We needed a tesla home charger installed and scott did a wonderful job. he was friendly and installed the charger fast. we made sure it was working (it was, perfectly) and he was on his way!

First I am super appreciative of having someone come out in short notice before Thanksgiving.  Our outdoor island inexplicably lost power and I couldn't locate the issue.  The electrician came out as promised and within an hour fixed the problem.  It was great.

Now the not so great from my viewpoint--the electrician only replaced a GFCI plug.  The reason I hadn't replaced is that maybe a couple years ago I replaced the same plug.  It made me curious that within 5 years I am on my 3rd.  They charged me a lot.  The total charged was 30x plus what a GFCI plug actually costs.  Including a service travel fee.  

I thought it was a bit much but if you need good work and super responsive team, this company will take care of you.

Very responsive, even though I called on weekend late on a Saturday. Responded to my call right away & had a technician, Scott, there on Sunday morning.

I chose the emergency weekend call because my new AC went out suddenly & I learned late Saturday it was an electrical issue. Way too hot to wait for a weekday! But the owner was very upfront about weekend vs. weekday rates and ready to accommodate whatever worked best for me based on convenience & cost. Scott was able to locate the problem & get everything running again!!

This is a small company, very personable, considerate, and I had a great experience from start to finish. I will call them again if I have any electrical issues in the future. Honest, reasonable fair rates, and considerate, plus got the job done! Loving my cool home! Don't hesitate to call them, great experience.

Definitely worth the read. For those that are like me that try and research and debate on quality vs price vs experience. Let this be a insight. I had a boot repair sanding machine motor go down. And I had hired a different company which I paid nearly $1000 for them to just trouble shoot and tell me that they weren't sure if they can fix it. Being that this is my means of business that answer was not good enough for me. So a friend as well as, quick response made me pick Paul Richard. (I appreciate your speedy follow up even though u were on vacation) the technician came out assessed the situation and multiple times rest assured the time it would take vs cost. The technician(greg) figured it out and had to go get the part. Well upon return and installation it still didn't work.maybe it being his tool he left and went to home depot to get another tool and comeback just to make sure.  With further troubleshooting found out that distributor gave him the wrong part and due to time he would not be able to have it installed and would have to reschedule till the next day afternoon. Stressed and a bit frustrated I said ok. I mean at this point it is what it is. So the next day comes around and I get a call from my mother. He had made it out of his way to get a back full to come in the morning and install the part. Thank you Juan Carlos. And to be honest yes the prices was a bit more BUT the quality, clear communication and attention to customer care surpasses the difference in price. I appreciate everything and the whole experience. We were scared because we didn't think it could be fixed and y'all did it professionally and whole heartedly. Thank you!

Been having some electrical issues in my newly purchased townhome which is over 30 years old. David was dispatched within 2 hours. He was kind and knowledgeable. Within 30 min he was able to diagnose the issue and had the problem remedied. I also requested a quote since the electrical panel will need to be moved and replaced soon. I was told I would have it within 24 hours. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

I would give 0 but there is no option for 0 so leaving 1 star. I called for light repair. Caller quoted me $495 to have someone to come out to look. I thought I misunderstood so I repeated do you mean $4.95? He said $495, four hundred ninety five. Lol. Do I even need to bother asking further questions at this point? What a scam. As soon as I repeated $495 he just hung up the phone. Scam, bad work ethics, rip off.

We needed a ceiling fan hung to replace the original one that lost a blade. The price was reasonable and service was great. They called to say the technician Shemar could be at our house earlier than requested. That was fine with me and worked out well. He was efficient, friendly and worked quickly. He cleaned up after and took the old fixture for recycling. We will use them again.

It was Labor Day weekend some of my electric outlets were not working
Look at yelped he responded very quickly and asked me about the issues
Within a less than 2 hours he showed up
Take look at trouble spots are and fixed right away and he told me what's going on each outlet problems. Very happy with his job.

I needed electrical work done on a burnt breaker box on a house I am selling in a townhouse condo community.  I called Paul on Mother's Day weekend.  He has a very clear understanding of how important his work is and personal emergencies don't take a holiday.  

He replaced the main breaker, navigated the waters of my condo association, provided superior customer service, and did so without sacrificing quality, attention to detail, or value.  He effectively balanced making my tenant/buyer feel safe while not putting me in the poor house.

Electrical work is important and and can be dangerous.  I trust Paul with the safety of my family.  

He is in my contact list and will be my first call for future needs and recommend you do the same.

Needed to look for help with my Family room electrical issues. Called and spoke with the office administrator. She said they were pretty booked that day but would see if they could fit me in.

About 10 minutes later she informed me they would. When the technician Greg came in he was very respectful and courteous. He wore his mask and proceeded to check the problem out. They fixed the issue and the price was reasonable.

Prompt,efficient,knowledgeable and courteous. This is a great company. Will definitely use them again! I highly recommend them for my electrical needs :)

I rarely am surprised by a company but Paul and his team(Efrem and Eric) have made me believer not only in them but of Yelp. One call that's all it took to get them to my house and fix all the small honey do's my wife had saved up for me. Their professionalism and knowledge made the job look easy. I cannot recommend Paul Richard Electric Enough! I called Paul on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend with serious wiring and grounding issues. Paul immediately arranged to have one of his technicians (Jose) meet him at my house so they could assess the situation together. Not only were they both very friendly, they were very through with their work. Paul walked me, step by step, through what the issue was and what'd have to be done to fix it. We just moved into our home and realized we needed to switch out the dryer plug. Paul was very quick to respond and came out the same day. While on-site Paul quickly spotted several safety issues that needed to be addressed.  He was very detailed and went on to explain the importance while also recommending that I get multiple quotes/opinions which I appreciate. Paul is extremely knowledgeable as well as polite and courtesy. We will certainly be using him again in the future.

I am so happy I called Paul Richard Electric. They were responsive (at my house within an hour from the time I called) and did an amazing job. My smoke detectors had been going off since 2:00AM so their quick & reliable response was welcomed!! Efren was professional and walked me through everything he was going to do and made sure I totally understood how it would all work. He worked quickly & effectively to install the new detectors, electrical panel surge protector & new kitchen plug. I will continue to use these guys for all of my electrical needs in the future and you should too!!

I had a blown fuse in my breaker box on a hot Sunday night. I called and Paul came out and replaced it which allowed us to have working air conditioning. Paul was professional, courteous, thorough, and most of all, very safe.  I highly recommend.

I called Paul Richard Electric, and Jose quickly found the root of the problems, and fixed them in short order --I feel much better knowing that my house has a proper ground now. I was really impressed with his professionalism and expertise, and I will go to Paul Richard Electric the next time I have any electrical needs.

Paul Richard himself called us to talk about the job which was really cool. He made us feel confident in the company and like he knew what to do. However, the rest of the experience wasn't as great. We had scheduled for the next day, and had a hard time getting a confirmation for the appointment and ended up being pushed later than Paul said. This is probably due to Covid/work shortages/the holidays but was still frustrating. The technician showed up over an hour early to the appointment but didn't call first and so we woke up to the doorbell ringing. He was a hard worker, although he disappeared a couple times and we couldn't figure out why. Ended up finding the issue, as well as an issue with our breaker box, and was able to fix all of those. The billing was another adventure as he tried to charge for four hours of labor for 3:15 of time there. He ended up calling the office and resolving the discrepancy but that was definitely frustrating to deal with. Overall would recommend them and will call again, but not quite a five star experience.

I called this company after reading a few of the reviews here on Yelp. We have a circuit breaker that keeps tripping and really needed a quote and quick fix .

First call, I spoke with Paul he gave me a quote and I was ready to schedule. The dispatcher Brandy called me back to schedule and she quoted me something different than what Paul quoted, but she did honor Paul's quote.

The tech Kenny comes out, troubleshoots the problem and proceeds to tell me what I need. We needed to replace the bad breaker I asked how much breaker cost and he said about $160, which was fine.  I asked if he had the part with him he went to his truck to check, he didn't have it. He made a phone call to someone to get a price on a breaker and then said the breaker would be $199. I told him I couldn't pay what seemed like it would be well over $600. He went outside made a phone call, came back and said the breaker would be $185, they could order it and ship it to their location and he would come back the next day to replace it.  

This is where I started to feel like I didn't do enough research on electricians and became frustrated. He would've had to drive to 45 and Tidwell to pick it up the part,  come back & replace it. My issue with this was the clock doesn't stop, I would be responsible for travel time and actual labor. Not to mention I'm still on the hook for the initial hour, which was only about 15-20 mins tops. I paid the $65 (4% surcharge) trip charge and the $110 (4% surcharge) hourly rate for the technician and took my loss.  

Once he left I checked Lowes and Home Depot only to find that the breaker was less then $60.

By no means do I want this to be a bad review, I just think some things could be explained better prior to scheduling the appointment. My fault, I should've asked better questions, but honestly I didn't know what questions to ask.

Their customer service is TOP TIER all around and I highly would recommend them based on that alone. Just do your research on all costs with these guys before booking.

Reached out to Paul Richard Electric to install 6 dimmer switches throughout our new home. Brandy is who I spoke to from first call to final payment, she was polite and helpful every time we spoke. Unlike other companies who wanted me to pay marked up prices for the dimmers,  she encouraged me to buy myself to save cost. She even helped me ensure the dimmer switches I purchased myself were the right ones for the job. Paul the electrician was friendly and fast, installed all 6 dimmers in less than 2 hours. Over all experience was fantastic, will use them again in the future! Thank you all for your help!

I received response minutes after I submitted my request. However, they only asked for the pictures of the location I needed to have the portable generator connector installed, then did not respond for a week when I received a response. I have already signed a contract with another company.

Contacted Paul Richard Electric on a Saturday when 5 rooms in my home lost power. They offered to come out the same day & disclosed their rate. I had them come out on Sunday. They fixed what was wrong without any issues.

What we thought was a faulty modem turned out to be a sparking wires on the verge of causing a fire. After a frantic search for someone to come out ASAP on a Saturday, I came across Paul's profile and saw he had stellar reviews. The strong reviews are totally warranted. His technician, Kenny, came right away and fixed the issue in a flash. Crisis averted. Paul followed up with a call to make sure everything was OK. I highly recommend!

Paul is the Electrician you want hired for your next job. He was EXTREMELY helpful every step of the way. I was in a bind with one of my properties that lost power due to unusual circumstances and he was able to get it repaired within 24 hours. If I hadn't found Paul I'm really uncertain that I would have had anyone repair my issue in such a timely and efficient manner. He is officially saved in my phone for the next time I need an Electrician for anything.

My home was experiencing an issue with the dimming of the lights and the power cutting in and out. I called Paul to see if a technician could come out. He let me know it would be a minimum of $285 ($65 service fee plus $110 per hour with a 2-hour minimum). I asked him that before I decide to spend the money on the service call, does he have any idea what the problem could be from what I explained to him. He said no, it could be any number of things and it was best to have someone come out to troubleshoot.

When the technician arrived, I explained to him the same thing I told Paul over the phone and he immediately told me he had seen this issue many times before and he was almost positive it had to do with the electrical feed and I would have to call Centerpoint to take care of it. He even mentioned he gave the same advice to his friends when they told him of the same issue - call Centerpoint first before you decide to spend money on an electrician to see if everything is ok with the electrical feed. He then proceeded to check my panel and the connections around my house before coming back to me and reiterating that I should call my electricity provider.

I believe the technician was very knowledgeable, but it was a very poor practice to send out a technician for this call and charge me $285 essentially for advice that could have been given over the phone. For this reason, I can't recommend this company. I wish I could rate the technician separate from the company - 5 stars for the technician, 1 star for the company as a whole and their business practices.

Edit:

I called Centerpoint and it was an issue with the electrical feed - exactly as the technician said. It took Centerpoint about an hour to fix. As an attorney, I have reviewed the provisions of the Texas Department of Licencing and Regulations pertaining to electricians. There are no guidelines  that would forbid any company from asking further questions such as is it just your home or are your neighbors experiencing the same issue? have you contacted Centerpoint to see if it is an issue on their end?. Again, these are things that the technician immediately asked when he arrived and questions if asked on the phone would have saved me $285.

Sorry, Paul. 73.51.4 Electrical Contractors' Responsibilities does not prevent you from asking the two questions I mentioned above, nor would it put your license at risk. I appreciate that you read all reviews and take time to respond, but also find it pathetic you can't take responsibility for your own failings. Based on this alone, I could not recommend your services to anyone.

We were putting in additional insulation in the attic when our contractor saw some sparking near a recessed light box. We stopped the project and knew we needed an electrician immediately. Paul Richard Electric was able to come out same day and quickly identified that it was a staple that had broken an old wire casing. They replaced the wire and everything was safe again. Great customer service and practical expertise.

Do not use. First we asked for an estimate and they had us go to the home Depot to look for a part that doesn't exist.

PR said he responded via email but I didn't have it even after looking in spam folder. He continued to try and communicate this way even after I said I was getting his emails and have him my phone number and requested texting.

Next they didn't show on day they set up. They said they had an emergency which I was okay with but they didn't call to say so.

Lastly, they cut a hole in our wall to install an outlet? Since the hole was larger than the outlet cover, they promised they would return that evening with a larger outlet cover. They never did. The picture shows what we are left with. The black around the cover is part of the hole.

I used Paul Richard Electric to change out some light fixtures and run power to a newly built kitchen island. The guys were on time and courteous and ultimately they got power to the island and the lights installed. It did take them a lot longer than I expected. We've had other light fixtures changed before and it seemed to take these guys quite a bit longer. I wondered if it was because they charge by the hour whereas in the past we've just paid a flat rate. However, considering the total amount of work I think the pricing was fair.

One of the lights fell shortly after it was installed. Paul sent someone to fix it promptly which was appreciated and showed a dedication to customer service.

The only real negative I can say is that they left a huge mess. Sawdust everywhere :( wish they had cleaned up after themselves. But otherwise I was happy with them.

Wanted a decent amount of work done (a couple new circuits run, some outlets not working, etc...)

Wasted two weeks waiting to hear back from this guy.

Called to request a quote, super nice on the phone, told to email pics and he'd get a quote out. Uploaded pics, got an email back immediately saying 'Got it!'. Great.
Waited a week, and nothing.
Called back to check on it and 'I never got your email'
Sent pics again, texted to make sure he received the email, got confirmation he had received.
It's now been over a week again and no call, no text, no email.

Don't waste your time with this guy.

Not that they need any more positive reviews, but I'll add to the slew... Paul is the nicest electrician you'll come across. He's super responsive too! Edwin is just as professional and courteous. I was able to get them and their crew to come do a bunch of different jobs at my property within a reasonable amount of time from my call. They do the job right and to code, which is what you want. No funny business here!

I called the Paul Richard Electric office number on a Sunday at 3:15 pm, and Paul himself picked up the phone. He patiently listened to me describe the weird electrical problem that  our house was having. He then talked me through performing a diagnostic test that would determine if the problem was electrical or a gas line problem, etc. I want to emphasize that I called on a Sunday afternoon, and Paul was very patient with me. I will be using Paul Richard Electric to fix my current electrical problem and all future electrical problems. Thank you, Paul!

I have used Paul Richard electric on the build out of both of my dog daycare location facilities. Not only was his work professional and accurate but he was punctual which is most important. Both locations opened on time with zero electrical hiccups.  One night our electric meter from the city burned up and shut power down, he knew this was an emergency for us so he and his crew were out with in an hour and worked through the night installing a new meter can and riser. We were up and running before morning.  I can rest easy knowing that electrical has been sized properly and him on my side. This review is delayed a few weeks but still applies to the stellar service of Paul Richard Electrical.  

If I could give Paul Richard Electric more than 5 out of 5 stars, I would.   The main thing that came from my project was that this company was 1) accessible and engaging, 2) reasonable in price, 3) service accommodating, and 4) adept in workmanship.  They were quite responsive in working with me to provide quick service under a tight schedule.  After Lynette understood my situation, she quickly connected me with Paul to coordinate service and pricing.  Very reasonable, I might add.  

I had several lighting fixtures that required installation as part of an interior enhancement project.  Josh was punctual and quickly addressed my combination of track lighting, chandelier, and security lights to be installed.   This was accomplished efficiently and effectively.   Because of its positioning on a high ceiling, Josh made critical adjustments and centered the track lighting for best visual effect.        

However, after Josh left, we took pictures of the just installed chandelier and were immediately notified by the design consultant that the chandelier needed to be adjusted down further.  Our previous measurements were at fault - not Josh.  So, a call was made back to Paul Richard, which Lynette, again, quickly coordinated a call to Paul.   Paul sized up this situation and proceeded to schedule another visit to our home although the office was located in north Houston.  Josh came back early the next day to lower the chandelier but within the safety limits of the wiring that could be allowed.  This accommodation (service and pricing) was quite appreciated and showed the commitment to service inherent in Paul Richard.

Paul and Edwin were available within an hour after making my request.  They were very kind and professional.  They were able to fix my bathroom vanity lights that would not come on for the past 3 weeks.  They found the old electrical wire to be bad and replaced it with an up to date wire.  They also taught me how to check the GFI outlet and to check it monthly.  
From my personal view I thought that $285 minimum was a bit much when they only took 30 minutes to fix the problem.

I'm really thankful that Paul could get a tech out following my 8 PM call and have them there within the hour. They really did not do anything to restore my power other than remove the switch box cover so they could flip the switches all the way. Oh well, it is what it is. But seeing as I had to pay a 2 hour minimum I asked if the tech could fix some outlets that were not working for me, to take advantage of the $285 I had to pay, and make the most of the two hours of service I was paying for, and he said no and that I would have to make a separate service call for another $285. I felt taken advantage of. I will always pay for service and I will not argue that because I believe in honest business and respecting service providers, but if I pay for something I expect to be provided the service. That to me is poor business etiquette and customer service.

Paul was absolutely amazing, I contacted late Saturday evening and he confirmed an appointment with me for Sunday at noon (no one else I contacted at the time even gave me availability, and told me to call their office on Monday...)

He showed up right on time along with Jacob who was also very helpful. He quickly diagnosed the problem, checked my breaker, and knew exactly how to fix things up. He even reminded me to check on our GFCI outlets at least once a month and educated me on some of the basics.

Our fridge kept tripping the breaker.  I emailed Paul Richard Electric to check and see if it was a plug or breaker issue. The electrician was able to come out the same day! They were so kind and explained what they were checking and why. Not only did they check the plug and breaker (turns out it was the breaker) the guys even made sure the wiring in the back of the fridge wasn't overheating.  I truly appreciate anyone that goes the extra mile to make sure that I understand what caused the issue and that I feel safe in my own home!  Thank you!!

OMG, the storm last night uprooted a tree which knocked down our power line to my mothers house in Houston Texas and my brother found Paul Richard Electric online. We are so thankful for Pauls quick response and professionalism among his recommendations in order to be with the cities compliance. Paul even found a tree service company to clear the branches for the City workers to reconnect our power line to the home. Seriously, if you are in need of an electrician Paul Richard Electric is who I would recommend. In addition, Pauls employee Joshua Fuentes was so helpful and professional and answered all of my questions and did an excellent job in the installation of a box/cable line that was needed in order for the city to reconnect power. 5 stars rating for sure.

To those of you who own a home or knows someone who owns or rent a home and need electrical service; Paul Richard Electrical should and must be the only electrician you should consider. Paul's company was very professional ,honest and out right excellent in how they perform the installation of my patio lights on a 24x24 patio cover.
Damian was the electrician who install the lights. I, wish I, could show everyone how neatly & beautifully the install looks. My wife is so giddy about it she just loves it ! spending several hours relaxing on the patio since the lights were install. Its and understatement for me to say we are extremely happy. We have always had regular bulbs blow within a month or 2 in our bathroom light fixtures above the main mirror in the master bedroom.  Also, the light in the closet was constantly going out.  We ended up changing all our bulbs to the new led ones..soft glow.  They have been doing a fine job, but every so often would flicker.  Recently, the closet light would work one day and not the next.  This morning my wife heard a loud pop and both fixtures on the main mirror(each hold 2 bulbs) went out.  All of them.  The closet light does not come on.  Also, we have always had an outlet in that bathroom that has not worked we want looked at. The owner Paul and Jonathan came by today and was able to determine the problem and was able to solve quickly.  Nice guys and very informative.  I would hire them and again and send referrals to my friends!

I've been desperate for months to find an electrician on nextdoor.com. I found people who would make appointments and not show up. People who thought I would pay $450/hour because they were recommended by neighbors etc, etc..

Went to Yelp where I've never been let down, called Paul based on the number of positive reviews and finally found the one.

Punctual, professional, and competent are just a few words I could use to describe Jonathan and Jacob. Two people who love what they do and it shows.

I would strongly advise if you are troubleshooting an issue at home not to use this company as the Time and material (T&M) would rip your wallet in half, and leave you with more electrical issues than you already have.
There were two problems during the visits: one was the electrical outlets on one side of the house, and the other was a malfunction breaker in the circuit breaker issue that I did not know about.
On work etiquette, the technician was late for an hour; on work ethic, the technician did not have a common 20amp household breaker. The technician took over 1.5 hr while billing me to one of the two home depots I showed that was only 15 minutes away with no traffic.
On technical competency, 1) it took 5 hours for *two* technician to diagnose and repair the outlet/plug issue on the work order, *only to have the outlets go out on me again. Not only was the issue not resolve, the technician created more problem after failing to install the 20amp breaker that he thought was the problem. just  to illustrate the failed installation, the tech. did not tie the wire to the breaker he installed. 2) the outlets, I called about, were fixed momentarily, and when the technician was prompted with the question on the cause of the problem, he told me he did not know, and some times it just fixes itself-never, because the problem came back after they left.
As for Paul, I presume he is the owner. I was  told that I would not be getting any compensation for the install failure. Despite the fact that he told the technician to leave when my fridge outlet (the problem that was not there before), would not work anymore, and I later found out that it was due to a mistake on installing the new breaker, which takes less than 5 min for the new electrician I hire to do. When I confronted Paul, he said they have an obligation to work on all the issues they found, and which contradicted to Paul telling his technician to leave because the problem they created was not on the work order I called about. Paul told me that he did not say that. If you are reading this you can probably figure out where I am getting at with the hassle dealing with a company like this. After roughly 5 hours and 575 dollars, my problem was not resolved and ended up with more problems. still waiting on the call that he was going to make after his phone battery died two weeks ago.

A tile contractor demanded we get an electrician to come fix a loose electrical outlet before installing our kitchen backsplash. After calling seven electricians with either no availability that day or outrageous prices, I found Paul Richard Electric. Paul had an electrician at our place within a couple hours, and our outlet was fixed in under thirty minutes. They even switched it out for a GFCI outlet that was up to code. The electrician didn't have a brand new one but they ended up installing the one they had (which was better than our existing, non-GFCI outlet) at no charge. I will definitely be using this company again.

Those 5 star reviews are legit. My garage door wouldn't open after I had the exterior of the house cleaned. Turned out the water got into the circuits and it wasn't going to be the simple fix of letting it dry out on its own. Paul picked up the phone, explained the costs to me and was at my home within the hour. Paul and Edwin explained what went wrong and fixed it right then and there. I felt bad making them come out on Valentine's Day but I have a working garage door again!

We called Paul Richard Electric to give us a quote to do a large job at a retail store in Houston.  They set up and appointment and didn't show.  We sent up another appointment and again they didn't show.  Finally, I expressed my concern that if they don't show up for appointments then what is the actual working schedule like if were to select them?  They promised they would be out a third time.  They did come on the third appointment.  We waited 2 weeks and still no quote for the job.  No one could find the quote, no one could find anything.  They told us their technician was working on it and would be back with us that day.  Three days went by.  I phoned again.  Pearl in the office said no quote was sent because they were still waiting on pricing for the supplies.  She promised I would be called the next day.  5 days went by.  I just go off the phone with them and they said they fired the person that came out to give us a quote so they didn't have any information anymore on our bid.  I asked if it was even a good idea to move forward as we have been waiting now 4 weeks.  He casually said, well no, maybe not.
You decide for yourself if you would like to try them out.  They were awful and held us up a month. I have in 28 years of retail never seen a more disorganized and unprofessional operation.  I guess they are too busy to take a 12,000.00 job...I can't imagine the service you'll get if your job is even less $$$ than that...

We had such an easy and convenient experience with Paul Richard Electric! We called on a Monday evening because our outdoor outlets had all stopped working within the last month, and Paul was out at our house an hour later. Within another hour, all our issues were fixed. This company I give 5 stars! I called the company on Tuesday. Received a call from the owner Paul who explained to me step by step what I needed to do. The service was completed on Thursday and that's only because I had to have my temporary bypass removed and had to wait for Centerpointe. Otherwise it would have been completed the same day. Phenomenal customer service, work was neat, done in a timely manner and the price was reasonable. I would recommend and use this company again.

He asked if he could call me in 20 minutes, and I explained I was at work and could call him again at noon. He agreed that was a good time. I called him at 11:50. Paul Richard Electric did an awesome job. Efficient, good group. Answered my phone call late at night on a Friday, offered to come right then but I scheduled them for the next morning. I had a breaker shut off two bedrooms, with one of those bedrooms housing the internet causing the m-cell (cell service), internet, tv (which I run through my internet) all to stop working. They were prompt and thorough, and able to quickly identify and fix the issue. I felt very comfortable with them in my home and with the work they were doing. Paul made sure to take the time to explain what he found to be the issue and exactly how to fix / keep it from happening again, and patiently answered all my questions. It was refreshing to hire a genuine contractor. I will definitely be using Paul Richard Electric again.

I wish I could say how many ways Paul and his team went above and beyond for our family. Our home was flooded during Harvey and destroyed a second time by our general contractor with really shoddy work. The electrical was horrific and unsafe. At 36 weeks pregnant, we were to move back in and found the electrical work that had been completed was so terrible and we needed to have it fixed and move on to new subcontractors. Paul took the time to review pictures I sent him and had his team start immediately... They were working for nearly 5 weeks from 8 AM to 5 PM. They were on time every day and if they had to go to another emergency job they would communicate that with me immediately. They gave us good recommendations and did not try to swindle us, although they could have because we were at their mercy. Extremely reliable and honest, and that goes for everyone on their staff. The guys would even offer to let my dogs out if I was not home or bring me lunch, and on a particularly bad day... helped us look for the dogs after they escaped. Can't say enough good things about this company, and I've got beautiful lighting and wiring to prove it! Thank you Paul, Jonathan and Pinkies!!!!

I needed help with a breaker that kept tripping.  Because it was an Eaton breaker and I was able to read a code that indicated the breaker's self-test was failing, I thought it would be a simple breaker changeout, but wanted someone to come make sure there wasn't a bigger problem also.  

I looked up electricians in my area on Yelp and sorted by rating; Paul Richard Electric came up as the top result.  I read the reviews and decided to go with Paul Richard after noting the high level of service provided and the quick response time, even though it appeared from the other reviewers the minimum charge was $285.  

After submitting a request for quote which took just a few minutes, even with the submission of pictures of my breaker box, Paul himself got back with me within 10 minutes (guaranteed response time of 20 minutes) with an estimate of $285 and request to call for more information.  Long story short, Paul was able to come by within the next hour because he was in the area and get the problem fixed.  He and Jon (the other tech who was with him) were also able to test the new breaker after they installed it, with all my appliances in the kitchen turned on, to determine the load on the circuit was OK.  He also examined the breaker box install from the builder and recommended a couple of changes they should make under the original home warranty to bring the box to code, and documented them on the receipt the same evening per my request.  Even though we tested it thoroughly, Paul offered to have a tech come out next day if there were any further problems overnight, despite it being an extremely busy schedule for them on Thanksgiving week.

The $285 included the trip charge plus a two-hour minimum of work.  I also paid for the cost of the breaker they replaced (they showed me the receipt).  All in all, I feel like I got my money's worth and got the problem resolved safely and effectively.  Thanks Paul and Jon!!

I called Paul Richard after I had a terrible experience with a different electrician, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Joshua. He was understanding, sympathetic, and more than ready to get my project done right. Joshua and his team came in and rewired an outlet for my new whirlpool tub, split the fan and light into 2 separate switches in both bathrooms, replaced switches, installed a chandelier, and 2 flushmount lights. They are a little pricey, but Joshua was able to easily work around what I thought were reasonable charges and I felt very satisfied with the agreement we came to. Worth every penny!

I called 3 different electricians before I chose Paul Richard Electric. When I called, the young lady told me an electrician would give me a call back to give me an estimate. Joshua called me within 10 min and was professional, friendly, patient, and explained the whole process to me with ease. He was the reason I booked with Paul Richard.  He got me an appointment at the day and time I requested, and a young man named Vincent came out. He was on-time and professional. The only thing is that I had emailed them a photo of the breaker I needed, and he didn't have it when he came to the appointment. He had to run to Home Depot to get the breaker. He apologized profusely for it, and it was fine. He still finished and checked the work within the 2 hour minimum charge. The payment process was also very easy, and they applied the discount as discussed. I would use them again for sure!

As a Houston property manager I am responsible for a commercial strip center which recently required an upgrade in exterior lighting. If all companies were as forthright as this one, Hurricane Harvey would not still be the ongoing nightmare that it is. The electrician working for Paul Richards went above and beyond to repair the damage (in a hot attic!) an unscrupulous contractor had done to my wiring and did his best so that I would not have additional charges to fix all that had been damaged. I cannot praise this company enough, in particular the young electrician who helped restore the power to the front of my house. From any angle you choose to measure this company, they earn top accolades.

Wow!!! Paul Richard Electric company is the true MVP! I received the 3 Ps: Professional, Polite, and Prompt. I called because my handyman was not so handy in regards to my light fixture. I was able to speak to the owner, and Paul was able to set an appointment and come to my rescue the same day. Not knowing what mess he would be coming to given my handymans efforts, he quoted me for 2hrs just in case. Paul was able to assess my fixture and fix the problem in less than an hour. Bravo!! I've been hesitating to write a bad review of this company.  They came to perform the call quickly in response and did spent the whole afternoon almost 5-6 hours to try to trouble shoot what was the problem causing the house partial area without electricity.  But unfortunately with no success.  Paul on the phone before he took the job told me usually problem could be diagnosed within two hours and he charges by hours. So he was very nice capping his charge to his promise at two hours for the troubleshoot on the invoice; however, he lied because he was unable to pinpoint the root cause.  He told me he was able to narrow down the trouble to the wall area where some connection problem was inside the wall.  His solution and suggestion was to tear down the wall so that he could continue the troubleshoot and fix the problem.  However, this was not the case.  I consulted a second opinion from previous owner before deciding to tear down the wall in one of the rooms, and found out there was a switch inside closet.  Simply reset resolved the electricity disconnect problem.  I felt really sorry that I didn't know there was a switch box that can reset when Paul came.  I did asked Paul several times that if it was possible there was a second breaker or something elsewhere because I had doubts.  
I don't like is the lies from Paul.  He could have just been honest and told me that he was unable to figure out the problem and quit instead of telling me the wrong solution.  Paul even insisted me to pay his troubleshoot bill first before he can continue the job to resolve the problem. Now I refuse to pay his $285 bill for the troubleshoot he did with a wrong diagnosis which might cost me a lot more unnecessarily.  Paul even suggested me to replace all plugs/outlets because he said those were not wired correctly which will cost me thousands.  The house is very old built in 70s.  I am sure those were per old requirements, but I don't think those were all connected wrong.
Also Paul told me the connection to the outside breaker box needs to be replaced by the electrical company because it was not per code.  So I called Centerpoint, but the guy told me everything is fine per code.  
I chose this company because of all previous 5 star reviews on the website.  Now I realize this company has weakness and limitations and users should know about it.  
Choosing to publish this bad experience I have had so that all others can think carefully based on the job types or problems you have.

Talk about service!  We had a short in the line to our water heater and Paul was able to come out on a Saturday afternoon and fix the problem at a very reasonable price.  Turns out the builder had wired the connections at the outlet backwards.  If you ever need a top notch electrician, call Paul!

If I could have this company do EVERYTHING around the house, not just the electrical stuff, I absolutely would.  We reached out to Paul Richard Electric this morning and they not only got back to us quickly with a very reasonable price, but they showed up the same day and got our insanely huge fan installed in no time.  They had to move some furniture around to get to the pre-wired spot, so I was expecting to come home from work to a mess I'd have to rearrange.  Not so - they even put everything back EXACTLY as it was!  I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who is looking to get something done well the first time, without any hassle and at a reasonable price.

I recently purchased a house in the Heights that had many minor electric issues according to the inspection report.  I finally got around to searching for an electrical company to take care of all of these issues.  I found Paul Richard Electric on Yelp and was able to schedule a technician to come out right away, even though my work was not an emergency.  When Ryan arrived, he went over the inspection report with me and was able to identify the issues that required immediate attention.  He patiently answered all my questions and was able to figure out which remote controls went to which fans, blinds, etc., which pieces of equipment were not working, which switches went to which lighting, etc.  He corrected some issues with the electrical panels.  The electric system in the house had some quirks that were not evident which resulted in all the electricity going out in the garage later that night.  Ryan came back early the next morning to quickly take care of the remaining issues.  I was very pleased with the work that Ryan performed and will definitely be using this business in the future for all of my electrical needs!

Yelp comes thru again, called Paul from what we read on hear. Was able to get us a quick appt.  Paul did a great job of finding our issues, and setting the appt. for the work. Very nice man, and VERY Professional!

Requested an electrician to disconnect a doorbell that was no longer in use. The transformer for this doorbell was failing, and causing a very loud buzzing sound that was driving me crazy. Paul had one his electricians, Ryan, respond in about one hour. The problem was pinpointed and the bell was disconnected in about 15 minutes. Ryan was very professional and answered my questions calmly. The price was a little high, but comparable to other companies I contacted; plus, Paul explained the fees while talking to him on the phone before sending someone out. I really do appreciate Paul being able to send someone out so quickly. Best of all, no more buzzing!

I am so pleased to have discovered Paul Richard Electric!  I was getting frustrated after having contacted 5 different electrician companies who promised they would call back, come by to inspect my outside lights not working--never to be heard from again.  I contacted Paul Richard Electric on a Friday.  Paul the owner, a Master Electrician, answered my call, came out the same day to inspect several outside flood lights for our 16-unit condominium complex.  Paul delivered an estimate the next day (Saturday at 5:00 a.m., no less!) and had the work scheduled for the following Thursday.  All repairs were completed at a very competitive price.  Furthermore, Paul identified a potentially dangerous wire inside one of the condos and has offered to repair it for the homeowner with a Senior Citizen discount.  We now will use Paul Richard Electric as our go-to vendor for all of our complex's electricity needs.
