Best Sewer Line Repair in Portland OR

Awesome!!!  These guys are the best - we have a full house and one bathroom, so we need things fixed fast!  Louis explained everything and answered my questions, and got us working again.  Phew!!! Even the dogs liked him!

Totally impressed. Went out and bought s hot water heater thinking ours was on its last legs ($980).  Called Tri County after their competitor stood us up twice. Tri county came out and took a look planning to install today. After looking at it they recommended leaving it be (has several more years life) and left w/o charging for the inconvenience!  Will definitely be calling them for all my future needs. Were extremely professional.

The toilet was not flushing well. I snaked it . It was clear but still no clear flush. The one in the guest bathroom did flush well so it had to be an obstruction before the Y in the sewer line. They came out and snaked the line. He said he found not obstruction and perhaps it was the toilet itself and offered a new one installed.  So what was a $250 bill turned to $900.00 in a few minutes.  He put in the new toilet but when the plumber showed up to hook things up I heard him arguing with the technician about something not being needed.  Brian ( the technician ) was supposed to get back to us to tell us what was wrong with the toilet. Absolutely no call back. The new commode works fine but we were victims of the old sales game: sell, add on, sell up.   Don't be as gullible as me.

Kent showed up and was friendly, knowledgeable and did not waste time.  Since we had a water damage issue, he did not wait for the Serv Pro guys to show up.  He just started reviewing the situation and cut into drywall to start repairing the problem.  The fee was fair and he pointed out a few other things to think about for the future.  I had a great experience last time I called Simpson Plumbing with Kenny and it was no different this time with Kent.

5 stars for Alan! I called them about 8:15 this morning. I was told they would arrive between 10 & 12, which they did. Alan diagnosed the issue with a tub drain, gave me an estimate,  cleared drain, was friendly, explained things well and cleaned up thoroughly. Also replaced toilet flapper. I'd hired this company in the 70's to replace our service to the street. It is wonderful after all these years to find a company with the same honest & capable services.

I spoke with Mike about doing a consult, and he was very helpful. He is grounded and funny, and honest. We didn't need to hire him, but would in a heartbeat if we ever needed work done.

I always always use these guys. Except recently, I almost cheated on them with somebody else and I feel horrible about it. Ultimately, I came back to these guys to get the job done. I don't know what I was thinking even considering somebody else.

This was the first time I had worked with their guy named Justin. He is top notch, just like everybody else they have. In particular, Justin's emotional intelligence in terms of explaining the job was fantastic.  You know, plumbing jobs can sometimes induce sticker shock, but he was able to keep me level headed.  With that said, their estimate turned out to be in line, and even better, than the other estimates I received.  

There's just simply nobody else I'm gonna call going forward whenever I need plumbing done. Being able to trust these guys just puts my wife at ease.

Northwest Plumbing Services came as a recommendation from my contractor. We had David out on several occasions during the 8+ months of my renovation project which included a complete gutting of the kitchen, replacing the piping, and adding a dishwasher. He also came out and repaired my shower/faucet regulator on the bathtub (I was envisioning a lot of new plumbing, breaking into the existing wall - which meant breaking through the plexiglass tub surround) but David has been working on this equipment for years and knew what it took. All great work.

Why not 5 stars? I got the initial bill right away and paid that but I never received a bill for the follow up services. My contractor got an email that said there was a balance owing. I contacted them right away (got voice mail) and asked for the mailing address. Is this a small company? Yes. Is David a good plumber? Yes. Would I use him again? Yes. There's no one else in Columbia County I would call. Was the pricing fair? Yes. Has the work held up/passed inspections? Yes.

My outside hose was stuck on the faucet.  They responded the same day and got the faucet unstuck.  During the service I found out that my water regulator was bad and needed to be replaced.  They did and I have never been happier.  I would definitely use them again!

Had CT Drains our to check out some sewer smells we were experiencing in our new house. Did a great job cleaning the drains and explaining how to keep the drain pipes clean to keep smells away. Was very nice and professional.

Had a severe water leak in crawl space. Anthony  spent almost 3 hours fixing in a very confined and dirty place. Very happy with him and company. They were able to move my appt up by several days due to water damage occurring.

I was very impressed with the service and communication.  They showed up on time and stayed late to complete the job.  We closed on time!!  I'll definitely be referring them to my clients in the future.  Realtor Tanya Smith with Oregon First

Add a huge issue with my garbage disposal and tried to contact several companies in the area but they were weeks out. All American came the same day and took care of the issue. In and out. I like that. Definitely using them again

Joe was early, nice, efficient. Got lucky and got a same day appointment. He helped out with a leaky faucet and a leaky hose bib. Would definitely recommend.

After getting a $1600 flat fee for clearing our clogged sewer line, I decided to call a company that could fix our onqoing problem with a lining of our 60 year-old cast iron pipes.  I was pleased to find out that the owner,  David, would come  out the next morning and give us a bid on re-sleeving the existing pipe and clean out the current clog at the same time.  Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful at clearing the clog, so he gave us a referral to Retro Drain Cleaning.   David did not charge us and said he would come back out again after the drain was cleared to hydro-jet the entire  sewer line and give us a bid for the relining of the pipe, again at no charge.  He said we could then decide if we wanted to have the work done.  Our choice would be to continue paying drain cleaners to clear the clog every 1 or 2 years, or have Sewer Renewal do the work with a 20 year guarantee.  As of today, we  now have an  unclogged sewer line and have contacted David to come out and give us the estimate.  More to come.

The entire crew at Pacific Plumbing and Drain have been an asset to our community. They respond quickly, communicate thoroughly and are efficient. Billy, thanks for always taking the lead and taking pride in ensuring we are taken care of.

I highly recommend this business. Steve is a true professional.  Several times he has worked on several complex projects on my property and has done a reliably fantastic job, on schedule, and at good price.

Wolfers installed central air, heater and ducting to a room that previously did not have ducting. The day it was completed I noticed and commented on how low the flow was to the new room compared to all the other rooms (at least half as much as the other bedrooms and it's twice as large).

They said I could call my sales manager to get it sorted out but I shouldn't worry about it. Sure enough that room is 3-7 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. My calls have not been returned and after finally getting someone to come  to look at it they again did not follow up. Finally they sent someone out a second time, I assumed to actually fix the problem, but again they just looked at it and said they would call me back.

It has now been over 2 months and many failed promises to call me back and resolve the issue. I paid to have A/C this summer and was not able to get the benefits in the room I spend the most time in and have no idea when or if they will fix the installation.

I am now trying to file a complaint with costco who the service was bought through.

It works..

But...  There's always a but.  (TL:DR $850 for a job that should have been $225-375!)

I had Malmedal come out to my home to install a whole house water filtration system that I had already purchased from Home Depot. I knew after reading instructions that the piping was beyond my expertise to complete without leaking everywhere or breaking an expensive filter.

Malmedal was the plumber who put my new home's pipes in during construction approx 3 mos ago and I was referred by the builder.  They arrived on time scheduled, +1 star.

They got promptly to work reading the materials they needed even though the list of materials it was provided during the appointment, just was never forwarded to the person doing the work. I asked how much it would be, he mentioned, oh it might be around $450. (which is high ballpark for what I saw online) He had to go to the hardware store (probably charged time for this) to get simple tools that were probably also charged to me and that I had literally on a shelf sitting there already, (stud finder).

The piping got put in. I asked why It couldn't be done like example photos I saw, and he explained that those are copper this is Pex and requires to be cut at X to be under warranty  I'm not sure what that was but fine, ok.  Anyway, it looks wierd, and half the wall has pipes running across it.

Everything works, it looks fine, works fine, tastes great.

Now the Bill comes.  $850!!?!  Are you Serious?  IDK what in their right mind they have for billing $100 more I got from a different plumber that did my last house which even provided the filter.   You would think I would have saved $500 by providing the actual unit.

Everywhere I read, the labor and parts would be $375 high end for 2.5hr and parts which is why I said Ok when originally said $450.  I did not get an itemized receipt that broke down what was what, so Idk what I was actually billed anyway.

Not happy, beyond the fact that the thing works.

Looks like I'm not alone with this review - had a single drain backed up in the laundry room and looked online to see lots of $60-$90 estimates for drain cleaning.  I scheduled online with Roto-Rooter presuming their prices would be in the neighborhood. Definitely they get props for easy scheduling and prompt arrival.  However, the fellow looked at my issue, said, that doesn't look too complicated, and then quoted me $500.  I declined the service, scheduled with the competition and got it done for: yes indeed, $83, with a 90-day warrantee.  If you enjoy flushing your money down the tube that  I am sure Roto-Rooter would be able to clean out for you, schedule with their service.  Otherwise, I suggest the competition, and keep the nearly 700% markup in your pocket.
