The gas control on our 20+ year old tank flamed out. Steve from Water Heaters Only was out within two hours, spent all the time I needed talking with me about what probably went wrong, recommended a new unit, answered all my questions, and went to work. He spent the day there, and the installation was clean and we've got hot water. Nice guy, solid work, price was 10% less than the other quote I got. Thanks, Steve, from customer #1036161

Had a sewer clog and called a plumber who couldn't get the clog cleared and wanted $300.00 to use a high pressure snake. I declined and called Precision Rooter and Drain who had nothing but 5 stars and rave reviews. Ray called few minuted before arrival and got the clog cleared in 15 minutes. Ray ran the snake a second time for assurance the clog was completely cleared. As quoted the price was $145.00. Thank you very much Ray and Precision Rooter & Drain.

Dominic to the rescue again. Thanks for coming out to help me with a second opinion and saved me a headache that I was so worried was going to cost me. I go to MSK Plumbing first and trust me, Dominic is an honest guy wanting to do the best job he can for his customer base. THANK YOU!

We had a clogged kitchen sink, response was great , he answered my questions, I told him I will call him back because I wanted to get a couple more people to respond. After a couple more responds from other companies, I look up his reviews and compares with other companies. The decision was with him. He came and snaked the drain, which opened up another problem, corrosion, he suggested that we repair and even place a clean out, so snaking the drain next time will be much easier. I was very happy that he could have the repairs done in a short period of time . Two days. Job was well done and everything seems to be working fine. I like how everything looks.
He is very trustworthy and very helpful.

Super friendly and efficient. We needed our security bars removed after we had an appraisal and they were able to come within the week to remove. Highly recommend D&M Tile Services.

Service Pros Plumbers more than exceeded our expectations. Our staff room kitchen sink sprang a nasty leak and we called them because we needed it repaired fast. From the moment we called them they were extremely professional. They gave a time frame of when they would arrive and arrived at the top of the time frame! The repair was quick, without disruption and they cleaned up so well it looked like the leak never happened. Very efficient work and exceptional service. They are my go to plumbing company from now on.

I had a big leak in my bathroom that needed attention right away and Bill was prompt in getting the work done - he came on the same day to fix the issue. He is friendly and knows his stuff and his rates are much more reasonable than others that I obtained quotes from. Highly recommended

Michael is knowledgeable, available, flexible, calm, affordable, conscientious, and efficient. Plus he's nice to my kids: a mark of his good character. We've found our plumber.

These guys did a great job. My plumbing started leaking right at the house main valve, which wouldn't shut off, so water was spraying everywhere. They came by within half an hour and had everything fixed in one hour, at a very reasonable price.

Mr. Fix It Right came out within a few hours of texting him and talking. I sent him photos of our sink and he gave me a quote over the phone. It was so easy, he beat all the other quotes by far, and he was quick and professional.
I will absolutely call him again. Stop searching. Call him.

Excellent quality work and great customer service with clear explanations of what was needed and done. Eric has been very responsive about the job initially and throughout. Value good from what I can tell. Technician Miguel was particularly good -- high quality work, attention to safety, good clean-up, detailed explanations and available by text for questions after.

Original one-star review:
My landlord hired Mr. Rooter to install a gas shutoff valve on the gas meter on my house and my neighbors house. A plumber named Lance came over at 8AM and installed mine first. When he turned the gas back on I told him where all the pilot lights were that had to be re-lit. Oh those are self-lighting he said. I said no, they are not self-lighting! After a little argument about what kinds of appliances I had, he said well I can check. I took him to all of the pilots--water heater, floor furnace, and three pilots on the stove--and I watched as he re-lit each one.
When he finished at my house, he began working on the neighbor's shutoff valve. I checked that he didn't need access to my unit anymore, and I locked up and went to work around 10AM. I had an uneasy feeling about that guy unfamiliarity with gas appliances all day, so I decided to go home early to check on the house and make sure my cats were okay. When I opened my front door at 4PM, I was almost knocked over by the natural gas that poured out. I found my two cats were still alive, so I stuffed them into carriers, ran outside and called 911.
The fire department got there within one minute, shut off the gas, contacted PG&E, and began taking readings. One fire fighter remarked that my cats were alive because my bedroom window was open. They brought giant fans into the house to air out the gas while we waited for PG&E.
I called the plumber and the landlord and when the plumber saw what was going on he said that it was the old stove. (The stove is fine.) After I pressed him for more information, he finally admitted that he had accidentally triggered my shutoff valve while he was installing the neighbor's shutoff valve, and then he simply turned the gas back on in my house WITHOUT RE-LIGHTING ANY PILOT LIGHTS. My house filled up with natural gas from four different un-lit pilot lights for the next six hours.
This plumber knows next to nothing about common gas appliances, and he is a danger to any customer who hires him to do any work related to gas lines. I have reported him to the CA State Licensing Board.
UPDATE and two added stars ten days later:
Spencer, the owner, called me to apologize and assure me that he takes this very seriously. He said that he spent an hour talking to Lance about his poor judgement and he is updating his training to include this issue. He said that he gave my landlord a full refund on the installation of the shutoff valves. I hope all of this is true.
I can say that Spencer's apology and acknowledgement meant a lot to me, because the incident left me feeling horrible about trusting anyone who calls himself a professional. Most of us want to believe that the professionals know best, and trust that they would never do anything to jeopardize our safety. It's frightening when that trust is broken.

First encounter, they came on a Sunday to fix a toilet in our guest quarters when we had guests there. Arrived within a couple hours of our call and fixed the problem. Yesterday, called them at 8:30 am and they arrived by 10:30 and fixed problem with upstairs bathroom sink.

My general contractor recommended Better Rooter when I needed a new sewer lateral during a home remodle in Alameda. Better Rooter was prompt and responsive to my request for an estimate, and they completed the the job on time (in one day), and on budget. They left the property looking as if nothing ever happened. They were very prompt and responsive to a follow-up issue a few weeks later, which they promptly resolved completely. Couldn't ask for more.

Mother's Day disaster averted! We called Better Home Plumbing at 3:15 PM and Yaro said he'd be here (Walnut Creek) by 3:45 PM. He snaked our sewer line, which was (unfortunately for him) no 5 minute job. But he kept at it and cleared the drain. The sweet, sweet sound of water draining was a symphony to my ears.
Throughout the procedure, Yaro patiently answered questions about the different types of heads he was using on the snake and what each one could accomplish. Thanks to Yaro for saving the day for my wife and family! (and me)

Genteel Plumbers and Marcus had my back! I reached out to them the night before for a backed up drain. They promptly responded and a technician was out here next morning. Marcus came and delivered!! The drain had a tough food blockage, but within an hour he had it already cleared. He even offered to fix any nagging issues we may have had around the place. On top of that, the visit was incredibly informative. I love all the information he shared about how the plumbing system works in general, why we had this problem, and how to prevent it in the future. I highly recommend Marcus and I highly recommend Genteel Plumbers.

We discovered a water issue at our house in which we were losing 5 gallons per minute for the last day and six hours. We called the Plumbing Experts at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon and they were the only company that could come out that day. They showed up Exactly when they told us they would be there which was an hour and a half from the time we called. We found out what the issue was within 20 minutes of their arrival. They were outstanding and I would highly recommend them. We understand that they're not only a plumbing company but they're also a subcontractor for remodels!
They will be our go to in the future for many issues including small remodels!

Value seems like it is just not there. After having my own issue, I found out a couple other friends did not have a great experience.
In my case, they simply were not able to give me a simple estimate for a routine tankless water heater flush. I have done it myself before but wanted to get someone else to do it, for sake of time. I called several companies and they were able to give me an estimate over the phone however did not have the availability in their schedule. Big Blue could not give over the phone estimates and instead gave me this $85 fee to show for a quote that would be removed from the final cost. I took the bait and they tried slamming me with a $761 quote... for a routine maintenance, non-intrusive type of job. Paying my fine for falling for there scam, but definitely not recommending them.
