Wow! What an amazing team they have! Everyone I interacted with via email, text, or phone was professional, courteous, and concise.

In particular, Kamryn was outstanding! He oversaw the entire process of helping us solve a complicated repair of a party sewer line (shared with neighbor) that ran about 100' out to the public sewer main below our home on vacant land owned by the city.

Kamryn did a great job of explaining our options and being the go between with our neighbor's since we live in another state. He went above and beyond to explain all of the price breakdown and the process.

In short, when it comes to Cure-In Place Piping, this is a fantastic local small business that made fixing a failing sewer line a relative breeze, at a fraction of the cost of others, with a communicative staff and more straight forward contract language than I've seen in years.

The longer version of my experience is as follows. We were in the midst of purchasing a 1912 built home with a disclosed failing sewer line. The seller's provided quote for sewer line replacement had lots of if this... then it might cost more language draped over it and didn't seem like a quote one could rely on. We only had about a week for our inspection contingency and even our realtor told us we wouldn't be able to find a contractor to come out with that short of notice. We came upon Sewer Renewal Specialists on yelp, then called and left a message describing the urgency of the situation at around 10pm. David, the owner, texted at 5am the next morning saying he could have one of his guys out there to bid the job by 9 am.  Brian came by, on time, was as cordial as could be hoped for and provided us with a much more reasonable quote than the one we had and we scheduled the job for after our escrow close. Our escrow ended up with a rent back situation, which rendered our quote passed their 30 day limit, but after speaking with David and despite increased material costs on his end (due to inflation), he honored the rate originally provided.
Our job required some excavating due to a bellying pipe (a belly like dipping in the pipe which renders the liner process inappropriate as the liner would mirror the belly and sewage would pool there) section that had to be replaced with new abs pipe. Taylor and Jose showed up early and waited in their truck until the scheduled appointment time, both began hand digging an access hole and were amazingly fast and effective in helping move obstructing patio furniture and other yard obstacles out of the way. The next day, Nick showed up with the excavator and masterfully got it up from our neighbor's driveway taking great care to not damage or mark up his driveway and proceeded through narrow paths to the back yard to excavate the spot with the bellied pipe in as tight a space as imaginable with effortless precision. We had some issues finding the grade for the section of pipe being replaced (probably the reason it bellied in the first place), but the crew went above and beyond with fittings to make sure things were done right. Aside from the vast understanding each crew member seemed to have about the workarounds for various issues, parts knowledge and field experience, they all seemed to be into what they were doing, despite some awkwardly tight positions they had to work in at times. I spoke to each of the crew who helped us at length (probably too much length haha) and have new appreciation for the hard work and complexities involved in replacing sewer lines with this liner technology.
Needless to say, when we get plans for our ADU in the backyard figured out, I know who I'll be contracting for the job and would highly recommend them to friends and loved ones.

Sewer Renewal Specialists did an excellent job repairing the sewer line from our NE Portland home to the street.  Part of the line was replaced and the rest was repaired with a liner.  The price was good (very competitive), all workers were very professional and did an excellent job.  Some additional work was required and they quickly came back out and took care of it.

I wanted to check the condition of the cast iron drainage pipes under the concrete basement of my 60 year old house.  David was able to visually inspect all the lines under the house and most of the way to the septic tank via the vents on the (low pitch) roof. He found that everything was in good shape with the exception of a couple of lines that needed cleaning.

We had a sewer scope done as part of an inspection on a home we're under contract on. I must have requested/called about 7 different companies and sent links to the YouTube videos.

David left me a voicemail explaining his thoughts about our scopes before we'd even spoken - wow! What customer service!! In comparison, so far only 1 other company said they could look at the videos without coming to the property to repeat the sewer scope despite the scope just being done (gotta grab that $). The rest either haven't gotten back to me or are booked out 2 months.

I called David back to thank him, it turns out we do not need his services. His professionalism and courtesy is a rarity these days and for that reason, I will definitely call him in the future!

Our situation:
We had a laundry sink situation, where I had requested quotes from other companies in regards to clogging/piping.... the most responsive was David from Sewer Renewal within the hour (This was after hours).  

David - was responsive, considerate and made the time to accommodate our schedule.  David came the next day and corrected our problem efficiently and educated us on the usual problems that most likely in why we had this situation.

Joe was great, showed me the video of tree roots encroaching on my sewer line.  I had no idea that was happening under ground!  He explained everything to me.  John was also very nice and personable.  He came back to redo my yard after the job,  and clean my driveway!  I was so happy that he did that.

David, the owner works hard to address any concerns and totally stands behind his own business.  He hires polite, nice young men and a very nice office person who called to explain everything about the job to be done!

After getting a $1600 flat fee for clearing our clogged sewer line, I decided to call a company that could fix our onqoing problem with a lining of our 60 year-old cast iron pipes.  I was pleased to find out that the owner,  David, would come  out the next morning and give us a bid on re-sleeving the existing pipe and clean out the current clog at the same time.  Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful at clearing the clog, so he gave us a referral to Retro Drain Cleaning.   David did not charge us and said he would come back out again after the drain was cleared to hydro-jet the entire  sewer line and give us a bid for the relining of the pipe, again at no charge.  He said we could then decide if we wanted to have the work done.  Our choice would be to continue paying drain cleaners to clear the clog every 1 or 2 years, or have Sewer Renewal do the work with a 20 year guarantee.  As of today, we  now have an  unclogged sewer line and have contacted David to come out and give us the estimate.  More to come.

My wife and I were very happy with our experience with Sewer Renewal Specialists.  There were several curveball related to our job, which resulted in the project costing more and requiring a larger work force.  Even with that occurring early on, David and his team honored the original quote and were very professional throughout the job.  Caesar and his entire team worked long hours and stayed until the job was done right.  During a time when many companies don't go the extra mile to provide good costumer service, Sewer Renewal Specialists worked hard to do exactly that.

We had a very good experience with Sewer Renewal Specialists on a cure-in-place sewer repair. The crew foremen we're very proactive, arriving a few days early to mark the various site lines and prepare their crew. When they arrived to perform the work, they were fast, organized and their communications were very clear. Finally, their cleanup was great. They left our yard looking mostly as it was, with the exception of an agreed upon shrub removal, and even sprinkled grass seed on a minor gouge in the grass.   Thank you all for fixing our house!

Nothing but good things to say. The original work was done in a timely manner and done well. They came out to CCTV the line quickly and got us scheduled for a few weeks out. Work was completed on time. Communication was great. Everything was perfect. Then my neighbor had issues on our shared lateral and I called David to ask if my repair could have impacted their connection. He came right out on his anniversary (Happy Anniversary!) and checked the line, ensuring he didn't cause the damage, and even helped my neighbors diagnose where their issue was. He came right out and said these are the things that would keep me up at night, I just had to be sure it wasn't something I did. Awesome service and he truly cares about his business and customers.  Not always easy to find. I'd recommend these folks to anyone looking.
