc for the job.  Unfortunately, he completely ghosted my wife and I after a week of discussions and didn't follow up, no returned calls, texts, etc for the next 2 weeks.  Even if he had decided not to take the job or act because of unanticipated difficulties, it would have been courteous for him to notify us (it's understandable that things come up).  I am going with another Tesla-certified electrician because Jorge's behavior demonstrates poor business follow-through.

I have a Tesla car, and a prior electrician installed the high powered wall charger. It failed, and I called Faraday Electric to come out and look at it. As it turns out, the other company I used did a poor install job and was the cause for failure. Faraday was very thorough with their assessment, tried troubleshooting the issue over the phone, etc. I felt they went the extra mile to try and assist. Hi!  If you are looking for an electrician/company that knows what they are doing with no hidden fees, look no further. From the moment I made the first contact with Jose I could tell this was the company we need to work with. I needed an outlet in my garage to be installed for a Tesla that should arrive late September and I was able to have all my questions answered professionally and with such ease to understand.  Every person I worked with over the phone/text/email and the electrician (Blaine) In person who arrived on time and in a mask was very professional, patient and kind.  I believe they will match prices but my husband made me call to get 3 quotes and this was the most fair. I did my research...looked on Next Door at recommendations, contacted Tesla to see who they recommend (Faraday was recommended), looked at other reviews of electricians nearby...made calls & not only that, you don't want to go with the cheapest but the most professional.  They sent me an email showing me exactly what would be done for the job with pictures and answered all my questions patiently and professionally. They were able to handle all the city permit and inspection part of the job too. Payment was easy...Venmo or credit card securely through an invoice. I would definitely use them again for any other electrical job.  I even got a follow up asking if I had any other questions plus have a 3 year warranty on the job that was done.  Definitely a 5 star experience.

Quick response they know what their value is and they know how much a service should cost . ONLY COMPANY THAT CHARGED CORRECTLY. Everyone else was charging me from 800-1,300 to install my charging station I was charged a fair $450 with these guys amazing work took less than 4 hours to install very polite staff .
