Hello friends, we are still quite busy but finally able to start helping new clients and referrals on a limited basis. We do not estimate repairs but can discuss your task or project on the phone or via Yelp message and email to help see how we can best help you. Northstar' s employees have been part of this community for over 30 years in some cases and offer turn-key electrical and lighting installations and repairs. We take pride in being a local service provider with several licensed electricians on staff to handle all your needs, large or small.

Our team has been around since 1985, helping businesses and clients with all of their electrical and lighting needs, projects and project development as a full service electrical contractor. We still have many original - and long term employees on staff to help you efficiently navigate your project to a successful completion. Our local presence is here to help maintain these systems after the fact.

My family and I moved to the Pacific Northwest over 12 years ago and I am proud to call this beautiful place home. Being a lifelong electrician and prior business owner made me a good fit when the prior owner retired, we took over and started Northstar Electrical LLC to continue to take care of our wonderful long-term employees and clients plus helping out new clients. We are a solutions oriented company with an unparalleled commitment to quality, safety and accountability.

I've had a lot of experience working alongside Northstar Electric at the projects I manage in south Seattle. The electricians are prompt, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. Adam is the professional who handles our bidding and he is a friendly and informative face that knows how valuable both our time can be. The business side of the operation is handled by the big boss man Rob Kingsley and Tim Stidham.
Rob is one of the most positive businessmen I've ever met and his outlook on staffing the very best and keeping them happy has built the most reliable electrical contracting business I've dealt with in 12 years of property management. I strongly recommend calling them, they will have your interests in mind when they show up and they are always informative and able.

Over extended??
I called for an estimate. They explained they weren't taking any new projects and I should call back in 6 months... What!? 6? Yes, six.

I just called and got the message that this company is unable to take new customers, and to try again in six months. It's good that the company is honest and straight forward. So I would like the offer for a referral.

Very honest helpful company. I had a GFI blow out yesterday and we have other wiring related issues in our 3 story house. He listened to all my issues but since they are 2 weeks out he said he thought we needed someone to come out sooner and gave me a recommendation to a competitor.
What better can you say of any contractor than they care more about their customers than a buck? I'll be recommending this company to all my neighbors and friends.
We have used Northstar many times over the last 10 years and they are top notch!!. I have recommended them to everyone I know. They put in an inline whole-house power surge protector, helped us find the right emergency generator and installed the panel. They always go the extra mile. They showed me how to hook up the generator and tested everything out. They also drilled a whole in my concrete foundation outside my garage and put a big O-bolt in so I can lock it down (of course they had everything and anticipated the bolt and the lock!).
When they put in our ceiling lights in the living room, they were meticulous on exactly where they should be placed to line up with the hall lights and insure that it was all balanced and everything was lit properly. They even brought with them the awesome LED lights which we have really love. We didn't have the final artwork over the fire place mantel so they came back when we got the final artwork so they could put the light in the ceiling perfectly to shine over the artwork. We love these guys because they really care and do the right thing! What a great company!
We've always gotten superior help from Northstar, but I'm curious now that the owner Doug is leaving early 2014. Anyone know what's going on with them?
Well now I know. Lead electrician Rob took over and the great work will continue. Thanks Rob -- and Doug.

Needed to have a Electric Car charger installed and reached out to Rob and confirmed an appointment. Apart from being prompt and on time Rob service has been amazing and truly great. I highly recommend Rob and his business, certainly a contact which one needs for all electric work.
Rob and his team have done two jobs for us -- our family room and most recently our dining room -- and the easiest thing to say is they are amazing! From planning through to execution, everything is done with an eye towards a really satisfying outcome for the homeowners. Rob spent a lot of time helping us decide the right lighting to use, was fair and flexible in his estimates, and the work done by the team was super quality. Everything was completed quickly, cleanly, and I felt secure in knowing it was done right. Highly recommended!
I was looking for a good company to be my go-to company for the rental house I own in Seattle. Living in Southern California, I wanted someone that I could trust to fix any issues without price gauging. I've actually never met Rob or his electricians, but I received an unsolicited email from my tenant telling me how nice and professional Josh (One of Northstar's Electricians) was. Rob was upfront with the costs and there were no surprises. I will absolutely call him in the future when needs arise.
North Star Electric is great. Rob is a wonderful guy who takes time to listen and define what your needs are ( outdoor lighting) and makes a careful plan including a detailed account of what the cost would be. The work was done very well by his electricians , they were both careful and respectful, I received a follow up call to make sure the work was done to my satisfaction I highly recommend their services.

These guys are the only electricians I call for our office electrical needs. Our building maintenance manager (Norton Building) endorses them unequivocally and makes tutting noises if you consider calling someone else. Their technicians are courteous and prompt communicators and I've never had any misgivings about the work they've done at all. They even fuss about cleaning up their dust after a job to an almost old-lady-like level.
I am so glad to have found Northstar Electrical. We will definitely be using them for any future electrical work. They came to install four ceiling fans in our home. When other electricians were quoting us four weeks out to stop by for an estimate and installation sometime after that, Northstar gave me a same day estimate and scheduled installation for the very next week. Sander and Sergej, the electricians who installed the fans, were excellent. Courteous, friendly and very hardworking. There were a few hiccups during installation (because of how our house was built and because of how the manufacturer shipped the fans) and Sander and Sergej didn't get angry or frustrated, they just solved the problems as they came up. Our fans were installed quickly and correctly and are working beautifully. Rob, the owner, and Patrick, the Service-Project Engineer, were great to work with as well--knowledgeable, considerate, and responsive. This is a great company. I highly recommend working with this team of professionals.

Rob Kingsley is prompt, professional and friendly. He and Sanders did a great job repairing and replacing fixtures as well as installing new lights. I would recommend Northstar for your electrical needs.
