I have worked with Elder at Avila Electric for over 10 years. Pro all around from quotes, to the work and the follow up. The latest project he has competed for me was a 2-gang meter upgrade for a 1957 duplex in Highland Park and a complete rewiring of one of the units including ceiling can light installation. His consultation and product recommendations are spot on & the work is timely and professional and of course permitted and to code.  Highly recommended professional electrical work.

I found Israel and his business on Yelp and i was glad i found the right man for the job. Had a problem with the kitchen electrical outlet which caused the circuit breaker tripped and not able to turn it off.  We called Israel and he showed up on time. The service was performed and my kitchen outlet and circuit breaker were back up in no time.  I highly recommend Israel for their outstanding service and fair quote.  Not only that but he also helped me by giving me telephone contacts of other home professional services.  It was a pleasure to know Israel and his business and we will continue to support him from now on.  Thank you Israel!!!

Last Friday, I had HandyLectric come out and look at a few lights that weren't working in our kitchen and bathroom.  They suggested the issue was the ballasts and suggested removing the lights and replacing with LED cans to avoid future ballast problems and save money with LEDs.  So far, so good, as I think this was good advice.  They posed this as a reasonable and easy replacement, but said nothing more about the process or work involved in doing that switch other than (1) to say it would take 2-3 hours and cost $100 per can, (2) that they would like to tell us what color light we preferred in the meantime, and (3) that they would be here at 8am this Friday.  The men were in and out quickly, saying they had to work on another job and the other crew wasn't available to handle the work that day.  Again, this all seemed fine and we were so far pleased with the professionalism, even if it meant taking another day off of work.

Today (Friday) at 8:15 (15 minutes after they should have arrived), I receive a voicemail from Jeremy at Handylectric to see if they can send out the workers and go over a couple of things.  I call right back and, at that point, I'm told that the work will involve removing the ballasts by ripping up the ceiling stud-to-stud, work that they would not patch, something that he wanted to make sure I realized.  I did not, in fact, realize that.  While I understand they're electricians not painters/plasterers, obviously if they had fully explained the work ahead when they proposed it last Friday, I could have arranged for other contractors to come to patch (perhaps seeking a recommendation from them), or sought a company that could do both (which certainly exists, since I've already discussed it with other electricians).  I am not an electrician or a contractor and thus had no familiarity with what would be involved in the work when proposed; when it was put to me as a 2-3 hour straightforward job, I assumed that, at the end of that, I would have attractive and efficient LED lighting without accompanying holes in my ceiling.  

When I asked why the full scope of the work (especially the holes that would not be patched) was not explained to me in advance, Jeremy at first said this was why he was glad he talked to me before sending the guys over.  I said this was unacceptable given that it was a week after the guys initially looked at the lights and after the time they should have arrived on a day where I'd obviously already taken off work without having the opportunity to make other arrangements to have my ceiling patched.  Jeremy then claimed that the man who came last Friday HAD told me the ceiling would be opened but not patched.  This wasn't true, as both my wife and I can attest.  Nor would it make sense that (1) I was so surprised by it today if I had been told or (2) Jeremy would need to tell me about it again on the day he was supposed to be sending the guys to my house since he would have already known that I fully understood the process.

Thus, while I thought the price was good and initially was happy with the professionalism of the men who visited last Friday, today's response (and attempt to retroactively cover for their prior incomplete explanation) means I will be finding a different company to do the work.

Hands down an amazing electrician. When I called him regarding an issue I had with power to my garage, he listened to my concerns and was able to see me very quickly. The problem was fixed, but what I appreciated the most was his honesty and his willingness to show me exactly what he did! Tim, you rock! Thanks for being so cool.

Sparks were shooting out of one of my outlets with nothing plugged into it in the middle of the night. I needed someone to come out quickly before it started a fire. Fortunately, Ryan Electric picked up the phone early morning on the weekend, was able to come out, identify the problem and fix it ASAP. It was a fairly straightforward job & he provided good customer service. I'd call him again for future electrical needs.

The power to my tankless water heater went out after a recent rain and my warranty insurance company dispatched a plumber even though I specifically requested an electrician. Being already a day and a half without hot water in the middle of winter I could not wait until the next business day for the insurance company's electrician to even call me back to schedule an appt.  

I found Martin on Yelp because he is in area and had good reviews. He was at my house within 30 mins on a Saturday and provides free estimates. He was super friendly and explained what was happening.

Turns out water got into the outlet and just needed to be replaced. Martin fixed it in a jiffy and I have hot water again!

I called Branover Contractors on Thursday to have some work done. We made appointment for Tuesday between 8-8:30am and electricians showed up at 8:20am and completed work in a timely and professional manner.

I was very impressed with Michael's customer service and professionalism---I highly recommend!

Jack and his father came out and installed new sconces on our living room wall. He did it without any patching necessary. The room looks incredible now! And they were quick and detail-oriented. They explained every step and cleaned up afterwards. I will recommend them for all future jobs.

Did an excellent job installing some smart light switches for me.  I tried to do it myself and accidentally tripped the breakers, shutting off all the lights.  They were old and I couldn't get them turned on.  

I asked for quotes on Yelp and some people were evasive or vague -- and for somewhat good reason. I was a little vague myself, not really knowing much about the electrical situation or if the smart switches could even be installed in this old house. But Adrian was not evasive at all.  He responded quickly, said he could address all of my issues, gave me a quote on Yelp, and came very quickly when I accepted. Not only were they able to fix my error and get my switches installed even with old wiring, but did so at a good price and at exactly the price they said they would do it for.  

Wonderful experience!  Highly recommended!

Due to the many (and well deserved) reviews on Yelp I called Enrique to get a quote on updating my 100 Amp electrical service to a 200 AMP service breaker box.  I wanted this to be prepared for the future purchase of an EV car.

Enrique showed up on time and ready to start the process.  He advised me of the entire process and be called SCE to inspect the location of my current box.  Once the approved the location (2 days later) he then filed with my city for the permits.  That took another 2 days.  Once they were issued he began the work.  Day one was removing and replacing the old box with the new box and new breakers.  Of course during that process you are without power but by the end of the day he will restore your power, even if it is only temporary.  

The next and final day was tripping each breaker and labeling it on the newly installed panel.  He used a label printer machine so each room is easily identified and easy to read.  Nice touch.

I have to have my stucco guy do the repairs to the wall.  Not a big job at all.

All in all it was a great experience, great price and I will use Enrique again for my next electrical project.  Thanks for a job well done!!!

I had a problem in my garage with a light fixture that burnt out. I was referred to Ducros and they were fantastic. Great scheduling great follow up clean and orderly trucks and service person. Very friendly and did the job quick and perfect. Fair price and great company.

Marco was so awesome to work with. He was on time and very knowledgeable. He was super helpful and honest, I could tell he wanted what was safest for our family but didn't advise us to do extra things that weren't actually needed. He was fast and charged us a fair price for all the work done. Will definitely be using him again for all our electric needs as we continue to renovate our home.
