We are very pleased with the work Axiom provided in terms of service, price and professionalism.  Elvis and Johnathon worked hard to dig a hole over 7' deep to replace our sewer lines and everything was swiftly done and on time including city inspections.  Even Bruce, the owner, came by to ensure all was in order.  We highly recommend Axiom!

Axiom got my job done quickly and correctly. My home water main burst, and I hired them to drill in a new one. The soil conditions and other challenges made the job very difficult. Their team ended up working 16 hours straight to get my water back on. It was surreal to see them still having a good attitude at midnight after such a long day. Every person on the job was friendly, respectful, professional, and hard-working. Obviously I am impressed with their service, and would definitely hire them again in the future. Thanks Axiom for giving it 110% for my family to have running water again!

I requested a quote from this company to repair a water leak in my house and an initial response was pretty good. The issues started when we tried to schedule specific details. The office failed to provide specific dates when their technician could come. After several days, their technician came and took a quick look around but he was not even interested in checking out the actual spot where the leak was. He promised to deliver the quote within two days but never delivered. I contacted the office by phone and Yelp message several times afterwards and asked about the quote, but silence was the only answer I received.

Where to begin?

We close today, we called Axiom on Wednesday three weeks ago, they scheduled us for the following Monday. They got here and found that our sewer was a nonconforming sewer line that would need to be replaced. At every step of this project, someone at Axiom explained what they were looking for, why, and what it meant. We were also given the tools to contact the city to verify this was an issue and not Axiom upselling.

Needless to say, this freaked us out, we wanted to close today and the issues with our sewer only delayed the work by a week, that was for permits. What I appreciated most about Axiom's work isn't the work itself, I will never see it really and I trust the sewer will work and I have no idea what to look for, it looked like a pipe and the water leaves the house. What they did is patiently take calls, sometimes multiple calls a day, of us, freaking out because we had like 10 days to close. They acted as and became part of the team selling our house, they worked like it was their house they were trying to close on.

The price was more than fair, the work was quick and quality. We had such a weird series of things working against us: a nonconforming sewer line we didn't know about, they had about 28 inches to work with to dig 11 feet down, a neighbor who is kind but didn't really want their yard disrupted and they made it work and, they even reseeded my crappy lawn where they dug, the yard, the sidewalk and the street all look great and good as new.

I hope I never, ever have to get sewer work done again, ever. If I do, if anyone ever asks for advice about sewer repair, I will only recommend Axiom - they looked out for us, hustled to get the work done to save our closing date and the crew that was here was so kind, professional, and also acted as therapists, cheerleaders and just all-round good people to have do work.

Seriously, if you need work done, this is the company that will work with and for you.

We had buyers that would not close until the sewer work was done, which was not great as pretty much 100% of sewer companies were booked! I found out about Axiom through my husbands work and called them at 7:00 am , 5 days before our closing date and Bruce answered the phone and had me on the schedule within minutes! Within an hour, we had them come out and measure and bid the job and later that day permits were pulled and two days later the sewer was done! Not only were they fast, but they were SO NICE, and  cleaned up everything so you wouldn't even know that they had been there!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing sewer work done, they even bid a fair price that came in lower than all the others and for amazing work! Thanks guys!

I was in a pinch at getting some electrical trenching done.  I called and talked with Alysia - she was awesome and jumped to the task!  The team was very professional, kind, and courteous and got the job done on time.  I was impresses.  The only issue I had, and is why not 5 stars, is that we have a Daffodil garden along the side of the driveway.  The first day the team basically trampled this garden which broke our hearts.  We then put up a barrier to prevent them doing this the second day - but they could see the 3 inch shoots coming up!  Other than that, I highly recommend this company to anyone!!!!!  Bottom line, they were there for me when I needed them most (all be it very expensive work).

I've had nothing but good experiences from this company. The owner is very personable and obviously cares about what he does. Highly recommend Axiom PDX to anyone who needs them!

This team has great customer service, is honest and up front before they begin the work. They got in and out in two days and made sure to keep all of their work as consolidated as possible. They had to cut a hole in my driveway and I could barely tell they were ever there after leaving. I had some unexpected sewer work come up after buying my first home and their team was very mindful of the stress and money situation after buying a new house. Would definitely recommend.

Responded to my request in a very short time. Responded to say they did not provide the service I needed. Provided information about another service who could. Not sure what Axiom actually does, but very much appreciate the quick and helpful response. Communication is tops. I recommend them, whatever they do.

Avoid this contractor at all costs. They bid low but it shows when it comes to their professionalism and integrity. After contractor hit gas line (where they weren't supposed to be using mechanical excavation methods), the field workers admitted to hitting it. The next day the crew changed their story and the office staff became very rude. One month after the sewer repair I received a change order for the additional work. DO NOT HIRE. My advice to anyone looking to repair their sewer - Find a contractor accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

We had the nightmare of needing to replace 60' of cast iron under the slab of our finished basement.  We had multiple companies in to diagnose the issue and provide quotes.  Some companies recognized the truth of the situation - they had us over a barrel - and it showed in their estimates.  Axiom, on the other hand, was fair to us from start to finish.  Dan showed up promptly and tried to diagnose our problem with a camera at no charge and Bruce looked for creative solutions that would allow us to avoid removing flooring and cabinets.  In the end, we chose the traditional method of removing everything, jackhammering the concrete, laying new pipes, and then pouring new concrete.  The pricing was fair, the Axiom crews were friendly and competent, and the project was scheduled a month before other companies could take it on.  This was a nasty problem, we chose a nasty fix, but I'm very happy we had the Axiom team handling it.

I recently bought a house and, during the inspection, the sewer line failed because of tree roots. I knew after I moved in that replacing the sewer line was a top priority. I got bids from eight companies, and Axiom was the lowest. That's not why I went with them, though. One company told me the entire water line would need to be replaced from the house to the street for an additional $2,500. Axiom told me if I paid to have the utilities located by a private locator (it cost $140 and was easy to set up), if they hit the water line, they'd fix it for free. I did that, and they didn't hit the water line or the gas line, even though both were within inches of the sewer line and they had to hand-dig much of the project. In addition, every other company I got bids from said the job would be at least two days; one said three days. Axiom was the only company to say they could do it in a day, and they did. As I type this, it's 3:45 p.m. and they're just wrapping up the job. They did crumple a piece of my gutter, but they hammered it back into shape and put it back. It's not perfect, but considering all that could've gone wrong on this project, I'm totally okay with it. I would definitely recommend Axiom, and if I ever have to have a sewer line replaced in the future, they'll be my only call.

Axiom is a great excavator with a full team to meet your needs.   They were prompt professional and had a fair price.   Their office team was also easy to work with quickly providing paperwork I needed.  Highly recommeded

I am shocked to see positive reviews of this company on here. We had a very weird experience with Rob today. He came to bid a job and initially started off telling us way too much personal information about his family. He was saying weird things. He then went on a 30 plus minute rant about how the houses in our area were built. He was very patronizing. He said it would be a spot job very easy, no problem. Can be done in a day based on video footage of a sewer scope and then after wasting two hours talking to us he started drumming up all these reasons it was going to be very expensive and ended up quoting us $4,000 more than any other company. He fabricated additional issues which were not confirmed by an independent sewer scope we had done the following day. Worst experience getting a bid I have ever had. Would not recommend unless you want to be taken advantage of and waste two hours of your day.

Tree roots grew into our sewer pipe and caused some flooding into my house. After completing the inside project, it was time to finish by fixing the pipe. We got 3 quotes and chose the most reasonable one. But above even that, we were very impressed by Rob's straight forward get it done attitude!! No bells and whistles, just honesty, integrity, and follow through! Project was completed today and we are so impressed with the result and their diligence. It was a bit more complicated than originally thought so they had to return the next day with shoring to stabilize the mud/dirt. They also had to go deeper than anticipated. They replaced the pipe and captured video showing clear lines. Rob stood by his quote even with the unexpected and we cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic Company!  Bruce and his team came out to first perform an inspection and sewer scope, upon inspection they found issues no other company had identified earlier in my 190ft sewer line, 3 other companies prior missed the issues.  Bruce provided a quote and stuck with me as a partner for 4 months, waiting until I was ready to perform the work.  The Axiom crew came out and replaced our sewer line in record time.  They were professional, very good price and very flexible working on our schedule.  I highly recommend the Axiom team for your next project, big or small.

We recently sold our home in SE Portland. The title report came back with an exception - the City of Portland had a right to lien because we still had a cesspool. This would have prevented the sale, had we not been able quickly connect to the municipal sewer.

Bruce was able to handle everything for us -- the permits, connection, and decommissioning of the old cesspool. They were also able to protect the roots of two giant fir trees that were in the path of the sewer trench. He's very easy to work with, affordable, and quick!

Axiom will be my first call if I ever need excavation work in the future.

Axiom and their crew recently installed a new sewer pipe from our house to the city hookup prior to us selling the house. Their work ethic was apparent from the beginning to end, the pricing was best bid we received, and Rob's care and willingness to think outside the box when their boring machine ran into rocks making it look like the project would be much harder than originally imagined. In the end, they completed the project pretty much on time, for the price agreed upon, and with minimal disruption to our landscape. Axiom should be your first call for excavation, trenching, sewer repair, etc.

I bought a 1946 house a few months ago, and was very disappointed to learn that the line to the cess pool was broken. I called my then, go-to sewer company, but they took too long to respond, and then eventually misdiagnosed the problem. Rather fortuitously, (that very same day, I think!), I received an e-mail from Joshua Hadder, inviting me to call him at Axiom PDX. I did, and he arranged to send one of his chaps over to my property to investigate the problem. Over the next couple of weeks, Joshua and his crew dealt with figuring out the problem; handling all of the permitting; excavating; laying a new line to the street sewer; decommissioning the old cess pool, and completing all of the final inspections, right up to the very end, without a single moment of concern.  I wouldn't wish a broken waste line on anybody, but if this ever comes up again, I wouldn't even consider calling anybody else. Joshua is absolutely the man to talk to, without question. On top of all that, he's a very nice fellow to work with!

I am so grateful I found this company! After a home inspection, some damage to the sewer line was discovered. As I was calling around for bids, I got in touch with Rob. He was so easygoing and knowledgeable on the phone, with a great sense of humor- not a combination I have found in any other contractor. Both he and the project manager Joshua were super friendly and had excellent communication- they even gave me options I hadn't considered, like billing through escrow so I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. Rob was able to come out and get the job done in one day. He did fantastic work! He took a stressful situation and turned it into a very pleasant experience. Even though it was one of our rare hot days, while he was wrapping up I saw him with a hose and rake, fluffing the grass and making the yard look undisturbed.
