Best Tankless Water Heater Inst… in San Francisco CA

After reading poor reviews of other companies that was in contract with our home warranty, we found BeastBay Plumbing on Yelp and am glad we chose them! Reached out on Tuesday, scheduled a visit on Thursday, BUT after realizing this wasn't something that could wait, BeastBay was able to come first thing Wednesday morning. Johnny U. was our technician and he was great; efficient and straight-forward- he was able to get the job done and at an affordable rate. Hoping to have no future plumbing issues but if we do, BeastBay is the way to go.

The folks at Mr. Rooter are not only the best in the industry with their skills and creative problem-solving, but are super professional, easy to work with, all have fantastic personalities, are responsive, and quite dedicated.

We purchased a 100+ year old home last year that needed all the work. New water heater, removal of old pipes and installation of new cooper ones, replacement of drainage pipes, new gas line to the water heater & HVAC, and new sub-sink waste centrifuge masticator. In a week's time, all the work was done to the highest of standards.

A test of quality and dependability is serviceability after work is complete (because, like everything else, things don't always function 100%). We've had a manufacturer defect in a part inside the Navien tankless water heater, which caused water temperatures to not heat up sporadically. Super frustrating, but three times the team came out right away until they figured out the issue (these machines are super high tech, so it takes some time to get to the bottom of it). A replacement part and several troubleshooting hours later (under warranty and at zero additional cost to us), the issue was resolved. Bravo for the team's persistence!

We have more work to be done very soon, and will update this review once that's finished. In the meanwhile, we always recommend the folks at Mr. Rooter Oakland/Berkeley to anyone looking for a suggestion (like a neighbour a street over who, today, asked our Facebook group for recommendations, which we happily gave the phone/email for Mr. Rooter to).

Oh... pricing is super fair too. We had contacted about 5 other companies when we scoped out the work. Though Mr. Rooter wasn't the cheapest (you get what you pay for), they were also not the most expensive. We feel like we struck an awesome middle ground that optimized the quality-to-cost function.

So yeah... all the positive reviews here are very much on par with what you'd want in a plumbing company. Bravo to the wonderful crew at Mr. Rooter!

I have used Tromborg Royal for years and have always been very pleased with their service and price.

My 3 story building had a blind leak as the SF Water Dept characterized it. I called at least 5 plumbers; 3 came out to snake unsuccessfully and 2 said they don't handle blind leaks. I researched and found 2 plumbers who possessed special equipment to detect leaks. Only Advanced Plumbing came out. Although they did not use any special equipment, Nick and Gabrie'sl persistence found the plug, in fact 2 plugged drains, and sourced the location. They then determined the best spots to cut the wall to access the drain, cut the drain, clean it out, snake in 2 directions and replace the drain. Of course, I was only too happy to repair the small cuts in the plaster wall.  They even worked on a Saturday.  I can't say enough how grateful I am to have discovered Advanced Plumbing. Truly service oriented with results. They are my go-to plumbers now for even the smallest jobs.

Luis was very responsive to my calls and showed up on time.  Luis and employees alway wore a mask.  Very professional and explained the problems and what was needed to correct.

We called Steve early on a Saturday morning after our fire sprinkler was accidentally broken and sprayed water all over our apartment.  Steve was at the house within a few hours, replaced the sprinkler, and turned the water back on.  We really appreciated his quick and professional service.  He also gets high marks for being a Golden State Warriors fan!

I cannot say enough good things about the work Edgar and his assistant have done! My wife and I just bought a home that needed some plumbing work. Edgar was easy to get in touch with and came out to fix one smaller item (replacement of an S-trap with a P-trap under the kitchen sink) and to give us an estimate on the rest of what needed to be done. His work the first time was excellent, and he just finished the second, larger job of installing a new toilet, replacing a faucet, and getting our water heater up to the standards of the city inspector. All of the work was done in a timely fashion, with care and attention to detail. Where there were items that came up that weren't in the initial scope of the estimate, he informed me of what the issue was and the additional time and parts needed - and he had all the parts on hand. I'm certainly not looking forward to my next plumbing issue, but at least I know who I'll be calling!

I've had two experiences with Harry Clark --

They installed a furnace in my home several years ago. Went smoothly, fair price, no complaints. The installers were prompt and courteous. They would have gotten 5 stars if not for the second experience.

We had the upstairs furnace (yup, old house with two furnaces) serviced last year because it wouldn't turn on. The person they send was extremely slow, charging by the hour. He couldn't get the furnace started. He replaced a part, still wouldn't start. I got charged for the time and the part. After he left I got it started. That was a 1 star experience, no doubt. I got a partial refund, but even so...

So that averages out to a 3 star experience overall. I'd look for someone else next time...

I'd been looking for someone to come out and figure out what was happening with the water drainage around our house. I call Oakland Rooter one day and they had someone out there the next day...snake and camera in hand. Within an hour they figured out and fixed a problem that had been plaguing the house for years! As long as I'm the Oakland area they will be my go to plumbers.

AT Weber has quality staff who are prompt and professional. They have helped us a few times. Last year they rerouted a plumbing line that was done incorrectly. Last week they capped off an old line we don't need anymore. I appreciate feeling confident in the quality of their work.

Ignacio and his team are pros. We hired him to test our lateral line from the house to the city. They were extremely knowledgable, helped through the process, contacted EBMUD to schedule the test, were on time and efficient. Will use for any needs going forward.

Isreal is now our official Plummer in Rodeo! He is straight to the point, cleans up after himself and warns you ahead of time on the potential costs before he tests the first solution. Kick back and very professional. He makes sure that everything must be good before he leaves to the next job. He also offered a 30 day service warranty if the problem persists. Awesome Possum!!!

Had to take a break to check out the Santa Rosa / Napa fires on TV...Crazy outside smelling like smoke and ashes on my car.

Where to begin! What a wonderful plumbing service and customer experience I had today. From the moment I had minor flooding in my garage and reached out on Yelp to the very kind assistant eve scheduled me the same day, to the less than hour later when Vlad showed up, I was treated with thoughtfulness, respect and urgency to rectify the situation. Joey arrived early and he installed the parts I had purchased.  He offered me a senior discount which I very much appreciated.

We had a leak in our hot water pipe in our house. Travis was great, came out and gave us an estimate and was able to start on the project the same day and restore our hot water by the end of the day, while other plumbers were quoting us higher prices and longer times to schedule the work and to get it done. Friendly and quick service, we're very happy we went with Works!

We had a clogged drain, which I tried to clear on my own with a regular snake without success. JJ Rooter & Plumbing came out the same day and fixed the problem in no time. Great service!

These guys are great.  I had a hard plumbing problem, very specific fixture with custom parts that were causing a kink and limiting water flow.  I was hoping for a simple solution, but given the peculiar situation, there wasn't one.  But, they came up with an ingenious idea for a work around.  $12 later I had the parts, and guess what!  It totally worked!  These guys are awesome.

Best decision ever, hiring this crew to replace a couple ancient cast iron boilers. He worked very intelligently to tie in a modern mod/con boiler with my gorgeous old radiators. Everything is working perfectly. Very happy. I made a lengthy search of boiler/radiant companies, and they were all scared to take on my project, or they were overpriced, or they didn't seem very knowledgeable or patient. Innovative scored on each of those. Highest recommendation!
