Very affordable company! Off the bat they were really nice and responded first out of everyone.
They had the cheapest price to remove a Tesla charger, everyone was charging the same price as if they were installing the charger!

Highly recommend!!

The electrician arrived on time and was courteous. He explained the steps he needed to take to complete the outlet installation and to run the conduit.

He was mindful of the debris that fell and cleaned after.

OC Pro Electric was under budget with what they quoted, communicated quickly and were very friendly!

They came over and just pushed the breaker and charged me for the whole hour.
Although I explained the problem and they could have just given me more hint on the phone. 15 mins drive shouldn't cost $90. Yes it's fair that their workers need to be compensated but not a good way to make people trust you to call you again next time.

Rick and Holden were excellent in installing my two pendant lights in my kitchen.

They were professional and arrived within the allotted time frame. Jim was very easy to communicate with, and he's quick to reply.

I reached out the Pro Electric on a Sunday because the outlets powering my appliances stopped working. Jim responded within 30 minutes of me calling and gave me some advice so he could have someone come out on Monday instead of a Sunday. That saved me from paying more for a weekend service call. Rick came to investigate the non-functioning outlets in my kitchen. It turns out it was a breaker switch that needed replacing. Rick showed up on time, and diagnosed and finished the work in less than 30 minutes. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely use their services again.

The electrician did a great job installing a ceiling fan. A very clean install and left no mess. I highly recommend them.

I contacted a few businesses on Yelp with a quick electric service I needed for my house. OC pro electric stood out, so I went with them out of the other choices. I'm extremely happy they're who I chose, they were extremely attentive and were able to get my problem figured out quickly. Had Rick come out to install a Tesla wall charger. Ran the wiring conduit through the garage wall, and up and over a garage door to the middle of the garage. Looks fantastic, works great. Solid communication from initial scheduling through the handoff to Rick day-of to do the work. Recommended.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Had Jim out yesterday. He arrived late. Seemed a bit disorganized. Apparently, someone else was originally scheduled to come out.  I guess they got tied up elsewhere.

Jim did nothing other than checkout the problems I'm having.  Declared that he was too old to crawl under my deck to check the wiring, there. He checked the power in a couple of outlets, in the house. That was it.

I had expected the job to be completed the same day, since they were supposed to be here originally between 2 and 3pm.  I  believe Jim showed up around 4:30pm.

As he left, he scheduled me for today, between 2 and 3pm.

Well, at 3:20pm I had heard nothing from him.  I texted and asked, Hey Jim.  Is someone coming?.  He texted back, No, Were still held up for the rest of the day at our large job.  I texted back, So, you're blowing me off?. Never heard a word from him.

COULD HE BE MORE UNCARING AND UNPROFESSIONAL?

Guess a small job doesn't interest him.  Wish he had said that, on the spot ... rather than tying me up all day ... for the second day.
My goodness.  It takes a lot to cause me to post a negative review. But Jim's behavior was totally unacceptable. Beware!

I'm writing this review as another electrician, from a reputable company ... Green Electric ...  is performing the work. Came out within a half hour and has everything I need, on his truck.  THE WAY IT SHOULD BE DONE!

These guys. Great to work with and have used them many times. Always pros and always come through, always find the time in the schedule to help me out. Highly reccommend.

I called and spoke with Jim on the phone, and he was just awesome.

I just had a new house fan installed a month ago. While running it today it all of a sudden shut down. I went out to my breaker box and sure enough it was tripped. I flipped it off and on and.....bummer still tripped.  So I called an electrician already girding my wallet in fear.

Turns out there was no need!  Not only did Jim hang with me on the phone while I crawled through my attic looking for the issue, when I did find the problem area he continued talking me through testing stuff to try and figure out if I really needed him to come out or not. Which as it turns out I did not, because the issue was due to improper fan installation.

So even though I didn't use Jim this time he's made me a customer for sure. I've never had an electrician talk to me and give me so much info on the phone without insisting to come out to the house. That type of customer service and honesty is hard to find these days and it goes a long way in my book.

When I do have my next issue come up you can be sure I'll be calling Jim again. Oh and on a side note his price is very reasonable so be sure you talk with him he gave me a good breakdown just off a couple of pictures I sent him, all very reasonable.

I really appreciated working with these guys.  The owner Jim has been able to help me with a few things since over text which is great.  

I had all my lights flickering in my house randomly on Thanksgiving.  I knew there had to be a loose connection somewhere but was not having any luck.  These guys came the day after thanksgiving (the day after I inquired) and solved the problem in 2 hours.    And also pointed out some issues I had been having with my Costco light switches and LEDs just from me mentioning it in passing.  Great help!

Needed a chandelier hung in my dining room in Huntington Beach.  They were able to fit me in the next day and installed the light quickly and professionally.  They did all this at the lowest price out of all bids.

Did not know these guys at all, but I saw the positive Yelp reviews, so gave them a shot. Jim quickly gave us an estimate, which turned out to be the lowest bid, and sent out his father-son tag team the next day. They did everything I asked quickly and professionally. I was so impressed with their work I asked them to do a couple of more things in the house while they were there. Cleaned up everything when they were done. Will not hesitate to call them again.

Very pleasant experience - had three power outlets installed and a number of switches replaced.  Gave a very fair quote and clear explanations on the different options available for where to install the outlets.  Would definitely recommend.

Requested a quote through Yelp and I got a response within a few hours and they scheduled me for a few days later, but actually texted me the same day and asked if they could come in the afternoon. The electrician came on time and was so efficient and neat and quick. They had the lowest estimate for installing my fan. Great experience.

Wanted to change all old fashion lights and replace it with rattan and bamboo pendants from Indonesia and Philippine (1 is in a high ceiling, quite risky job) they took out all the old one and when found the popcorn ceiling they retextured it. So I called this company up this weekend asked to get my doorbell fixed, two lights installed, smoke detector put in and one light socket exchanged. Only to find the doorbell could not be fixed I was charged 390 dollars. Save your money.

We are definitely going to use them again!! They were on time, communicated when they were on the way and extremely polite.  I didn't know the exact issue we were having with our outdoor lighting but they figured it out super quickly and were done in about 30 minutes. Local south OC electrician.  Contacted through Yelp and got an appointment the same afternoon to put in an outlet in a water closet for a fixed price.  The electrician showed up on time, was wearing a mask, and was able to complete the job within an hour.  The work area was left neat and tidy, and the price was fair.  I would definitely work with them again.

Needed two recessed lights installed and a swap out of a wall switch timer; minimal drywall work, just ensuring the 4 holes were cut large enough, no patching needed--a relatively simple job. I bought a couple retrofit cans that take light bulbs as those are the ones I like. The workers were on time, and arrived at 8:02 am, and were cordial. However the install didn't go well. The tabs that hold the can up flush with the drywall did not seem to be properly installed, so the cans sagged, and the worker had to add screws into the cans and into the beams in the ceiling. He complained about these types of cans and said the LED retrofit were the only way to go. The wall switch install went great. The final work looked fine, I'm mostly disappointed with the extra screws needed to keep the cans flush. They also brought two people and charged double the quoted hourly, though luckily the job only took them one hour, so total two man hours were paid.

I recently hired OC Pro Electric to complete various electrical projects for a newly constructed house.  The tasks included installation of high voltage outlets for level 2 EV charging, installation of new lighting fixtures, and installation of a new bathroom fan.  All of the work was completed on-time and with great attention to detail. Even the non-electrical work, such as the drywall repair required after certain installations, was performed with extra care.  

This is the second house I have had OC Pro work on over the last few years, and it's great to see that their work remains top notch.

I reached out to four electricians on Yelp including one that I have used in the past.  All of their quotes were higher than Jim's quote.  I selected OC Pro Electric to install a floodlight and an exterior outlet.  Mark arrived on time and quickly got everything installed in a timely manner.  He was professional and the quality of work was good.  I will plan on using them again for my next electrical job around the house.

Our main breaker wouldn't reset after having been manually flipped. It was a Sunday, over 100 degrees outside, and we couldn't really wait until Monday to have someone come out.

We're new to the area so we didn't have an electrician yet. After a quick Yelp search I came across OC Pro Electric.

Jim came within the hour, pulled the breaker out of the box, whacked it a couple of times on the tailgate of his truck, plugged the breaker back in, and reset it.  :)

I've used OC-Pro electric for a few major jobs at our home. Most of the jobs we requested, were turned Down by other companies due to difficulty. OC Pro Electric completed all the work requested without hesitation and was extremely professional with all aspects of their work. I have a very complicated electrical system, which is over 30 years old, in my home. I contacted five electrician through Yelp to find an electrician to help with a three way switch. In my request I asked all the companies to respond with rates and availability'. Only two responded with the requested information. One's hourly rate was ridiculous.  Jim at OC was the only one who responded with a reasonable rate. He also requested if I could send him pictures of anything I had showing him the wiring and control center of my system. He later responded back that the system was older than any system he had every seen. In the meantime I had reached out to Leviton to find out what switches replaced the switches in my system and was told there were no replacements. With that I just decided to use only one switch instead of a three way switch; which I did myself. Jim offered to come look at the system. He was the only electrician who seemed interested and helpful. If I have a need for an electrician in the future, I would not hesitate to hire OC Pro.

You will not find a more professional service around. These guys are true pros, courteous and their workmanship is top notch. Having gone through a few electricians for hanging chandeliers, I can easily tell you these guys are the best.

I called for an appointment with OC Pro and they were able to come out to my house in a couple of days. Mark called me to let me know he was on his way 15 minutes before the scheduled time which was great as I had to commute from Irvine to Ladera Ranch to meet him. Once there, he was able to quickly give me an estimate which was below what we expected to pay. We had removed a pendant light over our kitchen island and needed to remove the live wires in the hole. Mark was able to easily remove the wire box and reconnect the other 2 pendant lights remaining over the island. He was done in under 2 hours and cleaned everything up as if he was never there. I would definitely recommend OC Pro and will use them for future needs as well.

First off, most of the contractors I have tried to use in the past either dont show or are late. Not so with these guys. Rick showed up exactly at 9am like he said he would. I needed a couple of light switches changed, mainly reducing the number of switches in the box. The box by the front door had 4 switches and I have no clue what 2 of them do, even after living here for 30 years. We cut it down to 2, and after Rick left I went to turn on the kitchen lights and they did not work. Apparently they were connected to the switch by the front door, which nobody could have known. I called the owner Jim and he said they would be right back. And within a half hour Rick was back and fixed the problem. The problem was easily fixed and about an hour later Jim called me again to make sure I was happy. How many contractors ever do this? The rates were very reasonable but most important, and what a lot of contractors dont get, the service was the best. I will use them for all my electrical from now on.

I bought a house in Rancho Santa Margarita last summer and it came with some electrical issues: things ranging from oddball hard-to-troubleshoot electrical gremlins to more obvious problems like loose or malfunctioning power outlets.

We previously hired another business to fix these issues, but that business was unable to diagnose the tricky issues, and actually made some of the simpler issues much worse!

I finally called Jim Nesmith of OC Pro Electric on a neighbor's stellar recommendation.  My family and I could not be happier that we did.  OC Pro Electric gave me an appointment time just one day out, and sent Mark who arrived exactly on time (actually 5 minutes early) the day of service.

Mark was a true professional and pleasure to work with, plus overall good person to boot.  I took a long time to explain the electrical issues I had observed, including any instances where the other business may have worsened things, and Mark listened patiently the entire time.  Mark provided a very reasonable estimate and was extremely efficient as he worked.  I could tell that he is a master of his craft, but more importantly, puts the customer first and is highly trustworthy.  Mark was also proactive in explaining all of the work being done (I am not handy at all and really appreciated that) and has a sharp eye for places where there is room to improve electrical safety.  It's also worth mentioning that unlike many other service providers, Mark did not try to upsell me into anything that I didn't need; in fact, Mark offered great guidance on what items I requested would be of highest value versus lowest value.

As an example of how careful these guys are - part of the work Mark did for me was re-wiring my ceiling fans to be operated by light switches rather than remote controls.  That involved climbing into my attic and routing wires through very tight spaces.  For this part of the job, Mark called in his colleague Manny so it could be properly done as a two-person job, one person working in the attic and the other person working in the bedroom.  From experience, many other businesses would have tried to do everything with just one person in order to save a buck, but OC Pro Electric and Mark did the right thing for the customer!  Similarly, I had Mark check a couple of the wall outlets that were previously installed by the other business we hired before, and he found some stunning lapses in safety protocol ... one of the outlets wasn't grounded at all, and another one had a wire so loose it was just about flopping around behind the receptacle!!!  Mark carefully fixed each issue discovered without rushing the job, and my family - particularly my small children - feels so much more comfortable living in a home that we know is safe now.  We also got some nice conveniences added, such as an outdoors power outlet with rain cover, so that I no longer have to run an extension cord to my sprinkler control box.  All work, even that which required holes to be cut, was completely quickly, using high quality parts and labor, and best of all, cleaned up well afterwards.  Unlike so many other similar businesses, OC Pro Electric leaves your home spotless after they are done working in it.

Big kudos to Mark, Manny, Jim, and the entire OC Pro Electric team for a brilliant experience!  I will be using these guys exclusively for my electrical needs going forward.

Needed a dining room light fixture replaced and new dimmer installed.  Ozzie came at the time they scheduled, and did the job in 45 minutes.  Perfect.  Great guy and easy company to do business with.  Fair prices and excellent response.

Moved into house last month, and had some electrical issues that needed attention and really stumped our home inspector. I called Friday afternoon and they came out Monday morning! Mark did a great job diagnosing my bizarre electrical issue (it was a broken outlet that caused 2 rooms to act weird), took care of it quickly, and moved onto the rest of my list which included properly grounding several outlets in the living room / bathroom, installing the proper switch for a light, and also running our coax cable so that it wasn't running on the floor in the family room.  He worked efficiently, was on time, and did a great job.  I am not sure who did the crappy remodel job for the previous home owners, but Mark took care of them, and it cost a lot less than estimated due to his efficiency.  Ended up to be  $449 including labor and materials.  I will definitely go to them when we are ready for lighting upgrades!

Just had a wonderful experience with OC Pro Electric.  Devin and Brian.  Spoke with Jim when I called in and was pleasantly surprised to know he could send someone today.  I had some handyman work done on Sunday which left me with some electrical not working.  Within 40 minutes I was 'up and running' again.  Definitely recommend OC Pro Electric.

This is the worst experience I've had with a home professional!!! I called OC Pro Electric for a free estimate (which is advertised on their website) and was shocked to be handed a bill for almost $200. When I called to address the issue, nobody returned my call. I called back a week later and left another message with the office secretary. Both Jim, the owner, and the electrician who came to our house denied the fact that I asked for a free estimate. The electrician stated that he came to my house for a service call which is not what I schedule the appointment for. Jim refused to take responsibility for his company's mistake. Instead, he blamed me for being a poor client and not understanding the cost of labor or materials (no materials were used during the electrician's visit). I thought this statement was incredibly rude and uncalled for, especially since I was being billed for a service I did not ask for or authorize. I was shocked to be treated so poorly by a company that has been reviewed so favorably. This was my first time using OC Pro Electric, and based on this experience, I have no desire to work with them or Jim again!!
