Best Plumbing Services in Long Beach, CA
Had a toilet that wouldn't flush, I plunged it for hours and decided to call alpine, within 5 minutes of them getting to my home and only 35 minutes after calling them they had my toilet flushing. Very fair pricing and great customer service! Will be calling them again for my future plumbing issues. Thanks Alpine

After leaving a Voice Mail with Jose on Friday afternoon for some real gardening services in my back yard i was delighted by his Urgency response to give me a call back. After we had gone over the estimate and settled when their will be services to my garden, I have been OUTRAGEOUSLY satisfied with the services. Thank you Jose.

The quick and fast, Ixtapa Construction is the best general contracting company I've had the pleasure to work with (I've worked with 3-4 over the last decade). I completely gutted a 4 bedroom, 2..5 bath, 2100 sq. ft. home we just purchased and Jay did it while handling timing pressure from my then 7-month-pregnant wife who was hesitant to even make the purchase, knowing the work it needed.
As the founder/President, Jay is a consummate professional (a rarity in this business), and a true craftsman. His Partner, Alex is also great to work with and keeps things organized and coordinated with all the moving pieces of a construction project. Most important to me is that Jay and his team takes pride and ownership in their work. Jay treated our construction project as if it was his own home. He takes the time to make sure things are done right, the first time. Moving forward, I'll always reach out to Jay first about my remodeling and home improvement needs before going out and interviewing/reviewing other contractors. Through my remodel, I'm fortunate enough to connect with someone who I've gotten to know and trust as my advisor for home remodeling and repair-related needs.
The longer version: We closed on our home in January of this year (2019). We knew we were going to completely gut and remodel the home. We didn't change the exterior (no additions) but all things interior of the home were to be redone. From all new water pipes to new electrical, new HVAC system, new 2.5 bathrooms and a new kitchen from the ground up including new flooring throughout.
This is our 2nd remodel of homes we are to live in, so it wasn't a completely new venture for us. The first remodel, I worked directly with a few tradesmen and oversaw/project managed the job myself. But this time around, with a newborn on the way and a 3 year old, I didn't have the time so we had to find a good GC that was fair, reasonable and accountable to work with. In total, we met about a dozen General Contractors (local via Yelp, Craigslist, HomeAdvisors, Houzz, you name it).
I first spoke with Alex by phone and then met with Jay at the house. Needless to say, he was on-time and professional. When we were ready to make a decision, we narrowed it down to Ixtapa and another construction company. I regretfully admit, we went with the other company first. The reason was that the initial bid was missing a few elements. I wish I had just went back and asked him to revise before making a decision. Truthfully, in my conversations with Jay, I had a good feeling. But we all make mistakes... The other company turned out to be a massive disaster (if you want more info, please reach out to me).
My initial timeline was the beginning of March for the home to be move-in ready. We started work on January 6th. By February 6th the house was all gutted, but nothing was being put back together. We started to get concerned as we were about 22 days out from when the house needed to be move-in ready. I got the typical contractor runaround and because I needed to be swift, I terminated the agreement. I had very low tolerance for a bad situation to get worse.
But since our initial meeting last December (2018) Jay stayed in touch with me and he actually followed with me to see how things were going.
I reached back out to Jay (at this point, under immense timing pressure) to see if he can help. He was able to get me on the calendar and get started in a week.
Ever since then, the house came together. And while I made changes to things and added things, he was very accommodating and did what he could to help us out.
Again, incredibly grateful to have met Jay and work with Ixtapa Construction. No job is too small for them, he's an honest craftsman that has a construction-framing background (so he can build a house from scratch if needed!) If he can't do something, he'll tell you. But overall, I'm incredibly happy with his service, professionalism and is the type of person you feel comfortable having around your family (which is also very important). And his team of craftsmen are great to work with too.
His pricing is fair, but through my own experience, you get what you pay for in this industry. Often times, you get low bids so they can come in and start the work, only to not finish or worse, cause damages. Talk to Alex/Jay, they'll work with you.
I will update this review with photos shortly.

After research and comparison of work and cost we selected Kristopher to install a whole house filter system for us.
He gave detailed recommendation of how the system should be installed and followed through.
The work was professional and extremely clean looking. Instead of simply proposing to install the system at a location I proposed, he was able to improve the installation by recommending items that made logical sense for me being able to service the system easier in the future; mounting angle of the UV part of the system, better valves , bypass cal led for fully controlling various new copper lines he ran to and from the system.
Very professional, responsive and accurate with assessment.

Patrick is very knowledgeable and efficient. he came right out to give us a free estimate.
he set an appointment right away- advising me and helping me choose the right gas fireplace insert for our fireplace... he installed it and did an inspection that left us very satisfied and confident we had a wonderful plumber for as long as we live in the area!
Good honest and kind people are so nice to meet! Prices are reasonable and the quality of work I highly recommend... Keeps your house clean and gets the job done! and guarantees his work too! doesn't get any better...

Had a leak somewhere in my main gas line from the front of the house to the meter by the curb. Luis was quick to respond and very communicative. He explained the whole process very well and was the only one who was willing to check the line piece by piece instead of just wanting to replace the whole line. He is very professional and polite. His work ethic was very good and detailed. After he replaced the main line, he tested the system and another minor leak under the house which he fixed without changing the original estimate. He is very fair. I would recommend him and contact him for any future plumbing needs. Thank you Luis!

Horrible experience! We are getting ready to sell my late mother's house. The water heater, 4.5 years old, was not strapped. The realtor wanted it strapped. Ok - we called Mattucci because Mom had used them before. First thing they said was a hose at the top was not installed to code. Guess what? I looked up the receipt - they installed it! They did the not to code work. They told me they would need to remove it from the old housing that Dad build for it that every water heater over the course of 58 years has been in, drain it, then they could reinstall it and strap it. I had to sign that the condition of the structure, and the condition of the water heater could not be guaranteed. Ok - new the wood was needing replaced but the water heater was 4.5 years old so shouldn't have been a problem. WRONG. They got it in and strapped and it no longer worked. WHAT? Suddenly that old wood structure was the problem. I'm not even clear why it had to be removed for the strapping. Oh, and when they drained it the water wasn't very warm. Funny it was working until they messed with it. And parts might be available the next day - so I was going to be without hot water for a couple of days. They thought that was acceptable. My sister got on the phone to the manager who told the guys to go get the parts so I would have hot water. Did I get a break on anything? Very little. Meanwhile the technician kept patting himself on the back for the good things he was doing - like breaking the hot water heater that THEY installed incorrectly to begin with. A lot of unnecessary stress at a time when it was not needed. DO NOT call them!

I needed a prompt sewer inspection when buying my house and Steve came out immediately. Due to root intrusion he estimated that a 4 ft portion of the sewer line would have to be replaced. When I hired him to repair the line his inspection findings were exactly right. He carefully showed me the broken part of the line, cleared out the roots and showed me the condition of the rest of the line on the sewer scope. Steve answered all my husband's and my questions, and was very professional, honest and knowledgeable throughout. His estimate was his final price, no unexpected added charges. He even helped me replace a toilet at no charge while he was there for the sewer repair. Can't recommend JetLine plumbing highly enough!

We had a pinhole leak in our copper water line immediately connected to the city line. It's in a box on the side walk so not the easiest to work in. I had 3 different plumbing companies offer solutions. Zach from Graham Plumbing was the most thorough and offer 3 solutions. I was hoping that concrete wouldn't have to be broken, and Zach was able to do that and changed out the cooper line, fittings, and the pressure regulator. He explained everything while he was working and was very patient and professional. You learn a lot about someone's integrity and work ethics by talking to them. At the end, the work was done well, and he made sure that the pressure regulator was working correctly. I would recommend Zach and Graham to anyone need plumbing services.

We knew we had a problem with the condensation coming from our A/C. It had backed up and spilled into 2 rooms in our home. Frank came out within a few hours of my call and discovered that the coils were completely covered with dog hair! (warning to owners of large, long haired dogs with undercoats that shed) He got in there and cleaned it all out (easily enough hair to make another dog) for a reasonable fee. We found Frank to have a good sense of customer service as well as being very pleasant and knowledgeable. We will definitely call them again if we have further issues.

Fastest service ever. Send Eddy a message via Yelp, came the next day and got it done for me, and also submitted paperwork. Very reasonable pricing as well. Highly recommend and thanks to Eddy!

Jesse showed up exactly when he said he would (if you know plumbers you know how amazing that is). He is extremely knowledgeable and hard working.
He worked on both my bathrooms and my kitchen. Double and triple checked everything and asked me (several times) to call him back if I had any issues. BEST PLUMBER EVER! Highly recommended.

I have used Mike's Plumbing three different times and was very happy with the service and pricing each time.
The first time was when the tub faucet leaked hot water when I would turn on the shower. Mike came and took a look at it and he started the work and his son finished the work. It no longer leaks and I don't have to rush my showers for fear of using up all the hot water.
The second time was when my garbage disposal stopped working and the sink drain was clogged. I bought a new garbage disposal which Mike installed. He also replaced all of the old copper pipes with new BVC piping and snaked the line to make sure there wouldn't be any more problems with clogs.
The third time I asked Mike to replace the shutoff values for the kitchen sink and to install a T joint so that I could have a separate shutoff valve for the dishwasher. Mike's son did the work and he did a great job!
I would highly recommend Mike's Plumbing.

I called them today for a kitchen sink plug. They said they would be out within the hour and they were so we were off to a good start. Their worker was clean, neat polite and respectful. He laid down mats to keep the floor clean and got right to work. He snaked the drain all the way to the main. when he got done, he cleaned under the sink and the surrounding kitchen floor leaving it cleaner than when he came. All of this for a very reasonable price. I am very impressed and will recommend Harry's to all of my friends. He has my business for life.

Ok I had an appraisal done and they wanted to charge 3 times what Rubio's charged me, great work clean professional and over all affordable and fast, no doubt will always call them from now on

Gorsuch is amazing. They are responsive and responsible. Brian, our tech, quickly resolved our issues and did not offer a more expensive alternative.

Gorsuch Plumbing is responsive and thorough. The knowledge of the workers is amazing. It's always hard to determine the source of the leak when the pipes are in concrete. The first plumber recommended putting holes in the walls and floor. Gorsuch came to the rescue with up-to-date technology that determines the place of the leak as well where the water pipes in the house were located.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.
These guys really helped me out. I had trouble finding a corroded and obscure shower handle cartridge with no idea who the maker was. Checked all the big box, Ace, etc. No one recognized the pattern. I was thinking it was no longer available - which meant the fix would involve chipping out the tile around the opening in order to replace the entire unit. Took my old cartridge to DM and Carlos tried to recognize the maker, then he called Jose over. After a few minutes Jose came back with a huge catalogue, scrolled through, and somehow found the part on page 500 or so. Pretty amazing. Part came earlier than promised and it worked perfectly. Definitely try this place first.
