Had a toilet that wouldn't flush, I plunged it for hours and decided to call alpine, within 5 minutes of them getting to my home and only 35 minutes after calling them they had my toilet flushing. Very fair pricing and great customer service! Will be calling them again for my future plumbing issues. Thanks Alpine

. After I posted the rating for Jose's landscaping business.
There was a problem with miscommunication. He promptly return my phone call came out today .
He gave me an affordable estimate and did the lawn 2 hours later! That's what I call Five Star service. Jose is very professional really concerned about his business and strives for excellence.

The quick and fast, Ixtapa Construction is the best general contracting company I've had the pleasure to work with (I've worked with 3-4 over the last decade).  I completely gutted a 4 bedroom, 2..5 bath, 2100 sq. ft. home we  just purchased and Jay did it while handling timing pressure from my then 7-month-pregnant wife who was hesitant to even make the purchase, knowing the work it needed.

As the founder/President, Jay is a consummate professional (a rarity in this business), and a true craftsman.  His Partner, Alex is also great to work with and keeps things organized and coordinated with all the moving pieces of a construction project.  Most important to me is that Jay and his team takes pride and ownership in their work.  Jay treated our construction project as if it was his own home.  He takes the time to make sure things are done right, the first time.  Moving forward, I'll always reach out to Jay first about my remodeling and home improvement needs before going out and interviewing/reviewing other contractors.  Through my remodel, I'm fortunate enough to connect with someone who I've gotten to know and trust as my advisor for home remodeling and repair-related needs.

The longer version: We closed on our home in January of this year (2019).  We knew we were going to completely gut and remodel the home.  We didn't change the exterior (no additions) but all things interior of the home were to be redone.  From all new water pipes to new electrical, new HVAC system, new 2.5 bathrooms and a new kitchen from the ground up including new flooring throughout.  

This is our 2nd remodel of homes we are to live in, so it wasn't a completely new venture for us.  The first remodel, I worked directly with a few tradesmen and oversaw/project managed the job myself.  But this time around, with a newborn on the way and a 3 year old, I didn't have the time so we had to find a good GC that was fair, reasonable and accountable to work with.  In total, we met about a dozen General Contractors (local via Yelp, Craigslist, HomeAdvisors, Houzz, you name it).

I first spoke with Alex by phone and then met with Jay at the house.  Needless to say, he was on-time and professional.  When we were ready to make a decision, we narrowed it down to Ixtapa and another construction company.  I regretfully admit, we went with the other company first.  The reason was that the initial bid was missing a few elements.  I wish I had just went back and asked him to revise before making a decision.  Truthfully, in my conversations with Jay, I had a good feeling.  But we all make mistakes... The other company turned out to be a massive disaster (if you want more info, please reach out to me).

My initial timeline was the beginning of March for the home to be move-in ready.  We started work on January 6th.  By February 6th the house was all gutted, but nothing was being put back together.  We started to get concerned as we were about 22 days out from when the house needed to be move-in ready.  I got the typical contractor runaround and because I needed to be swift, I terminated the agreement.  I had very low tolerance for a bad situation to get worse.

But since our initial meeting last December (2018) Jay stayed in touch with me and he actually followed with me to see how things were going.  
I reached back out to Jay (at this point, under immense timing pressure) to see if he can help.  He was able to get me on the calendar and get started in a week.
Ever since then, the house came together.  And while I made changes to things and added things, he was very accommodating and did what he could to help us out.

Again, incredibly grateful to have met Jay and work with Ixtapa Construction.  No job is too small for them, he's an honest craftsman that has a construction-framing background (so he can build a house from scratch if needed!)  If he can't do something, he'll tell you.  But overall, I'm incredibly happy with his service, professionalism and is the type of person you feel comfortable having around your family (which is also very important).  And his team of craftsmen are great to work with too.

His pricing is fair, but through my own experience, you get what you pay for in this industry.  Often times, you get low bids so they can come in and start the work, only to not finish or worse, cause damages.  Talk to Alex/Jay, they'll work with you.

Kris came out and did a leak detection for us when we found out we had a leak and didn't know where it was coming from. He was extremely professional and and knowledgeable. His pricing is fair and his customer service is great ! Highly recommend!

I had to install a new washer but the hot watervalve was broken. They were the first one to respond when I requested a quote on Yelp. They came the same day, unfortunately couldn't do it on the same day because of the valve type, but they were able to come the next day and got it fixed. They were professional, informative and very reasonably priced. I plan to ask them for any plumbing work I may need in the future.

Called them for a complex fix, the technician performed, but there were some discrepancy on the fees due the complexity of the job...the manager was able to take care of it the very next day.

Will definitely use them again.

We are very happy with the work done by Graham Plumbing and Drain Cleaning. This is the first time we have used them and Julio was very helpful. The communication with the office was smooth, and Julio arrived on time and was very pleasant to work with. If there is an occasion to use them again, I certainly will.

I found Western Heating and Air on Yelp and asked them to come and look at a newly installed unit that didn't seem to be running correctly.  They came the same day and diagnosed what was wrong.  They came back within 5 days and completed what we needed done timely, cleanly professionally.  I would highly recommend Rick and his team.

This is a very overdue review. Consider it a 3 month review
My house is 70 years old and had original galvanised water pipes and cast iron drain pipes. It was an absolute nightmare. In the 3 years we've owned the place I've have plumbers out 6 times to unclog drains with the 7th resulting in the drain under my kitchen cracking and dripping out into the crawl space until a horrible stench came from beneath the house from festering water.

This was my breaking point and I decided (far too late) I needed a full repipe.
I had 4 plumbers come out and bid. Jesse was the first to arrive and quote, while he wasn't necessarily the cheapest he was by far the most keen to do the project, didn't bid an unrealistic price and was absolutely reassuring to talk to.

He was promptly out with his dad and crew to begin work. These guys work 5 days straight and the work was absolutely outstanding. They dug a huge trench down to the sewer to remove all the old clay pipe with modern ABS.  This was a day of heavy labor in hot weather too.

They cut out and removed all the old crummy pipe work and installed a whole house filter I purchased in advance from Amazon. Since this work was done. Out drains are amazing, our water pressure is outstanding and the filter is scraping a lot of the hard salts out of the tap water that it no longer leaves residue or odour

I called Chris  to fix my drains in my  bathroom.  He is friendly and honest with the work and price.  He came at the time he said and started working right away.

I wanted to update my review because we have needed plumbing help for other issues and Mike's Plumbing has consistently been our go to company. Always professional and completely reliable.

Since moving into my new rental back in January, I've had to use Harry's twice. Both times, it was quick to get service, and I was completely happy with the results. Them having to come back was nothing they did or did not do, it's my old 1924 houses' plumbing that's the problem.

Last time they were here to snake my main line, they even snaked the bathtub again for no charge, as it was under warranty.

There is no service call charge unless they fix the problem. Great service and as far as I know, fair prices.

Will definitely use them again.

I used them four times - replace a shower cartridge, replace draining pipes under 2 sinks with new stopper, replace a toilet, and unclogged a garbage disposal.  Good and clean service.  Would use them again for future needs.

Ok, I'm updating my review because the owner finally called me back after 4 months. He apologized, and came over with one of his best plumbers.  We allocated the costs and I agreed to pay only for the work that they did.  I need not pay for the toilet leak that they did not fix.

This company charged my credit card even though they did not fix the toilet leak in my rental condo. I specifically asked for a detailed invoice when I hired them, which they promised to give me, but they never did and they just charged my credit card for $520! (Lesson learned - never give your credit card number to this company over the phone if they have not done the work, in fact, don't even hire this company. I made the mistake of hiring this company because our HOA uses them by default.) They told me they did 3 things (one of which was the toilet leak which their plumber NEVER fixed!). I called them to complain and they promised to send a more experienced plumber, but they sent back the same kid who made it even worse. He just made a mess of the toilet (did not put it back) the following day and left it like that and proceeded to inform me that I would have to pay ANOTHER $383 to $472 to install a new toilet! Meanwhile, they did NOT tell me that they already charged my card for $520 (note that the kid did NOT fix the toilet leak and they did NOT even send me any invoice!) I called them again, and they prepared an invoice after the fact (after 34 days!) and it was for a lump sum amount of $520, when they specifically promised to send me a detailed invoice and cost allocation of the 3 things their plumber allegedly did (toilet leak, sink, shower handle). Meanwhile, I have to fill out this long form sent to me by my credit card company regarding my dispute. I informed my credit card company that I am not disputing the sink repair. Unfortunately, since I didn't get an allocation, i didn't know how much was charged to the toilet and shower handle repairs (that were not fixed). I My co-worker's plumber installed a new toilet for half the price that this kid quoted me! In the mean time, I'm still down by $520 for the labor on the toilet leak and shower handle that this kid did not even fix.

First off this place is OLD school. It's no big Box store so don't expect that. I went in looking for a part for my delta faucet that i had bought at homedepot that was my first mistake. So my wife and i went to a couple of places to look for parts. We went to the place where we got the faucet no help at all there. So from there we were sent to Don miller up the street. There they guys at the counter were no help either until the employee that was helping us, Carlos called Jose out help us. At first we thought we were just going to have to buy a new faucet after he explained the diferance between homedepot and wholesalers faucet products. My wife was extreamley frustrated by now we didnt have a couple hundred dollars to buy another product. Jose seeing our desperation said look i can see you guys are having a really hard time with this and i have a few minutes before i go to lunch so im gona go the extra mile for you guys, but lunch is going to be on you
So he took our info wich we thought was weird why do you need my name and address. He went back to his desk and got on the phone about 15min later he came back and said okay rig your faucet for a week so that you can use it and in about a week you should see a new faucet in the mail at no charge, I got them to send you a new one and a wholesalers model not a retail product as a warranty.
We were extatic why doesnt anybody do this kind of service anymore how hard was that to take the time for people, we are so greatfull for the service THANK YOU JOSE AND DON MILLER. So we tried to buy him lunch but he refused he said he was just kidding. 1 1/2 weeks later we got our new faucet better product than the homedepot junk we had gotten almost all the parts were metal not plastic. Thank you again saved us hundreads especially during these hard times. If you guys ever need plumbing help don miller is the place jose is the man to see and the other big loud guy was also really really helpfull with answering our old shower faucet questions i think his name was Edwin once again thank you guys again if we ever need anything you will be the first place we go and where we send our freinds
