I have an old 1940's heater that's very temperamental. The crew at Gorsuch knew the the model and handled the problem and the repair price was outstanding.

They constantly have to go back and forth and it always takes forever to solve the problem. They have been to my residence multiple times for the same pipe bursting and have even cut through the wall, yet I'm still having the same issues. Also, The older gentleman is very unfriendly and has pretty low standards of people skills. I would look for another Plumber to be honest....

I had Gorsuch plumbing solve my problem multiple times.
I have to say that they sometimes make minor mistakes here and there, but they always come back to solve the problem, and so their customer satisfaction is guaranteed... it does not get any better than this.

I've had Noel work on my condo twice now- once on my bathroom sink and again on my kitchen sink- and he has been fckn awesome. He is super cool, very professional, wore a mask both times (thank you!) and is extremely efficient. He even remembered my dog the second time he came by. I was worried that I'd have to get a whole new garbage disposal but Noel was able to unclog whatever biochemical disaster was down there. If you have Gorsuch Plumbing do work on your place, for sure request Noel!

Want to give a huge shout out to Gerald and Noel for recently clearing all of the drains. These guys are elite professionals and took great care in helping us to maintain our building.  They rock. Thank you so very much. Please continue to take care of us and our plumbing issues here.

I am upgrading the review to two stars because after I wrote them a letter about the $135 bill, they agreed to waive it. I appreciate that, but feel we should never have been billed for it in the first place. Also it took two tries for them to waive it; it should have been waived on the first request. Still wouldn't use them but at least I feel better that the bill was waived upon second request.

I worked with Brent, and he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and nice to work with. It's always refreshing to work with someone that really knows their stuff and is good at their job.

I can't speak for all Gorsuch's employees since I've only worked with Brent, but I would highly recommend Brent/Gorsuch.

I had a very pleasant experience with Jason the plumber who was assigned to my clogged kitchen sink and shower. He was very respectable, professional and a polite young man.
I will always request that Jason be sent for any future plumbing problems. Kudos Jason!

Gorsuch did a professional and great job in fixing a serious leak.  Roland and Brett were amazing and worked for hours late into the evening to make sure we were fine and had water.  Since we have a very elderly parent with us we were so appreciative.  I highly recommend these two.

Do I have to even give this company 1 star?

I should have known when our grumpy HOA president recommended this place that it was not good. But, in an effort to avoid getting yelled at again by him (can I review him on here?)...I decided to give Gorsuch a chance because in his words, They know our building. Ugh, whatever.

So, I was apparently supposed to request Rick, which I did. Never, ever, ever again is he allowed back inside our place.

The first time he came, he allowed us to have one working toilet by simply putting a new connector hose & valve in. That was around $123. Besides being expensive ($90 per hour)- this service was ok.

The second time, he came to fix our sink by replacing a pipe underneath. It started leaking immediately after he left. He did come back a day or two later to fix this problem, so we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen in the meantime.
Ugh. He also kicked his tennis shoes all over our brand new white baseboards, which we now have to re-paint. Thanks Rick.
Our bill for this was $522.

This last time he came is what made me finally give up on Rick and Gorsuch. He started to re-do some of the pipes in our shower we were about to tile. He turns the water on. I hear a bunch of swearing from the bathroom and run over....the pipe is spraying water everywhere. He says that he can fix it...by welding it, or something like that. Okay Rick, you are the professional. I trust you. Right.

So, unfortunately we believe Rick that it works and we proceed to tile our shower. A few days before my mom is coming to visit, we try out the shower. No leaking from the front side- awesome. We go around to the access panel through the closet in back.....and yup, you guessed it....water all over!! What the heck Rick?!?
So, now we have to arrange for them to come out, yet again. This time Chris comes. Chris was WAY nicer than Rick. Chris didn't make a mess anywhere. Chris fixed Rick's mistakes. Yay, Chris.

But, bottom line...no more hiring Gorsuch. 5 trips and almost $800 later, ugh. Don't put yourself through it.

I currently own a condominium unit that I have been renting out for quite some time. Ive had to call this plumbing service about 4 times due to clogs that were tenant-related.
Every time I call, it's always more than a pleasure to talk to their dispatcher/receptionist.  She's very sweet and understanding when I call with a frustrating situation.
They ALWAYS send a technician out for service the same day. Because I'm not physically at my unit, they will personally call me and explain to me in simple words about what exactly they found, what needs to be done, and how much it will cost. I  can't appreciate this courtesy enough.
After the work has been done, they email me with the bill that outlines everything they did, the problem, and a breakdown of the invoice.
I have every intention of using their services in the future if plumbing problems ever should arise.

The technician, Noel, arrived on time and was wearing a mask and proceeded to fix my master bathroom sink which not only was clogged but was dripping water under the cabinet. He kept me up-to-date on what was going on and his workspace was kept clean and he left the bathroom in great order. He answered all my questions and all and all it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this company and especially Noel.

Gorsuch is GREAT!  They did an entire Heating Rebuild on our gas furnace.  It was very difficult to access - under the house in a tight squeeze of a space.  Other contractors could not, or would not, do the job with the difficulty in accessing it.  Gorsuch did it without hesitation.  And they did an excellent job.  They were very easy to communicate with, patiently answered all my questions, and they were very cooperative in working with my Home Warranty Plan's confusing paperwork.

I could not recommend them enough!

As exhausted as I am from dealing with a water leak from my upstairs neighbor last night and AGAIN today...I still wanted to stop and thank Leo for his great work and professionalism. He responded right away. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and kept me posted every step of the way. I never had to look for him and I felt confident he had everything under control. He even helped with some of the cleanup by bringing me plastic tarps for the floors and using a wetvac to pick up water. Thanks Leo for caring and making a horrible situation so much better!

I had a to replace the shower handle in 2 showers at my rental and I wanted to get it done as quickly as possible the first place I called couldn't get there for a week so I called this place and they had openings the next day, now I know why, they were very accommodating and helpful on the phone so I felt good about using them. They went out the next day and called me to let me know that the water would have to be shut off so they couldn't fix it that day and that the project would take about 3 hours. I made the arrangements and set up the appointment, they sent me an estimate which seemed high but I knew a 3 hour job wasn't going to be cheap. In the day of the appointment they were over an hour late and the 3 hour job turned into a 45 min job in which I was still charged for the full time and I was also charged for the first time they came out in which they just diagnosed the problem. I've never been charged for the initial appointment if that company ends up doing the job?! I emailed them about the huge difference in the amount of time it took and what I was charged for and I was told their technician said it took over 3 hours and they should have technical charged me more, ridiculous!

My shower faucet was leaking and getting worse so I called Gorsuch plumbing to come and fix the leak.  Our technician was Joe and he called me before arriving to let me know he was on his way and wanted to make sure he had all the correct parts for the repair.  Joe was very professional, friendly, and thorough.  He didn't have a tall enough ladder to access our roof and turn off the water heater, but he used the ladder he had and climbed up on the roof so I didn't have to pay for extra time or reschedule the repair.  We live in a complex where you have to shut off the water to the whole complex for plumbing repairs so it is a annoying for all the residents.  But Joe turned off the water and repaired the leak efficiently and quickly, the water was only turned off for about 30-40 minutes.  Joe made sure the repairs fixed the leak and that all the water was turned back on and the hot water was working.  I was very happy with the communication and service I received, I definitely recommend Gorsuch to anyone for plumbing services.  Joe was a great technician with excellent communication and knowledge whom I felt very comfortable and confident with.  Overall, a great experience at a good price.

My husband Richard C. and I both have trusted this company for over 15 years. GORSUCH plumbing is ran very fairly and with a great team of people from Lacey to Rick and Kevin and Joe and the rest of the gang.  They stand by their work and even check in to see how things are going after a repair happens. I just got off the phone with Kevin 5 min ago making sure our pilot light was still lit. It had gone out on us.

We have used them once for a water main leak our gardener and friend Alfredo found. They immediately came and shut off the water. Returning the next day to fix the pipe. We were very happy with the speed and friendliness of the whole service.

Two years ago during a very cold rainy season, they came right away and installed a new water heater. Our home warranty had it covered but put us on a two week waiting list for it to be seen (not fixed).  So, we called Gorsuch and again the team pulled through for us. Rick installed an amazing water heater with a warranty with their company.

We always know that we will get GREAT service and the team feels like an extension of our family. They care and it shows. Thanks, Jed

Brent From Gorsuch Plumbing came out over the weekend to diagnose and eventually replace our hot water heater. Our warranty company gave us the blues but after jumping through hurdles with them, Brent was ready and quickly replaced our unit. He was personable, knowledgeable and educational (two ladies in the house that know nothing about water heaters). The customer service and responsiveness was above average. We only dealt with Brent and their answering service (because it was after hours/ holiday weekend) so my review and support is 100% based on them). I would definitely recommend Gorsuch for any plumbing needs!! Thanks again, Brent!!

Gorsuch come out to replace a shower valve for me; I called them as they know my building well. When I called them, the receptionist was courteous and easy to talk to, and they quoted me a price over the phone. The job was completed quickly and professionally, I am pleased with the service and would call this company again.

Whenever I have to call a plumber, its scary.  Because we don't know anything about plumbing, we are at the mercy of the plumber we call.  Our condo was flooding into the unit below, it was Saturday and the tenants below and our tenants were upset. I called Gorsuch Plumbing & Heating and had to leave a message.  They called me back within three minutes and agreed to go by the condo to access the situation within a hour. The plumber who was the best constantly communicated with me.  He explained the problem, said the repairs could wait until Monday (so I would not be charged after hour charges).  He took pictures of the damaged downstairs unit, informed my tenant how not to cause further damage  and left.

They returned on Monday, repaired the broken overflow and everyone is happy. I was billed lower than my estimate which I felt was fair because it removed a tremendous amount of stress off of everyone since the initial incident occured on a Saturday.

I hope I don't have to use them again anytime soon, but they will be the only person I call if I need a plumber.

I had a blocked bathtub drain. Tried to fix it myself using recommendations from online to no avail. Called Gorsuch and they sent out technician Nathan. He arrived right on time in the morning. Came prepared. evaluated the situation and then went to work and cleared the drain quickly. Cleaned up the area in the tub and around the tub where he had been working. Did a very good job and was very professional. I would use Gorsuch again for any plumbing issues and would request Nathan for service.

Tonight I came home to a gross kitchen sink clogged with other neighbors food and grease. (I live in condo bottom floor) The owner of the company called me back and actually told me he would dispatch someone right away. I was lucky enough to to get NOEL, he came within an hour and cleared everything up. He was so professional and nice. It was 9:30 pm on Friday holiday weekend and he still came here with a great attitude. Thanks Noel for saving me tonight!

I've used them for a few projects and they are always so nice and professional.  The ladies who do the scheduling are always so pleasant and really work with you to fit in a technician to work with your schedule.  Even offering a call ahead so I can come home to meet the technician instead of taking off time to stay home for the whole window.  The technicians are friendly and efficient.  Couldn't be happier with gorsuch plumbing

I was misguided by Mike Diamond, thinking I needed WAY MORE work than  I really did. It was just a simple backed up drain or so I thought.

Mike Diamond. Wanted me to rip open the wall, replace pipes and  hydro jet the plumbing. They quoted me a reasonable price for the work but too high for my budget, plus the thought of ripping up walls, repainting and spending that sort of money were making me sick.

Needless to say, I kept my upstairs sink out of commission all Summer because of this quote.

The guys from Gorsuch came in, snaked it, and fixed the piping underneath the sink in less than 45 mins....now my sink is draining as it should be. And for attraction of what Mike Diamond wanted to charge me for the same problem

Niice guys ....good price...quick service....problem solved

I will DEFINITELY use them again for any plumbing need.

Mike Diamond smells like cheap cologne anyway!

This Co has gone downhill....I scheduled an appointment to install a toilet...The Tech they sent was inexperienced..After an hour he had mounted the toilet but told me he couldn't connect the water supply because the Ballcock intake on the Cistern wasn't 7/8,and he had zero idea what to do other than contact Toilet Company....So he left, toilet not hooked up,he didn't even caulk around botton of toilet....He charged me $147!!!....After he left,I read the instructions...The Ballcock intake had an adapter, which I unscrewed and enabled me to connect water supply in 5 minutes...There are plenty of good plumbers in Long Beach, sadly Gorusch is no longer one of them

Do not use this company if you want your credit card information to be compromised. We used them three times for different jobs and they claimed they didn't have the correct card information to charge my card each time using the same card. I had to keep giving them my credit card information every time they did a job because they claimed it was wrong. It turned out that they had one digit wrong on the card then it was three times I have had to give them the correct card number for multiple jobs. They are so disorganized they can't even save the correct card information. On top of that, this last time we used there service, an extremely rude person named Isabelle yelled at me on the phone when I tried to ask questions as to why they keep getting my card information wrong for every job they did. She was the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever spoken to. As far as service, the times we used them was just for them turning off the water for our condo for $250 and then the other time we asked one of the plumbers some questions then he charged $190 just for coming out for 10min.  They are too expensive and not worth dealing with disorganized, rude and unprofessional people.
Unfortunately, our condo hoa uses them but we will never be using them for any service of our choosing again.

I had another great experience with Gorsuch Plumbing & Heating! Their plumber Noel just cleared my sink, he did a great job. He arrived at the beginning of the estimated window, and he worked quickly and efficiently.  He was very polite, and he also gave me a great estimate on future work I'd like to have done. It was an easy appointment to schedule and I'm very satisfied with the service.

I have used these guys in the past for a couple of issues.  Chris and Mario did a great job helping me with my backed up toilet.
So, I asked Gorsuch out to bid a job. I appreciated the way they worked together to present a solution to my gas leak. I LOVED Lance and Luke - two nice, professional plumbers! I wound up giving the job to another company, but because of their professionalism, I would give these guys a call again.  Thank you for your professionalism Matt.

I'm a landlord that lives in the area (0.5 miles from Gorsuch's HQ) and we have used them and I say avoid them like a case of the clap!

Repair man comes out to the property and gives this BS presentation on how they don't work on commission and that they don't up sell.  He takes a look at the problem and then proceeds to make recommendations on the fixing of our kitchen faucet and offers that we can save some money if we go and by the necessary parts ourselves.  Ok sure.

He gives us the parts to take to a plumbing supply store and we buy the items.  He then installs them and says everything is fine until over the night the kitchen floods.  Mr. no up sell apparently bent the connector hose from underneath the sink when installing the new parts.  When I contact him the next day to come out and take care of the problem he begins this song and dance of how he did everything correctly and that it was somehow our fault that the connector hose created the leak.

I then spoke with Mr. Gorsuch and he said he would talk to the repair man, not come out and see the problem.  No surprise here as he says that based on what his repair man told him he didn't feel that they were responsible for what happened....

Total out of pocket:  $500.00 including hiring a real plumber to fix the #@!%*&# up that Gorsuch created.

Avoid at all costs!  I'd give them zero stars if it was an option.

My landlord called used this company to try and fix our floor heater.  They came out and taped a piece of plastic of the heater saying the work was done.  They left the door to the crawl space in the middle of my son's room and tracked dirt from the crawl space all over his bedroom and the hallway.  Some of their tools were also left at our house.  When we turned the heater on it omitted a terrible burning plastic smell.  We called the gas company and they came out to do another safety check and it did NOT pass inspection due to the makeshift cap.  Once called the technician came back and placed a real cap on that some how was found. Waiting for the gas company again because they shut our furnace off again due the the safety issue of carbon monoxide.

Updating my review from 2012.

2015
Gorsuch is amazing.  They are responsive and responsible.  Brian, our tech, quickly resolved our issues and did not offer a more expensive alternative.

2012
Gorsuch Plumbing is responsive and thorough.  The knowledge of the workers is amazing.   It's always hard to determine the source of the leak when the pipes are in concrete.  The first plumber recommended putting holes in the walls and floor.  Gorsuch came to the rescue with up-to-date technology that determines the place of the leak as well where the water pipes in the house were located.

Three years ago I hired another company to upgrade my water heater and replace my toilet's water valves that had been frozen. When my brother installed a toilet for me, he forgot or didn't know about washers. Hence, there was a problem leak going into the apartment below. My neighbor was going out of the town the next day and called Gorsuch. A dark-haired man tore a huge hole in her ceiling, then said he had to see what was happening above and where it was coming from. He came up here and right off the bat called me a liar. By the time he walked from the front door to my bathroom he must have sniffed five times. My first reaction was he did a line of coke before the call. He was so rude to me. I've seen him do jobs in our building but I've never seen him like this. Without my permission he knocked a large hole in the drywall behind my toilet near the valves and a huge amount of holes under my sink in between my pipes. I said, Are you tearing holes in my wall without asking for my permission? He called me a liar again. A real professional gives Gorsuch a good name all over town I'm sure. More sniffing. I had to pay over $283 to fix the hole he tore in my neighbor's ceiling. I kept putting off fixing these drywall issues in my own, but I got the drywall, the wood slats, the screws, the tape, the big container of goop... so that perhaps I could youtube it and do it myself. Way above my capacity. Finally this last week I had someone come in and fix the hole behind the toilet. He spent hours on the holes under my sink and said the way they were demolished there is no way to fix them. Thank you Gorsuch. I called to make a complaint as my resale value went way down because  your cocained-out employee destroyed my property without asking, but plenty of attitude. The leak had nothing to do with my sink. Bad call idiot. Next time I see you I will get your name and plaster it on here. I could totally pick you out of a police line and that's where your behavior should put you. I personally think you should fix this since you broke it for no good reason. But please don't send the cocaine dude back. Thanks. Please be a bit more careful with whom you hire. He might look good but his soul is trash.

Gorsuch Plumbing sent their plumber, Noel, to fix a clog in my kitchen sink. Because I own a condo, it also required him to access my neighbors unit. He was EXCELLENT! The unit in my condo was leaking apparently from the floor. The builders who built this place encased the copper pipes in cement in the floor. We didn't know this. It was crazy trying to find this thing.
Leo from Gorsuch Plumbing went above and beyond with helping me and the neighbor (below me) whose bedroom my pipe was leaking on! He was super kind and considerate from start to finish. It was like a 3 day job and he was always available and helpful even with the weekend in between days.
So thank you so much Leo and Kevin from Gorsuch!
You saved the neighbor's ceiling! Too bad my floor is now a mess. ;)

I agree, call another plumber.  My charge for 15 minutes was $250 to change a $15 part. They are not ethical and will take your money at the first chance they can. I have spent thousands of dollars working with this plumber as they are the preferred vendor of my HOA.  On top of the issues I already mentioned, they cannot often do the job correctly the first time and have to return of course with more help which means more money. Run as fast as you can from this plumber. I'm selling my condo in order not to deal with the HOA and this plumber of choice.

Brent was incredibly helpful and he and Robert did a great job installing a water heater. Our previous tankless heater broke and when Brent came out, he realized it hadn't been installed to code. We have an old house and it was going to be difficult to install a new one properly. Brent helped us work through several options to get a new one, including helping us figure out locations and pricing out alternatives. He spent a lot of time with us in advance taking a look at our house and answering questions via phone.

We're really pleased with the new heater that he and Robert installed. The install looks great. He fit the heater into a tight space with proper venting and strapping. We aren't experiencing several of the weird issues we were with the previous heater such as cold water sandwiches and the water out of the tap gets hot within seconds. I really appreciate the quick response, answering all my questions, and Brent's knowledge of proper code and installation which may have prevented us from getting carbon monoxide poisoning from the previous improper install.

We called Gorsuch regularly at the condo building I used to live at. They always did a great job at a fair price. They handled some pretty big jobs for us and we haven't had any problems come up. I highly recommend calling them.

Rick from Gorsuch Plumbing came to my home which is a second-floor condo, to help search out a plumbing leak complaint from the occupant who lives underneath me. Rick was in my unit for less than 30 minutes. The entire job lasted approximately one hour. Gorsuch charge me $162 for a claim of two hours of work which was not true. I contacted the office manager Adriana who assured me she would speak to her boss and Rick and call me back and if I did not hear from her to call her. I called her three times she would not take my call nor did she return my call. In an effort to find the leak not only did Rick use my screwdriver to open the access wall I also assisted him in putting a plug in the bathtub in and let it fill up & released it in order to determine where the leak was coming from. I do not recommend this company. They did not display a good work ethic and they are not reliable in following through on their word.

Additionally Rick claimed I must replace the waste & overflow in order to fix the leak. He quoted an estimated price of $450. I asked if he could take out the drain and make sure it was sealed properly because the leak was coming from outside the drain. he assured me know it must be replaced. I called another plumber to come out who charged me $60, he unscrew the drain found there was no plumbers tape or plumbers putty to seal the drain, he applied both, which sealed the drain and I have had no problems since. It has been over two months ago.

I do not recommend Gorsuch Plumbing due to their poor customer service and unfair charges.

I recently experienced a leak under my kitchen sink that caused a little flooding - fortunately I was home and noticed it right away before any damage could occur to the cabinet and wood floors.

Of course this happened on a Saturday and I knew it needed to get fixed quickly or I'd be without a working kitchen sink for who knows how long.

I texted my contact at JTM Property Management (I highly recommend them!) and within minutes he texted me back with instructions to call Gorsuch Plumbing. They were all over it and in less than 3 hours, the problem was fixed.

The communication was professional, clear and timely with everyone I spoke to during the process: Selicia, Lacy and Jason.  Everything went like clockwork. Jason, the plumber, even brought a new garbage disposal just in case that turned out to be the problem, which it was.

I highly recommend Gorsuch for plumbing repairs!

Leo from Gorsuch saved the day. He happened to be in  my building make other repairs when I sprung a leak at one of my kitchen valves.   Luckily,  his company was one of the approved vendors for my building. Once I explained the situation, he immediately knew the seriousness of the leak and promptly gave me the proper channels to go through for the emergency repairs. Within 10 minutes from receiving hoa approval, Leo sprung to action and fixed the issue.  Leo was professional and courteous. I liked that he was by the book. My experience with Leo was superb and I felt that his employer should know.

Ok, I'm updating my review because the owner finally called me back after 4 months. He apologized, and came over with one of his best plumbers.  We allocated the costs and I agreed to pay only for the work that they did.  I need not pay for the toilet leak that they did not fix.

My past review about 6 weeks ago
This company charged my credit card even though they did not fix the toilet leak in my rental condo. I specifically asked for a detailed invoice when I hired them, which they promised to give me, but they never did and they just charged my credit card for $520! (Lesson learned - never give your credit card number to this company over the phone if they have not done the work, in fact, don't even hire this company. I made the mistake of hiring this company because our HOA uses them by default.) They told me they did 3 things (one of which was the toilet leak which their plumber NEVER fixed!). I called them to complain and they promised to send a more experienced plumber, but they sent back the same kid who made it even worse. He just made a mess of the toilet (did not put it back) the following day and left it like that and proceeded to inform me that I would have to pay ANOTHER $383 to $472 to install a new toilet! Meanwhile, they did NOT tell me that they already charged my card for $520 (note that the kid did NOT fix the toilet leak and they did NOT even send me any invoice!) I called them again, and they prepared an invoice after the fact (after 34 days!) and it was for a lump sum amount of $520, when they specifically promised to send me a detailed invoice and cost allocation of the 3 things their plumber allegedly did (toilet leak, sink, shower handle). Meanwhile, I have to fill out this long form sent to me by my credit card company regarding my dispute. I informed my credit card company that I am not disputing the sink repair. Unfortunately, since I didn't get an allocation, i didn't know how much was charged to the toilet and shower handle repairs (that were not fixed). I My co-worker's plumber installed a new toilet for half the price that this kid quoted me! In the mean time, I'm still down by $520 for the labor on the toilet leak and shower handle that this kid did not even fix.

So I am on my way to work today and getting onto the 22 freeway to 7th Street and was behind one of Grosuch Plumbing trucks. As we both get on the 22 freeway he is not using his blinker and once we on in our lane I switch lanes to pass him. Well he must has thought I knew he was coming over and that I should have known this even though he was still not using a blinker.

Once got along side of him he swerved at me several times in an attempt to scare or threaten me with his larger vehicle. He then rode up on my backend and I applied my brakes in an attempt to get him to stop tailgating me for my own safety.

After that he moved over and started to pass everyone in the far right emergency lane prior to the 3rd lane opening up from the on ramp and of course he had to flip me off and then drove like a crazy person swerving in and out of traffic until he turned on PCH off of 7th Street.

I hope he was just in a hurry to save someone from a broken pipe that was flooding their house, but I doubt it.

We had temporary Repair Clamp Handiband from Home Depot for holding water from damaged copper pipe and it worked great! Next day Gorsuch plumbing guy came by and he fixed our pipe quick . It's took 15-20min maximum. Great but he took our Clamp Handiband and thought bit pricy for easy quick fix for 15min.

Incredibly over priced for an extremely easy job that took just a few minutes. Confronted the office on the outrageous overage and was told to expect a check in the mail, never received it and now my emails are blocked from the company. Pick a new plumber.

The management company that handles our HOA's business sent out a plumber one day. Seems that one of my neighbor's garage had a leak in the ceiling. They wanted to see if it came from my shower, so they checked it out. I heard nothing back for a couple of weeks, when they again show up unannounced to check on the leak again. Luke this time, who has a vaunted 40 years of plumbing experience. Anyway, the first guys never found the source of the leak, and had to come back to check again, as my neighbor who's bathroom is on the other side of mine wasn't home the first visit, so they couldn't check his bathroom.
So, water is run in the shower, much fuss is made, and no water comes down in the neighbor's garage. But Luke, in his infinite wisdom, sees my shower door's seal is a little deteriorated at the bottom. Somehow, this indicates that water is escaping from my shower, pooling on my bathroom floor, and leaking down to the garage. Seems odd, as the floor of that bathroom isn't wet after the shower is used. There does seem to be signs of leakage under my bathroom floor though. Luke offers zero advice on how to address this, advising that a contractor should come and replace the shower door.
I take out the shower door, and replace it with a curtain. Still no water getting out of the shower.
I hire a well reviewed plumber who's trucks I see all over the neighborhood. They also can't generate a leak from my shower, but reseal the shower, and replace a leaky faucet valve.
Lo and behold, the management company sends me a $350 dollar bill for the two trips for Gorsuch to 'identify' the problem. I call management, they say talk to Gorsuch. I call Gorsuch, and everybody with authority is out to lunch. Receptionist says she'll talk to the tech, and they'll get back to me. Never hear another thing, but the management paid the bill (they hired Gorsuch in the first place, and the bill is to them. They're just billing me as my pipes/shower are causing the leak.) and are now going to have a 'hearing' about why the management company hasn't been paid.

BECAUSE $350 TO MISDIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY! I'm not sure what kickbacks management are getting on this, but there must be some bull going on. I saw Gorsuch for 15 minutes max over two trips. I didn't require two trips. I pretty well knew Luke was gaslighting me on the problem as he couldn't diagnose the issue properly, so made up a story to pass the buck.

Utter and complete rip off.

I scheduled an appointment with Gorsuch to fix a leaky tub faucet, my delivery window was between 10AM-2PM. The plumber showed up right at 2PM, which would have been fine except that he said he that he didn't have all the tools he needed, and that he would need to leave and come back. He came back around 3PM, the water to the building was not shut off until then (the notices I posted to the other tenants had warned that the water would be shut off between the hours of 10AM- 2PM). I will say that the plumber, Robert, did a great job of fixing the leak and replacing the shower handles in a timely manner. My major complaint with Gorsuch is that they charged my credit card for the job even though I had already paid by check, and the check had cleared. When I called Gorsuch I spoke to Lacy and she said she would need to check with the accountant, she said she would call me back but she never did. As of this review Gorsuch has still not credited my card back, I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and mail them a copy of the (cashed) check. Really an inconvenience on my part for a mistake Gorsuch made, next time I will try someone else.

I called Gorsuch Plumbing to come check out my toilet that had a slight leak coming from the tank and it ran all the time. $300 later, I now have a fixed (hopefully) twenty-something year old toilet. Here is the deal. I think these guys try to take advantage of whatever they can. If they think you don't really understand plumbing, or how much things cost, you are screwed! The guy who came out to my house, Luke, came the first time and basically looked at the toilet, said it needed parts that he would have to order because Kohler toilets only take Kohler parts. He charged me $138 for this ($90 for an hour, which he whittled a lot of that time away down at his truck writing up the bill, and $48 for a service call). He finally came back today to install the parts, and when I asked him how much he thought it would be, he told me somewhere between $180 to $220 depending on how long it took him. Okay, that seemed extreme, so I questioned him about it. Mind you, this was to replace one bolt in the tank and put a new flapper in....longer than an hour???? I think not. Anyway, I let him know that didn't sound right to me and I kept an eye on him while he fixed it to make sure he wasn't wasting time. After the 30 minutes it took, he said,I'll go write up the bill and be back. At that point, I said, why can't you write up the bill here? At this time, he knew I was suspicious, so he didn't take that long, but I bet if I hadn't done all of this, he would have taken longer than an hour and he would have spent a long time down at his truck writing up the bill. I can't even say how disappointing this is to me.  I just think people who try to take advantage of others are the lowest of low. I have a regular plumber, Pro-Rooter, who I just love, and I am kicking myself for not calling them this time. I will never ever again be calling Gorsuch for anything.

Wow, the only consistent thread is one disappointment after another with this company. They promise but don't deliver, are constantly late, typically 4 hours on 2 occasions, which is a problem when you have people in 2 other adjacent units also waiting for Gorsuch to access their units for common drain pipes. This repair job is running about one month, showers in 2 units are still unusable. Repairman showed up after noon (initially, an 8 AM appointment) and didn't even know the unit number, even though he'd been there several times in the last month.

I had to have an emergency water heater replacement today and Gorusch was able to send someone out less than 12 hours after I called.  Originally I called at 10 PM last night and they told me to turn off the water to the heater so I could wait until morning to replace it and avoid a major surcharge for after hours work.

Everything went well, the installer was friendly and got it done in about 2.5 hours.

The only downside of my experience was that the first guy left a huge mess outside in the walkways of my condo.   It was a shared space so it didn't take long for the other residents to call and complain.  I called the main line and within 90 minutes someone (Leo) came out and spent 30 minutes cleaning the entire floor.   He didn't charge and was willing to come out after 8 PM on a Friday to fix it.  He was very friendly and communicative and updated me regularly from when I called to when he arrived.   He was excellent!!!

One of the headaches with home ownership is having to call a plumber.  It seems as though the last two that came out to unclog a drain did the bare bones minimum.  The last time I called my home warranty company (a whole other story in itself)  I was put in touch with Gorsuch Plumbing.

My experience was way better than I expected.  The guy that came out to snake my drain was polite and professional.  He ran into a snag and had to bring in the mega snake.  Once my pipes were clear, he showed me the problem and described what may need to be done in the future if I continue to find roots in my pipes.

For this service, I was charged for the call and nothing else, even though I ended up with two plumbers at my house!

I highly recommend Gorsuch Plumbing and wouldn't think twice about giving them a call next time I have problems.  Give them a try!

Somehow a neighbor had gotten into a building panel and turned off a water valve that serviced our unit!  Gorsuch Plumbing had been there to give the neighbor a quote and noticed the closed valve. They notified me and then tried their darnedest to go back and turn it back on (over a weekend). They did all this even though there was nothing in it for them. They contacted the bldg management, came to my unit and checked things out, and eventually gained access to the trouble-making neighbor's unit and turned on the water for me, all as courtesy !  I will use them from now on for any plumbing needs that may come up.

The company had two guys at a neighbor's house. I asked if they had time to clean out a drain. They did, but used a smaller, hand held rooter than other companies have in the past. I had them back out as it appeared to still be leaking--turns out it was just the washer line that had been disconnected so they could access the drain. The tech tried to charge me for a service call. Then the drain backed up again (usually happens every year or so) so when the tech was back in the neighborhood, I asked him to come by. Never did. I sent an email to the company. No reply. I contacted a friend of the owner. No reply. So my take is that the tech was lazy and the management doesn't seem to care.

We used to be faithful customers but they just kept taking advantage of my parents.

We called yesterday for one last chance, and they said they'd help us, but we never heard back from them.

We called again this morning to figure out what was going on, since we were left in the dark, and they blew off our appointment because their services were down or something. Then they wanted to charge my mom $100 more to come today because it's a holiday. What? No. They firstly should've contacted us somehow immediately to communicate they couldn't make it yesterday or even this morning. And heck no to the holiday fees when our original appointment was yesterday.

I found a new plumber in 3 minutes on Yelp and they're already marvelous to deal with.

I live in a secured building so this is the place that is recommended by the HOA. At first I was a bit hesitant because I read some review but MY experience has been quite the contrary. From day one when I called the office my contact person has been Lacey and she has been nothing but splendid with my fiancé and I. With scheduling and keeping us informed, she made each step of the way easy and kept up with details. Thank you so much Lacey, keep up the great work!!!

I also want to thank Rick and Ryan for coming out to the place and not having to cut a hole in the wall as our bathroom with the leak had no access panel and I was concerned it was going to be way more than there was! They did a great job and everything was fixed between the time frame that was predicted. Now I have to available bathroom available instead of one.

Thanks guys!!!!

If you care at all about what your home looks like when they're done I do not recommend using Gorsuch. I had a clogged bathroom sink. Since I know that snaking is not a clean task I removed some of the contents of my bathroom cabinet before hand.

What I didn't count on was that I had the Jackson Pollock of plumbers in my home. His preferred medium was black gooey sewage which he procured from the common drain that my stack of condos uses. It was a particularly robust vintage that he proceeded to splatter with the snake all over the inside of the cabinet, the sliding organizer trays, all the contents of the cabinet that I rue leaving inside, and even the underside of the sink (a particularly challenging spot to clean since you have to climb into the cabinet to see and reach it).

I suppose I should count myself lucky that I had removed the bath mat from the room. That meant the black splatter was all over my tile floor. There were a few black smears on the cabinet and floor, which were a sign of hasty clean up attempts by the plumber. It may not surprise you to know that aside from the interior of the cabinet I found stray splatter on the walls and door of my bathroom. So after the 40 minutes of clean up, not including the dry time for all the contents of the cabinet, I'm quite positive I will never use Gorsuch again. I will only recommend them to my enemies.

What's the good news? They arrived during the 4 hour window they committed to and had fixed the clogged drain in about 30 minutes.

I would give them a zero if I could. Dishonest, don't they sell out, and very unprofessional. I had brought them on board to address plumbing issues in our building and if it were not for me they would not be contracted by our building. Nonetheless, in order for them to keep the contract they became engaged in unethical and unprofessional assessments in order to gain business.    Obviously, this communicates that they are not working in the best interest of the homeowner, instead they are looking for the quick dollar. Save yourself some money, and grief, and find a better plumbing company.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL ANOTHER PLUMBER.  Unless you like paying a premium for the work, taking for ever to get the job done,  and receiving substandard customer service.  I have been dealing with Gorsuch for the past four months and it has been the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor.  I am the president of a homeowner's association and Gorsuch was recommended to us by the HOA management company as a plumbing company of size and reputation to get a larger project done.  I don't know how they have built this so-called great reputation.  When they came out to bid a gas re-piping and new gas meter job for a 21 unit building in Long Beach, it was a disaster from the start.  After agreeing to pay upwards of $35,000 for this project and signing a contract that said it would take about two weeks, I specifically asked to be kept abreast of the project.  Instead, this two week project turned into a four month nightmare!  I don't fault the workers, but the owner/manager, Matthew, had the communication and business skills on par with any organization that has driven themselves out of business for not listening to the consumer.  You would have thought that a $35,000 job would have come with some progress updates.  Instead, they complained about trenching under the building and lack of cooperation from the tenants for access.  This is something they knew from the moment they bid the project.  But instead of communicating these issues, they just let it drag on.  I still to this day do not know what took so long.  I was told at the beginning of the job, that the gas would remain on in the units that did not have leaks, that the city would turn on the meters as they passed inspection, etc.  All these were either lies or a general lack of knowledge on the City of Long Beach policies.  The outcome was that 21 units went without gas for heating and for cooking for FOUR months!  To pour salt in the wound, I facilitated getting access to some units by hand delivering keys to their receptionist.  They lost the keys and then tried to say that I had given them different keys and point the finger at me.  I sent them so many emails asking for updates that went unanswered.  The sad part is that Gorsuch was so short sided as the association had voted to allow only one plumbing company to do all future work on the building and that company was to be Gorsuch.  Now, we have voted to ban them from ever doing business with our association again.  Lastly, the units in the building are owned by investors, Realtors, property managers and others who would have the ability to recommend Gorsuch for many other plumbing jobs.  Instead I will recommend everyone to avoid them; especially on big jobs at condos, apartment buildings etc.  Their motto is Putting pipes in their place since 1939  It wouldn't surprise me if some of those jobs are still waiting for those pipes!

Our HOA hired them to find the source of the leak and repair the leak in our subterranean garage.  Under the leak, is 3 different units on 3 floors.

First they checked the unit on the first floor and suspects that they have a leaking toilet but does nothing about it.  Then the plumber had to come back two other days to check the units on the 2nd and 3rd floor.  After waiting multiple weeks to check the units on floor 2 and 3, they determined that those units are not even flowing through the same pipe where the leak is.  Their conclusion is that the leak is coming from the first floor unit, and the owner is responsible for fixing the leak, not them.  They did not go back to the first floor unit and fix the leak, and we were billed $550 for their services to check the units, even though they had the approval to repair the leak.

This type of thing has happened multiple times with them, and we end up calling them multiple times just to tell us what we already knew.

I would not recommend this company.  If you can reach out to other plumbers, please do so.

I've used Gorsuch Plumbing several times.  Knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and courteous plumbers.  Today Brent and Roland came to my assistance regarding kitchen and bath plumbing issues.  As is typical sometimes, I began to recall miscellaneous plumbing issues which were not as urgent, yet required attention.  Brent and Roland were happy to assist and didn't hesitate to accommodate each additional request.  I've read some of the reviews that have indicated premium or unfair charges.  I've found their rates comparable, but more importantly, they've always resolved my issues and in the process taught me techniques to help myself prior to giving them or any plumber a call.  I've actually used the knowledge that they've passed to me on a few occasions.  This service call was no different and again I learned quite a bit.  Brent also mentioned that should I have an issue with my kitchen sink in the future to please mention that he assisted me, has knowledge of the past job, and, based on the extensive work done today, would be able to accommodate troubleshooting at no cost.  Very thankful for the honest and great service.

The unit I am renting had a giant leak in the kitchen ceiling from the upstairs shower.  The entire shower unit, old pipes, portion of the kitchen ceiling and kitchen flooring needed to be replaced.  The employees from Gorsuch took care of everything.  The shower and flooring came out beautifully.  My roommates and I dealt with Brent the most.  He was always professional and very personable.  He was always in contact to let us know when he would be arriving and kept us up to date.  Eric was also very friendly and professional.  Those guys worked their tails off, in the heat, in order to get the job completed.  Plus, they always cleaned up after themselves even if they were returning the next day.  Matthew was also a pleasure to deal with.  He would pop in to check on the job and always showed care and concern.  Needless to say, I am happy that my landlord chose Gorsuch as our go to plumbing company!

We contacted Gorsuch and they sent Daniel who found the leak and did the repair...a leak you cannot see as its under the flooring. As stressful as it was for me I'm very pleased with the service from Gorsuch and would call them again if I needed anything else. They came ontime and did not leave until the issue was resolved. They are local for me in Long Beach/Signal Hill area. Great job Daniel and team
