Best Thermostat Repair in Boston MA
Initially terrible but problem somewhat resolved.....
I had a sump pump issue and explained carefully over the phone where the problem is. I was told it would take 3-5 hours for them to repair. The guy shows up and refuses the work and says it's for a landscaping company. Even though I had carefully explained over the phone what the situation was, he was disrespectful and kept muttering about work order. I should have given up right then but decided to have him look at a leak in the shower. His response is that it appeared someone had worked on it already and so he could no longer do so. At this point, we had to give up and ask him to leave and he starts demanding money for having done nothing or even trying.
Afterwards, the owner realized that he has a terrible employee and sent a written apology with a gift card. This was very nice and professional at the other end of the spectrum. The owner clearly cares that things are fair and done well. Unfortunately, there are sometimes problematic employees and I assume this is why the Yelp ratings are either 1 star or 5 stars. To be fair, I'll take the average given that the owner owned up to the problem.

When our water heater broke, they responded quickly and came on the same day. Welter was super nice and explained everything what was wrong and how to fix if the same thing happens next time. He never pushed / forced to buy or replace anything and gave us some options. We had a great experience with them and definitely we will use them whenever we need! Highly highly recommend!!!

I really enjoyed working with Green Energy Mechanical for our furnace replacement. It is clear that Jonathan knows a lot about the industry and gave a thorough outline of the options. We had a great experience with them.

We have since used Steve/Mike and the Belanger & Sons team for 3 or 4 other plumbing projects at the house, and continue to get incredible service at incredible prices. Most recently, our water heater failed and started leaking...Steve answered the phone at 8pm on a Thursday night and was here with a tank the next day and completed the work. Super responsive, great communication, and great work. So happy we found a trustworthy/responsive plumber.

Just had one of Dan's employees out who simply swapped out my bathroom faucet and drain with a new one. The old one was leaking. I had a few plumbers tell me it was a very complicated and expensive job because I live in a building, but Dan's employee was able to do it without any issue, so I guess the other plumbers were trying to rip me off and sell me stuff I didn't need. Price was right and work was quick and efficient. Absolutely would hire Dan again. Great job. Thanks!

Dello Russo was recommended to me by my plumber for an emergency hot water heater replacement. Not only did the hot water heater fail, of course at night, but the main water valve to the home failed as well. I called at 5:30AM in a fit of desperation and Andrew could not have been more understanding and courteous. We should all be this pleasant when we're awoken at 5:30AM! Andrew and Dan were at my house as promised and immediately got to work. Expert advice on the replacement unit as well as how to fix the main water valve. They took care of everything. Within hours everything was resolved. I couldn't be happier and they made the best of a bad situation. Very happy with the installation configuration especially compared with the previous set up. You know you got great service when your basement is cleaner when the plumber leaves than when he arrived.

Ken and his team did a great job with our gas conversion. He was always clear with the timelines and what was happening next, had me copied on a receipt for one of the pieces of equipment, and didn't add in any extra charges. One of the vendors was also getting to our house very early in the morning and he emailed me to give me a heads up just in case. Definitely did a very thorough job and made the whole process so much easier for us (it was our first home project), which is more than I can say for the gas company. We will definitely use him and his team for any more plumbing needs!

I used TJ Sillari for the first time. I am very content about the services I received from them. They are responsive and extremely knowledgeable. They showed up on time and pointed to the root cause of the the issue I had with my steam boiler and fixed it. They have my business and I recommend them without reservation!

Josh and Mike replaced our bathtub drain assembly last Friday afternoon. They are very professional and also so easy/nice to talk to. I especially appreciate that they took the time to wear plastic booties while accessing the living area on the main floor. Recommended to my neighbor about their service already and will definitely call them back should we need services on future HVAC and plumbing needs.

Found this company as recommendation on Facebook group. Arrival window scheduled 8-11-. Carol @ company called the day to confirm this time. No one ever called saying there was a change. I had to call call after 11a to find out that they changed the window to 10a-1p when no one will be home after noon.
They charged $654 to install a dishwasher. That's what the dishwasher cost. Avoid this company.

Please stay away from this unethical company. The manager Rick was not only rude but also lack of basic ethics. This morning, when he called to ask me for payment for a 3-hour job --replacing a transformer for the heating system in my rental property. I told him please send me the invoice and I will mail you a check. He replied if I let everyone do that, I would go out of business. When I asked him to explain what was done and please at least show me a job order and a photo of the replaced/bad parts and I would give you my credit card info. Then I left home and started driving to the site. While I was still driving and wasn't able to answer his call, he left me a voice message saying if you don't call me back I will ask the plumber to put back the old parts and leave you with no heat. And within less than 30 minutes I parked my car and only found out that they already removed the parts and left my tenants in the cold. What kind of company would treat customers like this? This is absolutely unethical. Before they showed up this morning, we at least had some heat, but now the heating system does not even turn on. I don't know what they did and why it took them 3 hours the first time and only a few seconds the second time. First they wanted to overcharge you, and when that failed they just did more damage to your system and more inconvenience to people. What bad news!.......Soon after that I called another plumbing company, Winters Plumbing and Heating. They sent a technician over and inspected the heat pump, and concluded that the system was messed up and beyond repair.

After having a well-known national company look at my furnace that wasn't heating correctly, I was told after 5 minutes of diagnostics that it was unsalvageable and I would immediately need a new furnace and AC unit. I connected with Joe at Boston Standard for a second opinion, we talked about what could be the problem and he promptly sent out one of his technicians. Caesar showed up within 15 minutes, took a look at the furnace and was able to fix it with a simple drain of a condensate hose. He then walked me, in plain terms, what the issue was and what to keep an eye on going forward. Both Caesar and Joe were incredibly prompt, courteous, and professional. They have a customer for life in me, they saved me thousands and thousands of dollars. I would recommend Boston Standard to anyone and everyone with HVAC issues in Boston

This company has cancelled our burner service appointments THREE times without notice. We have lost three vacation days off of work due to their incompetence and disregard. Do NOT waste your time or money waiting around for these guys.

They charge $200 for replacing fuse inside Air handler which costs 35 cents.
They charge $450 for contactor replacement, which costs $35 online and with labor, to the extreme should not cost more than $150 dollars. The Booster is charged for $155 which comes from Home Depot in just $11. The capacitor replacement is charged by them for $350, which is usually a $10 to $25 or less device. They are super expensive and they make sure once they visit you they charge you $1000 for something which any outside licenced technician from Home Adviser or so would be charging you less than $300 or $400. To add they will tell you that default warranty on the parts they are putting in is only 90 days so buy $250 warranty from them which will be good for 2 years. They should know that all new parts should come with a year or two or 5 year warranty by default. In summary, they will rip you off on prices. But there customer care is very soft spoken and professional.

Pann Home Services does not keep their promises....always bids 3X what other companies bids, and generally does poor work. I purchased their preferred monthly plan and they still do lousy work and charge you money every month. Even when you try to cancel they put road blocks in your way....please fax...please e-mail, I cannot do it by phone. A TRULY TERRIBLE COMPANY!

I called for HVAC repair at the start of the cold weather and they said someone would be out later that day -- even giving me a time window in which to expect them. They then canceled last-minute during that window, leaving me without heat after I had already turned down other companies due to my exising appointment with them. The best they would offer as a rescheduled appointment was not for another month.
I took a chance on a company without any reviews and this is the result. Call them at your own risk.
