Excellent, professional guys! 2nd time using the service. They replaced my instant water heater last year and now fixed a broken sink elbow. Fast. Reliable. Highly recommended!

Who doesn't love when their shower drain suddenly spits up poopy water? The night before thanksgiving - no less.
I put out an emergency message via Yelp to plumbers at 3:00AM hoping for the best; AB's came through. Abraham showed up and went to work. After snaking the shower, he went on the roof to snake the vent, and - when that did not work - he snaked the sewer drain. After moving up to a more powerful machine - the obstruction was cleared and water ran smooth. He was very methodical and informative along the way, providing tips and information on next steps, as well.
I would definitely recommend Abraham in the future (and will def go to him first with my plumbing needs).

We recently had a tankless water heater installed by Everest Plumbing. They were very prompt in coming out to check the sight and give a quote. To my surprise, they came within 30 minutes of my phone call. They thoroughly inspected our house, by even going in the tight crawl space and checking where the plumbing lines would have to go. Others who came for a quote only looked through the crawl space opening with a flash light.
Later that day I was given a quote that was substantially lower than one I was given by another company a few days prior, which made the job feasible for us.
A few days later, Tsering and Sam, both owners of the company, came back to do the job. I was impressed that they were owners and did the work themselves. I was also relieved, because many other companies send minimally paid workers who don't really care about the quality of their work, they just want to get it done and get paid. But Tsering and Sam were clearly very concerned about their work and our house. They even found a torn dryer pipe in the crawl space which they were genuinely worried about, and said that they'd fix for free while they install the pipes.
Overall, I was more than happy with their work. Everything they did was clean. They even painted some of the pipes that they installed outside to match the existing pipes that they were connected to. They worked very hard, in the dark and the rain, and came back twice to finish the job, because it was wet and raining during those days.
I was extremely satisfied with their work from all aspects, and would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs. They were also very friendly, always referring to me by my name, like a friend. I wish more people in the service industry would be like these guys.
Thanks Tsering and Sam!

If you're reading this then hire Vincent. I don't write reviews, but had to for Vincent because of the incredible work he did for us.
We had a matter with the city regarding an issue with our sewer lateral and at every stage Vincent went well above and beyond was expected to help us find a resolution. Vincent came to our place, conducted a thorough review of the problem, and then did an incredible amount of research to find out who had originally conducted the work and was responsible for making repairs.
In addition to the extensive research he conducted Vincent was also able to leverage his strong personal relationships with city managers to help us work with officials to identify a resolution.
Vincent was responsive, knowledgeable, patient, and determined in his efforts to help us with our problem. He literally saved us hours upon hours of phone calls and research and was persistent in all of his efforts. He's also a really nice guy and I would 100% work with him again. I can't recommend him enough.

Vlad is a hardworking nonsense person that gets the job done. Had a pin hole break under the slab in our master. After he identified the location I broke out the concrete section myself and exposed the break. Called Vlad back to do the repair work and he pointed out that the copper runs installed under the slab in the 1980s where failing. The previous owners and contractor that did a remodel did not leave sufficient cover between the concrete and copper pipes. Also the pipes crossed without adequate clearance causing further damage.
Long story short Vlad repaired the pinhole (a temporary fix) and let me think about how I wanted to address the bigger issues. I plated the hole in the conc slab and formulated my plan. I completed the repairs myself by running new conduit and PEX under the slab and into the master.
I saved thousands of dollars by using Vlad. No pressure to up sell, and he had the patience to allow me to do so of the work myself. Most plumbers wont do that.

Terrible customer service. More concerned with letting you know they're diamond certified than doing a good job. Over-priced. Took them a long time for a quote. Never showed for appt and blamed me.
Thanks for forcing me to find a better business -- and one that answers the phone after 3:00pm.

These guys are amazing. We had a very long sewer pipe that had a break in it about 2/3 of the way down. They arrived, explored the pipe, gave a great estimate, which they stuck to even after finding additional problems, and had the work done in a week. The crew was polite, quiet and clean. They took on the herculean task of pulling 100 feet of pipe over our kitchen roof in order to get it in place and at the proper angle. They pulled the permit and got all the paperwork with the City done within a day, including PG&E inspection prior to dig.
I think these guys earned all and more of our accolades.

We knew our house had radiant heat set up, but the boiler was old and had not been working. For 3+ years we were trying to find someone who would help us confirm that the pipes in the floor are fully functional and have no leaks. Ramnar was incredible - he came to evaluate what was in the house and what was necessary. Less than a week later, he came with a temporary boiler and set it up within 2 hours to run and test the tubes. He then used a heat sensor to show that the system was working throughout the entire house and we can't wait to swap out the temporary boiler and install a permanent one. Highly recommend!

John is amazing. He's my first call for services. He arrives on time, he estimates how long it will take correctly. And doesn't up charge if it ends up being tricky. Honorable and scarce in this day and age.

This is 5 star service but Yelp changes it to 4 when I save. Not happy.
Andres came over right away. Super nice. Very professional. Though my issue with my toilet wasn't complex, I appreciated him being able to address it quickly. He clearly explained what the problems were, how he would fix them, how long it would take, and what it would cost.
He was neat and left my bathroom exactly how he found it, and was in and out before I could finish my conference call. I immediately sent his info to my neighbor and said - File this. We got a winner!

These guys have come to my house a few times now! They are so professional and can literally do so many things! Brandon and Andres gave me a beautiful kitchen floor and were so kind and professional. Then Brandon came back some weeks later to do more things. Appreciate them so much! Would recommend totally!

I manage a few older buildings and apartment complexes in Oakland and whenever I'm stumped or in a bind, I call Ruben/Ocelot Plumbing and they are always great. I had a pipe burst in a wall and they came out and helped me though the whole thing (late at night to after midnight) and then came back the next day to help me figure out what was going on and what needed to happen.

Wilber was fantastic. He was earlier than scheduled, called me to confirm it was okay and to check what equipment he needed. He was friendly, polite and efficient and answered my questions about other plumbing issues with honest advice.
The work was done quickly and cleanly (snaking the shower drain). The scheduler was nice, polite, efficient and clearly set out prices and expected costs ($49 to show up, clogged drains $175 and up). I called Nahman because they were great too when I called for help with water pressure two years ago.
If you have to call a plumber, Nahman seems like the best choice for honesty, efficiency and a job well done.

The work was fine. The bid/invoicing process was not. If your job is simple (a short, straight run from the house to the street with no unknowns), go ahead and use them. If there's any complexity at all, read on.
Since it was unclear how much work would actually need to be done, I asked for an itemized bid based on various scenarios. What I got was a confusing hodgepodge of very large items without a clear indication of how costs related to the work. I was being pressured by the City to do the work, so I agreed based on a verbal description the actual breakdown of items. I should never have done that.
The original bid was itemized into three line items. One for the basic work, plus an additional item to cover digging a rather deep hole and handling a potential lateral (plus a third charge that would apply only if I didn't do a complete repair and the partial repair didn't pass inspection---I didn't do that). That lateral wasn't there, so the hole covered by the second line item was never dug. The final invoice nonetheless included that work. When I complained, I was offered a mysterious discount that covered some, but not all, of the bid cost of the extra item. When I called about that, I received a third invoice that contained a much smaller discount. That is, the third bill was considerably higher (more than $1000) than the second one! There has never been a direct correlation between line items on the original bid and items on the final invoice. The numbers are completely arbitrary.
I've called them many times and just gotten a runaround when asked for a detailed explanation of the bill (I keep getting referred to Raymond, who makes random discounts and won't explain were the numbers come from). I talked to the company owner yesterday, who said that he was the one responsible for upping the charges (again, without an explanation), but then said that he had to research the issue further.
After much back and forth, the owner finally came to my place, and we worked out a compromise which, as is usually the case in this situation, neither of us is ecstatic about. I've upped my rating from one to two stars as a consequence. However, even though I have no problems with the work at all, given all this grief, I'm reluctant to go higher than that.
if your job is not dead simple, and you're saddled with Raymond as your contact, you should demand a detailed unambiguous bid (and keep pressing until you get one. Raymond has zero understanding of what that actually means). If the job could go one of N ways, either demand N bids, that between them cover all the eventualities, or demand a detailed itemized bid. Finally, demand that the things you're charged for in the final bill actually match up with items in the original itemized bid. Make it clear to them that you won't pay for arbitrary charges that are not listed in the original bid, and don't let them lump items together on the bid and give you a verbal explanation of what that means.
