Best Wiring Repair in Seattle WA
Recently used Red Line to replace a lot of exterior receptacles and attempt to restore power to an outlet. As other reviewers have said, their responsiveness is great. Igor did a thorough and neat job, and helped me troubleshoot and understand the house's wiring better.

I needed to get a 240v outlet installed ASAP and reached out to Merv Electric. They responded quickly, quoted over the phone and were able to schedule less than 48 hrs out. fair pricing and did excellent work! Will certainly use again.

Requested a quote on Yelp and they were able to send a technician out the same day! Technician John came, super nice and professional.. didn't have the breaker I needed on hand but went out and got it. Job was done within an hour. Will definitely be using Vets for all of our electrician needs!

I didn't end up going with them. This is a review for my communication with the estimator, David Otonicar. He was on time, professional, knowledgeable, and answered our questions while in person. Once he left he was singularly focused on writing up the contract. First email - David: just checking in regarding the count of switches that you would like to bid on replacing. I had told him I didn't want to do this cause the cost. I repeated this and asked a couple clarifying questions. He didn't answer. He just sent me a contract, which had on it another job we said we didn't need. This went back and forth, me asking questions, him responding with a new contract. I wasn't getting the clarification I needed to decide what to include/exclude from the contract. One item I asked about multiple times. 4th and final contract: Kill one live existing baseboard heating conductor, exchange the place of two switches that right next to each other, and kill two live outlets. The quote was over $700. The costs weren't itemized, which I know a lot of businesses like these don't do, but I felt like I was really in the dark.
In short, my guess is their cost is pretty competitive. Maybe on the slightly higher end but since my jobs were so small and for cosmetic reasons alone, I didn't feel like they had the time, patience, or energy to deal with me outside of squeezing as much money out of me as they could. Having worked with many contractors through the years, I don't think this is unusual but it would have been nice to get my questions answered.

These guys did an awesome job for me. Fast, efficient and per the book. Conscientious beyond anything I've ever encountered in a private contractor. I'd recommend them to anybody needing electrical work.

I also had Brian come out and help me with some garage electrical work. He helped me install 220v power, including a new subpanel, and 6 outlets. He did the job very quickly, and did an excellent job. can finally turn on my saws without fear of tripping breakers constantly now, so I'm very happy about that. The price was also very reasonable, less than half of what other electricians quoted.
Brian also took the time to explain how things worked, and gave some suggestions for other improvements I could do on my own.
Also, Stephen was super prompt to reply to my emails -- other electricians weren't even responding to my inquiries, but Stephen was responding as late as 1 or 2am. He also came out on a Sunday. I wouldn't hesitate to use Electric company again.

I have learned over the years that electricity was something best left to the experts, Seth was my first call--and my only call. I had planned to get bids from several electricians, but once I talked to Seth at SMC Electric, I stopped searching. Not only was he prompt, honest, and very courteous, he was also extremely professional. Seth was very upfront with project costs and time, and had everything done well ahead of what was promised. Seth even answered all my questions while he was working. It's really rare to find his level of work ethic these days. Thank you for your help Seth from SMC Electric!

Quote hunting is something that I despise as I always feel that I am being tricked, but at the same time when I feel that the other party is open and honest I will go to them next time without hesitation.
24/7 E&P (I only dealt with E!) both times I reached out to them was quick in sensing a specialist and both specialist were very open and honest about work and pricing.
In one instance a permit was involved and a lot of contractors/companies will say 200 or 250 dollars. Which is bizarre since permits are public knowledge. Indeed, the actual price of the permit is not more than 100 for the type of work I was looking for and 24/7 did not try to hide it (and by hiding - hide the actual cost of hiring them).
Also, word of mouth is a thing and our neighbor independently recommended them.
To which I concur.

We called and wasn't sure with this whole stay at home order if anyone would come out. Steve came out right on time and immediately looked into what our problem was. One of our breakers were not working but actually it was because of an outlet had a loose connection because of myself misusing the outlet and so he took the time to explain to me the reason and how to avoid it. In and out less than an hour and very reasonable. Actually one of the most reasonable than others I called. Would definitely call Steve for future jobs. Thanks Steve!!!

We have used Northstar many times over the last 10 years and they are top notch!!. I have recommended them to everyone I know. They put in an inline whole-house power surge protector, helped us find the right emergency generator and installed the panel. They always go the extra mile. They showed me how to hook up the generator and tested everything out. They also drilled a whole in my concrete foundation outside my garage and put a big O-bolt in so I can lock it down (of course they had everything and anticipated the bolt and the lock!).
When they put in our ceiling lights in the living room, they were meticulous on exactly where they should be placed to line up with the hall lights and insure that it was all balanced and everything was lit properly. They even brought with them the awesome LED lights which we have really love. We didn't have the final artwork over the fire place mantel so they came back when we got the final artwork so they could put the light in the ceiling perfectly to shine over the artwork. We love these guys because they really care and do the right thing! What a great company!

Shawn responded promptly for my request for a quote. He and I arranged a date and time, which he kept his word and came to my house. The fix was simple and he didn't charge him. I am really impressed with his integrity and appreciate his honesty. I would definitely recommend Shawn.

One of the better contractors I've found in this area, and we've worked with a lot. Very competent, courteous, cleans up after himself (so rare) and most importantly, his work actually fixes the issue you hired him for (so many times we've had to re-do work ourselves or hire someone else to do it if we can't after we pay someone here). Only issue, like every other good contractor here, it can be hard to get in touch with him and schedule work to be done. But I think that is just the way it is and if you are lucky enough to find a competent contractor in this region you just have to keep calling.

John is my contractor of the year. I unknowingly had an external outlet wired to and overloading a 20 amp breaker. He created a dedicated breaker in the panel for said outlet and now I am able to operate irrigation in a safe, reliable, up-to-code manner.

I am not easily impressed, but this company is outstanding! I requested bids to install an EV charger from 4 different companies, 1 of whom was a no-show. Brent from Washington Energy was by far the most thorough and professional and gave me complete confidence that they were the right company to hire. Daniel and Cornelius did the install and they were on time, polite, professional, efficient and finished earlier than estimated. They did a great job and the city inspector confirmed that they did an excellent job. I would absolutely hire this company again! The interactions I had with everyone in this company were above and beyond - I'm definitely impressed.

Marv at Solarside Electric is fantastic! Smart, quick, on time (usually early!), knows his stuff, professional, does what he says he will do. Awesome to work with, will recommend them any chance I get and call them for any electrical needs in the future. Great service, great guys! :D

Out of several electricians I reached out to, Mr Electric returned my call promptly and accommodated my request to come out the same day- actually they made it in less than an hour.
Communication was very good. The technician was polite and knowledgeable.
The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that I think I may have been overcharged, based on zip code adjusted installation cost estimators. I guess that promptness has its price, and they waived the diagnostics fee, so I still recommend them.

Hunt's Services: A lesson in deplorable business practice
Summary: Update still getting runaround on refund July 14 2017.
Missed every deadline set by themselves,
Improper information between tech and office to customer,
2-2.5 day job has now reached 5 weeks (still not complete)
Wanted paid before job complete. I was assured the job was ready for inspection so I reluctantly paid. Their work failed building inspection.
Latest update: 6-11-2017 I made arraignments to have Hun'ts services complete my install having to work around their schedule 5 weeks after starting install. They were to come out and move the branch box that caused a failed inspection and add seismic support which caused failed inspection. I had someplace to be at 7pm and made that clear. They arrived at 7:30 am and finally left at 10pm had to cancel my plans. Now system does not work and is making noise. For fear of damage I cannot use the system.
Filling with BBB.
UPDATE: On Monday June 12, 2017 tech arrived and explained the system was improperly wired. Rewired and now system works and finally passed inspection. Started May 8, 2017 Completion June 16, 2017. 6 weeks, failed inspection after guaranteeing work and wired improperly after guaranteeing work.
Now waiting on refund for services that will not be rendered.
