Incredible service! Steve communicated so well before and after the service. They completed the task with success and it was below what we expected to pay. I highly recommend them!

Steve is the best drain rooter person and service person I've met. His customer service, professionalism, and experience is very commendable. He worked on a drain at my parent's house for 2 days but only charged for one day. He didn't charge extra for a Saturday or Show Up charge like must plumbers.
He also cleared a drain at my wife's dental practice and costs half of the last plumber who couldn't finish the work.
I saved his contact and will send all referrals to him. You will not be disappointed.

I posted a truthful but negative review of the terrible experience with this company in June 2020.  Now, more than a year later, the owner has responded claiming that I must be mixed up because he is in Portland, OR and I am in Boston.  Don't believe his attempt to avoid responsibility. The job was for my mother-in-law who lives in Portland. She asked me to help explain her situation and to offer payment upon completion of the job. Once I spoke with the person who arrived, I knew there was some sort of flim flam going on though. He wanted payment before doing one thing. This was the experience I was posting about and there was no mistake or mix-up on my part.

We had a clogged kitchen drain which we tried to snake and use a drain cleaner on and it still was clogged,  I called Steve and he was so nice over the phone and stayed in touch via text message to let me know when he was going to arrive  (the very next morning). When he got here the drain was draining though! The drain cleaner must have finally worked but I hadn't known, oops! Steve was very nice about it and gave me a couple options, either snake it anyways or he recommended an enzyme drain maintenence to help keep it clear.  I felt like he could have taken advantage of the situation but did not and was very helpful,  I would completely recommend him to others.  He did say he doesn't do plumbing only drain cleaning and scopes.

First time using AAA Drain Cleaning and my experience was like that other reviewers.  He was on time (on a rainy Friday afternoon) - I was late.  On his own initiative, he found the problem drain pipe, excavated around the pipe break and was cleaning and was scoping the pipe by the time I arrived.
 He was pleasant, professional, gave good information, and demonstrated what he was doing.  Occasionally (not often enough!), I have the experience of working with a service provider who does a good job well.  Steve was one of those experiences.  I will definitely call again if necessary.

I found AAA drain cleaning on craigslist, was a little uncertain as I did not take time to review them prior to hiring them. Steve, the owner of the father-son team was very nice on the phone taking my call despite the fact I could tell he was in the middle of a job.  We scheduled a time several days later and he was very prompt arriving 30 seconds prior to our 8:30 meeting time.
Their work was excellent, great communication, kind, clean, thorough and very affordable especially when I compared prices to other people who are posting.

Highly recommend! Steve is super prompt and has done an excellent job all three of the times I have called him to fix random drain problems I come across. Again, I highly recommend!

Steve (owner) was great to work with in every way.  I had a completely plugged kitchen drain with standing water. I had worked on it for a couple hours to no avail.  I left him a message in the morning, he managed to fit me in the same day, arriving around 10:30am.  Flat fee for the service, $125, plus any parts.  He kept in touch via text messages letting me know when he was arriving.  He arrived on time, covered shoes with booties to not track in dirt.  He didn't mind pulling out all the cleaning supplies under my sink because I have a knee injury so I couldn't.  He put them all back afterward, too, very nice.  Pleasant conversation while working.  He quickly found the blockage, removed and showed me, also showed me broken gasket which he replaced for $2.50.  It was a small job for him and probably a lot of travel, but it was very important to me to get the drain cleaned on the same day.  I had started the morning going through some internet service and getting barraged with calls and emails from various large plumbing companies telling me they couldn't come out same day anyway (even though I had put that in the search criteria).  I managed to find Steve by calling Zach of Everlast Plumbing (whom I would also call back again in the event of a larger job) who was kind enough to return my call and refer me to Steve.

Fast, same-day service on our suddenly clogging toilets and gave us thorough advice about how to avoid the problem in the future. Only charged us for inspecting the drains with a camera, since they found no clogs (my plunger worked!).

Sink was backed up.  I thought I was being careful and slow deposing of leftovers with the garbage disposal.  I called AAA Drain Cleaning first for local location and second because of his positive reviews.  He personally answered the phone, said he would try to get by that evening on his way home (I could have waited a day) and called me again to let me know his schedule.  He came by at the end of his shift.  Super fast, knowledgeable and reasonabley priced.  I would always use AAA Drain Cleaning in the future.  I'm sure I'll goof up again and put too much food down the garbage disposal and I will call them.  I'm glad I did.

I am very grateful Steve was able to come out this morning to help me with my clogged kitchen drains.  Glad I have someone trustworthy to turn to should I have drain issues in the future!

We made an appointment for the next day and he came in and unclogged my soapstone utility drain in less than 30 min which made me very happy! Business owner, Steve Gill provided excellent service.  My issue was a clogged kitchen drain, and he had us back in business in just over a half hour.

He is unfailingly polite and clearly honest.  He arrived right on time, and texted to let me know he was on his way.

The charges were reasonable with no hint of trying to up-sell more services.  He took the time to explain the problem and offered some valuable tips to prevent future issues.

I had another plumbing company attempt to clear the line prior to calling Steve.  I waited two days for the service call and the technician showed up, tried a couple different techniques, said he couldn't clear, and then handed me a bill for $165.00.  I called Steve and he and his son where at my door in under an hour.  Diagnosed the problem and had me taken care of in under an hour.  First call to Steve was at 1:13pm and the repair was completed by 3:15pm.  Steve knows what he is doing, is extremely respectful of the environment in which he is working, and is more than fair.

We had a rain spout that was not draining properly. Steve spent time checking all of the possible issues thoroughly before determining the problem. He came up with a solution that did the trick and was a good value. All along the way he did a great job of helping me understand the issue and the options for how to fix it.

I was impressed with the work and the sense of professionalism. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Called this guy for toilet issue. He says he'll come out the next day. Never shows never calls won't return call or text. Very unprofessional.

Over the last 9 years we've been dealing with tree roots clogging the main sewer pipe. We simply accepted that we'd have to get it cleaned out every year. The last time was a year ago and that well known company charged us several hundred to run a camera down the pipe after running a tree root cutter down there. To my eyes, about 70% of the  tree roots were still in the pipe. So.... a year later, same problem... someone recommends AAA Drain Cleaning. He shows up at our place in NE Couch St in Portland ... on time ... and runs the camera before snaking it.... nearly 100% blockage..... this guy spends about an hour running that root cutter head through the pipe, in forward and reverse... until 99% of the roots were gone. He ran the camera down the pipe and showed us.... literally NO SIGN of roots in the pipe. AMAZING quality service. Really knew how to get the most out of that machine. Locally Family owned. Highly recommended!

We were traveling when we got the call from our house sitter that the sewer clogged up. This was Labor Day and we figured we would be waiting until the next day to reach anyone.

Fortunately for us, we contacted Steve, who immediately came out and didn't even charge us a holiday fee. He was extremely accommodating and was dedicated to fixing our problem while we were 2000 miles away. He did so in the most cost effective and efficient way possible.

Steve has done work at my house twice and we have been thrilled with the work done and the education Steve gave us.  He unclogged a bad drain in my kitchen and helped unclog an outdoor drain that had been clogged for years.  I couldn't be happier.  Great guys.

5 Stars for sure.  Just give AAA Drain Cleaning a call.  I contacted them first thing on a Friday morning and Steve was even able to schedule me for mid afternoon the same day.  Sent me a couple messages during the day to let me know he was running a little behind schedule.  Still showed up by 3pm and had everything snaked and cleaned up within an hour.  Great service, great price!

Steve Gill and associate cleaned out bath tub drain and discovered what I thought was 2 clogged drains was really only 1. Had all work completed in less than 45 minutes. Nice, professional, skilled, efficient and reasonably priced. Worth every cent I paid to have them come out and unclog my drain.

I procrastinated several weeks on a slow draining bathroom tub, and eventually it became near completely clogged. After trying some quick home remedies, including snaking the drain, it was time to make a call. My wife, who is a realtor and deals with home repair issues more often than I, referred me to call Steve at AAA Drain Cleaning.

Steve answered my call immediately. I didn't need to leave a message or call several times. He was able to come to our house within the hour and cleared a nasty ball of hair out of the pipe. He was very polite, on-time, and fixed the problem quickly. I appreciate his quick and speedy results and will keep his contact for the next time I have an issue with any of our drains.

Steve is amazing.  He is thorough and informative.  He told me things without asking.  When he left there was nothing more I needed to know.  I do have to apologize though, he had to climb up to a roofline in the sun in mid 80 temperatures.  Not once did he complain, after going up and down the ladder multiple times.  He truly deserves the title of the company AAA.

We had a clogged drain in our basement  and a company we hired to unclog it was unable to do so after dropping a snake down the line. Steve was recommended by a contractor who had redone our basement. He showed up on time, brought some terrific camera equipment with him (it was so sharp we could see nails and worms in the drain pipe) and even managed to unclog the drain with his camera. He recommended a plumber to replace the pipe but most importantly unclogged our drain so we could at least use our kitchen and washing machine until the repairs are done. His fee for all of this was more than reasonable. Highly recommended.

We called AAA to help our mother-in-law with a drain problem. When the worker arrived, he demanded to be paid before lifting one finger. When I asked them to perform the work and then be paid upon completion, he walked off the job. Does AAA not stand behind its work?

Had an emergency situation, clogged main drain. Super fast, knowledgeable, and a great sense of humor. Would definitely use again if/when needed!!!

I'd Call  AAA again in a second. They fit me in as soon as they could; which, luckily was the same day.  They were courteous, professional, expeditious and knowledgeable with all the right equipment to get the job done, main line clog. I even learned a bunch of things about my plumbing line that I had no idea about. I highly recommend Steve and AAA drain cleaning.  I felt his fee was right on par.

I had a major clog on our upstairs drain which put our bathrooms out of commission. Out of desperation, I called a bi name chain drain cleaning company. After two attempts, all I had was a large bill, a broken hose faucet, scratched up floors, and no answers.  AAA Drain cleaning was recommended to me by our plumber, and they responded quickly, were extremely courteous, very skilled with their tools (snake and camera), and talked me through everything they were seeing when they camered our drains. They were able to pinpoint the location where the issue was, so that the plumber could make the repairs with minimal disturbance to our ceiling.

Not only did they actually assist in finding and fixing the issue, they were much cleaner, tidier, and knowledgeable than the chain company we called first. I will definitely use again if I have other issues.

I had a complete clog of the sewer line in a house that I own. With water backing up into both bathtubs while also not being unable to use the toilet, time was of the essence. I called and they answered on the first ring. That alone is a godsend when you are in that sort of difficulty. Within an hour, he had scheduled a technician who was at my house within two hours from my phone call. When he got there, he immediately acted and was able to identify the clog and clear it and also made a video  in a wonderful email that I was able to share with the city. Everything was clear and concise. You could not ask for better. I highly recommend this business.

Had a clogged kitchen sink, which backed into the dishwasher, and also prevented our washing machine from draining...but did allow the water to spray everywhere into our laundry room.  So, we had no clean clothes and no dishes and no kitchen sink. YAY!!  We had no money to spare for such an emergency as we are paycheck to paycheck. Fortunately, my mother-in-law was able to help.  She said to call Roto Rooter....I wanted to see if I can find a local company.  I found AAA Drain Cleaning.  Since I was taking the day off from work to deal with our lack of clean clothes (did not want to go to work stinky and dirty...not professional).  Got a hold and Steve and filled him in.  Immediately, he knew what was going on and knew what to do.  I asked if it was possible to come out today as it was already past 3:30pm.  I let him know that we were in the Rockwood area.  He said that it was no problem and that they were already in the Rockwood area and that they should be here in about 9 minutes.  Approximately, 9 minutes later, he and an assistant (did not get his name) were here. They were very friendly and very confident that they could fix this.  The assistant went up on the roof...thank God he did not fall through...and, within minutes, the clog was clear.  The clog was nearly at the end of his 50' line.  The quote of $125 was exactly what the price was. Super happy with the results and am super happy with the AAA Drain Cleaning.  I highly highly recommend them.  
Word of advice from Steve...I am paraphrasing here...IF YOU USE YOUR GARBAGE DISPOSAL EVERYDAY.....STOP IT!! Most do not use the high end disposals which grind things up very fine, so he bets dollar to donuts that the disposal is the cause of the problem as it does not typically grind things up finely but large enough to collect and become a solid mass that will clog the drain up pretty good.

Our downspouts began overflowing very badly during a recent rain deluge. Every corner of the house had flooding around the downspout drains that run under the property and off to the storm drains down the street...but nothing was running anywhere. Water was shooting up 18 out of the drains.
Steve answered my call even though he was obviously on a job. He made an appointment for a week later, as the rain had filled up his schedule. The next day I got a call from Steve. He was finishing up a job close by and wondered if he could come work on our drainage since he was so near to our home.
Twenty minutes later, they were working the problem. A couple hours later, he'd found the issue. Two feet behind our property line was a clog that turned out to be a broken pipe that had been invaded by solid roots. We cut that pipe and water drained like a river.
The next day, the hard work already done, I ran to Home Depot, bought a couple of ferncos and 10 of pipe. It was a ten minute fix after Steve had spent hours finding it.
I couldn't be more complimentary of Steve and his son....great people, hard-working, and he stayed on his price...even though I'm sure it took longer than he estimated. These guys are good.

Had our problem solved in under 30 minutes. What a great team!!!

Steve lived up to all the five star reviews!  I had a drain problem Friday, he responded back immediately and we had something set up for Monday morning. He was super responsive, communicative, professional, thorough. I hope not to have recurring drain problems, but if I do, they are my first call!

Another well-deserved 5 star rating for AAA! Today was the third time that I've requested their service, and, again, I was delighted! Afraid to use my dishwasher this morning because the kitchen drain was stagnant, I called AAA, and Steve was here, up on the roof with the problem fixed before lunchtime. He's professional, but we always have a good conversation.

I had some water coming out from the bottom of my stacked front loading washing machine but wasn't sure what the problem was. But knew I needed it fixed ASAP. Steve had a booked schedule but fit me in at the end of the day! I was so thankful as every other place I called wasn't able to help for one or two more days. He also had great communication and fixed the problem. Turned out my washer drain line was not hooked into the wall fitting.
