A+ work on my condo! We had some wiring issues and our lights in our kitchen would never turn on fully. We reached out to AC/DC and they responded in a timely manner and were also very friendly. You can tell they are trying to save you money, while fixing the issues and aren't like companies that are just looking for a quick buck. They fixed our kitchen wiring and now I can see while I'm cooking again! They also looked at a few things in the bathroom while they were here and were looking forward to having them come back. Thanks so much!!!

These guys are the best. First - they were super responsive. Answered the call on a Tuesday evening and were here on Wednesday morning. Second - they were very professional in terms of Covid safety (wore masks, sanitized hands, etc). And finally, they did a great job and their charge was reasonable.

I will hire them again and highly recommend you do too!

Marcus and his crew are terrific.  The work they have done for my place is outstanding and more importantly, they are professional, accommodating and fairly priced.  After speaking with several other electrical contractors regarding certain work that needed to be done to a building recently purchased in the city, I was confident T&D would provide the overall solution to what needed to be accomplished.  It is very rare to find companies such as this these days.  Very happy with my decision and more importantly, with the work that was completed.

I used Highlights about a year ago to install a light fixture in my apartment, and everything went perfectly (please read my previous review)! Now a condo owner, I needed to have a ceiling light installed as well as have a new outlet added in my laundry closet.

Boz stopped by to perform the estimate, and he was very straightforward, providing both a plan A (which involved using existing conduit for the new outlet) and a plan B (running new conduit up to the ceiling and to the breaker box). The light installation was rather straightforward.

When the time came to move ahead with the project, I had a few challenges scheduling that I did not encounter previously. I chalked this up to the current high demand for tradespeople and also to a family emergency with my main contact at Highlights. Once scheduled, Boz returned with Ben and an assistant, who ran conduit for the light fixture and replaced the wall box to a 2-gang box. Ben was also able to use existing conduit to run the laundry outlet wiring, a big positive!

Highlights was willing to work with me on a second visit by Ben, since my light fixture did not arrive by the time of the first visit. Ben and an assistant came back out to install the fixture once it arrived, and did a great job.

I had a few minor quibbles this time around, with scheduling (as mentioned) and with the work. For example, the laundry outlet was to be put on a new breaker, but it was wired to an existing (but essentially unused) breaker instead. Functionally it all works the same, but there was a minor misunderstanding somewhere along the way.

All in all, I'm quite happy with the work and I'll use Highlights again in the future!

Noel came recommended through a colleague that couldn't start our job. Noel and his team did a great job installing new light fixtures ordered online and removing old fixtures and outdated ceiling fans. All of my communications with him were over the phone and text messages since we were unable to be there in person. We live in an uptown co-op with a very strict contractor policy which Noel was able to coordinate and navigate with. I would recommend this company and use them again for future electrician needs.

I hired Advance Electric to run underground electric out to the detached garage in the new house we just bought.  The previous owner built a new garage but they never installed electric.  They did a great job. Permit, trench, ran the conduit, installed interior lights, workshop light and various outlets for the garage door opener, tools, etc.  The work was inspected by the city and was immediately approved.  They were prompt, professional and easy to communicate with.  Highly recommended.

Had a great experience with Skyline! Highly recommend. Jeanette is quick to respond and communicates via phone and text (makes things super easy!).  We needed to have a 220 volt installed for an appliance and two plugs repaired. I had reached out almost a year prior for the same issue (we had waited to get the appliance & to have the work done) and she quickly remembered exactly who I was & the background on the project. She honored the original price quoted even though their prices had raised in the past year.

We live in a vintage building so any work behind the walls is complicated & never easy. Both electricians were professional & efficient not to mention patient with all the issues that came up.

Jose & Jesse were professional, responsive, and very helpful! We had a plumbing job and reached out for a quote. They came and provided quotes for 2 different options and then scheduled the service quickly. The work was great, but we had a small issue after that wasn't really their fault & would have been easy for them to brush off (water pressure in a different room was impacted by them turning off our water for the work they did) but they came back the next day and fixed it - now it's actually better than it was before they came. Thanks so much guys!!

I had an interesting project that I needed an electrician's expertise on.  I'm making my garage into a home gym and since it's detached, I would need more heating for the winter.  I wanted to place additional electric space heaters out there - but I didn't have sufficient wiring out there to support it.  Vilano Electric was able to walk me through all of my options and troubleshoot what he would be able to accomplish with me.  He adequately explained everything he was going to do and ensured I understood the work prior to starting.  He gave me an accurate estimate that I thought was fair and he was then able to finish the job in one day. He was also highly cautious about always wearing a mask.  I would highly recommend this company...and as a new homeowner, I will be going back to them with future projects.

Mo came within 24 hours of contacting him to fix a couple of patches of water damaged ceiling. He did a great job repairing the ceiling and was very friendly as well. He even checked out the plumbing work we had recently had done in our bathtub and added a bit of silicone to make sure we definitely wouldn't have more leaks (at no extra charge). I would definitely recommend Mo to others as he is skilled and reasonably priced.

This is the 3rd time we've used them, and as always, we have no complaints.

I was recommended to Duplex for my home electrical needs by a long-time friend who is an industrial electrician as the company my friend uses for his home needs. Greg and Steve at Duplex where terrific and fixed my complicated electrical issues in my old home.  I was impressed with their practical approach, as they explained what was needed for life safety and what was an optional fix if I wanted to save money.  They truly understand their craft and put customers first.  They are also extremely reliable with scheduling, which can be rare in the repair and maintenance industry. I highly recommend Duplex.

Could not say enough great things about Milan at MD Advanced Electric. Hired him to hardwire my pool pump. I kept getting delays in my pool install, and Milan was super flexible. The day he came out to do the work, it was well over 100 degrees with the heat index. Milan got all the work done quickly, and even took the time to show me that all the safety aspects of the install were working.

Would absolutely hire again!

Recently bought a home and our shower stopped working. Some how the shower passed the home inspection. I came to yelp for help in the area. ABI had great reviews so I gave them a try. Billy came out asap and helped me resolve my issue in the very same week. Just had Bob of A-Z Electric perform a bunch of work at our single family house and we are delighted with the results!

We needed a couple of ceiling fans installed, an exterior receptacle, properly wiring of our ring camera, and behind the wall work for our television.

Bob was prompt, professional, and kept me aware of parts of the job that might not turn out how I visualized. He wore a mask and boot covers while working in the house.

With my recent acquisition of Tesla Model 3, I was in a dire need of getting a 220v (50amp) outlet. My circumstances are spectacularly complicated as I live in a condo-building with a common garage, which is probably the most complex of a situation. That said this was no problem for ServiceMax!

I've gotten quotes from 5 contractors and while there are cheaper options, let me tell you - you want to get a professional company that is properly bonded and insured and that is comfortable with obtaining the needed permits to get a job like this completed. ServiceMax checked all of that and more:

- They showed up on time for both the estimate and the actual job.
- Their estimate was delivered the same day they visited me, written out clearly on company's letterhead.
- Once I decided to sign them up, their office manager contacted me for payment options (they accept credit card), provided me with Certificate of Insurance, and a permit, all within 1 business day. No follow-up needed on my end, no begging and pleading, no stress.

They have just installed a solution with a lock, because I park in a common garage shared with other owners. They completed the entire job in 7 hours with 2 technicians working around the clock. They're currently patching up my dry wall and cleaning up. Can I say I LOVE THESE GUYS?!?!

Keith does great work at very competitive prices. We own a vintage condo and every project is a sort of archaeological expedition. He is able to tackle any problem or challenge skillfully and we're very pleased with all three projects he has completed for us. Everything looks great and we recommend him any chance we get.
