Of course the water main to an apartment complex we manage broke on Thursday night at midnight. After calling several other service providers on Veteran's Day weekend, we got a rough quote from Burfitt. They were out the same day, had our tenants up and running around 6pm and their price was a right around middle of the price range he gave us.

Where to begin?

We close today, we called Axiom on Wednesday three weeks ago, they scheduled us for the following Monday. They got here and found that our sewer was a nonconforming sewer line that would need to be replaced. At every step of this project, someone at Axiom explained what they were looking for, why, and what it meant. We were also given the tools to contact the city to verify this was an issue and not Axiom upselling.

Needless to say, this freaked us out, we wanted to close today and the issues with our sewer only delayed the work by a week, that was for permits. What I appreciated most about Axiom's work isn't the work itself, I will never see it really and I trust the sewer will work and I have no idea what to look for, it looked like a pipe and the water leaves the house. What they did is patiently take calls, sometimes multiple calls a day, of us, freaking out because we had like 10 days to close. They acted as and became part of the team selling our house, they worked like it was their house they were trying to close on.

The price was more than fair, the work was quick and quality. We had such a weird series of things working against us: a nonconforming sewer line we didn't know about, they had about 28 inches to work with to dig 11 feet down, a neighbor who is kind but didn't really want their yard disrupted and they made it work and, they even reseeded my crappy lawn where they dug, the yard, the sidewalk and the street all look great and good as new.

I hope I never, ever have to get sewer work done again, ever. If I do, if anyone ever asks for advice about sewer repair, I will only recommend Axiom - they looked out for us, hustled to get the work done to save our closing date and the crew that was here was so kind, professional, and also acted as therapists, cheerleaders and just all-round good people to have do work.

Seriously, if you need work done, this is the company that will work with and for you.

Great experience with Forbes Plumbing. Needed water heater repair.  They came the same day I called, the repairman was efficient, and I felt the charge was reasonable. I will call them when it's time for a new water heater.

I found AAA drain cleaning on craigslist, was a little uncertain as I did not take time to review them prior to hiring them. Steve, the owner of the father-son team was very nice on the phone taking my call despite the fact I could tell he was in the middle of a job.  We scheduled a time several days later and he was very prompt arriving 30 seconds prior to our 8:30 meeting time.
Their work was excellent, great communication, kind, clean, thorough and very affordable especially when I compared prices to other people who are posting.

I needed a gas line for our new stove slightly moved and this was the only company that was able to come out within days and give an estimate and do the job on the spot!  The pricing was not bad but i don't have anything to compare it to considering I couldn't even get another company to come and give an estimate.  Overall, a good experience and i would consider using them for future needs.

I can't recommend the guys at Service Pro more highly. From the phone call to arrange an appointment through the completion of the work, Grant and his son provide top-notch service. They were very careful about keeping everything neat and clean and solved my plumbing problem ( kitchen faucet) completely and quickly. I would not hesitate to use them for any future plumbing work.

My service with Lovett was prompt professional and thorough. Ken, my technician was efficient, friendly and very helpful. He explained his process every step of the way and answered all of my questions candidly and expertly. It's been a couple years since Kruckman plumbing has received a review. Something must have happened in that time, because those were good reviews. My experience with Mark Kruckman was the worst experience with any contractor I've ever had. He did the plumbing in my new construction house and installed the water heater incorrectly, as well as the temperature control in the shower was put in upside down. I've been trying to get a hold of him for two months to fix his work, which he is under contract to do. (Water heater is still draining into a bucket, and I fixed the shower)
When I finally got him on the calendar, he stood me up without notifying me. It took another week and a half to get him back on the phone after countless voicemails and texts to him. When I got him back on the phone, I asked him about his missed appointment. He immediately got combative and accused me of thinking I can run a business better than him. All I asked him for was a courtesy call to let me know he wouldn't be there. After reiterating that, he started yelling at me, and when I told him that he is done and not allowed in my house, he hung up on me.

Some context from previous calls: I asked him if texting is a proper method for communication to confirm appointment times. His response: I'm not a sixth grader, I don't have my phone in my face all day. But I have text capability. Okay, so if you don't prefer to text, calm down, provide some customer service and let me know that you prefer to talk on the phone. HOWEVER, getting him on the phone was like pulling teeth.

DO NOT HIRE MARK KRUCKMAN. He does not value customers, will lie to you and you will still be stuck with the repairs needed in your home. Save yourself time and headache, go with a different plumber.

I'm a realtor and had a lender require a septic certification just before closing and I was in a bind.  I called West Side Drain and Victor was not only willing to drop everything to help me the same day but was incredibly kind and reassuring.  And his pricing was incredible! I ended up not needing the certification after all and cancelled my appointment but I will certainly be using Victor and his services for any of my future needs as well as recommending him to my clients.  Thank you!

Complete scam.  When I questioned the manager why the material charge was so high, he told me that they purchased an amount of piping that was more than twice as much as was needed. I was never compensated for this extra' material.    They will charge you $100 as a fuel surcharge even if they are a few minutes from your property.   They will also charge you for the time to get materials - in my experience it took over an hour and a half.  I checked the pricing on the materials and they upcharge 40%.  Chaz, the manager, will not take your calls once he knows you are a disgruntled customer.  They price gouge and are extremely dishonest.  Avoid.

I contacted Rotor-rooter thru the 800 number and a tech was dispatched from the Portland office.They arrived when they said they would and the tech assessed the situation and gave me a quote for $429.00. He assured me that he would be able to take care of my problem. He did take care of the problem, he was able to snake out a hair plug 10' in.The entire process was less than 30 minutes and he proudly charged $429 and never asked if I had a coupon or offered any type of Assistance.

Our washing machine had a leak in the drain system and D & F sent out a person who could not see the leakage and did nothing but charge $119. for the trip.  They sent another supposed tech the next day who was here a total of 10 minutes and said for $500. he could possibly find the problem BUT not repair it.  We dismissed him with another $119. trip charge.  DO NOT use this company!!!!

We have had a miserable experience throughout with Wolfer's. We were expecting a contractor associated with Costco to be held to a higher standard and have had very good experiences with Costco contractors up until now.

First the installation was done completely differently than the sales representative said it could be done so we had to compromise on what we thought we were getting right at the install. The installers had to drill sounding holes all over the ceiling to find a place they could install the second unit that would work. When they finished, they left the holes all over the ceiling without caulking them as wet as large gaps around the units themselves. They also left the empty boxes for the ceiling units for us to dispose of.

We immediately began having troubles with the system. The thermostats did not regulate the temperature settings on the units. They were either on or off. So we had the option of heating until it was a sweat box or cooling until it was a freezer and then shutting it off until it was unbearable again and turning it back on.

When we reported the issue to the rep, we were told no one else had EVER had that problem. After telling him we were reading reviews for this model stating , they sent out a service person who told us he had seen the exact problem we had in another install. It was the mother board. They said they would order two new mother boards and come back in about one week to replace both of them. After a week and 3 days went by we called to see what was going on. We were told that only one of the boards had come in. Since we were expecting a two day heat wave in the 100's we asked them to please come out and at least replace the board in the unit in the main part of the house. After all of this they refused to send a tech up to do just one and we would have to wait. Well, here we are today, the day of our appointment finally. We were scheduled between 8-10 AM. We did not get a confirmation call so we called at 9 AM to confirm ourselves and were told our technician was on his way to his first call now and would contact us when he is on his way to us. Fast forward 2 more hours. Our technician is now one hour late so we called again to see where he is and I would like to say I was surprised, but I really wasn't when I was told that our technician is on his way to his first appointment (still? again?) and would call when he is on his way to us. Wouldn't it just be easier to set an all day appointment? So we cannot recommend or give a positive review from our experience.

Watch out! They will charge you for their Driving Time no matter what time your appointment is scheduled. My appointment was at 8AM. They sent 2 mechanics and charged me one hour each just for their time to drive to my shop. Whoever has an employer pay for your driving time to get to work, please raise your hand... NONE, I bet!

So, two guys at $85/hour after they already billed me $60 for their Vehicle and Fuel charge: I'm $230 down before the job even started! They worked from 8-9:25AM and told me the total work time was 5.5 hours, does this add up to you?

Then, they offered to take the old window air conditioning unit with them...but did not explain to me that they were actually going to charge even more for that. I thought it was a courtesy of the company, but Nope. It was on my dime... We have a huge dumpster behind our building, which I was planning to use anyway (if only I had known).

The 2 mechanics they sent were good, but I do NOT like how this company treated me. I honestly do not feel they were forthright or fair with me... It makes me wonder if this treatment had to do with me being a Female Minority Small Business Owner. If they talk fast enough, I might not understand what they are up to. Just an FYI to everyone, beware before using this company.

I had a toilet emergency at 8pm and roto rooter answered my call right away. The plumber showed up within the time promised and took care it.
