I came across Veteran Electric through a google search for home standby generator installers several years ago.  My initial interaction with the office staff was a admittedly a bit bumpy.  But, Vince reached out and quickly put my mind at ease.  There was no sales pitch, just an honest conversation and solutions to move forward fairly and efficiently.  

My first transaction with them was for the purchase and installation of a Cummins 20kw generator for my parents' house.  The pricing was more than fair for the professional and clean installation.  I was at ease and comfortable with their guys working on their own without supervision.  They did what they said they were going to do, and the final result exceeded my expectations.  

A few months later, we hired Vince and his team again to install a 2nd generator for my Aunt's house.  This one was a bit more challenging due to the stricter requirements of the city.  But, Vince handled everything professionally while keeping us well informed of the situation.  Despite the unexpected extra time out of their control, the experience and end result far exceeded our expectations.  

Later in the year, Veteran Electric helped diagnose an issue on the older generator at my house installed by a contractor that's no longer around.  The service was prompt and fair.  I was back up and running quickly.  

Finally, when we built our new home this year, we hired Veteran Electric again to install a 3rd standby generator as soon as we closed on the house.  I was working out of town at the time.  Vince and his crew delivered and installed the generator, wired it up, and coordinated with my plumber all without me having to physically be present.  Everything went super easy, zero stress, zero regrets, I couldn't be happier.  

I will continue using and recommending Veteran Electric whenever possible.  Vince Anderson is an honest businessman and master electrician that's thoroughly earned my respect and a customer for life.

Definitely worth the read. For those that are like me that try and research and debate on quality vs price vs experience. Let this be a insight. I had a boot repair sanding machine motor go down. And I had hired a different company which I paid nearly $1000 for them to just trouble shoot and tell me that they weren't sure if they can fix it. Being that this is my means of business that answer was not good enough for me. So a friend as well as, quick response made me pick Paul Richard. (I appreciate your speedy follow up even though u were on vacation) the technician came out assessed the situation and multiple times rest assured the time it would take vs cost. The technician(greg) figured it out and had to go get the part. Well upon return and installation it still didn't work.maybe it being his tool he left and went to home depot to get another tool and comeback just to make sure.  With further troubleshooting found out that distributor gave him the wrong part and due to time he would not be able to have it installed and would have to reschedule till the next day afternoon. Stressed and a bit frustrated I said ok. I mean at this point it is what it is. So the next day comes around and I get a call from my mother. He had made it out of his way to get a back full to come in the morning and install the part. Thank you Juan Carlos. And to be honest yes the prices was a bit more BUT the quality, clear communication and attention to customer care surpasses the difference in price. I appreciate everything and the whole experience. We were scared because we didn't think it could be fixed and y'all did it professionally and whole heartedly. Thank you!

Geovanny is as good as they come. Had a stubborn faucet that I could not remove. I called City & Beyond Handyman Services and was given excellent customer service. He educated me on how my piping works and gave me tips to prevent blockage. I'll be contacting him first from now on. I'm already thinking of other projects that he can help me with. Great guy! We used Bakenhus from Yelp recommendations and they lived up to their rating. We needed canned lighting put in in three rooms, bring all kitchen/wet areas up to code with GFCI outlets, and bunch of smaller odd jobs to make the house we bought safer and more convenient.

Robert (owner?) came out to survey everything. I told him what I wanted and he was able to recommend a bunch of things I hadn't thought of which was great. They did the work at a reasonable price, though be warned they are not the cheapest, but I you get what you pay for.

We made a couple changes to our kitchen after the work was done, and they came back to adjust a couple of things for us at no charge which was nice.

I'd give them a 4.8 if I could, for one weird decision which was made where an outlet right next to a timer switch controlling a water feature outside was also on the timer, so anything plugged into it (our TV system) would work only a few hours a day. Again,  they happily came out to correct it free of charge.

Highly recommended.

This is a complete Yelp success story!  Our 3 year old Maytag dishwasher suddenly would not power up.  Got on yelp to find a appliance repair man, he came out told us we need an electrician.  Ok, got back on Yelp found Ace, liked the reviews and book them online through Yelp.  There was some sort of booking error between Yelp and Ace.  I selected the 2-5pm slot but somehow that was submitted to Ace as a 7-10pm slot!  That choice did not even exist!  I did not expect anyone to show up.  However, Ace called me around 6:30, to confirm my slot.  They had an electrician available, it was still early, and my wife and I are tired of washing dishes by hand! He showed up around 7:30 and quickly was able to diagnose the problem.  The Home Depot installation was a complete disaster.  The idiots spliced a plug install with a hard wire install.  It was not done correct.  The wiring actually shorted out, should have flipped a breaker but did not.  We had a hot wire that could have caused a fire.  Thanks to Yelp we had the right man on the job.  He wired the dishwasher correctly.  He replaced a faulty light switch.  45 minutes later, the dishwasher was back on and goodbye hand washing dishes!  $200 bucks well spent.  Ace is great, Yelp is great, and our lives are improved.  Love this app, used to be an elite, but still use this app as a solid resource to get through life and find great BBQ.

I was told my quote would be complimentary and then whoever I spoke to went back on his word, thus charging me $175 for not doing any work on my home. Very subjective and unprofessional business practice. Went with A1 Plus Electrical instead who did a much better job diagnosing my problem than Brotherly Love Electric did.

During Hurricane Harvey my power went out, and when it came back on a number of my circuits had tripped. I was able to get most of them to reset either with the GFCI or at the panel itself; however the breaker for my gas dryer would not reset.

After consulting the Better Business Bureau website for electricians in my area I came across Beekman Electric and their A+ rating. I gave them a call, explained my situation and they were able to get someone out to fix my issue the following day.

John, the electrician who came to my house was very nice, as was my interactions over the phone with Mr. Thomas Beekman himself.

Pete did a great job installing 2 outlets in my garage. He gave me an accurate quote and knew exactly what he was doing. He even came the same day! He was on time, professional, and his price was very reasonable. I am most definitely going to use his services in the future.

I was overcharged by your employee for our services. We trusted your employee to give us a good price where the average cost of services to upgrade a a 40 amp breaker to a 50 amp (and a cable ran 10 -6) with a surge protector ended up costing well into $1500. With our estimations and other companies suggestions the work should have only cost a maximum of $600. So unfortunately We are going to have to give your company a poor review after having multiple electricians (In our family) and two independent quotes reveal to us the overcharge. Thank you Mr. Electric for sending out people who take advantage of urgency.

Let me start by saying I never give five stars. And I actually should deduct a star since the electrician was half an hour late and I had to call to see if they were still coming. But it was forgivable since he had a good reason for being late.

The electrician was very professional and managed to fix my mess with a smile. I've done contract work, so I know the game - take your time and run up the cost. This guy was fast - like he got right to work, came up with a novel solution to my problem, and had it installed much faster than I could have.

The price was way less than I expected to pay, and after all that, they gave me a mug. They are definitely getting repeat work from me!

Absolutely horrendous.  Prices are outrageous.  Will spend more time trying to sell you things you don't need than doing the ob.
