I contacted Mr. Minh to help install ring security cameras and doorbell for my elderly father. He was very prompt, and did an excellent job. He helped my father set up the ring app on his iPhone, and stayed in touch with me during the installation process. My father was very pleased with his work and said he was a nice kind man to work with. We will definitely use Mr. Minh again in the future for any electrical needs!

I am happy to report that my experience with Alfano Electric was extraordinary. This is now the second time I have used them at my house in Santa Monica and they were on time, under-budget and very professional in all ways. They left the house clean and the work they did was excellent. Diana, who runs the office, was very pleasant and professional on the phone. Overall the whole experience was terrific. Last Friday, I had HandyLectric come out and look at a few lights that weren't working in our kitchen and bathroom.  They suggested the issue was the ballasts and suggested removing the lights and replacing with LED cans to avoid future ballast problems and save money with LEDs.  So far, so good, as I think this was good advice.  They posed this as a reasonable and easy replacement, but said nothing more about the process or work involved in doing that switch other than (1) to say it would take 2-3 hours and cost $100 per can, (2) that they would like to tell us what color light we preferred in the meantime, and (3) that they would be here at 8am this Friday.  The men were in and out quickly, saying they had to work on another job and the other crew wasn't available to handle the work that day.  Again, this all seemed fine and we were so far pleased with the professionalism, even if it meant taking another day off of work.

Today (Friday) at 8:15 (15 minutes after they should have arrived), I receive a voicemail from Jeremy at Handylectric to see if they can send out the workers and go over a couple of things.  I call right back and, at that point, I'm told that the work will involve removing the ballasts by ripping up the ceiling stud-to-stud, work that they would not patch, something that he wanted to make sure I realized.  I did not, in fact, realize that.  While I understand they're electricians not painters/plasterers, obviously if they had fully explained the work ahead when they proposed it last Friday, I could have arranged for other contractors to come to patch (perhaps seeking a recommendation from them), or sought a company that could do both (which certainly exists, since I've already discussed it with other electricians).  I am not an electrician or a contractor and thus had no familiarity with what would be involved in the work when proposed; when it was put to me as a 2-3 hour straightforward job, I assumed that, at the end of that, I would have attractive and efficient LED lighting without accompanying holes in my ceiling.  

When I asked why the full scope of the work (especially the holes that would not be patched) was not explained to me in advance, Jeremy at first said this was why he was glad he talked to me before sending the guys over.  I said this was unacceptable given that it was a week after the guys initially looked at the lights and after the time they should have arrived on a day where I'd obviously already taken off work without having the opportunity to make other arrangements to have my ceiling patched.  Jeremy then claimed that the man who came last Friday HAD told me the ceiling would be opened but not patched.  This wasn't true, as both my wife and I can attest.  Nor would it make sense that (1) I was so surprised by it today if I had been told or (2) Jeremy would need to tell me about it again on the day he was supposed to be sending the guys to my house since he would have already known that I fully understood the process.

Thus, while I thought the price was good and initially was happy with the professionalism of the men who visited last Friday, today's response (and attempt to retroactively cover for their prior incomplete explanation) means I will be finding a different company to do the work.

Great service. A light fixture needed to be replaced in a rental unit that I own on the West side, and since I could not be there in person (I currently live in Claremont, CA) Tim did not require immediate payment from the tenants after service, and billed me electronically instead. Remote communication was great, and he charged me exactly the amount that he had previously quoted me.

As a homeowner, looking for services is almost always frustrating. It is rare to find folks as excellent as Ryan Electric.  I needed a chandelier installed, and after calling a few places they turned to be not only the cheapest but most timely in everything they do. My appointment was for 8-9am on Saturday morning. The guys showed up at 8am on the dot!  They were were so friendly it felt like hanging out with some old friends or family. Very professional and clean as they tarped down the work area and made sure every spot was left cleaner when they left it. Even though this was a single fixture to be installed, they took their time to get every detail right down to installing each and every individual bulb and shade. Overall I am beyond pleased with their work and would recommend to anybody looking for quality electrical service.

Look folks. I was desperate. Half of my outlets were dead, including the one to the fridge. Desperately looking for someone who could come on short notice, I found Jason and Boris right here on Yelp. I have trust issues with people. I sent a request via Yelp and Jason and Boris got back to me straight away. I was fielding quotes and some people who just couldn't come on a weekend. I asked if I could speak to someone at AES. Jason called me in two minutes. Not impressed? I was asking to speak to him at 23:16 (11:16PM) on a Saturday night. Who would call a potential client back that late? I'll tell you. People who care. Jason talked to me on the phone with me quite anxious. He calmed me down and explained what he thought the problem was. He said, Don't worry. We got you. That's all I needed to hear. Jason and Boris show up on time today and were as friendly as family. They explained everything, left no outlet unturned and fixed the problem. What really amazed me is that when Jason was pulling out wire and re-wiring and hook this wire to that wire, it was like watching a phenom solve a Rubik's cube in 6 seconds flat. And as he saw the relief on my face as my outlets came back to life, he smiled with pride. These exceptional gentlemen and wonderful electricians are in my phone favorites next to my best friend. They will treat you with kindness, respect, and re-assurance. They are graceful gentlemen who know their business backwards and forwards. Love these guys.

My husband and I got several bids from about six different electrical companies. Our house needed to be re-wired.
They came in with one of the lowest bids. But we chose them over the other companies because we found them to be very professional when presenting the bid and in phone conversations. We also noticed from their website that they have been in the business much longer than some of the others.

They were on time every day and cleaned after themselves. And they made sure they did things according to our wishes. I highly recommend them.

I Hired this company to install a ring floodlight and an outlet outdoors. They gave me the best price quote, which turned out to be the actual cost. The tech  was on time, commutative, and the job was well done in a timely manner. I now have my  electrician.

Enrique responded promptly to make an appointment and after seeing the problem, he replaced an ancient timer/junction box for our pool pump and pool light that got shorted or fried somehow and caused the pump and salt generator to stop working.  Appreciate his responsiveness and quick work!

This review is a little late, but better late than never. Alex and his team were first rate! Super friendly and they did and amazing job with all of our lighting. We just moved in to mid-century modern home and wanted to add pendants. My husband was worried about going through the ceiling but Alex assured us that it would be ok. It had been, no issues and the lights looks stunning.
