I wanted a whole home standby generator installed and called Penco and Paul owner answered right away, always a good sign!

His manager Justin came out to give me an estimate that day and I had my generator installed 2 days later.

I have worked with many different contractors over the years and even played general contractor on my own home.  They are one of the best contractors I have ever worked with.  3 great guys work as a team to get the job done within a day. Punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and they clean up everything when they're done.

So glad I found them through Generac's website!

This company is amazing! They were able to scheduled an appointment within 3 days. I had a badly dog damaged wall and needed some expertise in dog proofing. The owner and employees were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My wall and dog proofed apartment is beautiful looking. Also, they are awesome in customizing requests. This is the BEST handyman service I have found!!!!!

This past winter, our pipes froze so we had to cut a hole in the wall in order to access the pipes. Months went by and we kept putting off getting the hole patched. The Evanston Moms FB page had recommended Fixer so I reached out and they were able to respond quickly and with a competitive quote. They did a great job patching the hole, were very quick and quiet, offered to take off his shoes and wore a mask, and at the end of the day, the guy pointed out my walkway had both a dead bird and a dead mouse (eww) which he offered to dispose of if I could get him a bag. I told him I would take care of it but I really appreciated his kind offer and going that extra step to do something completely unrelated. The best part? I referred my sister to their services and I got a credit! I'll definitely be reaching out to them for future jobs.

I was recommended to Duplex for my home electrical needs by a long-time friend who is an industrial electrician as the company my friend uses for his home needs. Greg and Steve at Duplex where terrific and fixed my complicated electrical issues in my old home.  I was impressed with their practical approach, as they explained what was needed for life safety and what was an optional fix if I wanted to save money.  They truly understand their craft and put customers first.  They are also extremely reliable with scheduling, which can be rare in the repair and maintenance industry. Art from AZ Electrical came to my home to replace a hallway light, a porch light, change out a broken switch, as well as remove a broken lamppost in my back yard. Art was quick to respond to my request, and we set up an appointment for him to come to my home to view the work to be done and to give me a cost estimate. His pricing was fair, and he was awarded the job, which took place only a few days later. Art was professional and very knowledgeable in his craft. He was proficient and was meticulous in making sure the job was done correctly, exceeding my expectations.  For all of my future electrical needs, I will be calling AZ Electrical.

These guys are very nice to work with, they are professional and detailed. We pulled a permit for our basement finishing and the boss shows up to meet with the inspector to go through everything, and we passed inspection first time. It's great to know they'll be there when you need them to interact with city officials so all goes smoothly. They ask a lot of questions to make sure the overall project meets expectations and everyone is happy

Purchased a new house and had a few electrical items to address.  Found Prolite Electric on Yelp and felt good about their reviews.  After leaving a message, Jack called me back that day.  Went over his pricing and I felt he was very reasonable so I made an appointment.   He sent his technician Matt over to fix the items and I was very pleased with Matt's service.  He was on time and very professional.  I'm looking forward to using them in the future.

Update 1/3/2017.  Again Matt does another great job.  Had a laundry list of items to get done and  Matt's work was perfect.  Jack is very affordable and this will always be the company that does my electrical work.

We had a great experience with OneStop. From call to service completion was 3 days for a non-emergency water heater replacement. They were profesional land gave us great tips. We really appreciated their work!

Needed about five overhead lights replaced, some with bad wiring and others with very old fixtures. Jeff came out to our home, resolved some of my 'creative workarounds', offered suggestions, spotted some bad wiring, addressed said problem, and gave me an estimate for other wish list work.

Overall, Jeff was very easy to work with and I'd have no problem recommending him for this type of work.

Charles provided a much needed estimate for a home that we are under contract on in the Beverly neighborhood. He was beyond thorough in his review of the home and the estimate he provided. We were extremely appreciative of his honest opinion and look forward to working with him if this deal closes!

Had some smart switches that needed to be installed that were a bit above my (admittedly minimal) expertise. David responded with a very reasonable quote right away - and showed up on time when he said he was going to a couple days later. He was professional and courteous - I would highly recommend for any household electrical needs!

Angel is the man! I called him around 2:30PM to have 4 light fixtures replaced in the stairwells of my house (high ceilings). I explained to him the urgency of having these replaced and he told me he could be there by 5:30 later that day. He actually showed up an hour early (4:30PM) and was done within 3 hours.

I highly recommend Angel, will be calling him back for future projects.

Matt and Goldstream are everything that you could want in a contractor. From the first interaction, Matt made the whole experience easy. He scheduled a quote over text message, showed up on time, and offered a fair price. When he came to do the actual work (installation of recessed lights), he was meticulous and clean. He also made several excellent recommendations on how we could utilize wireless technology to avoid the need for opening up drywall (saving us money that we would have needed to otherwise spend on drywall repairs). We'll definitely be using Matt for any electrical needs in the future.

Highly recommend! Mike came by within an hour of me connecting with him to install an outlet for my EV. He explained the process and walked me through it step by step just so I'm aware. I was so impressed, I asked him to work on more electrical stuff around our condo and he's coming back to do those jobs.

They were fantastic from start to finish. Professional demeanor, communicated with us very well throughout. They initially quoted us on the job based on my explanation and a picture but then we soon realized after they got to the job this would not work because of a brick pillar that would have been very difficult to fish wire through. They assessed the situation and gave me different options and were very fair on the price.  Cleaned up afterwards and were willing to answer all of my questions.  Thanks again to Edwin and Brian. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We've used A to Z for two different projects on our home, one where they had to come in and fix work that was previously done wrong by someone else.
