I had a sewer line installed on a vacant lot I own in Lake Oswego. That was five years ago but I found out from the city of Lake Oswego that the final inspection had not been completed. In preparing to sell the lot I had to get this done. I had tried in the past to get in touch with Lovett but I did not receive a return call several times after leaving a message with the front desk. This time I was able to go directly to the excavation department and speak with Bradley Vaughn. He had not been with Lovett during the completion of this project. He took this on and did a fabulous job of resolving this issue. He worked directly with the city of Lake Oswego got a new plumbing permit and researched the past history to resolve some permitting issues. He sent Jaime out to meet me on the lot and show me the sewer scope. Jaime had been on the original job where they had encountered a very dangerous situation where the gas company had incorrectly located the gas main. Bradley scheduled the final inspection with the city of Lake Oswego and it was all completed in a timely manner.  All this in the middle of Covid 19 shutdown and the city employees working from home. Kudos to Lovett and their stellar employee Bradley Vaughn! And a shout out to all the hard working employees who do this dangerous and difficult excavation work!

I contacted Lovett to repair my basement ejector pump and am incredibly happy with their service.  Their plumber, Ken, was able to come out a day earlier than scheduled which worked great for me.  When it became clear that we'd need some specialty parts, he immediately contacted his supplier and patched things up to keep them in working order until the needed parts came in.  A week later, Ken stopped by and finished up the job.  Punctual, fast and knowledgeable.

Our Head Start had a clogged sink and a broken toilet. Lovett Plumbing scheduled an appointment for the next day. Jason Baisch arrived early and went to work, repairing both things quickly and efficiently to ensure there was no disruption for the children in our program. We will contact Lovett again if we have any problems in the future. I would highly recommend using their services.

Super impressed with Lonny and Lovett! Our unique condo buildings had a bevy of plumbing problems in bottom units after a recent snow and ice storm - we called Lovett and could not be happier with the service. Lonny was extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He was cheerful and polite even though it was getting quite late, and we appreciated that he explained what he was doing and why. He was a very clear communicator which helped us (the HOA board) explain the problems to our homeowners. He taught us a lot about our plumbing system! It was actually kind of fun to see him work out the problems - we were impressed how he used critical thinking to diagnose the problem before he started taking things apart. We have a new go-to plumbing company.

These guys are the best! Super up front and honest with their pricing, and the fairest rates I've found for the high-quality work they do. Their technicians are reliable and most impressively, quick in a pinch. I had an emergency plumbing situation in our new home and Lovett came through for me! 100% would recommend!

I found Lovett by chance and VERY good luck. From my initial call with Linda, who was responsive and understanding of my serious sewer overload, I was impressed with the company.  Like thousands of others this week we had no power. It took its toll on our sewer ejection pump, which I had no understanding of as I just moved to this house.
Friday night, hosting people who still didn't have power, my 80-year-old husband sweeping sewage out of the garage...and I called Lovett in total desperation.
They managed to get Gary here quickly and he was great trying to figure out and explain what was going on.
Ethan showed up soon afterwards. These guys figured out the problem and fixed it. They were efficient and effective in their work
I knew nothing about this company and now, I would only use them For all plumbing needs.

Tom from Lovett came out and a did a great job.  He was (early) on-time, courteous, professional and knowledgeable.  He fixed our plumbing in two hours, which included him sourcing a new flash heater locally.   Highly recommend Tom and Lovett Plumbing.

I had Ken from Lovett come out and give me a bid on my plumbing job and his bid came in about the same cost as the other two I had gotten but I chose Lovett because of the professionalism of the bid in the way it was typed up, not hand written and was very clear what they would do and what it would cost. I needed to have it done right away and they made room in the schedule for me the same week and when they came out it was handled quickly and professionally. I had them excavate the area and fix the main line and I would use them again for any plumbing issue I might need.

In addition, the owner, Dale Lovett, is a big promoter of the Practice Kindness movement. Ya gotta love a guy like that.

Kindness doesn't cost a thing, sprinkle that stuff everywhere.

So pleased with the service we had done by Lovett. Our water heater was old and leaking. Gary came over early to take measurements, and was back in no time with a new machine. He switched out the machines efficiently and gave a good run down of what was wrong with the old machine. Highly recommend!

I asked for a quote from these guys for a remodel in my basement and exteior sewage and storm water upgrades and they said they were too busy for small residential work. They were taking care of the big guys in the city. Pretty poor first impression...obviously will never consider them again. I am a superintendent for one of those big guys and will not consider them for that either.

Our toilet leaked onto the floor this AM.  We called Lovett and Anthony, a drain technician, arrived a few hours later.  We agreed to the scope of work and he worked diligently to remove toilet, replace wax seal, re-install toilet, re-caulk the base, replace the inlet line, provided new workings inside the tank.  He also investigated and reported that the leak had not caused damage to the floor, just stained the baseboard.  He called for a Lovett plumber to come change the leaking inlet valve.  Then he removed/replaced/repaired a second toilet and we were quite happy with both results....two toilets in good working order.  Next, I asked Anthony to go outside to scope the 55' gutter drain line and ensure a previous blockage had been cleared.  He did and it was.  Thank you, Anthony.
P.S.  I failed to remember the name of the Lovett plumber but rest assured he arrived quickly and was effective.

No one wants to have to call a plumber - but if you ever need to Lovett is the place to call!
Working with Ken and his team has been as painless as a plumbing repair could be!
The repair at our building was quite extensive - the Lovett crew talked us through the pipe failure and all our options - working to find the most cost effective, long-term solution for us.
Throughout the whole process they have been professional, proficient, and thoughtful, always communicating in a timely manner, keeping us apprised of their progress and completing the work under budget and right on time.
A huge thank you to Ken, Dillion, Houston, Craig, Mauricio, Tarl, Robert, Nicholas, and Joshua. We really appreciate the work you all do and the attitudes, dedication, and skills you bring to your work.
Thanks! The Oregon Rail Heritage Center.

Called last week because my 100year old cast iron floor drain in my basement wasn't draining water.  Lovett gave me an appointment window if 8am-11am about a week out (it wasn't an emergency).  The guys from Lovett called at 8:10am to let me know they were on the way.  Once they arrived, they were professional, explained everything to me clearly, were courteous and  cared for my property and pets.  They diagnosed the problem and gave me options moving forward.  They went above and beyond to make sure I understood what needed to be done.  Highly recommended.

I encourage you to notice that these great reviews are mostly from 2014 and earlier, because I did not have a great experience. It was barely OK. I needed the main line replaced -- the line that runs from the street into the house. The estimate was reasonable. I accepted the bid and they completed the work. It took over a week, more like 10 days, to actually finish the job although the drilling and reconnection was done in one day. No one called to explain the delay in finishing. Now, three months later, I discover that two out of my three outdoor faucets have been disconnected during their work in the crawl space. It was bad enough that the guy they sent out to repair my rock wall was planning to work in the PITCH DARK, and I sent him away after discussion with him about what was needed. He most certainly could NOT have done the job in the DARK. One of the supervisors came out the next day and did the work. But  discovering that my outdoor faucets have been disconnected is complete nonsense. As you can imagine, I am furious. Do you think I should call these guys again?

They came to fix a clogged drain and backed up sink. They charged me $201 to get the drain unclogged. $105 per hour, $49 just to come and look at it. $15 for a pair of latex gloves, $32 to use their snake. I thought this was a bit excessive but I understand that they can charge these prices and so I paid it. Even after their tech's truck leaked oil all over the street in front of my house. When the tech said just give us a call if it gives you anymore trouble, I took that to mean that they would come back and do the job right if it continued to be an issue. But a few days later the sink is still backing up and Lovett says they don't guarantee their work. I don't understand how you can charge those prices and not guarantee your work. I proposed that they fix it and charge me but deduct the $201 I already paid off of the bill. I think this is a very fair resolution but they wouldn't even consider this.
Don't support them. They do shotty work and don't care as long as they get your money.

There are some projects where you need to move aside and let the professionals step in. Getting your house off of a cesspool system is one good example.

Septic tank, you say? Nope. Cesspool.

The difference, for those curious, is this: a septic tank stores waste in a tank, while a cesspool is an open brick structure that allows liquid to leach out. In theory, as the years go by, the potential increases for it to collapse, leaving behind a cavernous stench-filled pit. Ours had been in our back yard since probably the early 19-teens.

We knew that the purchase of our house included the responsibility of connecting to the city sewer system by 2010. We were fully aware. But I think you always underestimate the enormity and inconvenience of such a project.

You know how the traveling vacuum salesman cleans a spot in the middle of your carpet, and now, dammit, you have to buy the machine to clean the whole rug? It's kind of like that, except imagine the salesman is the city of Portland, and charges you $10,000 to clean the initial spot.

So the city charged us $10G for the non-negotiable service of running the pipe down our street and into our front yard, and we then had to find our own contractor to connect from the out-spout to the big pipe.

As happens with everything house-related, once we had the ground opened up, we figured we might as well get a bigger water line installed, and doing that apparently meant that we had to then re-ground the house, so now electricians were involved too.

Lovett was one of so many contractors we had bid, and they provided a fair estimate (the total was around $6G) with the resources to do a lot of things under one roof. Like Fred Meyer. Instead of hiring a separate excavator, plumber, cesspool-filler (yup, that's a job all its own), AND electrician, we hired Lovett and they figured all that out for us.

They did good work quickly and within the budget they promised, and even had patience with us when we thought we could do some of the work ourselves. We couldn't. Unleash the professionals.

We had such a good experience with Lovett the last time that we gave them a call for more extensive work on our bathrooms. Dan came by and did a great job re-caulking some vintage tilework and then evaluated our toilets. He took photos of some of the older, more exotic parts so he could find replacements and is now scheduled to return next week to fix up some very old toilets. He's a very nice and respectful man who was willing to figure out the older and weirder equipment we're running.

I've had a lot of trouble getting plumbers and other skilled labor on premise in a timely and reliable fashion, but I can count on Lovett. I'm now working with the renovation company they've acquired to resolve some other issues.

Replacing a sewer line is not most people's idea of a rewarding house project. In fact, I had been putting off the replacement of my 90-year-old sewer line for more than 10 years. After dealing with a slight emergency with a blocked kitchen line, I decided to bite the bullet and get it done. After receiving a quote from one company, I phoned Lovett Services. Ken gave me a very reasonable estimate for the required work. Although the project turned out to be more complicated and more time consuming than originally estimated, the work was done efficiently and expertly. Ken and supervisor Jaime were informative and helpful. The workers on site, Dan and Rick, were fantastic: helpful, positive, hard-working, professional, and polite! The whole experience was GREAT. A class act with great workers! Thank you, guys.

From reading the other reviews, it sounds like experience really depends on the specific individual(s) you get to interact with. I was lucky!

My last tenant poured mop water down the kitchen sink and I could see where she'd tried to shove the hair and gunk through. I was careful and the sink drained okay for a couple months, but then I lightly used the garbage disposal and there was instant backup. On a weekend. I tried calling but all the open businesses were booked for several days and the rest had answering machines saying they'd be open on Monday. I finally got hold of a business that referred me to Lovett's, who would take on emergency residential work. Thank goodness. The plumber who arrived was professional, had the snake needed to do the job, and gave solid advice on how to approach the plumbing in the future. It was expensive (~$300) but I think that's to be expected of weekend, unscheduled work and I understand Lovett's usually does bigger jobs, not the small home stuff. He also spoke very well of the business owners, how they do quite a bit for the community and charity. The fact that their employee is so complimentary of his employer makes me glad to support them.

I can't comment on their work because no matter how hard I've tried they do not return phone calls.  Had them do a sewer scope at my residence almost 4 weeks ago.  After that they were going to quote me on doing the repair.  Since then I've called 4 times, once a week, and not even one time have they returned the call.  Their phone etiquette is great and each time I think finally I will get the quote(s) I was promised but total silence after that.  I am left to assume that they must not want to do the work, but it would at least be courteous to inform me of that.

I don't like the idea of a company charging $69 just to give you an estimate. Especially since the estimate was exorbitant. The owner called me 2 months after I posted an earlier review (since deleted) and stated that the technician who had come to my home had written a different (lower) estimate than he'd quoted me. Still MUCH higher than another plumber quoted for the same thing, but the technician never left any paperwork for me, so you be the judge. At least the owner called, and at least the owner refunded my $69. I said that, in return, I would post an updated review. 2-star.

In revising my review of the work done on own sewer line in mid December 2017, I am upgrading it to 4 stars from 2 stars. As previously stated, I was impressed by the thoughtfulness and professionalism of Ken, who was our estimator and contact person. The work was done promptly and completely.  Followup enquiries to both Ken and to Dale Lovett addressed by concerns a about perceived collateral damage to the water line. However it is understood that I was quite unaware of the fragile nature of our 1938 water line, and how any movement of the soil can cause to discharge internal sediment and reduce the water flow. I was also unaware the location of the water line.  There was no problem with the quality of their work or communication with their staff, or their concern that they were doing a good job.  Their prompt scheduling was appreciated, as they were about to come out within a few days, while we were worried that the sewer line would deteriorate further as the sink hole increased.  Overall they did a very good job. I would encourage others to be aware of their water line situation before getting sewer work done.

They showed up early - usually fine but I work from home in a unit behind our house, so it is important to call ahead of time. I happened to be in the house when he drove up. While he did clear our tub blockage, we were charged $15 for PPE which was explained as personal protection. That would be gloves. You know, those things you need to wear when you do PLUMBING. Oh, and that personal protection did not cover tracking mud into our home with any boot covers. That probably cost extra.

AWFUL!!!  Got a sewer scope to determine repair/replacement needs. Technician for the scope was wonderful, but things went down hill quickly from there. Three weeks and multiple calls later I can't get a quote for repairs and I just discovered several hundred dollars in unauthorized charges on my credit card.

We wanted to replace old gold colored fissures in our shower with more modern.  The Delta valve was old, and is no longer in production, and unavailable in most plumbing supply houses.  So I called Lovett, thinking we would have to tear out the wall to rough in a new valve, which would be a large expense.  But Will said he thought he could find one, and he did!  Next day Keith shows, installs the new fixtures, and looks great.  Very good service from both techs, not cheap, but without Will's extra effort to find the replacement fixtures, it would have been much more costly, and more time consuming.

TRUE CUSTOMER CARE

I had a bad experience with this company but they stepped up and made it better. Carla is a great customer service person. She was kind and apologized for what I went through. Yes, I am probably that one customer that has everything go wrong. I have no doubt Lovett is a great company and 99.9% of the time everything goes right. They recognized I was the .01% that had all the bad and they made it right. Thank you Carla and Lovett!

The Lovett team, and Ken Williams in particular, did a great job handling our total Sewer line replacement. This started out as a small repair and quickly escalated into a complicated large scale project. Ken handled every twist, turn and set back with dogged determination, paying attention to our needs and maintaining a sense of urgency. Without Ken, I think this project easily would have taken twice as long. The work performed by the team was top notch and of the utmost quality.

We highly recommend Lovett for emergency repairs and more complicated jobs.

We had to disconnect our sewer line that ran through two neighbors yards and connect to a new half trunk that the city ran in front of our house.  From our backyard, next to our garage, under our driveway and to the street.  We got half a dozen bids and we found that Lovett's was the most knowledgeable and professional.  They used a machine to bore to the street.  The price was a tad higher, but you get what you pay for!  They worked within the time frame they estimated (five days), even in our rain.  Highly recommended!

From the very start, Lovett was an absolute delight to work with. Dan in the office was great with listening to my needs and getting a technician out in a hurry. Daniel, the technician, was awesome as well. He showed extreme knowledge and professionalism from beginning to end. We were the host to a party line sewer system that we found out about while we were having it scoped proactively and caught an unexpected flush on camera. Good times. That was a few years ago and at the time the city wasn't too aggressive about forcing individual connections and ours worked fine, so we let it be until we added a half bath and the city made us scope it again. They didn't approve of the functional but imperfect condition, and said we had to repair it (which means replacement with old clay).

We solicited three bids.

The cheapest bid was a guy who was too cavalier about the process. We have a giant power pole right where the sewer meets the curb and he had no problem digging there when the other contractors said no way, you have to do it in the street. He was out.

The second contractor wanted to bore a completely new line diagonally from the opposite corner of the house to the street. Probably would have been fine, but seemed a bit overkill.

Lovett bid on a bursting technique, where they dig a hole on both sides of the pipe and use a cable to force a metal bit through the existing line, crushing it out of the way, and pulling a new heavy black plastic pipe through. The bidder was professional and the price was close to the other contractor, so we did it.

Our neighbors didn't end up getting their line done until two years after the original bid. I called Lovett up and they said they had to add $300 to account for higher material charges, but otherwise kept the old bid as is.

The crew was great. At several stages, such as welding an extension onto the new pipe and connecting to the old clay city pipe in the street, I was impressed with the extra time they took to make sure the job was done right. It seemed like it would have been reasonable to do just a little bit less but they went ahead and did it as well as they could. They were respectful of our yard, pleasant to talk to, hard workers, and about the best experience I have had overall with any contractor.

Would highly recommend.

After many calls to other plumbing outfits, Lovett came through! I needed some one the same day to replace a hot water tank.   Everyone else was 2-3 days out,  unless I wanted to pay over time, or no phone calls back.   Pat answered the phone and had Mark out to my house within 2 hours.   My final bill came in under the quoted price by a couple hundred dollars.   Thank you Lovett for making my day a lot less stressful!

Drew, from Lovett plumbing, arrived 40 minutes late, and when he looked at my kitchen and bathroom sinks, which just needed to be connected to existing plumbing, couldn't give me an estimate. He was on the phone the whole time - 2 hours - and I received a bill of $304. Had I known what it would cost, and that he'd be doing other business while connecting pipes, I'd never have hired him.

We had a serious septic leak last month in the front yard, so after HOA didn't help me and talking to 3 other septic and plumbing companies, I was referred to Lovett and I'm so glad I was able to stop here and let Ken do his magic! I am forever grateful for Lovett, they were honest, reliable and ON IT. They were personable too, which I appreciated, especially during the uncertain times we're going through; Ken really helped me understand the problem of the leak and completely  resolved it in a timely manner.

I totally meant to submit this review a long time ago, and I'm just doing it now, so I'm sorry this is long overdue, but if you're needing plumbing services, I highly recommend Lovett.

Updating my review from 1star to 4stars because I feel much better about our interaction, and the response that I received from Ken and the two workers who completed the emergency sewer repair.    I realize I was uneducated on the sewer system in my newly inherited 100year old home, and I did not know what questions to ask in order to clarify the work that I requested--therefore I felt only half of the job was completed and my subsequent 1star review.  Ken was quick to respond and very patient and helpful in explaining the procedures for the two different systems and I have a better understanding that the work I requested was completed.  I am a  better educated (and happier) customer thanks to good communication efforts.  Two of the workers who completed the repair also stopped by and were very concerned about the thought of their work being incomplete or problematic.  The quality of their work was not the problem, and we all realized there was a misunderstanding in the procedures for the main sewer line and the drain lines.  They checked out the drainage system inside the basement and were very helpful in their explanation of the drainage repair procedure.  I feel I have a better understanding of the work that was completed and there are no further issues with the quality of their repair work.  We received good communication from the workers, Ken, and Ms. Shelli in the office.  I also appreciate the company's quick scheduling--they were able to come out 1month before any other company, which saved us from being without water for more than 30 days.  I appreciate their work and their willingness to resolve misunderstandings.

You know that awkward small talk you make with the lady who cuts your hair? I hate that. I resolve never to do it if I don't have to.

When Andrew G. from the Lovett electrical division came by (right on time)  to give a quote to hook up our bathroom exhaust fan to the knob and tube craziness in our attic, he gave me a bunch of information (I asked him about other projects I was considering). He also offered, if I liked the quote, to do the work right then. The quote was completely reasonable so YEAH HOOK THAT SUCKER UP! was pretty much my response. But I was dreading the inevitable awkward small talk as I hung out with this guy I didn't know for the next few hours.

At first, conversation was hindered by power tool sounds as he carefully installed a timer switch. But then he commented on the music I had playing. Over the next hour, he efficiently completed the job AND recommended several awesome bands to me. Awkward zone defeated! Bathroom fan hooked up! Only a small dent in my wallet! All in all, a surprisingly enjoyable experience. Quality work for a decent price.

I've read a couple of the negative reviews here, and wonder if it's the same company? We had a crushed sewer lateral that was on city property, and as such, I couldn't do the digging myself. I put out calls for bids, and Lovett's salesman Ken got right back to me. I explained the problem, and within an hour or so I had an estimate.
The other 3 bids I called for, 2 were much higher priced, and the one that was lower had a lot of negative reviews, and couldn't get to it for a week or more (unless I wanted to pay more).
They got the permits, had location services out, and got to digging right away. The crew onsite were super friendly, explained what they'd found and did quality work. I've worked rock fall construction in the past, and these guys were anything but lazy or low skilled.
Finishing the job took an extra half day (because of the inspection, not because of the crew), they cleaned up every last bit of rock and dirt from the dig, and even though the problem (11ft underground) was different than the problem was presented to them, the cost didn't change at all from the original bid.
Next time I need this kind of work (hopefully never), or if anyone asks, Levett gets my highest recommendation.

Our toilet started leaking yesterday and we called Lovett.  Someone at Lovett gave us misleading info about the hourly rates.  We were told that they charge $150 an hour just for scoping.  Well we were charged $150 an hour for everything!  The plumbers came quickly, worked efficiently and fixed two toilets.  We are very happy with the quality of the work.  Im giving 4 stars due to the price shock which we were not expecting.

I had a faulty shower liner that had been leaking for years and mold was growing in the bathroom.  Lovett water restoration came in and demoed the bathroom and dried it out, they had to have their plumber come in and disconnect the sink and put in a new valve.  The shower was backing up while they were demoing so the drain depart, came in and put a camera down and discovered a chunk of concert and roofing nails in the trap.  (prior owners never did things correctly). I worked with all three of these departments and I they were all fantastic!  Pricing was very reasonable, they took such care to keep the area clean, they were always sure I understand what was happening.  I give Lovett 10 stars, they made the whole process so easy!

I needed my entire sewer line replaced really fast and Lovett was recommended to me by my trusted plumber. They came right out, tried to clear the line, but it was filled with roots ( 100 year old line). They gave me a reasonable estimate and began working immediately. What a pleasure it was to deal with them! They were so positive and careful with my property. They got the work done quickly and efficiently and left the site as clean as before. I can't recommend them highly enough!!

I was very impressed with my experience with Lovett.  We had a plugged drain.  The technician asked intelligent questions to help him get started in an effective manner.  He was professional and genuine, and I felt fine about having him in our home.  He fixed our problem.  The fee was less than others who we've had out for the same work.

I would use Lovett again.

Punctual, easily accessible office staff, poorly informed plumber who did not take the time when I called him to chat 2 days prior, he did not ask the right questions to familiarize himself with the job at hand. Came out, spent 20 minutes explaining how involved the job will be and offering very costly alternatives, which he did not have the equipment for anyway. Charged 154 dollars, office staff was not understanding to say the least when I called to explain that this seemed more of an assessment visit rather than a real work.
Would avoid by all means, I am not sure how this business approach would thrive in a city like Portland.

I had a drain backup and overflow my kitchen this morning. Luckily caught it before anything bad happened. Gave Lovett a call and had a tech there in a matter of hours. The tech was safe, professional, and easy to work with. We had the drain cleared in about 30 minutes, and he was on his way. Very satisfied with the service they provide!

We got a quote to have a catch basin at our driveway cleaned out, a new grille installed, and a crushed secondary sewer line in our side yard evaluated. The quote included a camera scope and 2 hours of hydro jet for the catch basin. The technician would not be scheduled until we paid the estimate in full.

The technician did all the work but the hydro jet, after scoping the catch basin drain and determining that it was fully clogged. Per the estimate, that was valued at $500. The technician advised us that we could pay an additional fee to have someone come out with the correct equipment and jet it, but that it was uncertain that they would be able to break up the clog. We elected to not have the additional charge/service, but were told we would not be reimbursed for the charge we had already paid, and were lucky they didn't charge us more for having to source our apparently uniquely sized grille (which was already almost $200).

We did not elect to have the secondary sewer line repaired by them for an exorbitant fee. We self-performed the work for a fraction of the cost (it was a partial pipe replacement and a cap from Lowe's).

After learning from the city of Portland while they were installing new lines down our Southeast Portland street that we had a nonconforming sewer line I learned from them what my requirements were to conform. I then proceeded to find an excavating company to best meet my needs that I could trust. Having worked indirectly with Lovett at my place of employment I was familiar with their experience and business practices. Upon agreement on a quote thanks to a thorough job by Ken Williams and the awesome experience of their lead person Hymet (sorry about spelling) I agreed to hire them to do the work. Ken, Hymet and his team worked with the city to mesh the city's construction timeline with the installation of my new line and more importantly they worked with my schedule of having to undergo a heart surgery at around the same time not to mention the rigors of the pandemic! While the job proceeded I was kept well informed by Lovett employees as to the progress and I was put at ease by the workers when they took the time to answer all my questions and concerns and show me what they were doing and why. My original impression of this company was confirmed when I saw first hand that the real experts in this company are the ones who do the actual work. I have a lifetime (62 years old) of doing hands on work (Boeing of Portland employee for 30yrs) and could not have been more impressed by the safety practices, task focus, positive outlook and just plain efficient hard work shown by the frontline laborers for this company. I can only hope that the owners and managers of Lovett take the time to actually go to the job sites where the actual work is done so they could witness for themselves their greatest asset in action.

Our water line from the street to the house developed a leak under the sidewalk that the AC unit was sitting on. Naturally, all the landscaping, sidewalk and ac would have needed to be dug up if we used an excavator to replace the line. I called Lovett, got an estimate over the phone, they were out in two days. Tylo and Eric drilled a new 3inch conduit that, we will now thread water pipe thru. I'm thrilled with their timeliness, professionalism, friendliness, and they cleaned up the site like they were never there. Landscaping, sidewalk and AC are still intact. I will have them back for another little project in the backyard later this summer. The cost was reasonable considering hat I now do not have to replace landscaping and sidewalk. Great guys, great company.

This is the 5th time I've hired Lovett. If I need a plumber again, they'll be the first call. The service has always been professional, reliable, on time and clean.

I had an appointment for Monday at 8am. Chris N showed up right on the dot and was working on the clogged drain within minutes. He spent a little time trying to snake the drain from the tub but had the same issue I did. My house was built in 1926 and the tubs line is stupidly overbuilt with a bunch of bends and turns after the trap. Chris had to move down into the crawl space and literally remove the trap in order to feed the snake down the line. Before the hour was up, the glorious sound of water flowing freely down the tubs drain emanated from the bathroom.

The service took a little less than an hour, the work areas were cleaned up when he was done and the total cost came to $150. Considering my crawl space and the difficulty of getting to the section of pipe he needed to, that price is more than fair.

After packing up his tools, Chris also talked to me about what I can do to avoid the problem in the future but he wasn't preachy or condescending in anyway.

Every time I've called Lovett the service has been pretty much the same,  friendly, clean, professional, reliable and reasonably priced. I'm glad I found them.

Have to give Lovett services 5 stars! They were very helpful from the very beginning, including from the phone call to setup the appointment. The technician, Andrew, performed a clean, professional water heater switch out in an efficient manner, all the while maintaining a very cordial and friendly air. He actually went through, in detail, all the components of the heater, the standards of care for the equipment, the recommendations for use and some troubleshooting tips. In the end, I had a new water heater and felt so much more competent at using and managing it. Thank you so much for such a great team!

Conner had an excellent demeanor and held a positive attitude even with multiple change orders and difficulties that surface. I am a regional maintenance manager and I have dealt with many different plumbers and when crisis arrive not everybody can do it with a smile like he did. He definitely practices kindness. Quality work to boot

Our sewer line backed up and then the city told us that we had a non-conforming sewer line, so we turned to Lovett for help with both dealing with the city requirements and getting us a new sewer connection. We knew it would cost a lot - and that was understandable because it was a huge job- but Ken at Lovett worked hard to keep the costs down whenever he could. We especially appreciated his willingness to deal with the city- his knowledge and experience really came in handy when the city wanted us to greatly expand the scope of the job. He was able to talk them out of their expansion plan and saved us a bunch of money. Also, the Lovett team was really careful with digging around the trees in our garden and they were able to save them all thanks to that care- that meant a lot to us. Highly recommend Ken and the Lovett team.

Jose from Lovett came out today to clean out our kitchen sink.  He had to go 45 feet to finally reach the clog!  SUCCESS!
Excellent customer service, laid down his own carpet and protected all areas when using his machine.  Even cleaned up all areas to better than it was .... And even offered to clean the dishes that got piled up in the sink.  Now that's  customer service!

We had Lovett come out to quote a sewer line hook up and they ended up helping us get the city to allow us to replace our septic tank instead.

Lovett doesn't do septic tanks so by doing so they lost money, but what they gained in my eyes was HUGE!
That's true honesty and true customer service.
We have told EVERYONE we know about what they did for us.

Lovett is a great company and very ethical and honest.
Thank you again.
We got our septic tank done thanks to you guys.

Terrible! Scammers! Dudes wanted $6,000 to fix my mother's water line leak. It was between the front lawn and the house. Easy access, a trip to ACE hardware, and $7.00 later the problem was fixed without using these scammers. DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE!!!!

Lovett was beyond disappointing on so many levels.  I'm a house manager and the home is a 1910 older craftsman beauty.  With an older home comes the possibility of old pipes and that is the true case here.  We had a back up downstairs in the laundry room.  Although the homeowner handled it on his own, this is a recurring problem.  The work involved and the smell alone is unmanageable.  I do diligent research with all companies and honestly Lovett was in the top 5 with google.  I called around to different companies because before I commit, I request estimates.  Plumbing is not my wheelhouse so you can imagine the dumb questions I asked.  Lovett had a tech come out.  He took some pictures and wasn't going to do anything except I walked him around and asked him if he had the equipment to scope.  Other plumbing companies don't have this I guess.  So he took some pictures, found the depths of the pips and charged us $212.00  and now I'm waiting for an estimate.  A week goes buy, I call AND email Lovett curious about the estimate.  Comes to find out they have an ESTIMATOR.  I'm SO CONFUSED.  The other companies have someone comes out, do the work, charge and give an estimate  NOT LOVETT.   Now Mike and Allen come out after me badgering them to get someone out here.  It's a week and a half LATER and STILL NO ESTIMATE.  Then Mike says WE DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOU, I SUGGEST YOU GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!  I call he company, try to get a refund.  Russell calls me back, fighting me on a $212 bill that we did NOT get service for.   Long story short.  No professionalism, horrible communication, untimely responses!  ZERO VALUE!    I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND LOVETT, EVER!  Seems they have enough business anyway.

Euugghh . . . plumbing. Whenever something leaks or makes noise or backs up, it conjures up the old SNL skit with Dan Aykroyd fixing the fridge for Mrs. Loopner. All I can think is, great, this is going to be super expensive, the tech is never on time and they're going to send some half-wit with his coinslot hanging out of his work pants tromping through my house and leaving a foul mess behind for me to clean up.

A few days ago my bath sink and tub were both slow to drain and I thought the liquid / gel plumber bottle I dumped in had them fixed. I think I only made the drain rat living down there more hungry and angry. I woke up one morning to Amityville Horror--dark clots and water rising OUT of my bath tub drain that filled to about 4 inches then gurgled and swirled back down slowly. I think I heard something chuckle menacingly at me once. And I don't know about you, but not having a working shower / tub / sink / dishwasher when it's all installed and should be working is maddening. When I'm out in the wilderness, fine, but I don't like camping in my own home.

Turns out my neighbor had the same problem; it seems our drainage pipes are, uhh, intimately connected. We live in a house broke up into 4 independently owned condos built in 1913, i have an old, but nicely refinished claw foot tub, thus I fully expect plumbing nitemares. You should see our basement. The ceiling is a labyrinth of duct work straight out of Brazil and the pipes and plumbing are a recursive, confused tangle with no beginning or end. M.C. Escher would be proud. This is what my tech had in store for him.

When Craig called to say he had a job postponement & would be by shortly in the am instead of the afternoon when I expected him, I said, Well, that's fine but it will have to be jammie time, I'm just waking up for the day. He remarked that he didn't bring his jammies but he'll still do the job. This made me laugh. We were off to a good start.

Let me just say Craig was kind, conscientious and efficient. While here he even took a call from an irate woman on the phone and handled it with utter grace and diplomacy. He bravely navigated the clusterfrak that is our way old school plumbing. He went between both my place & the neighbors to track down the blockage and make sure that our tubs weren't backing up into each other and worked until both drains were clear and :: GASP! :: he even cleaned up after! My tub was free of devil spawn after-birth and my floor didn't look like a military parade march came through. Double Rainbow All The Way! Win! Win!

Extra Bonus Points: Craig even diagnosed an unrelated plumbing problem I asked him about.  I mentioned a loud banging sound from the pipes I get whenever I run the clothes washer. He said the shhh-CHUNK and rattling of the pipes that occurs is called water hammering and can be cheaply and easily remedied with something called a water hammer arrester (go figure). I read that water hammering is a pressure surge or wave resulting when a fluid in motion is forced to stop or change direction suddenly. He pointed out where it does this at a tight bend just out of the hot water heater as well as just before our washer junction.  Now that I know this minor annoyance can be fixed I'll get on it, because what I don't want is that pressure wave from the noise and vibration to cause the pipe to collapse. We have enough water problems around here.

I got a few of his business cards and the next time the plumbing gets possessed, I'll ask the Property Manager to call Craig back!

Lovett electricians showed up really soon after calling them. They gave a fair estimate ($185 less than the other electrician gave), and didn't charge a cent more. They were ready to do the job immediately after giving the estimate. The electricians were very friendly and clean. They even moved our washer and dryer back in place! I would recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

I called them to clear a residential kitchen drain, got quoted $400?!?!?
I view this as predatory pricing bordering on thievery.
I'm a 70 year old cancer patient trying to take care of a clogged drain for my tenant. I'll rent a power snake from Home Depot and do it myself. There's no way I'm paying blood money to these crooks.
I was referred to them by Three Mountains Plumbing because they were booked three days out, so yeah.... I can only wonder what the arrangement is between the two companies.
Something smells. I hope to God that your situation is not desperate enough to have to rely on these unscrupulous people.

I'm giving a  Star rating! So happy with the services I received today! I was in desperate need of a plumber to put in a new sink, faucet, disposal, and replace a valve that blew leaking water for 5 days! I called Lovett and Tina helped me get scheduled, her customer service was outstanding! Within 2 hours Jeff was on his way on the same day! Jeff was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and overall the best guy that I could have asked for to do our plumbing! I will definitely use Lovett services for all my future needs!

My toilet clogged after my grandsons decided it was a good idea to flush a toy down the drain.  I called this morning around 7 a.m. and techs were set to arrive between noon and 4 p.m.  I was so happy when they called and said they could  to my place by 8 a.m.

Dustin and Ethan cleared the clog, tv'd the lune and found my toilet had a hole.  These guys we're awesome - didn't leave till a new toilet was installed and even took the old one away.  They saved the day - with 5 grandsons and a pregnant mama, we need a bathroom that works.  I don't want to think of the alternative had they not arrived when they did.  Thanks guys and thank you Lovett for employing people who actually care about their customer; much appreciated!
