Best Pool Repair in Phoenix AZ

IMS Phoenix Deck & Railing Contractor
This company was excellent to work with. They responded quickly, communicated frequently throughout the process, very easy to get a hold of. We even got the gate installed a few days earlier than estimated. The quote matched the final price, and the gate is beautiful! Hope to work with this company again in the future. If you are looking for fair priced, beautiful custom gates/fences this is the place to go!

Pool Remodeling Brothers Deck & Railing Contractor
Someone on Nextdoor recommend Pool Remodeling Brothers. Based on their recommendation I reached out to Jose for an estimate. They were responsive and got our pool fixed within a week of contacting them. We had some cracks in our pebble in the steps and we couldn't get anyone to call us back or do the job because it wasn't worth their time for what they would make on the job. Because they took on our little job we will be using them for our pool remodel in 2-3 years because our pebble is old and wearing out.

Deck Services Deck & Railing Contractor
We made arrangements during the summer to have the deck redone November. David provided good pricing and the work was completed by 2 guys over 5 days. Workmanship is excellent. David with some negotiation added some small details that helped finish the deck the way it should be. Some small issues with the workmen using my tools and bucket in the backyard and not cleaning them afterwards.

I recommend Deck Services for excellent pricing and workmanship.

Altra Cool Deck Deck & Railing Contractor
Needed our pool cool deck replaced, as it had been many years since it was last taken care of - Lots of bare spots & cracks, and chips on the edge going into the pool. This wasn't an easy job - I sent out for 5 quotes. 1 place said they didn't do cool deck, the other place quoted me way too much or things I wasn't even looking for, and a few didn't respond. I then contacted Altra by sending an email on a Saturday morning (Yes on a Saturday morning), only to have Joyce call me back within a short time, setting up and appointment to have someone come out. Altra sent someone out to the house, checked everything out, measured the area, and brought up a few points about resurfacing, and answered all my questions. They promptly sent me out a quote via email, that was right inline with what we wanted & needed. They scheduled our project, and even called us to see if we would be available to have the guys start the project a week earlier. The crew showed up on the day they were scheduled, early, and proceeded to work away. The next day they showed up, the guys were early, and again, worked until the project was complete. They took precautions, like double side taping the inside of the pool with plastic, covering items with masking paper and plastic - You could tell they took great pride in their work. When everything was finished, it looked better than I had imagines. It exceeded my expectations - These guys on the crew know their business, and worked hard! Very happy we went with Altra due to the pricing, communication, and the quality of the work. Will definitely refer them to others! Thank you Altra!

Cool Blue Pool Service Deck & Railing Contractor
Shane, the owner, was fabulous to work with. He arrived on time, scheduled us right away and his workers were fabulous. They resurfaced old, painted pool decking and did an amazing job. We are going to use him again to drain the water and acid wash it now because we just moved in and have no idea how old the water is. I would highly recommend him.

Desert Art Pools Deck & Railing Contractor
When we knew we were going to build a pool, we got 4 quotes (wanted more but some company's didn't call us back....). Randy returned my call, agreed to meet at the house to give me a quote. He was the only one who called the day of the appointment to confirm (a professional detail nobody else performed). In honesty, his was the most expensive quote...yet....he also seemed the most professional. His contract is all inclusive: if a price goes up, you don't pay the increase. Once the contract is signed that is all you pay. From the time we signed our contract to the time the equipment was purchased the price went up $7K - we didn't pay another penny!

The quality of the work is terrific. The communication is the best. Randy (the owner) or Matt (Randy's assistant) show up to the site any time there's a sub contractor. I think the thing that really separates Desert Art Pools from other pool builders is that they build every pool as though they are building it for family!

While the pool isn't finished....we are days (maybe weeks) ahead of schedule. Let me ask you this, who do you know that is any days ahead of schedule in this post covid Summer of 2021? Neighbor across the street is months behind (he went with a company that didn't even call us back). Same neighbor has been uncharged thousands of dollars for unexpected work. With Desert Arts, if there's an unexpected expense....Desert Arts has it included -- no surprise contracting!

If you want a team that shows up, does the job, tries to do the job as quickly as possible, treats you like you are family and not just a check....I really do suggest you go with Desert Arts.

We will continue to use them post pool build as our pool service people.

New Look Kool Deck and More Deck & Railing Contractor
All the positive reviews on this company are true, I talked to several companies then decided on New Look to replace our old Kool Deck and add an Epoxy floor covering to our garage.  Dave was very honest and up-front from day one. We went over costs, he set a date and Manny and Angel came out at the exact time that was set. They worked for 4 days (110 degree weather) and did a great job on both the deck and the garage. They were at the house on time every day and did a great clean-up when done. Having work done at your home is usually stressful, they made it easy! Best team I have ever worked with!

Global Elite Builders Deck & Railing Contractor
I have known Keith for years...found them on a site years back and asked if they could help my old boss paint some rooms in our office.  They did great!  Later, I hired them to paint some rooms in my home and install a super cool rock mailbox as my old one was falling apart.  They also painted my old bosses exterior of his home, did lots of electrical, installed some pigeon proof material, and he was super happy with them.  The company is super fast at communicating, estimates, and just  all around great people.  Ask for Keith...he will help get any/all projects taken care of. Amazing company folks...don't look anywhere else!!!

Copper Sky Concrete Deck & Railing Contractor
Our pool deck just got done! Daniel came by to do a final walk thru so it's still brand new but so far, we love it! Daniel was very professional! Really nice guy and easy to work with. Very reliable and seems extremely trustworthy. It's always easy to do business with someone you like! He came out several times to give us suggestions/estimates since we were throwing around a few different options for design. Not once did he act like it was a waste of his time and we all know that this economy right now is thriving so it's not like he didn't have other jobs. He would text us and keep us in the loop on when his crew was coming out and what they were going to be doing that day. Communication and keeping your word  is so appreciated and rarely done these days! Can't wait to have a party and show off our new patio and deck! Thank you Copper Sky Concrete! Highly recommend this company!

Blue Dot Pools, LLC Deck & Railing Contractor
In 2012 I bought a house on a short sale that had an old in-ground pool.  When I say old, I'm talking about 30 years or so.  On top of that, the previous owners didn't take the best care of it.  So basically I had a very cosmetically outdated pool with plaster that was eroding away and very rough.

I lived with it for a while, and in December of 2015, I decided it was time to fix it up and add some new features.  Although this was a residential renovation/remodel, it was a big job.  I was doing a resurface along with new waterline tile and cap tile, which is pretty normal.  I was also going to do away with the never-functioning-properly in-floor cleaning system and having four standard returns plumbed in.  In addition, I wanted to add a water feature and a baja shelf.

I researched online a bit, did the best I could at figuring what the cost should be based on work others had done,  and narrowed it down to four builders.  I contacted them and set up appointments to meet with each of them to get estimates.  The first builder never bothered to show up for the appointment, and didn't bother to call either.  When I called, they were pretty dismissive about it, so I decided if I can't get them out when they're trying to make a sale, I had doubts they'd be any good to work with once they had my money.

Next up was Blue Dot Pools.  James, the owner, was the person who came out to do the estimate.  I don't know what it was...it's not something I could put my finger on, but he was instantly likable.  There was no sales pitch,  no memorized spiel to go through.  He simply introduced himself and told me about himself and his company.  Afterward, he went around and took his measurements and sat with me to go over what I wanted.  One thing I remember is a sentence he said to me during our first meeting, This is your pool.  He would say that any time I would ask about having something done.  Don't worry about what I think or what I want...this is your pool.  Considering how many builders out there are more concerned about doing things their way and pushing products/services on you that they want to sell, this was really refreshing.

The next day James emailed me an itemized estimate along with a hand-drawn design for the wall/water feature we talked about (he doesn't do the fancy 3D computer design stuff).  The pricing came back right around what I expected (actually, a little lower), so there were no issues there.

At this point I did something I wouldn't really recommend - I called and cancelled my other appointments.  I figured I was just offered a good price by a builder I was very comfortable with, so I rolled the dice with James and Blue Dot Pools.  Boy, am I glad I did.

Blue Dot Pools isn't one of the huge companies, and he uses sub-contractors as opposed to having an in-house crew for all of the different facets of the job.  Let me also tell you that every single sub-contractor, actually every single person, that came out to work on this project was friendly, courteous, and respectful of my property.  This is important because this wasn't a new build, it was a remodel of an existing pool in a yard that already had desert landscaping.  I'll also tell you that the work completed from every crew that came out, from chip-out to tile, to plumbing/electrical, and finish application was absolutely outstanding.  Nothing needed to be fixed or re-done throughout this whole process.

James was there every step of the way, checking to make sure people showed up on time and then inspecting work after it was completed.  He was also in constant communication with me, via text, phone, and email to answer any questions I had.  This is the owner, mind you.  I really can't say enough about Blue Dot Pools and James' customer service.  Simply second-to-none.
James was very patient with me as I waffled on some of my decisions, and never once got frustrated with me, even when I did some upgrades at the last-minute.  He just kept saying, This is your pool.

When all was said and done, my old outdated pool had been turned into a gorgeous little oasis.  This is the kind of pool you expect to see at a nice hotel, only smaller.  This has just been a great experience from start to finish.

One final thing I'd like to add...James never really treated this like another job.  He was actually enthusiastic about it and was almost as excited as I was to see the finished product.  He took pictures constantly and was always going on about how nice this was going to be when it was done.  He was right.  It exceeded my expectations, as did he.  This is a man who really enjoys and takes pride in what he does.  He should be proud of himself and his company.  I give James and Blue Dot Pools my highest recommendation if you are in the market for a new pool, remodel, renovation, or pool service.  Absolutely second-to-none.

JYK construction Company Deck & Railing Contractor
Jesus from JYK Construction did the job of removing loose, water damaged stucco from the street side of my garden wall, redid the stucco and repainted.
He was easy to communicate with in English, came promptly to view the job and gave me the estimate within a day. He was easier to work with than other, bigger companies.
Their estimate was reasonable and they offered a warranty so I gave them the job. They came exactly when stated, Jesus and his helper worked hard and did a good job.
I can recommend them. They are a very small company but they do competent work.

L.A. Pools and Landscaping Deck & Railing Contractor
We had turf put in by this company and could not say anything good about them.  They did not respond when called to fix a problem until after we called the owner.  Then when the turf started to fall apart after only a few years, we found out that the so called 15 year warranty is only good for 3 years!  They even revealed that they got some defective turf from China and that it would be covered by the manufacturer.  NOT true at all.  Rusty would not respond after 11 voice mails and emails.  We could have chosen ANY other company and had a better experience than      L.A. Development,          L.A. Lawn,    L.A. Landscape     or what other name they are going by now.  We would have worked with them as far as the labor if they would just replace the defective turf. But they chose to ignore and take the money and run.  I hope others really check out this company and their reviews before handing over hard earned money to someone who will not honor the workmanship and the warranty provided.  We could not be more unhappy with their product, customer service or attention to detail and response.

Shasta Pool Repair Deck & Railing Contractor
I had my Shasta Pool built in 2015. The popups have a lifetime warranty. The tool to remove the popups was made of cheap plastic and broke before it got even one head out. My pool guy's metal tool got 4 out before busting.

I live an hour away from Shasta Parts department. Nevertheless their policy is to only replace broken parts in person.

I spoke with Tory Woodward who is allegedly a warrant manager. In less than a week he forgot about a 20 minute conversation we had and didn't remember the texting chain that included a video and pics. I asked the female that told me story doesn't remember me if story was at work today. She said she just came from his office. I asked her to call him over so I could refresh his memory by showing him the call log and text chain on my phone. She immediately capitulated and gave me the part that was promised.

Although I got what I wanted and I understand they need to conserve profit, they need to keep a few things in mind. My pool build was just shy of $50,000. Nickel & diming me to death is only going to cause bad feelings.

They were bad enough for me to write this up and warn people to NOT use Shasta Pools. Use anybody else and I recommend you ensure non-proprietary parts be used. Shasta screws their customers with only using proprietary parts.

Sonoran Waters Custom Pool & Spa Deck & Railing Contractor
I purchased my home November 2021 and Sonoran newly remodeled/resurfaced the pool before I purchased it. Within a month of owning the home a pool leak was discovered coming from the pool light, and skimmer throat seal. I contacted Sonoran Water Custom Pools and Spa and was told because I am a new owner that the warranty is not transferrable. I thought to myself okay that's weird that they don't stand behind their service. So I went ahead and spent over $1000 to drain the pool and fix the leaks. Additionally it was recommended that I fix the foundation bellow my pool pump because the pump was placed over unstable ground.
Now 5 months later another water leak is discovered. This time the tile is found to be cracked leading to the pool steps. Why is the pool that is newly resurfaced already having cracks in the tile and pebble tec? Both my leak detection professional and pool maintenance person were surprised that this is happening so soon after the pool was resurfaced. The only logical answer as to why is that the pool company didn't fix all the problems under and around the pool before it was resurfaced.
I have reached out the Sonoran about these problems and haven't received a call back. If they are a reputable pool company they should care about the quality of their work and stand behind their services. I am afraid what other leaks and cracks this pool will have in the future because in less than 6 months I have had 3 sources of leaks. I do not recommend anyone uses this company until they start taking responsability for the services they provide.
