Had a toilet that wouldn't flush, I plunged it for hours and decided to call alpine, within 5 minutes of them getting to my home and only 35 minutes after calling them they had my toilet flushing. Our downstairs bathroom started to get mold on the ceiling.  To make a long story short, the upstairs bathroom shower pan was leaking.

After the mold remediation team had finished and seemed to narrow down the problem to either a drain issue or shower pan issue for the upstairs bathroom, my wife and I contacted approximately 10 general contractors and shower installation companies using various sources (including Yelp, Google Reviews, word of mouth recommendations, internet searches, etc) to provide their recommendations/proposals for our shower and bathroom.

During the processing of obtaining contractor quotes, we were not comfortable with most of the contractors for various reasons including high sales pitch tactics, lack of detailed explanation relating to waterproofing techniques that will be used during construction, extremely high prices, etc.  We eventually narrowed down the list of contractors to two (including Ixtapa).  However, after further comparison of both companies, we ended up choosing Ixtapa partially due to their quote being more inclusive of everything we wanted done (drywall repair, painting, among other items), their flexibility in recommendations that considered our budget, and most importantly, Ixtapa's clear explanation of their waterproofing techniques in which the utmost care would be taken during their multilayered waterproofing method to minimize any chances of the new tile shower leaking in the future.  Other companies were vague in mentioning only hot mopping as an explanation.  We just felt Ixtapa was the complete package when considering fair price, knowledge, customer reviews showing high quality craftsmanship, communication, etc.  Alex was a very good communicator and listener when we shared our concerns/ideas.  Alex was excellent at balancing our concerns/ideas with his expert advice/recommendations (this skill set Ixtapa apart from the rest of the other construction companies we talked to).

Jay, Alex's business partner, is the construction guru.  Jay is very personable and has high expectations of quality that meet not only his high expectations, but also the customer's.  Although Ixtapa has some workers in addition to Jay, Jay does the detailed design, measurements, and most of the detailed construction.

I liked how Alex made clear what materials Ixtapa provides (rough materials, etc) and explains in detail what materials the customer provides (tile, fixtures, etc).  Alex even provided us a shopping list of items to purchase, quantities of each item, etc.  This made it easier for us.  When it came to choosing a new vanity, Alex recommended a few places for us to look at vanity options.  We settled on a place and we were able to purchase the vanity with Ixtapa's contractor's discount to save some money.  When I was stressed about some issues with vanity options while my wife was out of town on business, Alex took time out of his busy schedule to meet me at the store to help me through my struggles.  With the assistance of my wife by phone, and Alex's help, we were able to make a decision that worked out very well (thank you Alex!).

Ixtapa showed flexibility when we requested changes to the scope of work related to the niche, additional recessed lights, installing the additional exhaust fans in our other bathrooms, among some other changes.  Ixtapa was able to provide a custom glass shower per our requested specifications of partially obscured (middle 50% obscured, the top 25% and bottom 25% clear glass).

Jay and his crew did excellent work.  As other reviewers have stated, Jay is a master craftsman.  Jay and his Ixtapa crew handled everything from the demo, plumbing (installation of new shower drain with weep holes, etc), electrical (exhaust fan, led lights, gfci, etc), shower framing, multilayered waterproofing of shower, tile installation/grouting (shower, bathroom floor), installation of vanity & recessed medicine cabinet/mirror, installation of fixtures, drywall/trim/texture/paint, etc.  The only items/services subcontracted out by Ixtapa to different companies were the hot mopping of shower pan and the manufacturing/installation of the custom glass shower door.

A couple of small/minor issues after completion of the bathroom project were taken care of by Ixtapa.  The end result is fabulous!

We very much look forward to working with Ixtapa in the future with another project or potentially more than one project.

I do not normally write reviews but I cannot say enough about the service that Kristopher provided.  He provided an reasonable quote, and despite issues and additional time required, he did not charge more than his original quote.  Very professional, Highly recomended.

I called the owner Patrick urgently last Monday and he had no hesitation getting someone to come fix my shower leak the very next day. Bud showed up and not only was he efficient but he was very knowledgeable and let me know what exactly was going on and which pipe it was that was leaking. Patrick the owner then had another company come out the same day to check for water damage and mold. I had the leak fixed, water damage dried out and repairs estimated within the week. It was a great experience.

I called Luis to get a quote to replace our single faucet his & her vanity. Luis responded right away and set up a time for installation. He had to get additional hoses for the sinks and installed it right away. Luis checked the bottom of the pipes and noticed a small leak. He told me to get flex tape to put in the area for a temporary fix. Luis was a honest young man and his pricing was fair. I was impressed that the hard work he put in to have his own plumbing business. I will have him service my tankless water heater

I highly recommend Mattucci Plumbing, and the service provided by Matthew and Ops Mgr. Mike M. is what we all hope for when we have to deal with plumbing issues in our homes. They had the best prices and best of all, they were honest. I had a blocked line that line that backed up a toilet, shower and laundry room. When Matthew arrived, he was efficient, clean and arrived exactly when they said he would. After the job was completed, Matthew was kind enough to stick around and answer a ton of questions I threw at him about other jobs (non-emergency) and every quote was below competitor prices. They WILL earn your trust and they now have me as a customer for life. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

My bathroom sink started overflowing last night around 5:30. I called another company who, all told, made me wait over 7 hours over the course of 2 days. I got fed up waiting and bailing out water every 30 minutes, so I called Daniels. Tony picked up, was super friendly, and had me on the schedule to be serviced within the hour, even though it was about noon on a Sunday afternoon. He even went as far as to say if I didn't hear from the technician by the time the hour was up, I could call back and he would handle it immediately. He was also upfront about the prices being a bit more because it was an after-hours call, and though I was already expecting that, I appreciated that he wanted to make sure he was transparent before they came out.
The technician was at my condo within 45 minutes. He was friendly and efficient, and had my sink clear and draining again in about 10 minutes. He was even apologetic about the price being higher, but it wasn't bad at all for a Sunday house call. I am relieved to have found a friendly and responsive plumbing service for my future needs!

BEST EXPERIENCE! Our AC stopped working for some reason. We called Western and they immediately sent out their tech Frank. He found the source of the problem right away (safety switch ‍). He suggested a unit tune up since the service call was $95 so for an extra $50 he checked and cleaned the unit. He found that we were low on refrigerant. Instead of just adding any refrigerant he checked to make sure which type was used previously since it could cause major damage to use different types (never knew). Frank was VERY knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and HONEST! He explained everything he was doing, told us what we did and didn't need, and just an overall nice guy. Never once did he try to add to the services or suggest things we didn't need. This trustworthy family run company is EXCEPTIONAL! We'll be calling on Western anytime we have issues with our HVAC.

This company literally guided me through the whole process!! I reces a letter in the mail about some testing and paperwork had to be submitted I had no idea what's do to, I called AAA Backflow and Eddy took great care of me. He took care of the testing and submitting paperwork to the city for me!

Really don't enjoy writing this review because my family has used Harry's plumbing for over 10 years on several apartment buildings that we maintain. After receiving a call from a tenant on Saturday morning about water leaking on the floor I immediately came over and discovered a water stain that was from unit above. I called and left a message on Saturday stating my problem and that I would like someone to come out on Monday. At 7am Monday morning I received a call saying they would be out at 11am. I was impress that they arrived 5 min early. We talked about the leak and the plumber said it was definitely a sewer leak. He then call his boss which I think is Jeremy and they spoke about it. He hung up the phone with his boss and said that they couldn't fix it. I was really surprise, I shockingly ask why not and he said it would take too long to fix and they didn't have time because they had other appointments. He started walking back to his truck and I said, I don't understand, I told them exactly that on the phone 2 days ago and the fact that I stayed home from work and wasted my morning waiting for them only to find out that they didn't want to fix it was crazy! I was upset and asked him to call his boss back to state my case and we were good customers I thought of them. He refused to call and drove away. I called his boss and right away sent to voicemail and left a message asking for a call back. This was at 11:15 am and now it's almost 4pm the same day and no call back. The main reason why this is disturbing is they didn't even offer a suggestion of when they could come back or who else to call. I called my old plumber that recently had surgery and is only doing small jobs and he fixed the copper 90 for me. When the guy from Harrys left hit the soggy drywall with a hammer and could easily see the leaking pipe in 2 min. It's as if this plumber didn't want to get dirty? The last time we used them they said the entire toilet was bad and needed replacing after we just replaced last year. A few simple washers or seals was all that needed to be replace. Sorry, I'm not giving Harrys a third try!

The only reason i cannot  rate Rubio's plumbing any higher is because the rating only go as high as 5 stars ! I would rate Rubios plumbing 11 or higher.  I had several plumbing jobs that needed to be done. Robert and Fernando took care of all of them in one day  ! excellent job at an affordable price ! Rubio's plumbing is the real deal ! Honest and affordable work !   You won't be disappointed with Rubios Plumbing !

Just had an emergency pin hole leak.
They responded quickly, was here in about a half hour, patched it for now and was done in 10 minutes.
Daniel was very polite and very professional.

Way over priced. The service is friendly enough but I won't be back. $40 for a 4 ABS San Tee. I would rather support local businesses but this is one I just can't afford.
