Leave it to the professionals!  Recently started doing some upgrades to my home.  In our bathroom, there is a fan and light controlled by one switch and we wanted them separated out so we didn't always have to have the fan running when we turned on the light.  Seemed simple enough; buy the switch, install and... poof!  No light, no fan and even no power to some of the outlets.  Okay, took another look at the wiring and tried it again.  Nothing!

I'm definitely not the type of person who gives up on things, but on the other hand, some things are just better left to the professionals.  I began calling local electricians and mostly what I heard was our next appointment is in two weeks...  I called Ocean Electric and left a message.  Within a few minutes I got a text from John letting me know to call whenever I had a chance.  I called him right back and explained what happened.  Unlike all the others who told me it was essentially impossible to get someone the same day let alone the same week, John told me he was almost finished with another job and would be out to my home in about an hour!  I thought this must be too good to believe but sure enough, John and his work partner showed up and went right to work.

They are both very professional and within a minute or two they had diagnosed the problem.  Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't wired for a dual switch.  They offered to put the old switch back and that would be the end of it or if I was okay with it, they would drill a few holes, run some additional wire and make it work with the two switch.  I really wanted the dual switch but it was going to require drilling possibly up to five holes.  Again, I really wanted the dual switch so I told John to go ahead.  I was able to return to my work while they went ahead with the repairs.  In all, I think it might have taken them an hour and it when it was all over, the dual switch was working perfectly!  

But not only that, through John's expertise, he managed to only drill one hole to run the new wire.  But to be honest, I don't know if it really would have mattered had he drilled more holes.  They are absolute professionals and did an amazing patch job of the hole they made and cleaned up entirely after they were finished.  I've had other electrical work performed where they had to cut dry wall and those people did NOT do any type of patch work or repair of the dry wall.  John doesn't just throw up a patch; he really does an amazing job that almost looks like nothing at all was done to the wall!  

I feel VERY fortunate to have come across John and without question, for ANY electrical work I ever need done, he will be the first person I will call.  He and his work partner were VERY professional and friendly.  They are very knowledgeable, thorough and quick.  If you are EVER in need of an electrician, I really can't recommend them enough.  Don't even call anyone else for a quote.  Just go straight to John and you won't be disappointed.  Thanks again John for helping me out today and responding so quickly!

We had 6 random jobs around our home that we had been putting off for weeks... Okay, months...Okay, years. Kelley was professional, punctual, efficient, and reasonably priced. She was able to repair a couple doors, hang a mirror, install a curtain rod, do some caulking and repair a ceiling fan light in about 2 hours. What a relief to have those tasks done and know that Kelley is a phone call away! Highly recommend.

Jay provided a comprehensive written estimate which he agreed was a firm price for the agreed upon work. He worked all day long until all the rough-in work was complete, and then he returned to complete the work after the other contractors were done, as requested. Again, he stayed until he finished all the agreed upon work. He helped us plan to better utilize the existing power available at the power panel and set up the wiring so we could have options later if we wanted to change the type of lighting we installed (LED). He has great ideas on where we might want extra outlets, etc. I would highly recommend him for any electrical work. He is super reliable, knowledgeable, and was committed to finishing the work when he said he would.

We cannot say enough about Carlos and his team; look no furhter!  We recently remodeled our downstairs and part of the upstairs home and that includes finding cost-effective and reliable lighting professionals.  We called a few groups to get bids, but not all showed up or followed-up with a bid.  Right Way Lighting from the beginning was reliable, honest, and cost-effective.  Carlos and his crew came in and installed electrical to increase the capacity for our new appliances, recessed lighting throughout, and switches. They were organized and clean.  We have other projects planned in the next few months and will have them back.  Right Way Lighting was a great choice, hands down!

I highly recommend Alex for any electrical work you may need. After my husband and I bought a house last year in October, we contacted Alex for work we needed done. I had an electrical issue that needed immediate attention. I called around to several places and Brock called me back within minutes after I left a message.

I told him what was going on and he immediately knew what the problem was and how to resolve it.  He was also able to fit me into their schedule, even on such short notice.

Lou was at my place within the hour and took care of the issue for me. BUT, not only did he address the problem I called about, he also asked questions about other things that could've caused the breaker to shut off and didn't leave until he was satisfied that everything was good to go and I didn't have anything to worry about.

I would definitely recommend La Costa Electrical and they will certainly be my go to whenever I need electrical work done.

I called Laurence from the Encinitas Electricians to set an appointment to fix my GFI outlet under my sink that operates my garbage disposal. Laurence ended up trouble shooting the issue and was able to fix it without even coming out. He didn't charge me and I have to say it is one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor in years. Laurence thank you for being so honest. I highly recommend this company and wish more were like Encinitas Electricians!

I tried to install and new hanging lamp and did something wrong. Basically I fried the switch because I connected the wrong wire to the incorrect attachment. We had no idea what the problem was , so called George. He was great, cam over fixed everything in less than an hour and hang up the new chandelier.  Great service, knowledgeable and affordable. If I have any electrical issues in the future, I will 100% use them again.

I had Richard update my electrical panel and he did a great job to move, update and reconnect my electrical panel that was required for my new solar panels.
