I came across Veteran Electric through a google search for home standby generator installers several years ago. My initial interaction with the office staff was a admittedly a bit bumpy. But, Vince reached out and quickly put my mind at ease. There was no sales pitch, just an honest conversation and solutions to move forward fairly and efficiently.
My first transaction with them was for the purchase and installation of a Cummins 20kw generator for my parents' house. The pricing was more than fair for the professional and clean installation. I was at ease and comfortable with their guys working on their own without supervision. They did what they said they were going to do, and the final result exceeded my expectations.
A few months later, we hired Vince and his team again to install a 2nd generator for my Aunt's house. This one was a bit more challenging due to the stricter requirements of the city. But, Vince handled everything professionally while keeping us well informed of the situation. Despite the unexpected extra time out of their control, the experience and end result far exceeded our expectations.
Later in the year, Veteran Electric helped diagnose an issue on the older generator at my house installed by a contractor that's no longer around. The service was prompt and fair. I was back up and running quickly.
Finally, when we built our new home this year, we hired Veteran Electric again to install a 3rd standby generator as soon as we closed on the house. I was working out of town at the time. Vince and his crew delivered and installed the generator, wired it up, and coordinated with my plumber all without me having to physically be present. Everything went super easy, zero stress, zero regrets, I couldn't be happier.
I will continue using and recommending Veteran Electric whenever possible. Vince Anderson is an honest businessman and master electrician that's thoroughly earned my respect and a customer for life.

We had an awesome experience with Veteran Electric installing my generator. Vince and his crew were very professional and performed excellent quality work. The crew had a great attitude and you could really tell they enjoyed what they do and took pride in doing quality work. The install and the wiring was neatly done. Vince was amazing, such a comical social butterfly - very knowledgeable and ensures that everything is totally up to code before he leaves.

Jeff from Veteran Electric came one day after I contacted them and installed a new outlet behind my TV so I could hang it and hide the wires. He even cut a new hole and created a loop so I could easily pull wires through the wall.
Jeff was friendly, transparent about pricing, and explained the steps he was performing. The cost was very reasonable and the work was quick and professional. I would definitely work with Veteran Electric again in the future.
The team that came out did a great job. Due to my extremely high ceilings the job required 2 electricians to install my ceiling fan. They also changed a light bulb that was also at the same height as the ceiling fan. The original reason we hired them was to change our electrical outlets, in order to hide the TV cords in several rooms (my husband hates seeing hanging cords). The men were on time, professional, didn't make a mess, and didn't even have any dry wall damage. I highly recommend them.
My house got remodeled and I need some lighting fixtures to be installed in our bedrooms and kitchen. I've reached out to a couple of the electricians in the area but they're pretty booked up for the week so I contacted Veteran Electric. They came out pretty fast and got the job done in a couple of days. I'm very pleased with how our bedrooms and kitchen look. They did a great job. Would recommend it to anyone.
This 9 foot chandelier was a nightmare for us. So we hired these guys to do it for us. They were courteous and professional, and punctual. Be sure to explain what kind of chandelier it is that you are scheduling them to install, so that they aren't blind-sided. They assembled the entire fixture, crystals and all. Great job!

I hired Veteran Electric in early Feb 2023 for problem outlets. Scheduling & communication with the office was easy. The visiting technician, Larry, was licensed, seemed very knowledgeable, and was easy to work with. Larry explained clearly the trouble with the outlets and how to fix the issues. He kept me informed of his progress and provided pictures of the before and after. Some outlets had burned out, other outlets I went ahead and upgraded. The costs seemed reasonable. Great service, great price, done on time and on budget. I would definitely use them again. Everything was perfect.
Needed a laundry list of electrical things done: fans installed, Ring garage camera replacing existing old setup, and can lights installed in ceilings for three rooms. Larry came out on time wrote up an estimate and all of the work was completed the following Monday. Effificently, politely, knowledgeably. Super happy and will use them again.
My review is based off of my experience interacting with Vince from Veteran Electric, and while I did not end up using them I would strongly recommend giving them a shot. Vince was very upfront and honest with me about the job I was requesting, and even gave me some tips and a heads up on things to watch out for. In the end I decided to take a completely different route for my EV needs. It sounds like everyone who has used Veteran Electric has had a good experience.

I really can't say enough great things about this company. As a first time home owner they could have really pulled one over on me and I not be any wiser. However they answered my questions, didn't over charge or try to 'find' things outside of my inspection report that needed fixing and actually priced me below what my repair pricer estimated. I've already started recommending them to my friends and family.

Highly professional. Likely get same-day service for a wiring issue on a Friday. It was fixed very quickly. Electrician cleaned up after himself and make sure that the panels were presentable. As a new homeowner this is going to be my permanent go to company for my electrical needs.
So, this review is strictly for them coming out assessing the work and providing a quotation.
They were on time, professional and very courteous. I explained to them my thoughts and ideas for adding additional lines in the bedrooms to support two switches (for the light and fan).
Easy peasy!
I cannot account for the cost as they are the only quote at this time however, with what I saw I'm willing to pay for their work because you get what you pay for.
They were awesome. I received the quote 15 minutes after they left!
We recently used Veteran Electric again, this time to install recessed lighting in a few places. They did an amazing job! Marcus took his time to walk us through the options for where to place the lights. The placement ended up being perfect. They also price matched since I received a cheaper quote from another electrician. I prefer to use Veteran Electric because they're honest, friendly, punctual and overall easy to work with.

Looking for electrician and decided to search Yelp! Veteran Electric came up with 5 stars so I sent them a message and they responded within 30 minutes and said they'd be happy to help. I called them and set up an appointment. They sent a reminder the morning of (7/5) and Vince was in contact that morning to tell me when he would arrive. I had a ceiling fan installed in my man cave several months ago and a couple of months again I had to stop using it as it would spark and pop when I flipped the switch. It was an easy fix, and he showed me the wires that were touching causing the problem. In anticipation of the worst, we bought another fan in case this one was bad. So when he found out no big deal, we asked if he'd put in the new fan in my wife's scrapbooking room. No problem and he had it all done within an hour. All the time taking about his service to our country in the US Army. He even took the old light fixture and box with him to trash it. Great guy, good pricing, and great service!! He even brought up our trash can on the way in our house when he arrived.
If you're looking for an electrician, I would HIGHLY recommend Veteran Electric.

From the beginning, it was so easy to schedule with Veteran Electric, they got back to me within minutes of requesting service and got me scheduled for a convenient time. Larry helped us with some electrical panel repairs we needed for the new house we recently bought. He arrived promptly and got right to work. He noticed that there was an inconsistency that the inspector hadn't noted and that he hadn't seen in his 20 years of electrician work, and took the time to research to make sure that it was safe to have in our home because he said he wouldn't have felt right leaving without knowing that it was safe! All around professional who pays close attention to details, would highly recommend this company to friends, family and obviously strangers!
Vince from Veteran Electric was totally awesome!!! Not pushy. Gave me a free estimate for total home re-wire. While he was here, he fixed a electrical problem that shorted out the front of my home, middle bedroom & caused issue in my rear bedroom. All was done for $125 original diagnostic repair free. Super cheap!!!! Everything is back online. I should have called him earlier!!! Lesson learned. I'm having him back very soon for other issues.

Good job by Jeremy doing some very custom wiring work in my cramped hip style roofed attic. Very little room reaching some areas in tight spaces but everything was completed perfectly and now my circuits are load balanced and I can run my deep fryer and waffle maker without tripping a breaker. Even though an unexpected human resource issue arouse partway through the job Jeremy deftly handled it away from client eyes and without allowing it to escalate to the point it affected the overall job. Great work. I'll be calling them for all my power needs

If you all are ever looking for good honest and reliable people please don't hesitate to call Veteran Electric. I had the best experience with Larry and Deonte. I was having problems with my refrigerator, oven and coffee pot tripping at the main breaker and couldn't figure out why. This was becoming a problem because there were times that I didn't know it tripped and my Refrigerator would be without power for hours. They came in did the diagnostic and repaired everything today as well as recommended a surge protector and without hesitation I got it. Larry was amazing at addressing all of my concerns as well as explaining everything to me so that I understand what the problem was. Both he and Deonte were professional and very knowledgeable and I couldn't have asked for a better company to come out. Thank you again Larry and Deonte for being so professional and efficient. Thank you to the staff in the office who scheduled my appointment they were very courteous, professional and followed up to confirm the day prior as well as calling before they arrived. I will definitely refer this company to my entire subdivision as we have many that have the same issues and I will definitely be a repeat customer for any electrical needs!

Make sure you are aware that they charge for coming out and evaluating the job. Would have been a good question to ask whenthem saying they will come out.
Great customer service from all the team members I spoke with. Once my appointment was set the technician did a great job at installing what I requested.
I recently purchased a townhome, and the inspection report noted some problems with the electric panel. I called around for a few quotes, and while some others just quote a price, Veteran Electric responded with a detailed breakdown of the work they would do. They showed up on time, took time to explain to me in person what they were doing, and fixed additional things not noted in the report. They were meticulous with their work, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again!
Marcus with Veteran Electric was fantastic and would highly recommend. He was on time, walked us through multiple steps of what he was doing, and wanted us to save money where we could. He answered all of our questions and even explained what tools to buy so we could work through smaller tasks next time. Will use Veteran Electric again for our electricity needs.

Vince was just great!
Had lost power in one part of the house upstairs right after my new air conditioning was installed. The air conditioning install person spent hours trying to fix it but was not successful. We reached out to Veteran Electric and within an hour, Vince came by with his apprentice before going into the house, Vince fixed a couple of things in the breaker box and everything working within a few minutes! My husband and I were impressed with his knowledge and recommendations for our home. We will be requesting Veteran Electric service from here on out thanks to Vince!

Needed some repairs after an electrical storm / surge and was able to get service very quickly with a reasonable price
Our main breaker tripped 4 times, the last being around 7pm. I found Veteran Electric here on Yelp with high ratings and gave them a call.
Gentleman I spoke to was very nice and even warned me that an after hours service charge would be extra. (Has to do it as we have a newborn at home).
He arrived at the house promptly and was courteous and friendly. He was very thorough and explained to me the various things he was checking. Luckily it ended up just being a loose connection which he tightened up, but he told me about other problems to look for and said he would come right back out if the problem persisted through the evening. It didn't and all is working just fine now.

Came out quick to work on some wiring, technician was very nice even tried to show me how to do some of the work myself to save some money but decided to let him do the work this time. Have used them twice at two separate homes and would use again if the need arises.
Very professional from estimate to work complete. Had them install whole home surge protector, inlet for generator hookup and interlock (metal plate kit).
I bought a cable and then ran the whole house off my generator...perfect. Recommended and the veteran discount didn't hurt :)

I contacted Veteran Electric to install a ceiling fan in our kitchen in an existing light socket and they did an outstanding job. First of all, the communication from the company is excellent. Next, the technician Vince, was amazing. He was on time, professional, and had a very clean work area. He flawlessly installed the fan in no time at all and it was not an easy project. He walked us through the project step by step before he even began to make sure that we had all of the right parts and pieces and this really ensured that the job was to our satisfaction and that it would go smoothly.
We are really satisfied and would happily choose Veteran Electric again for any electrical project.
Vince was great! He got the job done and went above and beyond when he didn't have too. He was easy going, not pushy and I didn't feel rushed. I felt comfortable asking him questions. These are qualities that are very important when any professional does work on your house!

Vince was prompt, courteous and explained everything he was doing. Basically, husband decided to change out old outlet plugs for new ones. Came across one that had so many wires and we decided to mimic the setup but it did not work. In fact, it knocked out the power to one whole side of my living room and kitchen. Had to move my appliances for a bit and sit in the dark while watching tv. Finally decided to call a professional and the Electrician gods sent us Vince from Veteran Electric.
Vince saved us--he came in and assessed the issue, checked each non-working outlet one by one and after fixing the main one that led to knocking out the others, he went to task to rewiring them correctly. We asked him several questions and he was knowledgeable and straightforward. We also asked for a quote with a potential future job and he was able to discuss and provide an estimate.

Came out quickly to install a generator interlock kit and outlet. Very quick response too.
Prompt in response and felt like they were very honest. We had another company say we needed to replace our whole panel and quoted us over $3k. Veteran came out and reviewed it with us and said it was a quality panel and they didn't believe it needed to be replaced at all. Haven't had any issues with our panel and Veteran took care of our thermostat problem quickly. Would recommend and would use them again!

ExcelLent service and very responsive. Marcus came and looked at the job, explained what needed to be done and offered advice on fan selection. I purchased the fan and scheduling was easy for the install. On time, professional, and very helpful.
I hired Veteran Electric initially to complete a few minor things noted in our inspection report after we bought a new house. It was a little over $1,000 to do the work. They came out and one of the employees was in training. It took them a long time to do everything and the explanations of other issues always seemed to leave us with a huge question mark as to whether it was really an issue or not. One issue that clearly needed to be addressed related to an exterior outlet that mysteriously had a charge to the ground wire. After talking with the electrician, we assumed it was going to be a huge undertaking to identify the issue and fix it. So since we are still under our home warranty, I figured I'd give them a shot. That electrician had the issue identified in fifteen minutes (improperly installed timer switch on the same circuit). There were other open issues that Veteran came back out for and led them on a rabbit chase that never seemed to bring back any positive news. So they gave us a quote to re wire the whole circuit. We got someone else out here and issues identified and resolved. So three stars because I think they are good per the other reviews but we just had a so so experience with them. Plus they seem to be very busy and their response time is not great if you need something quick.
Vince and his team are by far the best electricians that I've ever had.
I needed a custom electrical setup for Cryptocurrency mining, and he did it all from beginning to the end - from conception, design, to implementation.
The final result was state of the art, an electrical masterpiece. If you're a Cryptocurrency miner in Houston, hire Vince and his team - you will not regret it. I have spent months looking for a competent electrician, and I believe I've found the one.
These guys really helped me out. My meter can was arching and they came out the same day and fixed it. On a Saturday.
Not only that, he helped me troubleshoot it over the phone before he came out so he wouldn't have to charge me for something he might not have had to come out for.
Answered all my questions thoroughly (I ask a lot of questions) and did a great job on the repair.
I highly recommend this company. It's hard to find this kind of customer service these days.

I hired Veteran Electric to do a pretty big job. I needed electric run from the panel on one side of the house, through the attic, and out the other side of the house to a newly constructed shed. Included was a 220 line that will support a future pool. William was the electrician who came out to give me an estimate, and ultimately performed the work. He installed a separate fuse box in the shed, giving individual breakers to the lights, all the outlets, and the three 30 amp lines needed for the pool. The work he did looks great. Outlets are at a perfect height, and the light switch is exactly where he was asked to place it. He also went out of his way to frame an area for the breaker box to place it in a space I requested. He cleaned up everything, leaving the shed a bit cleaner than he found it. In my opinion, William is an excellent electrician who respects your time, home, and strives for excellence. I'd recommend this company to anyone looking for a job done well.

Great service, I needed quite a bit of work done on a home I purchased. I called for a quote, Vince came out and looked at the work I needed serviced, he read the inspection report I had for the home, told me what needed to be fixed and what did not need to be fixed. Vince was able to get me scheduled quickly. All of his team were very professional and easy to work with. I have used Veteran Electric in the past and will continue to use them.

They do not honor their estimate. I wouldn't trust them to take out my trash. I asked for an estimate to install the outlet in my living room and recessed light on the ceiling. A technician came out and verbally quote us $225 for the outlet and about $225 for each light (which I have to provide the lights myself). I told the technician that I do the light later and I really need the outlet install. He said that he will give me a quote for all anyway with itemization on each job anyway so I can decide. The technician came back 5 minutes later and said that his boss told him the outlet will be $300 instead of $225. I told him that is fine and call to setup for the job. Then I was told the technician who quote the job went on vacation and if another technician can perform the job. I told them sure. Then the week before they suppose to come. I got a call stating that the technician is no longer with them and that they need to come back to re-estimate. I didn't understand why the re-estimate but they said they need to make sure that the new technician know the job. Lies and lies. Today, they arrive and now give an estimate for $465 for the same outlet job. So from $225 to $300 and then to $465. They then gave the excuse that it was special pricing because of multiple job. They knew that I need the outlet this week and and play this game with me. When I ask who fault it is that their technician quote the initial price, they couldn't even admitted their own mistake. It's my fault that you hire crappy people or it is you are so crappy that the technician you hire want to screw you over? Now the CEO send me an email saying that he is sorry and he will retract the estimate. No soup for you from an electrician. You are not the only electrician around here buddy. Keep doing this and you file for bankruptcy real soon. So dishonest, save your time and money and find someone else.

Needed a basic fan installation, these gents came out and completed at a very fair price in about 40 minutes. I'm looking at them to install a permanent generator as well additional work as needed.
Doc did a great job. Came out early and worked around my schedule. Fixed every electrical issue in the house. Price was reasonable and service was top notch.
We are rebuilding after Harvey and Veteran Electric came as a referral. Johnathan has been great to work with, although we have worked with several others from Veteran also, they all are professional and responsive. I like the fact that the company will give the electricians some flexibility on billing the customer. Which is why we keep using them. They are honest in their work, their advice and their billing. In return, I would recommend them.
Excellent service! Called for a jacuzzi bath tub malfunction. Marcus was dispatched to our house the next day and found the issue very quickly. Glad I found Veteran Electric. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
These guys are quick to respond, professional, honest, and genuinely want to help you with whatever you need. We will be calling on Veteran Electric for all of our electrician needs from now on.

was not too thrilled with my experience. All of the work got completed and is fully functional, but the attention to detail was missing. The crew was really nice, but most of the tasks felt like they were left at 90% completion.
The new outlets that were installed were missing the faceplates (they had to come the next day to install those). There was drywall dust where ever the new outlets were put in (which was never cleaned up).
They rewired things in the attic, and rather than cleaning up/getting rid of the dead wires they were just left up there. The breaker box in the attic that powers our AC was left off (although I should probably know to check that) we thought the AC was broken and called out a specialist.
The quote we got from them matched another electricians, but now I can't help but wonder if the other company would have paid attention to the details---so that i'm not left having to clean the house and follow-up on their work.
This company I found on Yelp and chose them because Veteran was in the name. They were prompt in scheduling my appointment. And they dispatched the best electrician in Houston / Spring / Porter area hands down. Marcus H. was extremely professional, knowledgeable and determined to figure out what my electrical problem was. Not only did he figure it out it made the necessary adjustments, diagnostic troubleshooting, and just like that we have power again!!! I am super pleased with this company and their technicians. I will recommend them to everyone I know!
Veteran Electric went above and beyond our expectations. They were on-time, friendly, and they got the job done exactly how we wanted it. They even made a trip out to the hardware store (no extra cost) to purchase a last minute change that we wanted. Their price was competitive against other local companies (not the lowest, but lower than most). Our final price ended up being much less than the quote due to the fact that there was some work that wasn't necessary once they got a look behind the walls. They could've charged the quoted price and I wouldn't have known any different. It's nice to find a honest company that does such great work and has awesome customer service. This will be my go to electrical company from now on and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work.

Vince and Will did a great job replacing our ugly kitchen fluorescent lights with pendant lights over the island. They also installed 2 can lights for better task lighting. I couldn't be happier with the final result. They were very professional throughout the whole process, from initial quote for service to the end product. I will definitely use them again for any electrical needs.

Doc was thorough and checked everything out after a surge threw out power in the kitchen. He explained how this could be avoided in the future Would definitely use again!
Bill came in this morning to my store to replace half of the light fixtures. He was kind, courteous and professional. Now all the lights fixture are fixed and my store is ready for customers. Bright and shiny...... I highly recommend him for any electrical work for home or commercial need.
I can't say enough about how amazing Marcus was! He came out to our house twice and was always prompt, professional, congenial, and incredibly helpful! Marcus will be our go-to electrician from now on!
This company is fantastic - from the first call to them taking off their booties as they exited my front door, I am beyond impressed. I have never 'needed' electrical work in my home and found this company because of filing a claim with my home warranty (OneGuard). My water closet exhaust fan went out - the technicians, Jared and Mark, quickly checked a few items to diagnose the problem then quickly solved it. They could have told me something completely different and had to get another trip out to my house for another problem, but they didn't! **and I would NEVER have known any better. Honesty and integrity - two words that are some we should all live by - and I believe that Veterans Electric does just that. They were incredibly friendly as well. Oh - and I when I found out the owner is retired, former Army, I was very happy to support them with my business.
They did an excellent job setting up our house for a generator. They are competitively priced and trustworthy. We will definately use them again.
Vince and his entire crew were amazing to work with. We had several issues that needed addressing, many that other electricians wouldn't touch. They were able to troubleshoot the problem (relocating our main electrical panel and meter) and then wired our new addition. They were extremely professional and timely and we can't wait to work with them in the future!

Didn't find any problems with my outlets. They think I fixed it when I was checking for loose wires. Great tech just would be nice if the company didn't charge you the full $125.00 service call if they don't have to do anything.

I am selling my house, and the inspection report said I needed to replace a 50 amp breaker for the ac condenser. I called Veteran Electric since I had them out previously and was very happy with the service and price.
This time, Vince, the owner/electrician came out and said the 50amp breaker was fine and it was allowed by the code. He said however, there were many multiple neutrals on the same connection - my paraphrasing. He said that it was not up to code and could be dangerous. Even though the breaker is flipped, the wires could still be hot. I had experienced that before when I tested the wires after flipping breaker so I knew he was right. Even though as seller, I did not have to fix this situation since it was not included on the inspection report, I am a man of honor and I felt I should do the right thing and provide the buyer with a safe and well maintained home. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and Vince is truly one of the good ones, Vince is a war veteran, and an outstanding man of integrity, honor, and overall great guy. He definitely knew what he was doing, and I trusted him completely. I would not hesitate to have him do additional work and would be very confident recommending him and his company to my friends and neighbors. btw he changed out the breaker to a 40 amp for free just to help me out and appease the buyer/inspection report. I was blown away by his generosity as so many contractors seem to try to squeeze you for every dollar they can get. Occasionally you do find one of good guys out there, and I personally really want those really good ones to succeed, I am confident that Vince will do only what needs to be done at good price. And after talking with him for well over an hour, and what he has done to make things right - really beyond what any reasonable person would, I truly believe that if there ever is an issue, I am confident he will move mountains to make it right.

Used Veteran Electric for the first time today and was very happy with the service I received. The Reps were friendly, knowledgeable and on task. Cost for service was very fair. Additionally, they offer Veteran and Senior Citizen discounts. Highly recommended!
Vince fixed our electric plug so I no longer have to trek half a mile around my kitchen (jk) with the coffee pot. He was fast, gracious and reasonably priced and heck... who wouldnt want to employ a Vet ?

Veteran Electric and Vince delivered services on time, at a great cost, quickly with fantastic customer service. They gave me a free quote which is rare for electricians and most importantly are honest guys. Several things I had asked them about adding to my home they suggested not to bother with since it would be a waste of money. Exceptional overall experience! Will definitely use them again and continue to recommend to friends and family
We had an extremely positive experience with Veteran Electric. I wasn't sure who to call for some lighting issues I was having at my rental house and my mother's house. After calling around, I booked veteran electric because of their professionalism when asserting questions and their pricing. Marcus was the technician that went to my mother's house first and changed out a fluorescent light with an LED then gave her quotes for several other things she's having issues with, all of which were very reasonable, he was professional, timely and courteous (called her when he was on his way)- all for $125. He then moved over to my rental house where he met with my tenant and called me once he was finished changing out a part on the light (which only took a few minutes) and sent me pictures showing the light was working again - all for $125. Overall a very positive experience and will definitely be using them again.

Request for onsite work to replace our outdoor 2 AC outlets to 4 AC outlets. Originally want $200 for the work. Materials and parts about $20 and 30 minutes of work for $180. Two other AC vendors estimated $100 but were flaky with their schedule so I had to settle for them. The work was ok, he was not happy doing it.
Bill was one of the friendliest guys I've ever met. He works quickly and quietly, I almost forgot he was here. It was a lot of work but Bill got it done clean and efficiently. I definitely recommend their services.
We are real estate investors and we've worked with dozens of contractors and electricians. By comparison Veteran Electric procures unbeatable service. Vincent was highly informative, forthcoming and punctual. He is wonderful to work with and very sensitive to our company's unique needs as investors. Even long after the job was complete he was very willing to return to the site to ensure that everything was functioning accordingly. I would definitely recommend Veteran Electric to anyone.
