Have been working with Blue Bear for a couple of years - it is one FANTASTIC company!!  Any person I've dealt with, from administration to repair, have always been courteous and professional.  They go out of their way to find and explain to you the best option for the project at hand and answer any questions you have.  Had the pleasure of working with David M. for a second time recently - very knowledgeable about any plumbing issue and explains in detail work to be performed.  Thank you David!!

First appointment I had to reschedule after waiting all day for them.  Second appointment Chris the Plumber and Mike the HVAC technician were both excellent.
Unfortunately their prices are outrageously sky high.  I felt I was over charged.  If money is not an object hire them.  I will not use them again.

I had a toilet leak that was leaking on the ceiling of the apartment below me. The wax seal had to be replaced.. simple job . They sent a subcontractor Red Rhino Rooter that charged me $509 for a job done in an hour. Ridiculous and unethical. I would discourage anyone from using them.

Ridiculously expensive prices with terrible customer service.  They actually hung up on me when I disagreed with what they were saying.

I've used Blue Bear in the past so called them last week because of a gas smell from our stove. A plumber came and closed the gas valve to our stove.
They do not work on appliances so recommended that we replace the stove.
Once I got a confirmation date on when the new stove would be delivered I called Blue Bear to inform them the delivery date, and set up an appointment for the following day, Friday 5/12/23. They never showed up to connect the new stove. The Blue Bear plumber closed the valve over two weeks ago, the appointment was made 5 days ago. My wife called them at 3:55 P.M. today and was told we would have to wait until Monday.

Our sincere appreciation to Blue Bear for the work you provided in our new HVAC system.  Like many on Cape Cod, we have a crawl space for our heating system - this is no small feat and Blue Bear crew worked diligently all day to be sure it was perfectly installed.   We are incredibly pleased with our new system in our now year round home.  We confidently recommend Blue Bear to our neighbors, friends and those of you who may be reading this review.

Was very disappointed to find out the plumber was unable to fix our issue with our stove gas leak. I told the initial rep that this was for the stove but they did not advise that the plumber wouldn't be able to assist with appliances.

Plumber was very upfront and told me he would not be able to assist with appliances as soon as I told him the issue. To no fault of the actual plumber, he was professional, on time and communicated well.

Unfortunately, I paid $125 for nothing.

A Blue Bear technician arrived at my home to service our Navien water heater. Within thirty minutes, this technician told me our heat exchanger was completely corroded and recommended I purchase a new unit with a filter at an estimated cost of $8300. You can imagine how surprised I was to hear this news given our home is only six years old, therefore the heater itself is only six years old and still under warranty. Further, it had been flushed and serviced in July for routine maintenance.

I went ahead and called a different, well recommended plumbing company for a second opinion. The technician showed me the heat exchanger and I too saw there was no corrosion. This technician is trained annually by Navien in New Jersey, and found the problem to actually be an issue with the air pressure sensor. He worked with Navien to fix the issue and replace the air pressure sensor at a cost of $75 which is $8225 cheaper than BB's recommended solution.

Not only did Blue Bear incorrectly diagnose our issue, but instead of working with Navien, they tried to take advantage of me by recommending an $8300 solution which is three times as much as a new unit at Lowes or Home Depot costs. Further, when I spoke to the office manager, she told me that 6 years was a reasonable age to replace a water heater even though Blue Bear's own website states Tankless units often last for up to 20 years.

BB is just out to make money, not to actually help solve your issue.

Short version:
Oh hell no. Got it done two days later for 1/3 the cost.

Pros: They came out pretty quickly while other plumbers never returned texts or calls. The plumber was a nice guy and wholly embarrassed at what they are charging.

Cons:
Waaaaaaaaaaay to expensive. We had a new kitchen drain install quoted at above $1,500+ once they arrived and took a look. Mind you - the kitchen drain and faucet install only, the new sink was already hung and the faucet parts already paid for and on the counter, just needed it hooked up.
Poor kid was sheepish in showing us the estimate, repeatedly saying don't shoot the messenger.

Scott was very professional, knowledgeable and kept us informed about all the work that was needed in our old house.  Scott has a great work ethic and he was never demanding with his suggestions although we had all the work done anyway because ultimately it was going to have to be done sooner or later.

I would highly recommend Blue Bear.  We just signed to have Blue Bear as our plumbing company.  Very happy with the work that was completed.

Absolutely the best customer service and technical product team that we've ever worked with!  We installed two heat pump units and four digital thermostats - and it had to be compatible with our existing hydro-air system.  These guys were AMAZING - the work they did was absolutely professional.  And they were nice to work with, they kept my home spotless, they helped me learn how to program the units, and followed up when we had questions.  Blue Bear is exceptional.

I called them to run a gas line for my fireplace gas logs. I asked for a ballpark estimate, they said can't do until we see the home, fair enough. (BTW they charge $130 just to come out.)
They looked at the home boiler and fireplace and provided an estimate, which they said was a flat rate (if you have flat prices, why didn't you tell me the price when I asked for a ballpark estimate?!).
Anyway the estimate was over $2200!

I laughed and told him to leave. I called another plumber and had it done for $700.

Look, I understand prices can vary but 3x! They charge you the $130 because they know you likely won't select them.

I'm thinking of filing with the  BBB because this really bothered me.

My mother, a senior citizen, used this company when her toilet would not flush properly. After all was said and done, she had a new toilet, but the bill was over $2000. First, they sent two separate people. The first one used an auger to fix the clog and it cost $625! The second said that the toilet needed to be replaced and charged over $1300! I called and expressed my disappointment at their pricing and got nowhere. This company is a scam.

They'd have to plan extensively to run something this poorly. They just can't be this bad without working at it. Were supposed to be here before- no show. Next time, no show. Today I had an appointment - no show. I called and spoke with Jason who said he doesn't have it on his calendar. I told him I set the appointment in April after speaking with Samantha and Carol. Specifically, I set the appointment after getting their notice that they would no longer provide maintenance after May 30th. Even if we had a Bluebear Membership. Next, we were also notified the price of the service they would no longer provide year round was going up substantially. Jason said he would have Carol call me- she never did. Last straw! Their prices are way to high and their service way to poor. I think they are really struggling and quite honestly folks around this town are getting the same word- buyer beware! I'm done with them and the BlueHair Membership.

Came home and found no hot water.  Called these guys and got immediate response.  They came next day surveyed the problem and gave me a couple of options. We agreed on one and a couple of hours later it was done. While there they also did a maintenance check on my entire plumbing system.  Clear, direct, professional! My initial reaction is

Called for slow drain services. I received an immediate call back and was scheduled for a convenient time for me.
The technician (Charlie) showed up in the window that they provided for me.
He did a complete assessment and then provided me options. He was able to
fix the drain problem in the tub while he was here. He also answered some other questions I had. Super nice and easy to deal with! Highly recommend!

I called blue bear to unclog my kitchen sink after months of the water backing up. A plumbing tech, David Mejia, was at my house within an hour and spent much longer than anticipated clearing a clog on the edge of my septic tank. The plumbing in my house was done by the previous owner and simply put is a mess. David was professional, polite, and did a great job. Highly recommend this company.

In January of 2021, our sewage pump failed. Blue Bear replaced it with a new one and convinced us to sign up for their membership to save on that and future repairs.

In June of 2021, the new pump stopped working. Blue Bear came to inspect it. The two plumbers told us that we needed 1) our pump cleaned 2) a new shutoff for our toilet 3) they would have to rebuild our toilet 4) two new shutoffs for our bathroom sink 5) a new faucet 6) a new hot water shutoff in our basement. This included four quotes, which ranged into the thousands of dollars, which included over $800 for just the three valves.

After my wife and I asked them lots of clarifying questions, we determined that rebuilding our toilet simply meant replacing the fill valve, which costs $14 at any hardware store. I know nothing about plumbing, but I have replaced three of those valves myself over the years without any difficulty. They wanted upwards of $400 for this.

When I asked them whether we could upgrade to a pump with a better impeller, they insisted multiple times that our pump does not have an impeller and we were better off without one. I asked them for the model number of our pump, and then I googled it. It does in fact have an impeller.

We eventually asked them to simply clean the pump and replace the hot water shutoff in our basement. These tasks cost us over $500.

After they left, we replaced the toilet shutoff ourselves. We intended to replace the sink shutoffs too, but when we tried them, we found no issues with them. They continue to function just fine to this day.

Given their ignorance and continued attempts to unnecessarily up-charge us, we will never use Blue Bear again. We will instead find an honest, knowledgeable plumber.

I first privately messaged the company via Facebook and no response 13 days later.
This is what I sent:
Just wanted to let you know that we had Caleb do some work related to a kitchen remodel and we paid $5000 for services, we never received an itemized bill for services and were very pressured at the end when we opted not to install a Water Pressure regulator for an additional $1500. Overall I am not upset at the work he did, but I never got to see details of what we paid for and. Felt like everything extra he did was another $1500 every time.

It was that last up sell that seemed suspicious and when I checked online $1500 for work was double the high rate for installation.   I knew your services were a premium but when we previously worked with Connor we felt he was fair and knowledgeable.

This time we felt like we were overcharged and then it felt sleepy when he was suggesting to my partner that your company would not warranty the service they did if we didn't do the upgrade.

I am telling you this not because I somehow expect we will get a discount for what the work should be, even though I believe that would be the right thing to do, but because you should know what employees are doing that hurt your reputation.
At this point I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending your services and that doesn't feel good.   I messaged privately because I believe that if something like this happened in my business I would want to know so I could do something about it and have a chance to retain a customer.   Good night

Never heard back, although someone did give it a thumbs down and then removed it a few minutes later.

When the owner commented on a public post on a local board, I posted that I didn't recommend them and in my research I found they pay their young plumbers commissions which means they are incentivized to upsell and overcharge. And by the way I was able to get the water pressure valve installed for less than half and that plumber pointed out that when Blue Bear Installed the water filtration system, they should have tested the water and shown me the results. [Edit: I thought I had seen a job posting mentioning commissions, but I misread something and wanted to correct that.]

Don't recommend them at all and it is obvious the Owner isn't concerned about his customers, just getting more money.

And the $5000 was for water disconnect/reconnect, attaching a garbage disposal, adding a whole house filtration unit (a $54 Watt Whole house filter) and adding some silicone sealant to the edges of two sinks in the bathroom.

[Update: Spoke to the Chris Murphy, Owner, which the number below is not his direct line by the way.  He said he will email me an itemized invoice since I never received one.  He said the work done was valid, although he quoted me that in the invoice the cost to install the garbage disposal was below $500 not the $1500 we were told by Caleb, but this discrepancy didn't seem to faze him.  In the end he agreed to credit back $99 which he said was the fee they charge to come out.  I explained while I disagreed that was enough to bring back my trust as a customer, I respected that he was at least willing to credit back some amount.
I wish them best and do hope that they are able to work on being transparent and not pressuring people, but right now I still stand behind my review as I am not left feeling confident they would charge the same to every customer.]

[Update 1 day after call, I still have not received an emailed invoice as promised.]

I used Blue Bear to look at a few pipes as part of my home inspection due diligence. They are on the pricier side of services so if you are on a budget, it's probably not your best option. With that said, you get the service you pay for. Their customer service was easy to work with to get service scheduled. I got confirmation emails and a text that my plumber was on the way. The plumber was pleasant and took his time to explain everything. I received a video of his pipe inspection along with a full write up for my records. Definitely a lot of extras that you don't get working with a normal plumber.

constantly felt like I was being sold. prices are consistently higher than other local plumbers. signed up for their blue care program thinking it would help...it didn't. they also force you to sign up for the care program for at least a year. my guess is their plumbers are incentivized/compensated on the number of services sold. steer clear.

I called Blue Bear because the AC compressor at my home would not shut off. They answered the phone right away and gave me an appointment date a few weeks out. This past Friday, Tom came to my home to address the problem. He was extremely professional and informed every time he looked at something and told me what the next steps would be. Fixed the issue quickly and explained to me what had gone wrong originally and how to maintain the unit going forward. Would definitely recommend this company!

In remodeling a bathroom in the fall last year, I hired Blue Bear Plumbing to remove a forced hot water radiator, remove a wall-mounted sink, bring PEX water lines up for a new sink on a different wall, and bring laundry up from the basement. Each of these jobs was performed incorrectly.

1. In removing the radiator, the technician used the wrong hardware to cap off the water pipes. When it got cold a few weeks later and I turned the heat on, nothing happened (because he never turned the water from the furnace back on, meaning he also never tested his work). Naturally I assumed this was a furnace issue and had the oil company come out. They turned the furnace water line back on and immediately water gushed out of the radiator pipe in the bathroom floor and caused water damage to the kitchen ceiling below. Fortunately I had not finished the bathroom flooring yet because if I had we would have needed to rip it up to address the problem.
I also had to argue with the manager to reimburse me for the fee of having the oil company come out, who was only happy to oblige when I finally had to bargain with him that I would not raise the issue of addressing the water damage this caused. So I got the reimbursement but then had to repair the water damage myself. The manager was also unapologetic and made excuses for this incompetence.

2. When they removed the sink from the wall they left the PVC drain pipe protruding out of the wall. When I called the technician to come back he had an attitude and snapped, You didn't ask me to do that, when in fact I had, but it should have been assumed anyway. Who wants to leave a PVC pipe sticking out of a wall? When he came back, he had a cold and unapologetic attitude.

3. In installing the electric dryer exhaust duct, they used the wrong duct type and also ran an excessively long route with multiple 90 degree angles in the duct through the attic to exit the side of the house. Fortunately, when MassSave came out for insulation, they identified and corrected this at no cost but told me that the duct was essentially ineffective the way BBP did it.

4.  They installed drop ear elbow bath/shower fittings at the end of the hot and cold PEX pipes for the new sink with no shut-off valves. Fed up with BBP at this point, I had a different plumbing company come to install shut-off valves but to do so without jerry rigging the setup, they needed to cut the wall back open to change out the shower fittings with proper fittings and replace and add PEX, a $400 expense.
UPDATE: Blue Bear did end up reimbursing the cost to correct the water lines to the vanity but not without a fight with the again unapologetic manager.

I called to have my sillcock repaired the pipe burst at the end of the spigot. Basically a 3 inch piece of pipe needed to be replaced it is maybe an hour of work if that and the quote was over $1200. Pretty much a whole morgage payment for a 3 inch piece of copper. Totally ridiculous pricing for a simple repair

If I could give zero stars I would. Although responsive to my call and my plea that I needed a plumber to replace the excursion pump out in my lower level bath. Common occurrence on these type of pumps.. the  third time in my 33 year ownership. Last time I had it replaced it cost $600. Blue Bear plumbing estimate to fix the problem included  a new toilet , shut off valve, a whole new housing system and pump and some other pipe...... Blue Bear estimate over $5000. The toilet alone they were charging $1500. Did I mention this is a basement bathroom/laundry room? When I questioned the technicians price ... I don't need to remodel my downstairs bathroom ... he became very rude tried to scare tactic me into thinking I needed all these upgrades... He became very condescending and I knew then I did not want to bear in my house or doing any work on any plumbing at any time. I called my local plumber who was just as responsive came the next day his charge to actually fix the problem I asked him to fix was under $1000. Buyer beware big time!

On a Friday night @ 7:00 P.M. I noticed my brother in law washing the kitchen floor he lives with us I said that's good also noticed it was a lot of water on the floor we had a leak somewhere the washing machine was on but all around the machine it was dry... I got out the wet/dry vac. starting sucking up the water not sure where the leak was coming from it wasn't a heavy leak but the water was still coming I could finally hear the leak coming from the inside of the wall under the kitchen sink I called Blue Bear Services @ 7:30 P.M. I spoke with Eric Kinch told him the situation he said he would be out there in @ 3,4 hours nothing I could do but wait he mentioned because it was after hours and considered somewhat of an emergency he needed $300.00 over the phone before he arrived so that was done he arrived @ 11:30 P.M. he said he had to tear apart some of the wall under the kitchen sink I said do what you have to do it was a very small pinhole in a 12 inch copper pipe but it was leaking for awhile I held a big floodlight on the broken pipe so he could remove it and replace with a new one the job took 25 minutes I gave him a cold spring water and some cupcakes after he left  the only thing that was a little shocking was for 25 minutes of work it was $366.00 on top of the $300.00 before they got here I understand plumbers are expensive but $366.00 for 25 minutes of work but it had to get done.

Called to receive a quote to install a gas line for a gas grill. After taking all of my information the receptionist asked for my credit card so that she could charge me the $99 fee to come out for the quote. I informed her that I didn't want to pay a fee to then turn around and pay for the install on top of that. She explained that was the protocol and hung up me. I felt that was a bit rude since many companies give free quotes.

These guys came to give us an estimate for installing a water heater and I figured while they were there, they could fix 2 leaky valves. When they gave their prices for replacing the valves (1 outside faucet = $450, 1 gate valve = $350) I was appalled at the prices and said I'd find someone else but then they said they'd told my wife there was a $110 estimate fee I'd be on the hook for, only waived if I did the work right away.

So I did the work but felt trapped - awful. Last time I'd replaced valves it cost around $250 - within the 1st hour visit minimum for a plumber charging for time & materials...

These guys did a good job, were in and out in 45 minutes flat but they are EXPENSIVE. If you're super-busy and want responsive ppl, they could be for you but for most of us the cost will knock you off your feet.

Ps. their estimate for installing water heater attached. As stated by the owner below, this estimate DOES include $600 cost for an electrician to run 21 Amp cables from breaker panel to utility room, thru house (10 gauge). Having done this personally, fishing cable thru is time intensive, is a MUCH bigger job than swapping out a couple exposed water valves... fortunately the subcontractor allowance at a far lower rate than the plumbing piece.

Be advised these guys charge $298 for a simple descaling of your on-demand hot water heater. Extremely exorbitant price. Less than $20 in white vinegar, a $10 washer hose kit, a sump pump, and a 5 gallon bucket and anyone can do this themselves for a lot less. Takes about an hour. Lots of videos online of how to do it.

Oh and the cancellation policy changes at whim. We were told 24 hr cancellation policy after they had called us and arranged the appointment. They called on a Tuesday and set the appointment for that Thursday at noon. We called and cancelled at 10 on Wednesday morning and were charged a $25 cancellation fee.

They seemed ok when they were installing our hot water heaters, but now I'm wondering if they overcharged us for that. We didn't do much searching which is on us.

Replaced a three way valve on my Navien burner for 2,500. Valve leaked 2 weeks later. They ordered a part and fixed it. Still leaked now they say I need a new unit for 11,000. They offered to put the 2,500 towards it but too overpriced. Had a new Navien tech come in to check it and lo and behold the three way valve way put in wrong. Blue Bear told me it was leaking from another spot. I don't have 2500 to throw away. The new company can replace the burner for 6k. Stay away from Blue Bear. Not honest and they don't take responsibility. His reply is not an accurate representation of what happened. His repair man encouraged us to replace the valve and said the unit had another 20 years. I believed him. He put the three way valve on wrong and that's what is leaking. No leaks in any other place. Take some responsibility for this Blue Bear!!
As far as the broken dryer, they hit the knob and broke it when they were servicing my boiler. It was on the floor when they left.

Be very cautious. When you call with a plumbing issue, they will send a non-licensed technician who is not a plumber without informing you. Then, when that non-licensed technician's opinion turns out to be erroneous, they can BLAME YOU for following his advice.

they advertised 90 annual service and charged 195 because it wasn't a furnace it was a boiler. was not down stairs three minutes then. told us we need a new system 20,000.00.  our heat was working perfectly before they came out we just wanted to have a yearly look at. we went away for a few days when we came back the house was freezing. we then called them on a Monday and they said they can't come out til the following Monday that the serviceman said it was working when he left. something went on and now they don't want to fix it. scam scam scam.  be aware they don't stand behind their customers.   they just want to sell new systems

Great team from sales to installation.great quote. Very Patient with my requested quotes for multiple efficiencies. Great advice for maximizing mass save rebate when i was deciding between similarly priced systems. They taught me how to apply for the rebate.
The installers went above and beyond to inspect and determine that my existing lines wouldn't last, replacing them. Other companies at twice the price were going to reuse the same lines.
Will happily recommend to my friends.
Plan to sign up for service plans for multiple home systems to get priority service in cold weather emergencies.

We were in dire need of a plumber and couldn't find anyone to come and help us (commercial).  Called them on a Thursday and they were in first thing Monday morning and took care of all our issues (spent a few days with us).  They asked what needed priority and repaired everything correctly the FIRST time!!!    Had an emergency called them - and as busy as they were - they took care of our problem on the same day.  Workmen were wonderful.  We HIGHLY recommend them!!!

I have been in the process of getting quotes on upgrading a small section of gas line from 1/2 to 3/4 to accommodate a new tankless and contacted Blue Bear to come give an estimate. I mentioned that I would also consider having them hook up the tankless unit if the price was reasonable. They were upfront about the $100 fee just to come out and I agreed considering there was the possibility of completing the work that day. The time frame was 10-1 that I should expect a tech to come. I got a text at 8:30 saying that the technician was on his way. Chad showed up a little before 9 (he was wearing a mask and was very professional which was appreciated). I showed him the tankless unit, which was already mounted, he took a look at the gas line, which needed to be upgraded, and then went to the van for 20 minutes to calculate the price. When he showed me the price my heart sank. $6600+! Over 3K to upgrade the gas line and $3,300 to hook up the unit.  I called that night just to see if there could've been an error, but I just got the our employees are drug tested and background checked response as to why the price was so high. I received a quote from Jeff Dustin which was $3,500 to do the entire thing without already having the unit mounted. Jeff Hubbard, one of the most reputable plumbers in Marshfield who has done work for me in the past, quoted me $1000-1500 to do just the gas line upgrade, however he was booked a month out. In the end, I went with Pilgrim Plumbing who quoted $3950 to do the gas line upgrade and tankless install. Would've loved to have gotten the unit installed by Blue Bear this week, but that price is absurd. They are also the only company that charges $100 just to come out and give an estimate, which now makes more sense why they need to.

Blue Bear Plumbing Ripped us off ,$760 for 15 minutes worth of work. We had a leak in our basement. They knew we were worried about it, and we wanted to make sure we could get it under control.  Because we had water everywhere the ceiling caved in. It was a scary situation for us, not being plumbers so Here's is exactly what happened when the guy that came out to fix it, he looked at and said, it's  going to be $1,100.00 to fix one pinhole leak that they found. Then I got on the phone with our usual plumber that we use, (he was out of townthats why we had to call someone else blue bear) and He couldn't help us unfortunately. But as I was on the phone Blue Bear plumbing yelled up from our basement that ok I can do it for $760.00 (bargaining with us) He said I was looking at the wrong job invoice and I was asking the plumber that we usually use about the price, and then them changing the price, and Blue Bear plumber yells upstairs, I already made a cut and started the job. I wasn't happy, but what could I do and he knew I couldn't do anything. Then I asked about another foot of pipe that didn't look good. He said I can do that for another $200. I said what? for a foot, he said ok I'll just throw it in. They took advantage of our emergency situation. Charged also for an 8 inch step stool that was ours, that we provided that we let them use for $366.00. mind you the whole ceiling was open already because of the leak. $366 for the major access he called it going overhead with the 8 inch step stool. $366 for the pipe. $69 service fee just to come out. SO we called and just talked to John the owner. He said that's what he charges. I said you feel ok with overcharging us. He said yes I feel good and I'm not giving you any money back, you signed and said you were satisfied. We never said we were satisfied, he was yelling I'm not giving you anything. and Just a side note to add before this happened we had one of blue bears plumbers on the highway who drove right on our bumper as we were driving off the marshfield exit he went Pembroke way I said I'm calling your company and we did. We called and said what happened and they never got back to us. I mentioned it today and he said he never got the message, but we he did he said he'd mention at the next meeting. I mentioned to him and said thats a billboard, you can't do that. He only said what happened because Denise asked him, why they never got back to us on that. We said we have done work with them before, and we were surprised this happened and no one got back to us about the resolution. We said we would contact Better Business Bureau, and go through other avenues, he said go ahead because your getting nothing back from us. So this is a recommendation to you all, to NOT go through Blue Bear, We are Contacting the media too, and he said go ahead post it on facebook that he doesn't care, go through whoever you want. He said he said give us full barrel fight on facebook. He said go ahead. How we knew we got ripped off is because our plumber came back today and gave us the truth on how much it should be. Blue Bear said we are not some work out of your truck plumber who doesn't know what they are doing. Our plumber is a great plumber who is fair and would tell us the truth. We are Really frustrated, with this whole thing. It's bad enough we had a flooded basement, everything had to be thrown out, our furnace blower went because of it, Joey's handicap stair chair needs to be fixed because of it, our carpet, our floor, our walls, all the items, things we can't replace and we had to deal with Blue Bear taking what they wanted in our crisis on top of it all. Everyone else that we worked with us on the basement would never take advantage of us. This is unacceptable, and we just want our town and surrounding towns to know this is not a business to go with. We don't want anyone else to have to deal with this, its unacceptable. We will never deal with this company again. Live and Learn.

Chad and Zach just came out on short notice to install my water line for a new fridge. This is the fourth time I have used Blue Bear and I am always very pleased with the service and how professional and knowledgeable the technicians are. I use them for all the plumbing problems around my house and they have come on emergency and been a lifesaver. I probably spent about 6 years trying to find someone to install the new toilets and my first call to BB answered all my questions and got it scheduled fast. They send a text with a photo of the technician(s) and with a pretty exact time which is a huge plus since I have to drive my kids to school and 100 other things each day. I highly recommend them.

I had a leak coming through my living room ceiling that had been going on longer than I realized. It began dripping through the electrical so I made the call. The plumber who came out(drawing a blank on the name - he was 6,3 though!) was great. I used to do appliance repair so I know the expectations of home service, and he exceeded those expectations. Not only that, he took care of a separate issue that I had with an upstairs valve while he was here. He took care of the surrounding work area, he was personable, and I'll be using the company again for future plumbing needs going forward.

On a negative note..they were very expensive..we only had a partial dishwasher hookup, faucet replacement, and pvc piping under sink replaced for $1459.00! After paying this price we spoke with other people in this field and were told this was expensive..So my advise is to check your prices!
But on a positive note they did a great job and the guys that did work were very professional and cleaned up when they were done.

This is the second time i have used Blue Bear for emergency plumbing issues.  And both times, with 2 different plumbers (Todd and Connor), they have risen far above expectations.  Jobs were done efficiently and completed successfully and they cleaned up before they left!  Both men went right to task, were knowledgeable and went the distance!  Owning an old house and being a single woman, i need the best plumbers possible and i think i have found them!

Blue Bear Plumbing to the rescue!!! After a week of flaky plumbers postponing or not showing up at all, I decided to give Blue Bear Plumbing a call on Friday and they were at my house Monday to fix the a gap in the cast iron pipes and clog.  Bryan and his partner were professional, friendly, and cleaned up any mess. Most importantly, they were honest! Highly recommend them! They're coming back to service my Naviens Combo.

So i called to have the seal of my toilet to be fixed and made an appointment with they quoted me for around $450. They sent Ryan to take a fix it and my dumb luck i did not know to contact the condo association to turn off the water. This lead to Ryan telling me that my shut off valve to the toilet was broken and would take a bit more to fix, but ultimately we needed the water shutoff by the condo. There was a miss communication about who would contact the condo association to shut off the water which was fine (but i still believe that Ryan told me blue bear would contact them and then call me back when they have a time scheduled, which made sense to me because blue bear knows their availability better than me). a day passed and did not hear from them so i called them and that was when i was told I was to call the condo for shut off and then they quoted me for $900+ for the valve and the toilet seal. after that i called a different plumber, home advisor, and they were able to come look and fix it the toilet seal for less than $400 and they also confirmed that my valve was fine by having it on the off position and when the water was turned back on the toilet did not fill until we turned the valve back on. to the owner who responded to my review please explain how that would happen? where a 450 job became 900? $390(HomeAdvisor's price) compared to $450 I'm fine with but 390 jumping to 900???? that's robbery and taking advantage of a person that does not know plumbing

Similar to other reviews on here, this company is incredibly overpriced. They were prompt and I have no complaints on the actual job done, however in and out in 1 hour for a replaced garbage disposal  and it cost me $850. No electrical work needed, no permits needed. The garbage disposal I did purchase through them but retails at around $100. This job cost me $400 + more than any other local plumber. Clearly if I had known this in advance of having them come out to my house I wouldn't have hired them. I was told that they use flat rate pricing and they were unable to give me a breakdown of pricing. I decided to move forward with the replacement once they were out at my house, at that point being informed of the $850 as I was already paying for them to just be there. That being said, I get companies have every right to set their pricing,  I just wouldn't recommend them to others for small plumbing jobs based on their excessively high pricing.

I have seen Blue Bear Plumbing recommended numerous times on our town's Facebook community page. Our half bath toilet decided that it wanted to clog & backup during a pandemic so I wasn't even sure I would be able to get a plumber to come look at it. Blue Bear got back to my online appointment request(sent after 10pm Wednesday night) by 8 am Thursday morning. Charlie was great - he was able to fix the issue quickly & give me tips on how to avoid it in the future. Thank you again!

Called Blue Bear on a Saturday afternoon with a slow draining kitchen sink. It wasn't an emergency but I wanted to get on the schedule for the next week.  Someone called me back with an hour with an 8am Monday appointment.  My garage disposal had stopped working about a year ago and I didn't have the money to remove it so I added a sink strainer to catch any food particular.  A Roto plumber told me it was dead and would need to be replaced.  The sink started to back up again so I called Blue Bear.  The technician told me it wasn't dead just a clog.  With 45 minutes he unclogged the sink, drained it and my disposal is working again.  Thank you thank you!

Stay away!!!!I called Blue Bear for a leaking kitchen sink. I requested for the plumber to wear a mask. I was told that it was Company policy to have all their workers wear masks.  I tried to get an approximate cost estimate over the phone from receptionist  for either fixing a pipe or replacing a garbage disposal, but I was told it is different every time &  I had to book a plumber with a deposit to get a cost estimate. Only he could give the price. Anthony, the plumber said he needed to change the garbage disposal. Price: $618!!! (yes 618!!!) for labor & material. No other solution. His quote was even higher to remove completely the device ($720) since it would take more time. Anthony said the $618 included the BEST garbage disposal on the market. He stated his company uses only the best. He also stated that it is the standard company flat fee just to replace (not to install from scratch this device) applied to everyone. He made me sign consent before starting the job. Anthony went to his truck & brought a box that said Badger.  I  never heard that name.  He still claimed it was the best on the market, it was an Insikerator.  By subsequently googling the Badger 5, the retail price was only $55. Not the best, the cheapest!  After 15-20 min he said he was done. Yet, he didn't replace the sink flange & baffle. I asked him to do it. He refused saying mine were fine.As part of a complete job,  I was entitled to a fully brand new device not a combination of 10 year old pieces with new pieces.  I demanded it.   He refused and CLAIMED NO garbage disposal WHATSOEVER comes NOWADAYS with a sink flange & said  he did not have the parts. I then grabbed the manufacturer pamphlet & showed him all the pieces were included. He was lying and trying to cut corners by doing less work. Caught lying, he claimed my box did not come with any. Was he selling me something new? He went to his truck got the pieces and presumably installed all of then (scratched). He then forced me to sign on his iPad that he completed the job to my satisfaction. I could not change anything to the electronic document.  Speaking to his boss, he was not much better and refused to explain why the receptionist could not give me a price since it is a flat fee and not a price determined par case.  He also refused to give me a breakdown of the cost between parts ($55 retail price on line) and labour ($618-$55)= $563/20 min or $1,689/hour!!! I guess even dishonest people can't justify the unjustifiable.  He told me they bent over backward to look after my needs by wearing a mask to protect for Covid, when in fact it is their policy as per their phone message.  He offered me 15% on any future service with his company.  I would not rehire them even if they would pay me! The sad thing is tht had Anthony been honest, I may have thought the price was quite high, but I would have been just happy to solve my problem in a quick and efficient manner.  Instead I discovered I was lied to on the quality of the food disposal machine, I was presented with half, the plumber had no integrity whatsoever with his claim that no food disposal device comes with the key pieces required for installation, I was forced to sign that the job was done to my satisfaction or the guy would not leave the house and his boss John was not any better by refusing to provide the client with a breakdown of cost, or refusing to explain how the receptionist avoids giving you a price to replace a food disposer and tells you every job has a different cost and needs to be assessed by a plumber when in fact they have a flat fee as stated by the plumber and his boss.  Stay away.
